A new author to me and what an author to find.
If you like your words learning more towards the dark, this bratva, mafia series is for you, the characters are loveable with a good handful of darkness, and they develop through the books. Between the characters and the world described it is very difficult to put the book down,
Two books in one, honestly what more can you ask for.
In book 1 Wayward: we follow Jay and Sasha in their story, protector and princess, high chemistry and angst, a fantastic read on its own when Sasha finds herself in trouble can Jay both keep her alive and safe and keep his job.
In book2 we continue with Marenah and Matt in Undercover. Marenah is sister to Sasha in Wayward, in book 2 almost everyone has secrets and it weaves a web of deceit, but is deceit for the good of the many enough to complete a mission.
I really enjoyed both books

Isabella Bride of Ohio: American Mail Order Bride by Debra Parmley – Review by Tracy Greenhalgh

Isabella Bride of Ohio: American Mail-Order Brides SeriesIsabella Bride of Ohio: American Mail-Order Brides Series by Debra Parmley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a lovely quick read, the author takes us to 1890 Massachusetts. We meet Isabella and her young friends. Isabella, a Swedish immigrant; made the journey with her mother and father to the new land of the Americas. Left orphaned she finds her way, makes friends and until a fire at the mill where she works she lives a simple life with her friends Lilly, Tabitha, Hope and Trinity.
As there is no sign of reputable work post the fire many of the girls follow the mail order bride route to what they hope is happiness.
Isabella writes and is befriended by Mr Jenks of Ohio, on the train journey to meet him Isabella has a near miss with kidnappers, she is rescued by a gentleman called Tom.
Upon meeting Mr Jenks, Isabella quickly becomes Mrs Donald Jenks, unbeknown to her this is a stipulation of a will, Mr Jenks shows his true colours.
After angst and violence, plots of murder and then attempted abduction Isabella finally knows the truth and finds her happy ever after.
I will certainly be reading more from this author.

Finding Starlight (Quimby Grove Book 1) by Shannon Nikole – Review by Tracy Greenhalgh

Finding Starlight (Quimby Grove #1)Finding Starlight by Shannon Nikole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a lovely feel good read.
We follow Ellawyn as she leaves a very toxic and abusive relationship, not only leaving her ex behind but also her family. Quimby Grove is the little town that she stops at and Starlight is the name of the shop where she hides herself daily. Hiding, healing and finding another family in Benji, owner of Starlight.
Beckett returns home to look after his grandfather. The relationship between him and Ellawyn is not always smooth but you find yourself following the path that the author lays for you. The characters are well written and grow with the story. I enjoyed following the tale of sadness, self-belief, heartache and making peace with the past and thankfully a happy ever after.
I hope there is more from Quimby Grove.
