I have loved every book that I have read by this author! Every 10 years a dead supernatural being is brought back from the dead and must take a mate. The only problem is they only have 3 days. Quinnlan is faced with the ultimate choice: bite a dying man and mark him as his mate to save his life but if he is rejected he goes back to purgatory. Excellent book!!!

This author never disappoints! This quick paranormal romance has a little of everything and I love that you get a back story and an epilogue! Quinnlan just wants to get a second chance at life but only three days to find a mate seems impossible to say the least. Garrett just wants to save his mom before its too late. Can a chance meeting save them both? Tensions rise and quick decisions have to be made. This is a great quick read!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An enjoyable and engaging MM paranormal romance, which had me hooked from start to finish.
The main character, vampire Quinnlan Trinity, has been chosen by the gods to have a second chance at life. This only happens every ten years and those from the paranormal world are only chosen if they had been unjustly killed. The only problem is they have to find and take a mate within three days, or they go back to paranormal purgatory, oh and the person they choose has to accept them! When Quinnlan finds himself at an abandoned motel in the middle of nowhere with only three days worth of clothes and a wad of cash, he wonders if the gods are playing a trick on him.
With two days left he comes across a guy bleeding out after a group of wolf shifters attacked him, Quinnlan wants to save his life but by doing so the guy would have to be his mate, and he then risks rejection. He could be dooming himself to a trip back to the afterlife, but can he walk away knowing that he could have saved him, and after all, he could actually be the one. The descriptive narrative really brought the characters and setting vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the story. The storyline flowed well and the plot twists kept me happily turning the pages. This was an original and intriguing story and I definitely recommend reading it.

Short and sweet. The story was fun for me, Garrett’s mom getting ready to marry the alpha from a wolf pack and his dad being dead, but was his dad really dead? The concept of Quinnlan getting a second chance by the Gods is interesting, I really wanted a longer story, especially with the romance with Garrett finally coming to fruition. I also liked the fact that Garrett wasn’t deterred really by Quinnlan’s confession about who he is because he already believes. So many great aspects to this story, it was so interesting I wanted more!

Happy Halloween my spooky friends and what a wonderful time to read this book! I’m pretty sure this is my first read by this author and I really felt captivated from beginning to end. I’m so excited to delve into other stories from this talented creator! This book really pulled me in and kept me interested until the end- the premise of only having 3 days to find your mate (plus all the other rules) in order to avoid purgatory is a really fun idea. I’m excited to read other works by this author to see what other twists and turns they could put me through because this book really was such fun. I loved the MCs. The cover was drool worthy on it’s own and is most of the reason I picked up this book! Loved it and I’m about to go read some more! Check it out y’all.

The Final Bite was good! A short paranormal romance. I actually didn’t realize I was almost done till I saw the bottom of the screen. It went really fast.
3 days. 3 days is all the gods will give to find a mate otherwise it’s banishment to purgatory. Dropped in the middle of nowhere Quinnlan has been left in a motel with 3 outfits to complete the task. A Vampire, that has been told he can use his powers of influence. Which makes things more difficult.
Of course I relate to Quinnlan because he’s selfless. Giving up his right to choose and his mate’s right to accept him, to save his life. He risks purgatory to save someone near death.
Garrett has just had a bomb dropped on him and doesn’t know how to handle it. Saved by a gorgeous vampire who wants him to be his mate.
What does he choose?
Does Quinnlan succeed in his task?
This story felt a bit rushed, however looking past that the concept though different worked.
If you enjoy paranormal short story mm romances, this book is for you.

“Remember what I said about the gods giving me a fighting chance? I take it back. This must be some new method of torture cooked up to break the monotony of their immortality. Let’s dangle a second chance in front of Quinnlan and then make it near impossible for him to obtain it. Wasn’t being murdered by my sister torture enough? Greedy b…..
Bah! There’s no use having a pity party. It won’t change the situation. I’m just going to have to play the hand the gods dealt me. Pulling myself together, I head back to the motel to strategize. There must be some way to find a mate here. I have to believe that, or I’ll end up wasting this opportunity drowning in bitterness and sorrow. ”

“We have an eternity to explore each other after we save the day.”

