I love fantasy novels! Especially ones with a strong female lead. This book was very good. Titania is such a strong character. She’s dealt with so much at a young age and still thrives. I cannot wait to read more of her and her family’s story. Will there be a time when she’s able to live without threat to the fae world? What of her and her suitors? So many questions that I hope gets answered in the next book.

Wow! I didn’t know much about this book before diving in– I thought the artwork was pretty cool and have enjoyed reading about the fae realm in the past, so I decided to try it out. Let me tell you, I was NOT let down. In fact, I might even add Tricia Copeland to my list of favorite authors. To be a Fae Queen was everything I didn’t know I needed right now– drama, mystery, magic, and a little bit of romance. Titiana is a truly amazing heroine– I was rooting for her from the very beginning. The trials and tribulations she faced along her journey were unlike other stories I have read. I truly hope there is more to come!

Titania is a 15 year old fae princess facing the toughest decisions of her life. She is the last of the line in her family. Her mother is basically catatonic with grief after her brothers where lost in the last wars. She has to decide whether to fight to rule the kingdom or should she allow a male to rule? Should she help with the search for the Kobolds and why they are getting in without being noticed? Or will a marriage help? Tough decisions for an adult, much less a teen. Her father sees her as a child and a girl. He seems to leave her out of decisions so she has to fight ever step of the way. She is amazing strong, stubborn, and brave. With the help of a few friends, she gets through every challenge thrown at her. This is a book that you cannot put down once you start. You will be drawn in by the characters. The descriptions of the house and palace system; the character descriptions; to the action will completely draw you in. It’s got a little of something for everyone. You really just need to read this. I’m looking forward to reading more of thiss series. I hope you’ll join me. Highly recommended.

This book tackles misogyny in the best possible way. Titania is such an amazing heroine, that she had me rooting for her from the very first page. I absolutely adore the way that she faced her personal demons and the misogyny surrounding her with grace and fire! Tricia Copeland created a beautiful world that drew me in from the very beginning. This book is full of adventure, magic, wonder and romance, all while dealing with very real issues that unfortunately still affect women the world over. As a woman, I really connected with Titania and the struggles that she faced simply for being a woman. I went through so many different emotions reading this book because it has such depth to it. I am eager to read what’s to come in the rest of this amazing series.

This is a young adult fantasy novel. I love books based on the Fae, the Throne of Glass sériées being one of my favourites. I was really excited to find this book. Titania has suffered loss in her young life which leaves her with anxiety attacks. After a few years of training to become queen, she never expected to rise to the throne at fifteen years old. The situation being as it is, she needs to rise to the occasion and overcome obstacles set before her. There are problems within the castle and dangerous threats outside. Who can she trust to help her protect her realm and her people?
I loved the fact that Titania was smart, strong willed and caring. I think it was a little unrealistic how brave she was for a fifteen year old who has panic attacks, regardless I liked her anyways. I believe she has great potential. I liked that there were other supernaturals involved ie: witches, vampires and angels. Although not all made an appearance in this book, it adds potential to future books in this series. My only issue is that I found the story long. I feel like this book could have been written in two books. I found the story interesting and see many ways that the author can expand upon. I’m looking forward to reading more about these characters.

I once again found a new series to get my teeth into. This is the first book and I was hooked from the get go. The author has such a unique and refreshing plot and story. The characters are endearing.
I found that there was just the right amount of adventure and drama that holds the reader and keeps you wanting more. I like how the build up of the story is written and how there is a bit of tension. I cannot wait to read more from this series.

Fae, Magick and Action What an absolutely magnificent series starter. I was engaged from start to finish and so vested in Titania. She was such a strong, fierce and devoted character. Witches and Vampires have been at it forever and I thought that I have read all there is to this trope but then Tricia Copeland comes out of nowhere and surprises me with this gem of a series. Kingdom of war is the 4th book in the series and I do recommend that you start this series from the beginning. This is Hunter’s story and Tricia took us on an epic adventure with Hunter as he lives up to his vow of protecting the witch lines. The character development is great and the storyline is well thought out. There was one or two places where I got a bit confused but it didn’t take away from the story. The narrator also did a great job (not the voice I would fit with Hunter but still he did an amazing job)

