WOW … what a great read. It will keep you engrossed and turning pages as fast as you can read. Tess and Ryan have an instant attraction to each other, and their chemistry just keeps building. With the support of family and friends they overcome a few obstacles and eventually find what it is they are needing and wanting. I really enjoyed this first book in the trilogy and am excited to start the next.

As you start this series you are met with Tess and Ryan. Upon further looking into this author I found out that this is actually a spin off of another series that they have written. I am a sucker for small town romances. This was so fun to read and the characters’ chemistry was well written in all aspects. You get to experience the ups and downs with both Tess and Ryan. This had me ready to dive into the next as soon as I got the chance.

He feels that a camping trip may help to clear his head and heal him up just enough that he can start moving on as a single man. For Tess the journey is one of reflection. I had only read one book by this author before, but I really enjoyed it so I picked this one up as well. This turned out to be such a cute and romantic story! I truly love the main characters, Tess and Ryan. The chemistry and banter between them felt so natural and made it a joy to read about their relationship. The author’s writing style is subtle yet addictive, and I found myself finishing the book not long after picking it up. The flow of the story is natural and unfolds at a wonderful pace. I highly recommend picking this up if you are a fan of contemporary romances with relatable characters. I am so excited to pick up the next book in the series because I absolutely need more of this author’s writing!

Trusting Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 1)
I devoured the original series and was so excited to find a new series by Ms. Navickas. This is a spinoff series which it took me a minute to figure out and when I did I was so happy.
Tess who was hated by many is finally moving on with her life after the divorce from Josh. She bought the local paper and keeping herself busy. A chance encounter changes everything.
Ryan has a wall around his heart after it was shattered. He isn’t opposed to a good time and having fun but has no plans to fall in love at this time.
I loved seeing Tess redeem herself from an angry bitter woman to someone who finds happiness and getting to know not only Ryan but his siblings too.
Reading the earlier series isnt necessary but it will make you understand Tess and her transformation. Already finished the second book in this series and impatiently waiting for the third book.

In “Trusting Love,” Julie Navickas weaves a spellbinding tale of romance, healing, and the courage it takes to open one’s heart again. Navickas showcases her talent for creating authentic and compelling narratives with her portrayal of the protagonists, whose journey towards love is as much about finding each other as it is about self-discovery. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, making their interactions a highlight of the novel. Through their eyes, readers explore themes of vulnerability, trust, and the transformative power of love. The author’s writing style is both engaging and evocative, with a knack for capturing the nuanced moments that make relationships feel real. Set against a backdrop that is as charming as the story itself, “Trusting Love” takes readers on a journey that is heartwarming, thought-provoking, and ultimately uplifting. Julie Navickas has crafted a novel that not only entertains but also resonates on a deeply emotional level, making “Trusting Love” a captivating read for anyone who believes in the power of love to heal and transform.

Tess Browning is bored running the newspaper she bought after her marriage fell apart. She feels stuck in her job, until Ryan Prescott comes in to put an ad in her paper, and she offers to trade him space in her paper for work in her offices. When the pair fall for each other quickly, all seems well until Ryan is told about Tess’s history, something she deeply regrets. Due to an unhappy marriage, she made the mistake of cheating on her now ex-husband, who was in love with his ex-girlfriend the entire time they were together. Ryan has his own history with being cheated on and manipulated, and finds it hard to truth Tess after learning the truth. The pair must figure out how to work through their problems, and make it all work. This is book one in the Clumsy Little Hearts trilogy, but can be read as a stand-alone.

I loved this cute contemporary romance! I can’t wait to read the next one, but for now this is book one to the series. It’s about Tess and Ryan. Tess is starting over. She was in a loveless marriage for years. She’s done a series of things she regrets. And she’s just ready for change. Starting with painting the inside of the paper she owns. Ryan has been hurt badly. He won’t tolerate dishonesty. And he has to make some changes. His partner takes a year leave so his work game plan must change. Now! He goes to the paper to put in an ad and meets Tess. They hit it off so well! The bantering between the two is funny and steamy and super cute. You can picture these two falling in love. Even with warnings to Ryan, they fall fast and quick. He takes her (city girl) on a couple camping trip and boy is that funny! Nothing goes as planned. But Tess has a past that’s creeping in and it goes against all Ryan’s values. She knows if he finds out it will be the end of their relationship. Such a great story!! I could see this turned into a movie! I’d watch it!! Off to read book two!!

