Flame and Crystal Thorns (Fae and Crystal Thorns Book 1) by Kay L. Moody – Review by Trisha Cargile

Flame and Crystal Thorns (Fae and Crystal Thorns, #1)Flame and Crystal Thorns by Kay L. Moody
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Flame and Crystal Thorns was a true fantasy novel that let me escape the real world, in the best of ways! This book had the romance, adventures, imagery, headstrong that we all hope to find. The main character makes strong similarities with us here in the real world, which brings this fantasy to life. I will admit that now I have to read Kay L Moody’s other series that follow’s Elora as I feel it would have made a better experience as a first time reader of hers. Overall this is an engaging, wonderful read that was hard to put down.

A Veil of Gods and Kings was nothing less than riveting. From the enemies to lovers, the romance, the mythology, and the yearning to relate to the characters; it was truly magical. This book puts a spin on the commonly known versions of mythology and allows your imagination and visualization to run wild with the imagery and emotion pull that is written. This is definitely a 10 out of 10 recommended!

Grace is a young adult who is trying to find herself in this world after she’s been thru some of her own personal Hell. Ian is the hot, young neighbor that lives in the same building. Fate would have them living together after Grace had enough with her roommate. The intensity, ferocity, and force of this story will be sure to keep you up turning the pages. You won’t be able to put down this story because you’ll want to keep with the pace that the author wrote.
Grace and Ian both have their own demons to work thru but doing that together may leave them broken. If you love love and if you love steamy romance, this is the book for you!

Class Clown by Allan Evans – Review by Trisha Cargile

Class ClownClass Clown by Allan Evans
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Class Clown by Allan Evans is part of series, of which I didn’t realize therefore I didn’t read the first book. This book itself stood out on its own as a singular book; however, I feel like some of the characters back story may have been explained in the first book which would have helped understand the background a bit more. For that reason alone, it took me a bit longer to get into that most books and is the reason I chose 4 stars. That being said, this book was absolutely an exciting, interesting read. It’s as though it’s inspiring to be a horror novel, but not quite on the Stephen King level as it wants to appear more towards the young adults. Overall, this captured my attention and was a phenomenal read.
