Knight In Peril (A Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery) by Alice Bienia – Review by Toni Sellers

Knight In Peril (A Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery #6)Knight In Peril by Alice Bienia
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Knight in Peril may be book #6 in this series, but I definitely think you could read it as a standalone, although I highly recommend that you read them all just to have a little background and insight into who Jorja is and the series as a whole is just fantastic. The suspense alone will pull you right in and you will not want to put it down. Jorja is a strong feisty lead character and relatable. She finds herself traveling foreign country (Istanbul) to meet her best friend Gabriella only to find her missing. Lots of lies, secrets and corruption and more as she is now in a race against time to find her friend. With danger lurking at every corner, you will have to read it to find out if they make it out or not. A definite page turner with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing.

Raining Fish and Frogs by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Toni Sellers

Raining Fish and FrogsRaining Fish and Frogs by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Raining Fish and Frogs is such a cute fun read. I picked it for all my grandkids ages 2-10. It was perfect for them and all of them loved it. We are a family that does a lot of fishing at the lake, so it seemed quite fitting. It was easy for the older ones to read to the 2-year-old. The pictures are great also. If you fish with your kids or grandkids, then this is a perfect book. But its great even if you don’t.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a dystopian sci-fi read. All the characters are excellently detailed and developed. I found it to be a very complex and didn’t want to put it down. Great world building in which you will find action, adventure, danger, Politics and other things that were just downright scary and not so farfetched. I think if you’re a Sci-Fi lover you should definitely give this book a try, you won’t be disappointed.

This is book one in the two-book duo of The Ocean series. You could read it as a standalone, but I highly recommend that you start with this one. Its where we get to meet and know the main character Cal Prescott at 16 at his grandpa’s funeral, and then follow his life till 45 and all the things that shape his complex life into becoming the man he is today. I think you will find this an interesting read and the perfect companion to the next book.

Lottery of SecretsLottery of Secrets by Nadija Mujagic
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A fast paced, well written unpredictable gripping psychological thriller. Full of betrayal, violence lies and much more. The characters are thought out and well developed, easily believable. This book definitely grabs you and pulls you into the fear and paranoia as a good thriller should. As this being book one you will find it to be a cliff hanger, but enough twists and turns that you won’t be disappointed. Winning the lottery isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