This is the first book in the Clumsy little hearts trilogy. After reading the Trading Hearts Trilogy I just had to carry on with this new Trilogy. This is a story about finding love, learning to trust, learning to forgive and ultimately letting go of the past so you can have a better future. Our main female character Tess has had problems in her past and her behaviour is something she isn’t proud of however she is trying to change and become a better person. Ryan has a past too as he is struggling to overcome the trust issues cause by a previous relationship. Their connection is instant but when their pasts collide could it destroy the future happiness they are trying to build? This is an emotional story as both Tess and Ryan battle their demons from the past. It is also heartwarming because as much as they fear the other person and what their romance could mean they are also powerless to fight against it. As a reader you find yourself hoping their get their HEA. I loved this story and was captivated enough that I read it in one sitting. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Trusting Love is Book 1 of the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy and I absolutely loved this book. Julie has this hold on me that once I start reading the story I cannot put it down. I adored the connection between Tess and Ryan, the flirty banter, romance, friendship but also getting over broken pasts that had a hold of them both for so long, trust issues and redeeming love.
Tess has a past reputation that is not so great. Once upon a time, in a marriage that was not full of love, Tess gave up long ago dreams….but now works and owns a local newspaper. When Ryan needs help when his business partner needs to take leave, Ryan takes an ad for help. What Ryan did not know was falling for the girl whom helped him take out the ad. Tess and Ryan have this instant connection and spark, truly undeniable. When the past come back to rear its doubt….and with Ryan and his trust issue, will Tess and Ryan be able to trust in their love enough….
I cannot wait to dive into book 2!! Knowing this feeling I am going to love every moment of this new trilogy….definitely do yourself a favor and read this wonderful story.

Trusting Love by Julie Navickas is book 1 in the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy. Tess Browning is trying to move from her divorce but keeps being reminded of the mistakes she made that contributed to the divorce. Fortunately, her past and her present collide and she meets Ryan Prescott. I loved the instant chemistry that Tess and Ryan had. While I usually like a slow burn, these two just clicked and seemed so right. I enjoyed how these two played off of each other. I also liked how they were both afraid but just stepped out on faith. I also enjoyed getting to see Ryan’s relationship with his family. He truly deserved happiness. This is a fun and romantic story.

What a hilarious read this was, it’s like a city girl thrown into the wilderness all for a chance at love, so awesome! This book was a great world-building experience showing how far people will go to get to know someone they have a spark with. As Tess and Ryan get to know one another, Tess realizes that it is a small world, especially when it comes to love. That and past mistakes have a terrible way of rearing their ugly head when you least expect or want them to come out. Tess has realized that her past actions do not have to continue to define her present lifestyle or prevent her chance at a true romance. The only problem is that Ryan, the man she’s falling in love with, despises dishonesty, and cheaters…will Tess be able to admit her past mistakes and move forward with Ryan, or will this be a deal breaker for him as he works to overcome his broken heart from his ex-girlfriend Vicky who ripped his heart out at the worst time possible. This is the first book in the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy and the first book of Julie Navickas that I’d ever read. I must say that I adore her writing style and cannot wait to continue with this series as well as go back and read her prior trilogy where we get to know several of our side character’s stories. The characters are so well-developed and are all linked in such a manner that they are all connected in their storylines. This book was such a great read, I could not put it down, I had to continue reading because I didn’t want their story to end! @Brandy Rymer 07/2024

Trusting Love was a fun read! First book I’ve read by Julie Navickas and I enjoyed her realistic portrayal of the quickly developing romance. The main characters both had independent backstories that really added to the progression of their relationship (for better or for worse!). Both Tess and Ryan have had rocky previous relationships and easily let their past issues become present, but their family and friends help them work through their issues and push them to better their circumstances. Fun read! Excited to read the rest of trilogy!

