Dragon’s Pursuit: A Red Slaves Novella by Tonya Cannariato – Review by Angela Hayes

Dragon's Pursuit: A Red Slaves NovellaDragon’s Pursuit: A Red Slaves Novella by Tonya Cannariato
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dragon’s Pursuit is a novella in the Red Slaves Series by Tonya Cannariato. It has dragons, romance, battle scenes, action, adventure, some politics, different realms, a corrupt regime, paranormal beings/creatures, and more- all set in futuristic Russia.
This is Maxim Krempenski’s story- he is a political science student and dragon shifter. He’s working on his thesis and not too far away from earning his PhD- which he hopes to use as another means for his shifter family to survive. But his plans get waylaid, as he ends up at the Hotel Paranormal- which is where this story gets really interesting. Add a sexy undercover KGB agent into the mix and the sparks fly. Will Yuliya follow her orders and ultimately betray Max, or will her heart overrule her head?
This is a very short story, with a fast pace that made it really easy to read. Even though you could read this as a standalone, I recommend reading the other books in the series first, as you will have much more information to draw on- which will only improve your enjoyment of this story!
I hope there are more books/novellas yet to come.

Thank you, Ms. Cannariato!

Fire to Dragon (Red Slaves Series Book #3) by Tonya Cannariato – Review by Angela Hayes

Fire to Dragon (Red Slaves Book 3)Fire to Dragon by Tonya Cannariato
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fire to Dragon is the third book in the Red Slaves Series by Tonya Cannariato. As this is the third book in a series, with a continuing storyline, so I highly recommend reading the whole series in the correct sequence to get all the relevant backstory, character information and important details- all of which will enrich your reading experience of this book. The Red Slaves series is a fantastic paranormal/fantasy- that has plenty of action, danger, drama, magic, dragons, romance, mystique, and intrigue. A lot has happened since book 1. Anne has had to come to grips with quite a lot of changes, responsibility, and discoveries. There is a lot riding on her getting things ‘right’. I really have enjoyed this series, and Ms. Cannariato’s interesting take on Dragon Lore. She has a flare for original and imaginative stories that are dynamic and enthralling. After book #2, I couldn’t wait to dive right into this book and see where she takes the storyline and I must say that I think this is the best of the bunch, so far! I hope there are more books in the pipeline.

Thank you, Ms. Cannariato!

Blood to Fire (Red Slaves Series Book #2) by Tonya Cannariato – Review by Angela Hayes

Blood to Fire (Red Slaves #2)Blood to Fire by Tonya Cannariato
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blood to Fire is the second book in the Red Slaves Series by Tonya Cannariato. This is a fantastic paranormal/fantasy- with action, danger, drama, magic, dragons, KGB, romance, and intrigue. Being the second book in the series, and having a continuing storyline, I really recommend reading the first story before jumping into this one. As with the first book, this story had so much going on in it. I loved the authors descriptive style and her attention to detail. She is a superb storyteller, with a flare for unique and memorable storylines.
This book picks up after the events in the previous book. Anne and Ivan are still coming to terms with what happened and are still learning about/how to control their powerful abilities. I really loved these characters, although Anne did frustrate me at times with her though processes and denial. This story had more surprises in store too, which made for captivating reading. This is a dragon lore/Dragon story lover’s dream- with a difference that will keep you hooked till the end!
Looking forward to Book #3!

Thank you, Ms. Cannariato!

Dust to Blood (Red Slaves Series Book #1) by Tonya Cannariato – Review by Angela Hayes

Dust to Blood (Red Slaves, #1)Dust to Blood by Tonya Cannariato
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dust to Blood is the first book in the Red Slaves Series by Tonya Cannariato. I was quite surprised that this story had so much going on in it, and not what I was expecting-but in a good way. This is a paranormal/fantasy with some action, mystery, drama, suspense, dragons, witches, the KGB, and a touch of romance. The story has surprises, twists and had me avidly reading right from the beginning. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Cannariato, and I can confidently say that it certainly won’t be the last.
Anne Crosby finds herself in a very intriguing situation. There are nine mysterious amnesiacs all in the same mindboggling situation and it becomes her job to investigate and unravel the mystery surrounding them. As the story unfolds the developments make for really great reading. I really wasn’t expecting that, and I thought it was quite brilliant on the authors part. The story is creative, imaginative and unique. The characters are very interesting, well developed and individual. Ms. Cannariato has produced a wonderful, polished story that kept me captivated the whole way through. I am looking forward to the second book!

Thank you, Ms. Cannariato!
