Special Agent Charli is the sixth book in the Undercover FBI series by Mimi Barbour. I’m not sure how I missed this first five in this series but I did. Luckily this one at least is a standalone.
Charli is amazing, there is just no other way to describe her. For starters she is an FBI agent, plus she has a heart of gold and the worlds best Grandfather.
Blake finds his way to the life he is meant to have. He has accomplished a lot on his professional career with the police department but his personal life is not satisfactory.
I loved Poppa John and wish I had been lucky enough to be as close to my Grandfather.
This is the first book I have read by this author but it won’t be the last.

Special Agent Charli by Mimi Barbour is the sixth book in the Undercover FBI Series. I was pulled in from the first page of the story and did not stop reading till I finished the book. I did not want it to end. The writing flows with ease and it is very engaging. The story has a bit of everything from suspense, action, mystery and love for family. The characters are well developed, very real and were easy to connect with and understand. The secondary characters were perfectly written in the story and fit right in. I highly recommend Special Agent Charli.

The only thing that stopped me from giving this book 5 stars was the fact that I missed where the main characters fell in love. I wouldn’t know to tell what exactly happens between Charli and Blake. If it was insta -love or if it came gradually. Suddenly they just love each other. And it’s a shame because they are deep characters and I wanted that moment as out there as possible. Charli has such a big heart and so much love to share that only someone like Blake could open her eyes. Blake, who ironically has been a womanizer all his life.
A story about forgiving youself, Charli ‘s case, about second chances, Kayla & Angie, and about believing that not all red heads are the same, right Blake?!?! As for Poppa John? I simply love him, thank you for your wisdom 🙂

Special Agent Charli (Undercover FBI Book 6) by Mimi Barbour. While this is book 6 it can be read as a standalone without any questions or confusion. From page I was drawn into this story. Charli’s character is one that I immediately took a liking to, she’s a bit different than normal female main characters. A bit of a tougher nut to crack as she’s built walls high. All the characters in this story brought something unique and different to the story, even ones that I didn’t click with immediately still warmed their way into my heart by the end. They mystery of the story is well written and paced nicely, definitely left me on the edge of my seat more than once. I read this as a standalone but I definitely can’t wait to read the other in this series. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone.

Special Agent Charli by Mimi Barbour is the sixth installment of the Undercover FBI series. This story is a suspenseful, romance thriller which can be read as a standalone. With the scene in the first chapter, I was completely hooked into the storyline and couldn’t stop reading to find out what would happen. This is the story of Charli Madison and Blake Sebastian. Charli is an undercover FBI agent that is getting ready to leave on vacation when she ends up involved in a protection detail of a young girl that witnesses a crime. In comes Blake, also a law enforcement officer that will assist her during the protection order. Blake reeks of Alpha male all over, he is a ladies man and seems to be getting Charli’s attention but not in a good way. They need to set aside the tension between them to make sure the killer does not succeed in getting to the protected witness. While protecting the young witness, will Blake be able to get into Charli’s heart? Will they both succeed in catching the killer on the loose? This story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. Both main characters had so much tension and chemistry that is was bouncing of the walls. I highly recommend this story and look forward to reading the other books from this series.
Special Agent Charli is the sixth book in the Undercover FBI series by Mimi Barbour. I have read a few of her books now and she never fails to deliver a wonderful story that captivates me right from the beginning. I particularly loved this book, not just because the story was superbly written, full of intrigue, mystery, suspense, romance, sizzle, and some drama. But because the characters were just so incredibly endearing (well, except for the killer)- these characters really are the jewels in this story- they were so lovingly crafted into fully realised individuals with their own personalities, quirks and flaws. I was immediately invested in them and this fantastic story. I was so hooked, that I devoured the whole thing in one sitting. I could feel that the author put a lot of her heart and soul into this story and I feel the love she has for her own Poppa John, he is one of the best characters I have read. I just loved him, and even though he is a ‘supporting’ character, he really added something special to the overall storyline. Because of him, the story was sweeter, more emotional, tender and touching than it would have been without him. Don’t get me wrong, Charli, Blake, Alicia/Kayla, Angie, Star, and the rest of the cast are brilliant, and I loved them all- but Poppa John just elevated the whole story for me! There is a wonderful ‘feel good quality to the storyline because of him and the characters and their connection…. There were quite a few funny, lighter moments that helped to balance some of the more intense, heart wrenching and dramatic elements of the storyline. The funny quips and banter had me smiling like an idiot or laughing out loud. The story is told from several perspectives, which helps to give a more in-depth view of the whole thing. This isn’t my first book of Ms. Barbour’s, but it is definitely my favourite, so far! I am really looking forward to the next book!

What a brilliant read! Fast paced, full of action –I could not put it down. This is also my first read by this author and what an introduction it was! I can’t wait to go and read the rest of the books in this series! The characters in the story were outstanding – I loved everything about them. Charli and Blake were great to read about. Charli was sassy and Blake is one of those characters you love to hate! But as much as loved them Poppa John was just it for me! I adored him!! By far one of my favourite characters! I am really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future!
Mimi Barbour’s Special Agent Charli is the sixth book in the Undercover FBI series. This is the first book that I have read within this suspense series and it was a page-turner. The story immediately dives in and captures your full focus. The author does a firm job of detailing the characters from their personalities, traits and distinct characteristics. Charli is a take charge woman on the verge of something and her world does a 180 degree turn taking her out of her comfort zone and placing her on a path she’s unsure she can handle or control. Adding Blake into the dynamic, all bets are off as personalities clash, emotions flair and chemistry leaks loose. This story fully engulfed me as I read through the chapters – one of those novels that just won’t let go until you finish.