I want to be friends with the characters and families in this book and I want to live close to them. Tess has a history but is trying to move on and do better. Ryan swooped in and taught her new things about herself while trying to get past his past as well. Their first date in a hardware store turns into so much more. He invites her on a family camping trip which is so out of her wheelhouse. She is a city girl who loves her heels and doesn’t want to wear sneakers because they are ugly. She learns to fish, sleeps under the stars, and starts to feel all the feels about Ryan. He was cheated on and is still not over the broken heart more than a year later. Tess opens his eyes and his heart again and his family loves her, but she is still holding onto a big secret that could tear them apart. The characters and storylines are relatable and I couldn’t put it down!

Tess gave up all her dreams to follow the man of her heart, only to find out he didn’t really love her after several years of marriage. Tess admits that she wasn’t perfect and has a few regrets. Her newspaper publishing business isn’t near where she’d like but she’s just not finding much happiness these days.
Ryan just got dumped by his business partner and isn’t sure how he’s going to make ends meet by himself. He goes to place an ad in a local newspaper and life changes very rapidly for him. Can he get past his past with Vicki and ever find happiness again?
This book is full of grief, pain, lost loves, redemption, and healing. I love the chemistry between Ryan and Tess even though things moved way too fast in my opinion. I laughed and cried reading this story!

This is the first book by this author that I have read and it won’t be the last. I can’t wait to start reading the rest of the series. So far the cast of characters and the story line are holding my interest and I just can’t get enough. I am going to check out other books by this author.
Ryan and Mitch are partners and when they finished this flip together, Mitch announced to Ryan that he was taking a year off to spend time with his wife and help her with their newborn. Ryan isn’t sure what he is going to do while Mitch is off. Mitch suggests that he go to the newspaper and see Tess. She will help him place an ad and find odd jobs to tide him over til Mitch comes back.
Check out this series and I think you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Loving the cover art and I wish I could just climb in and join them 🤣😉
Tess was married before and unfortunately she was unfaithful which led to the end of her marriage but I’m not playing judge and jury so I’ll leave it there for now …. she also runs the local paper and let’s face it newspapers are dying out especially our local small town editions but she’s trying I’ll give her that much ….she’s burnt her fingers with relationships and doesn’t think she’ll be in one again , that is until Ryan crosses her path 😉
Ryan and Mitch are in business together , they flip houses and they’re good at it . Mitch let’s Ryan know that he’s going to take a sabbatical of sorts as his wife is having their first little one and for that I love him but it does leave Ryan in a bit of a pinch , Mitch suggest he runs an as in the paper for handyman jobs and that’s when his path crosses with Tess’s 🔥 it was instant attraction but Ryan has some really strong boundaries and with Tess’s past I’m a little worried , she needs to play open cards from the start …,,
So Ryan and Tess are soooooo good together but Tess is trying to hide her past which naturally will cause a few hiccups but it was fun watching them together they just flow really and Tess gets an added bonus in Rachel as a friend , I’d say she got a 2 for one SPECIAL🥰
I laughed , I cried , I got frustrated but I also learnt , again , that being honest is always the best because with that comes forgiveness , healing and redemption which then leads to growth , peace , love , joy and happiness and isn’t that what we all want !?

The story of Tess and Ryan was such a heartfelt journey. Tess was torn up about her past and fell for Ryan in an instant. Her past threatened everything that Ryan had ever been through, and she didn’t know how he would ever forgive her. The family involved in this book is a big part and the support they give each other. Through it all, Tess and Ryan had explosive chemistry and I didn’t want to put the book down. I’m anxiously awaiting the rest of the series!!

When I first read the Trading Heartbeats trilogy, I thought to myself that I was definitely a fan of this fabulous Author But I have to say after reading this first book of the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy I am totally and completely hooked!! When I see her name from now I will know I need to read her books! It’s that simple. The wonderful characters she creates, the storylines she weaves and the emotions she draws from the page are simply not to be missed!! I was happy to see Tess back and getting her own story. This book was so many things it truly is hard to describe. Filled with so many emotion stirring elements, passion, love, tears and even humour this is a page turner because you have to know what’s happening next. Bring on book 2!!!!