Kingdom of War: Kingdom Journals, Book 4 by Tricia Copeland 4 out of 5 stars Tricia Copeland is one of my favorite authors. I have read many books of hers and thus I was delighted to pick up this little gem. This is the fourth installment in the Kingdom Journals series and a fabulous addition to the set. We meet up with Hunter who is the leader of a long-awaited trinity. Those who are going to restore the order. As his story progresses, I am reminded of Hercules and the requirement of the 12 labors, I find that these are similar to Hunter and the trials that he must complete. Hunter is a complex and often frustrating character as he is constantly at battle with himself and his growing power. He is struggling to control what he thinks is not his and not turn into the father whom he hates. The other two of the trinity are fantastic characters to Hunter and compliment him very well. The conversation, banter, and story progression make this a completely easy read or listen to. Lovers of Paranormal/Romance/Young Adult/Fantasy will love this book. 4 out of 5 stars.

The fourth book in the Kingdom Journals. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing as to what is next the entire read. Tricia Copeland has a great ability to create her world so that you feel a part of it. This was my first read by this author and while I haven’t read the first three installments, I did not for one moment feel confused as to what was going on. This epic battle of witches versus vampires can go so many ways and I love how it has played out so far. I look forward to reading more and seeing the story through the eyes of the other players in this story.

Great book with lots of action. If you love stories with witches, vampires and magic like I do this book is for you. I really enjoyed Hunter’s side of this book. Hunter was granted his powers and needs to know how to use them as he is a strong leader against the evil him and his friends are against. The story just flowed and the characters are fantastic. There were twists and turns throughout the book that keep you at the edge of your seat. I’m familiar with Copeland’s work and specifically this book. I enjoyed it on first read but thought the audio took it to an interesting level. I appreciated the narrator’s interpretation of the work and the depth provided to this fantasy. If you enjoy a well written fantasy, this book is one worthy of adding to your library in print and audio.

I didn’t realize when I was listening to this book that it was book 4 in the series. The book had an exciting plot and many twists and turns along the way. I was able to understand what was going on fairly well, but I think I would have been much more connected to the characters had I read at the start. I also think that the flow of the book narration could be improved a bit. I found the characters sometimes changing locations or conversations without realizing until a good way through. I think the narration could have made use of some pauses between scene changes to help this. In general, interesting book, plot was well thought out, and I need to go back to the beginning so that I can enjoy this story from the start! Excited to read more from Tricia Copeland.

Kingdom Of War Audio Book by Tricia Copeland if the fourth book in the Kingdom Journals. I would definitely recommend listening to these books in order as it is a continuation of the story.
This was such a fast paced book with a lot going on. I found that I really had to make sure I was listening as it would have been easy to miss something important. I really liked the narrator chosen for this book. He did a great job of portraying the different characters and making the book feel exciting. He definitely added to the story.
This is a really great story that I thoroughly enjoyed and it is a strong addition to the series.

Kingdom of War is the fourth book in the Kingdom Journals series by Tricia Copeland. This is the first book in this series that I have listened to and I had no problem following the story. That being said, I wish I would have listened to the first three books in this series. I’m planning to go back now and start from the beginning. This book is filled with action, adventure, romance and the question most pounder.. Good vs. Evil. The story was very detailed, an interesting mix of characters. This is Hunter’s story, and his part in the Trinity of Light. I believe this is a story for all ages. If you love paranormal fantasies, I would highly recommend this book.
The narrator in Dan Delgado. This is the first book I have listened to with his narration. I enjoyed the timber of his voice and the emotion he brought to the characters was extremely enlightening.

This is a book which delves into the world of mystical creatures, witches and paranormal things and although the story really drawn me in I was a little lost as I had not listen to the first three books. Although that said it did not deter me from enjoying this book.
The characters are intriguing together and drives the story through them, with the searching for the lost ancient segments of the sword they encounter evil and good along the way. This is not my normal genre and sometimes I do find it a little unbelievable but I was invested with these characters from the beginning and wanting them to overcome the dangers and reach the prize at the end.
This story is well read and the narrator has a hypnotic voice which does have you listening deeply to the story. I think I will need to go back and start from the beginning to properly get the overall brilliance of this series.

