I adored this book. I have read many steamy books lately, and this was the perfect palette cleanser I didn’t know I needed. This was my first book to read by the authors and when I finished I immediately went and looked for more. It is a small-town mystery with a strong female lead, gossipy old ladies, and what turns out to be good friends. Definitely recommend this one to others.

Grave Digger II is a fun and fast-paced book. C.A. King does an excellent job not only giving lots of information about Makayla and the others but making it very easy to visualize what the academy is like. It’s a YA paranormal novel, but I think readers of many ages will absolutely enjoy reading about Makayla’s second year at the academy.

As someone who has six siblings, I enjoyed the bantering between Makayla and her siblings. Even though they go to different schools and compete, her brother stands up for her when it comes to others messing with his sister. I can’t wait to see what is in store for us in the third book in this series.
