If you want a quick, easy, feel-good holiday read with a little steam, A Cold Creek Christmas (Reigning Hearts #5) is for you. This is a great one to fit in on your flight or drive heading over the river and through the woods….it’s not so complex that you have a ton of characters and details to remember. Perfect for when you only have a short time to read over your holiday break. I loved how Italian stallion Giovanni was able to help the heart of Amber, the town Grinch, grow three sizes. They hit it off quickly and there are a few steamy moments that might inspire your Christmas to be merry and bright.

A fast, entertaining read! Rock Me to the Top: A Gracefall Rock Star Romance, is the story of best friends since childhood who have feelings for each other but hesitate to tell the other because it would mean they cross the line out of the friend zone. Melody grew up with a rock and roll family and Joe has just hit it big, landing a tour headlining with his band. She joins the band on the road as their tour manager, and the couple has to learn to adapt to life on the road. Nervous to take the leap because of what the rock and roll life can do to a couple, Melody finally admits her feelings and accepts Joe’s adoration. Whether or not they can make it work is what you’ll need to read to find out.

This was such a fun read! The characters are relatable and it’s just a good story. You begin to root for them and laugh a bit along the way too. Just enough steam! Well written and a nice, fast read. I’d read more by this author, no doubt!

This was a great one – – I personally enjoy the ‘enemies to lovers’ story line. In Slow Burn there was nice character development and they had relatable, real-world issues to work through. I think I read this in two short sittings, and it has enough steam and intrigue to keep the reader engaged but it’s not overly explicit. In the end you’re rooting for Adam and Maddie to end up together but the author makes you wait right up until the end to reveal if they will or not. I’d read more from A.K. MacBride!

I absolutely adored this book! I don’t know how many Nolan has written but it feels like she’s been doing this for years. This was a feel-good book for me. I felt like I knew the characters and the story was just GOOD – – a nice amount of romance, not a ton of swearing or vulgarity. I had a hard time putting it down! I see there are two other books that tell the other two sisters’ stories and I look forward to reading them.

I didn’t love this book but I appreciate the suspense and twists and turns. I thought I had this one figured out a few times but I kept changing my mind back and forth. A few good twists and turns with an unexpected ending…my kind of mystery. There were a few times I got a little lost, and some details weren’t really pertinent to the story. It was a fairly quick read and was a break from the usual.

I really enjoyed this story! It’s a sweet, feel-good story with characters you will root for. There’s romance but not a lot of steam. It was nice to read something clean! I found both Adam and Jody, the main characters, to be relatable and I liked the story being told from both points of view. This was an easy read for those who want to escape from real life for a bit but not have to follow complicated twists and turns. The author described the little town well enough that I wouldn’t mind visiting the seaside village myself.

I was not prepared for the amount of steam in this contemporary romance, but I’m not saying that’s a bad thing! 😉 There were definitely some pearl-clutching scenes.
Sarah is a professor of sociology and James is in the Army. They meet and have an instant connection and when they are together intimately, they both feel like it feels so normal and that it’s just right.
Sarah is polyamorous, which was a lifestyle that was new to me to read about. She loves sex and isn’t ashamed to admit it. She’s not looking for a relationship, just a friend with benefits.
James is accepting of Sarah’s lifestyle, and even explores things himself. He agrees to a friends with benefits arrangement, but when no clear rules were set, things become murky.
Sarah wasn’t supposed to fall in love but realizes that she has done just that. She finds herself having a hard time knowing that James has also found himself in love with another person, despite his and Sarah’s FWB arrangement.
With an impending deployment, there are some tough decisions that need to be made. Will James choose Maggie, the high school sweetheart with whom he recently reconnected back home? Or will he choose Sarah, the woman he’s grown to love over several months?