Action, adventure, drama, and a coming of age all rolled into one! What a wonderful audiobook to have selected for our family road trip this summer! While my kids are older teens, it had enough excitement and mystery to keep the whole car on edge and following along. I think it even helped make the bathroom breaks shorter, because everyone wanted to know what happened next!! The author is a master at world-building, it is fast-paced in a good way, and the narrator had a wonderful way of making the book come alive! I highly recommend this series and only wish I would have found it when my son was younger. @pippawoods

I have to say that I once again have found a new series and have started out of order but man I was not out of place. I really liked that I was able to listen to this book as I went about my day to day life and soak up the drama and adventure. I really felt like I was right there beside the characters as the book went on.
The characters are unique and the author has a refreshing plot and story. I found that it was just the right balance of drama and adventure. To Be a Fae Queen by Tricia Copeland is a very interesting take on the faerie stories, though I was not expecting the story to be about a Titania and Oberon that were not THE Titania and Oberon that end up ruling over the Seelie court together. The pacing at times felt a bit awkward, there would be an event that would happen but would not get talked about and I would have to go back to see if they had even finished the event or if it was going to be continued later. Other than that, I did really enjoy the story of Titania coming into her own power and faith of herself as she deals with anxiety and having lost most of her family, it can be seen in a very inspiring way. It was also very fun to see it bring in witches and vampires into the storyline to bring those genres together. I do always enjoy watching characters go from one type of life and must adjust into another type of life very suddenly. This is recommended if you enjoy anything faerie related.

This epic fantasy read kept me up feeling all kinds of emotions! Titania is the fearless character everyone loves to read about. Having to decide what is best for her and the kingdom is not an easy task. I love how the author ties in real life complications in a fae world. I also love Tricia Copelands descriptions of the fae world and their traditions! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

If you’re looking for something cute and relatively light, overall, this is a great choice. A few times, the book seems to move way too fast, and other times, it moves way too slowly, and some of the character relationships seem a little two-dimensional. However, overall, the main character has some interesting challenges she has to overcome. Though I did feel that I was somewhat “tossed into the world,” with very little explanation as to what was and wasn’t allowed to happen, you definitely pick it up fairly quickly. It’s a fun little adventure that I found myself captivated by, despite some of the things I thought I maybe didn’t like.

To Be a Fae Queen is the first book in The Realm Chronicles by Tricia Copeland. This epic fantasy adventure is centered around a 15-year-old princess Titania, who is forced to take on the throne after the death of her three brothers. Her father trains her in weaponry, music, books and history making her a well-rounded capable woman. But, when the real calamity hits, he stonewalls his daughter and entrusts his army to trace the enemy. But when the army fails, Titania has to take the responsibility on herself to find this new enemy who is responsible of stealing something very valuable which belongs to her and her father. This is a coming-of-age adventure princess story filled with action, mystery and danger. Titania is a very fiery heroine, though I did feel her character is a bit too mature for the age. The challenges she faces are grave and the obstacles many. The crown comes with a hefty price to pay. How Titania embraces all these challenges forms a very captivating plot and I am looking forward for more of her adventures in the coming books.

With twists and turns at every corner, you are not sure Titania, the main character, is going to catch a break. While Titania is still trying to heal from trauma in her past, she is thrown head first into trying to fight for her right to rule her kingdom. Will Titania be able to handle the immense pressure of being born into royalty, or will she cripple and leave her family torn apart?
Copeland delivers a great tale of a young girl fighting for her kingdom in this magical, adventure packed tale.

I am a Fantasy and YA book lover, but this is my first Fae novel… I wasn’t sure if I’d like it or not. I have to say that I was impressed. Tatiana is a great heroine, smart, fearless, brave, and compassionate. She knows her mind, and is unafraid to be stubborn and follow the paths her instincts tell her to be true. This book has all the markings of great YA lore: a gutsy hero, an adventure to save a kingdom, and many trials along the way for Tatiana to prove her worthiness, or die trying. She is a well-rounded character and as admirable as any in the face of battle. Her close compatriots are also very well crafted and diverse: Foster, her potential love interest; Kane, the loyal and smart general; Tatiana’s own father, the king, whom she admires and is often a confidante. I was very invested in the outcome, and impressed with the depiction of the magical world. Copeland is very skilled at drawing the reader in with her characters, beautiful word illustrations of Middle Earth, and lots of battles and tests to keep readers engaged. A good escape that I thoroughly enjoyed.
