Even though there were books that came before these (The Hawthorne Chronicles) I felt like I could understand everthing that was going on. Exhilarating storylines and amazing characters. I’m definitely going to be reading more by this author and plan to read the books before these so I can re-go over these books.

Once I started I couldn’t stop! I didn’t want it to end! The Thunderbird Academy Trilogy box set is a great YA reading. YA is definitely my guilty pleasure. On top of that, throw in a supernatural element and I can’t resist checking it out.
Speaking of supernatural elements, they are at war. Not against each other but the same enemy The Ancients.
We meet Madison Hawthorne at the beginning of book 1. Everyone knows who she is. It’s not just the family name that gives her away. Her sisters and herself performed a protection spell over their town to protect the people from The Ancients. Her father was also taken. There’s also an array of friends we meet at the beginning. The focus though is on Aiden. A wolf-shifter alpha that seems to want to make Maddie’s life miserable or does he.
Book 2 in a new realm, thanks to Maddie’s story spell casting that moves the whole school away from an attack and right into the spring court of the Feary Realm. Maddie is the request of the Queen to not have to punish the rest of the school. While fighting her feelings for Aiden and trying to figure a way back to the human world Maddie is at loss. There’s a mysterious plague that takes out Fae as well as the other supernatural beings at the school.
Book 3
What can we do to help out friends? More people are sick and there’s no elixir, or is there? Are Maddie and Aiden Soulmates? Do they win the war? Does she find her father? Being this is the conclusion I’m not going to give much.
What I will say is the character growth during all the books for Maddie was phenomenal! Even Aiden’s character growth was noticeably fantastic. This is my first time reading this author. And I dare say it won’t be my last!

Valia Lind has created a world in this trilogy that I absolutely loved getting lost in. Magic, shifters, fae, and so much more interesting beings are to be found within this boxset. This was the first story by this author that I’ve read and I’ll definitely be scouring the shelves for more! The character development was fast paced but not rushed, it was majorly enjoyable. I don’t normally pick YA, something about the description called to me like a siren song and I’m so glad I listened. For fans of Laurell K. Hamilton and The Wizarding World Universe, the world of the Hawthornes is quite comfy to settle down into.

This trilogy boxset had me laughing and crying all throughout the books. So much so that I had to stop reading it while at my daughter’s dentist appointment because people were staring at me. This set pulls you in and keeps you engulfed in action throughout the whole trilogy.

Maddie Hawthorne is from a very prestigious witch family and is starting to get annoyed by the looks she receives at school for doing a small part in protecting her town from the ancients. Little does she know that this school year will be nothing even remotely normal as her abilities will be tested and new abilities uncovered. Aiden on the other hand is a wolf shifter and automatically at odds with Maddie. Something is pulling them together even though his future is already laid out due to familial obligations. As they are continuously thrown together there is an unmistakable force that intertwines their futures together. Can they move past their own feelings and obligations to see what the future holds for them? Also how does Maddie’s new talents play in with the ancients awakening and attacking the school? Can she harness her new abilities to save everyone she cares for or will she be a pawn in the Ancients’ plan to rule?

This was definitely a five star trilogy set that I managed to read in one full day. It was too good to put down. If you like enemies to lovers books filled with different magical beings and lots of action then this book series is for you!

All three books in one box set, means I didn’t have to wait to read books two and three. This was a very enjoyable read. Maddie, is starting her second year at Thunderbird Academy. There are many new kids at school this year due to the Ancients threatening their world again; her father is missing; and there is very little to no contact with home. Aiden is a shifter who is thrown into being Maddie’s defense trainer. The chemistry between these two is smoking hot: the shared looks, the taunting, the energy. Can Aiden and Maddie become more and learn from each other?
There were small glimpses into the events that happened before this series started. I was happy to find that there are books before this. I can’t wait to get my hands on them to learn where this story really started.

The Thunderbird Academy Trilogy Box Set by Valia Lind

This is the first Series I’ve read by the author. I really look forward to more by the author. The Thunderbird Academy Box Set is a must-read.

Maddie is a witch and a powerful one at that. Her second year at Thunderbird isn’t going like she would’ve liked. Now she doesn’t have her bff and she’s starting to crush on a boy. The quote I chose for Maddie is: “Don’t call me that. In case you haven’t noticed, there are people waiting. I don’t know what kind of manner-less hole you crawled out of, but it’s polite to let people in line be the first ones to get the food they’ve been waiting for.”

Aiden is a wolf shifter and he’s the next Alpha of his Pack. When he meets Maddie he has to tease her and not give in to what he wants. He’s not exactly looking for a relationship with her. The quote I chose for Aiden is: “That’s the thing, I didn’t see what was chasing us. It was more like my shifter senses picked up on the being that was there, the danger it was broadcasting, but I couldn’t find it. Even with my eyesight.”

Highly recommended for Witch Romance lovers.