This book is the first in a new series and is a book all about the connection between the main characters. Each had a past that they needed to overcome so they could move forwards. They were obviously well suited even if they were clearly going to have to find a way to let everything go and it was great to watch them do it. I though the book was well written. It was engaging and entertaining. The author managed to add a lot of emotion to the story which added another layer to it. I have read a few books by this author and they are always enjoyable books. This is a great start to a new series and I am looking forward to the next.

I fell in love with this contemporary romance. I’m a sucker for a couple dealing with a painful past that they have to get over. The strength it takes to make a go is worth reading. I found their chemistry to be exciting. The story is entertaining and got a few giggles out of me. It is engaging and the characters are relatable. The one thing I can always enjoy in this author’s books is the fact that her characters are so unique and so very relatable. Another winner in my book. I recommend this one.

This story of Tess and Ryan was super sweet. My heart broke when the evens with Ryan and his longtime girlfriend/fiancé broke it off. But I’m glad he did because I did not like her one bit. Tess wasn’t my favorite in the beginning, but as she began to grow and learn from her past mistakes she got better. The self-loathing did seem a little much, but both were stuck in the spiral of self-depreciation, and that’s sometimes hard to get out of. Julie really did an excellent job with this story and I really enjoyed it a lot. The spice was there and the romance progression was really well done! The storytelling was done beautifully and It was a good pallet cleanser between my dark romance stories.

Trusting Love is the first book in the Trading Heartbeats Trilogy by Julie Navickas. It is an angsty and emotional contemporary romance all about new beginnings, redemption, and finding love unexpectedly. I have to be honest here and say I was not sure I ‘wanted’ to read this book when I first read the blurb as I realised ‘who’ the FMC was. But, as I have always enjoyed the stories that Ms. Navickas has written, I decided to trust her, take a chance, and dive in. And I am soooo glad that I did. We met Tess Browning in the Trading Heartbeats Trilogy, and I didn’t particularly ‘like’ her there (and that’s putting it very mildly)- so I was pretty certain that I wouldn’t like her here either. But, I was so wrong. She, and Ms. Navickas won me over with this heartwarming story of love and redemption! All the ‘feels’… Happy Reading!

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Tess Browning has the nickname ‘Little Vixen’ and she has earned it! Playing by the rules just resulted in her having been trapped in a loveless marriage. Commitment and faithfulness are not important to Tess, preferring to keep things ‘fun, flirty and sultry’. Meanwhile Ryan Prescott has been left emotionally damaged and with a broken heart by a past relationship. When Tess and Ryan meet they share an instant connection and Ryan manages to charm his way into her heart. But Ryan is wary after his last relationship and when the details come to light, Tess knows he won’t like her past indiscretions. Therefore, she will do anything to keep him in the dark, but Ryan hates dishonesty and if he finds out her secret it may ruin both their chances at true love. I liked how the story was told from multiple POV’s, but I wasn’t keen on the third person narrative. However, over all I enjoyed the heartwarming and emotional storyline and I found the characters likeable and relatable. Ryan and Tess’s chemistry came across in the narrative and I was hoping they would get their HEA, No Spoilers, I recommend reading this romance to find out the outcome!!

I loved the Trading Heartbeats trilogy & now Tess has her own Trilogy in Clumsy Litte Hearts. I was so excited when I saw this, so I clicked, & it became mine. Julie has the knack to have found the perfect formula to a perfect love story. Anybody that has not read anything by Julie, I encourage you to do so. I know you won’t be disappointed because I have become addicted. There is much to learn in Julie’s language of love. Trusting Love is a wonderfully passionate & steamy tale. The characters are beautifully written, & I have fallen in love again. This complex tale is woven together with broken hearts, broken trust, broken souls, love, sweat, passion, pain, tears, & humour. It is an emotive tale yet there are times that had me laughing as well. I was so enamoured with this story that I read it in one go. I enjoyed it so much I am off to read the next book in the Trilogy, Finding Love.