The Final Bite by Naomi Valkyrie is a fantastic paranormal MM romance. Another feather in Ms. Valkyries cap. She has such a vivid and abundant imagination, which she uses to weave wonderfully dynamic stories, bringing us something new, each and every time. She seems to have a limitless well of imagination and inspiration just waiting for her to release into the world for us to enjoy. Ms. Valkyrie never ceases to amaze me with her highly original storylines that all manage to have their own identity, but also capture her unique touches that add a special quality to all her work.
This is another cleverly woven paranormal MM romance, with second chances, vampires, wolf shifters, action, mysteriousness, agendas, chemistry, family, hope, murder, a sinister foe, emotion, humour, fun, banter, and even a haunted house. The story is set on Halloween, which adds an element of mysteriousness to the story.
“Every ten years, the gods choose a paranormal being who has been unjustly killed and offers them a second chance at life. But this second chance comes with a catch, as set out by the rules imposed by the Gods.
1. You have 3 days to choose a mate.
2. You cannot use your powers to directly influence your potential mate.
3.You can only choose one person….If the potential mate rejects you then you go back to purgatory.
4. You must reveal the truth of the challenge to your potential mate.”
Easy peasy, right? Well not really when you are ‘dropped off’ in the middle of nowhere with the clock ticking on your second chance. No one wants to be flung back into purgatory…. Will Quinnlan find his mate in time? Or will circumstances force Quinn to put his second chance at risk? This is definitely worth the read to find out how it all plays out in the end…
I can’t wait to see what Ms. Valkyrie has in store for us next…
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Naomi Valkyrie!

I am a sucker for a great vampire book and when I noticed that this one came out, I immediately had to add this to my list of books to read. I was FLOORED at the way the authors wrote and the story that was unfolding for the main character. The premise of this book was not one that I had not heard of in other stories, and I was very interested. I devoured this book super quick and was excited and loved this book. It is getting added to my list of books that I will go back and reread when I cannot find another book that I want to start. I cannot wait to read more books by this author!

I was so excited when I saw Naomi had a new book out and couldn’t wait to get started. The Final Bite is a paranormal fantasy romance story. Her stories just keep getting better and better and like I say with each book this is my favourite so far.

Naomi’s is a talented writer where her word skills, along with her wonderful characters that she brings to life are original and delightful. Her attention to details and world building is richly vivid and easily imagined. I love that you never know what you are going to get from Naomi and her out of the norm storytelling.

I read this in one sitting as it was so good and I just could not put it down. I can’t wait to see where Naomi takes us next.

If you love good out of the norm paranormal romances then definitely check this out.

Every ten years, the gods choose a paranormal being who has been unjustly killed and offers them a second chance at life. The catch? They must take a mate, and they only have three days to do it.

Oh, and they can only choose once. If the person they choose for a mate rejects them – it’s straight back to paranormal purgatory.

Fortunately for me, I, Quinnlan Trinity, am the chosen one.

Unfortunately for me, the trickster gods must have gotten into the mix because they drop me at an abandoned motel in the middle of nowheresville with three days’ worth of clothing, sans underwear, and a wad of cash. Seriously?

I’ve got two days left when I find a guy bleeding out, thanks to a suspicious group of wolf shifters. I could save him, but if I do, that means choosing him as my mate and risking rejection. Is he the one? Or, by saving him, am I dooming myself to a trip back to the afterlife?

The is the 3rd installment of the Dark Vampire series and, as always, I recommend reading them in order to get the full backstory.
Master Trentino has fallen for a human medium and must turn her in order to save her. I love that even after they’ve paired, they still take their time getting to know one another so it’s not just they fell in love and that’s it. That’s what I love about Sylvia Black…her novels are fast-paced, but she doesn’t rush. And that’s a hard feat to accomplish. Again, her character development is superb and her plots lines are amazing. I can’t wait to continue reading this series!

This is the 1st installment of the Dark Vampires series and I am here for it! I love how action-packed and fast-paced the novel is and Sylvia Black’s character development is phenomenal.
Overmaster Salvatore Descallia is a force to be reckoned with, but Officer Lucianna Denaro brings him to his knees in the most delicious way ever. I love her spunky attitude and how she completely gives into her situation without letting it defeat her. The whole story is so fast-paced but Black doesn’t miss anything. Lucianna doesn’t lose herself when she is forced to turn (due to circumstances beyond her control) and she continues on her quest that brought her to Salvatore. The chemistry between them is undeniable and when they finally give in, sparks fly.