This is a really exciting boxset to read. If you love magic, danger, and shifters then this is definately a good read. The author does an amazing job of making the characters relatable such as Maddie. Even though she is a witch from a very powerful family we are shown that she is also just a normal teenage girl with teenage problems.
There are reference to other books before this one however I was still able to really enjoy and follow the story without reading the previous books. I also loved the fact that I didn’t have to wait to read the next book which meant I could keep the enjoyment going. Once you start reading the author has you gripped until the end.

Maddie is a witch. She goes to a paranormal school where everyone is supposed to be safe from the Ancient magic that is threatening them. However that isn’t the case.
All Maddie wants is to be a normal girl, well as normal as she can be. She doesn’t want the attention she gets from being part of a powerful family. She doesn’t even consider herself a powerful witch especially since her magic isn’t firing properly.
Add to all this confusion the fact that her headmaster is looking to her to protect the school and pairing her with a wolf shifter who she has feelings for that she can’t work out and it is a dangerous mixture.
However when Maddie and Aiden are paired together can they put their differences aside?
Add to mixed feelings, normal girl issues such as homework and friendship as well as her missing father and Maddie has struggles that will challenge her every step of the way.

Brilliant trilogy
The Thunderbird Academy is a trilogy not to be missed. It has everything -action, paranormal, magic, shifters and romance all in an academy setting. Maddie is an awesome and strong MC and the teenage angst with Aiden was not overdone. The storyline moves at a great pace and doesn’t get caught up on trivial issues. The flow between the 3 books is flawless and even though I had not read the Hawthorne Chronicles (which this series follows on from) I felt there were enough references that I didn’t feel lost. It would give a better understanding of Maddie’s background though and the events that happened there. The story develops wonderfully across each book of the trilogy and the author’s execution of the characters and world building is to be commended. I was excited when I came across this box set and devoured it immediately. So, if you love paranormal action with romance in an academy setting and having the whole series at your fingertips this one is for you.

I always love enjoy a good academy series. I know you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but shhhh because I always do. The covers for each of these books are absolutely gorgeous. Maddie Hawthorne is a powerful with from a legacy family. Aiden is a wolf shifter, together their dynamic is so perfect. These books are very well written, the details are flawless. I just love everything about these books.

When I first laid eyes on the cover of this trilogy box set I knew that I had to read it. Once I started this trilogy I simply couldn’t put it down. The characters are absolutely amazing, the plot was original and fascinating, and I loved the idea of having all three books at my finger tips one right after another. While I have never read anything by this author it will certainly not be my last time. So if your looking for a great new trilogy with fantastic characters make sure you pick this one up today.

The Thunderbird Acadamy trilogy picks up after the Hawthorne Chronicles. While, there are many references to past events, and things would make more sense if the other 4 books were read, I fared well jumping directly into this trilogy.
Maddie Hawthorne comes from a powerfully prestigious family and already feels the pressure of her legacy as the world is threatened by a very old and powerful source known as The Ancients. Thunderbird Academy is the safest place for her to complete her second year of highschool and one of the best places find research to find a way to stop The Ancients and find her missing father.
Aiden Lawson is an alpha werewolf attending Thunderbird Academy and appears to hate Maddie for no reason known to her. Her understanding of his feelings as well as her own become more confusing when they’re paired up as sparring partners and his touch on her skin makes her feel things she’s never experienced before. Between The Ancients, homework, her missing father and boy problems – Maddie struggles to find her way and herself.
This box set read like 1 big book and I really enjoyed it. The cliff hanger endings would have definitely made me restless and I cannot deny that I like big books. I had a really fun time with this read and am very interested in getting to know the Hawthornes a little better by reading the first trilogy.

I was completely drawn in by this story even before I read the first page. The author did an amazing job of capturing my attention with the blurb and then did an even better job of keeping that attention throughout these 3 fantastic books. The story was so well thought out and developed. It was exciting to read but also had more detail than you would usually see in a YA novel.
I loved the characters in this book too. I thought they were really easy to connect with and their story was complete believable. I loved to see how it progressed across the series and how they evolved.
This really is a great series that is a must for any fan of this genre.

Magic, and Werewolves, and evil oh my! This trilogy was fun to read! although I was a little lost about a few things that happened in the past, I was able to get through with no problem! Now that I know it takes place after The Hawthorne Trilogy, I will be going back and reading that one too! The tension between Aiden and Maddie is so palpable you can cut through with it like a knife! Aiden hates Maddie with a fiery passion for unknown reasons to her. While dealing with Aiden’s hatred, she has to deal her magic not working properly!! My heart went out to this girl who has the weight of the world on her shoulders. The writing and pacing was done beautifully I couldn’t put it down! I cant wait to read more by this author!

Maddie Hawthorne, teenage witch, has a life which is far from dull. At just 15 years old, she fought a battle against the ancients with her older sisters, binding their collective magic to save her town from certain ruin. Now, in year two at Thunderbird Academy, she has to navigate not only her newfound infamy, but doing so without her bestie, and oh yeah, the Ancients are back to threaten their world again. Thus, the trilogy begins, and it is quite the ride. Heart-pounding action and lots of supernatural powers at work in this awesome collection of books. I loved the authour’s voice in these books, they have a way of gripping your attention immediately and not letting go until you’ve completed the set. High drama, epic battles, and even a romance in there, with a devilishly handsome hero. Definitely, happily, recommend.

The Thunderbird Academy Trilogy Boxset contains all three books in The Thunderbird Academy Trilogy by Valia Lind. As soon as I laid eyes on the cover of this box set, I knew I needed to read it. It promised all the ingredients I LOVE to find in a story- and to have all three books in one great package was the icing on the cake for me. So even though I had not read anything by this author before, I happily grabbed a copy and jumped right in- excited by what I might find.
What I found inside the intriguing cover was a superb YA fantasy, full of imaginative and clever paranormal touches, magic, witches, shifters, supernatural elements, adventure, action, angst, danger, friendship, family, romance (enemies to lovers), good vs evil, high stakes, agendas, betrayal, and so much more. I was hooked right from the beginning and ended up reading the entire trilogy in one sitting. #sleepissooverrated
I really enjoyed my introduction to M. Lind’s work and am so excited to see she has plenty of other books for me to explore. I am so happy her book popped up on my recommended book feed, otherwise I may not have discovered her books till much later, or at all.
There is one thing that I will mention though, and that is that this trilogy is set in a ‘world’ that has already had other series/stories released from it. From what I understand is that The Thunderbird Academy follows on from the Hawthorne Chronicles, and as such, there are many references to the events that occurred there, which did make me wish I had read the Hawthorne Chronicles before diving into The Thunderbird Academy, because I really think if I knew what happened previously I would have better understood and appreciated this trilogy. Don’t get me wrong, this trilogy could be read and enjoyed as a standalone- but having so many references to past events made me feel like maybe I was missing important backstory and information.
A fun read nonetheless!
Looking forward to exploring more of Ms. Lind’s work.
Happy reading!

Thank you, Valia Lind!

I started this one and was hooked by the characters right away! Maddie is a typical teenage girl except she is a witch with magical powers and attends a magical school. She helped her sisters battle evil over the summer and doesn’t like all the stares in the halls. Aiden is a hunky teenage boy who is also a wolf shifter. He is new to the school and there is tension right away. Maddie and Aiden become sparring partners as they learn combat training and it is fun to watch them deal with all their feelings. The world building is really well done and described in detail: the school grounds, the Spring Court in the land of Fae, and all the travels through the forest. Maddie and Aiden are fighting each other and the dark forces around them. They are surrounded by really great friends who are constantly trying to help them understand their feelings and how to figure out the conflicts. I got hooked and finished the entire trilogy in just a few sittings because I couldn’t put it down and had to know what was going to happen next! This is a YA paranormal romance and I loved that it was clean and definitely could be enjoyed by all levels of readers.

I really enjoyed this trilogy! I am always happy when I start reading a series of books where I can already have my hands on all 3 books. I read this on my kindle as one big book and got caught up in the story. It had a mix of paranormal romance, magic, suspense, and action. The author did a great job creating the world and the characters were really well developed. By the time I was finishing the first part, I was invested in both the story and the characters. I had no problem reading this as a standalone series, but I know that she has written more books that I look forward to reading that are connected to this world.

A YA PNR box set that all supernatural lovers of all ages should be added to your TBA list. It is full of romance and magic and faeries, witches, and shifters, plus a whole slew of supernatural beings, suspense and action, betrayal, and adventure. A highly entertaining read with enemies to lovers. The world building is exciting and enticing, and the characters we get to see grow and develop and go on adventures with. The plot has even more twists and turns as Maddie tries to stop evil, work on her magic and meet others’ expectations.
Maddie is trying to learn her powers, that is when they have not stopped working but it seems anything that could go wrong does go wrong. But not only those expectations for and of her are not what they should be.
Beware the Ancients have arisen once again and are set on taking back the world.

I could not get enough of this series. I loved it. It had a good story concept and characters that really delivered. This box set was impossible not to devour. I am so happy I got to enjoy iy. It was one I could not put down and would say everyone would find something they liked about it.

For me I loved the aspect of the use of fantasy and magic used within this series. The characters were really connectable and brought everything to life. I loved how each book it developed into something full of wonder. I love fantasy to begin with, but really loved the writing style of this one as well. The characters each had their own personality and I loved that. I found in the end they all really connected in one way or another with one another. Really had fun reading this one box set!

Wonderful series and creative author! I can not get enough of the story and world the author has created. I highly recommend this box set as well as the author! Well worth a read! Loved it!

This was a very entertaining box set. Fans of Harry Potter will enjoy this set. The battle against evil will always be fought. She feels a little lost. Her best friends are in hiding. She’s losing her magic. The Ancients are at the outer areas of the school. Once you start the first the start the first book, you just don’t want to set it down. You are pulled right into to the new school year and all the challenges that come with it. (even the magic). The characters were awesome. The moody wolf shifter. The quiet roommate who knows who she is but respects it. The plot is very engaging. The story would keep a young adult into fantasy stories engaged through the whole series (even us older HP fans). I am going to highly recommend this to all fantasy lovers.