This is the 2nd book in the Dark Vampire series and it can be read as a standalone, but (as always) I recommend reading the series in order. This is the story of Christian and Delilah and to really understand this story, you must read the 1st book.
Once again, Sylvia Black kills it with her character development and her plot lines. I just love how she hooks the readers in with her no nonsense and fast-paced plots. And I adore how much effort she puts into her characters. She makes you invested in them.
Christian is one tough, stubborn vampire and he will do whatever it takes to avenge the love of his life, Delilah. Even though I did find Delilah annoying at times, the love she has for Christian is redeeming. This wasn’t my favorite of the series, but definitely worth the read (for Christian if nothing else ;)).

This is the 4th book in the Dark Vampires series. While it can be read as a standalone, I definitely recommend reading the others to really understand the storyline and basis behind the novel.
I love the character of Romano. Sylvia Black has made him out to be a burly “beast” but underneath it all he is sweet, lovable, and understanding. He is also fiercely protective, loyal, and a formidable leader. I also love Raven’s character as she is extremely complimentary to Romano. She is bright and sassy and energetic. And while she was raised to be afraid of Romano, she isn’t. I love the push and pull of their relationship.
Black does a fantastic job of writing fast-paced stories that hold the reader’s attention. Her plot lines are amazing and her spice level is *chef’s kiss*. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series.

Master Romano (Masters of the Consulate Book 4) by Sylvia Black

Master Romano is the fourth book in the Masters of the Consulate Series by Sylvia Black. This is a wonderfully written Paranormal/Vampires/Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I was pulled in from the beginning and found myself lost in the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I highly recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already as they are just as good as this one and you get to know the characters better and what’s been going on up to this book. Master Romano has one very important task to do and that’s to try and settle the century old fued involving land between the vampires and witches. What he didn’t consider was how hard that task was actually going to be. All was going well until he meets a very sassy yet nosy witch. Holy Cow the sizzle between these two is off the charts. But when word gets out Romano is ordered to end her life to show his loyalty. I don’t want to give anything away .i highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Master Romano is a member of the Vampire Consulate and has been for centuries, he is cool headed and calm and a well respected member, however with recent events he has been sent in a mission to try and stop the ongoing feud between the vampires and the witches. Raven is a young witch in training, but she has always felt trapped between two worlds and not having many powers, she feels like she is wasting her time learning all this witchcraft and is just waiting for her time there to be finished so she can go back to her life.

As Master Romano is heading back to his home in Romania, he checks the security footage and sees someone creeping round his garden, the don’t move, just watch, so before the sun comes up, he goes to investigate. Raven has an itch to see what a vampire is like, are they as bad as the other witches say they are? She is insatiably curious and so decides to go and stake out the proverbial vampire next door, however, when he catches her in the act, she runs away.

As time passes, neither Raven or Master Romano can keep their minds off of the other and seem to find reasons to run into each other, but as the tensions between the witches and vampires escalate, Raven lands right in the middle of it and ends up having to trust Master Romano to help her, but when she is suspected as a spy, will Master Romano be able to take her life, or will the undeniably strong feelings between this witch and this vampire hold true?

This is a paranormal romance with a streak of forbidden love and steamy scenes of an adult nature with a good dollop of action in between, it is a fantastic continuation and one which you will not want to put down.

Master Romano: Dark Vampire Romance is a vampire romance – the 4th book in the author’s series. Master Romano is a vampire who is the “leader” of vampires in the Romania area. He is said to be a “dark-souled beast”. He is under investigation by the head Master of Vampires because they have come to find out that a loyal confidant has gone rogue and they need to understand if Romano is behind it. Romano has stated that he is innocent in all of this, but will help find out what is going on because he is being set up. When arriving home, he encounters a witch named Raven, and witches and vampires have been long- time enemies. However, Raven (even though slightly scared due to the legends of the vampires) and Romano (even though states to not trust witches) feels something different, an energy, a connection that neither understands. However, not growing up in the witch world, Raven tends to be creative, defiant, and curiosity always gets the better of her. Their first meeting is very short since Raven transports herself out of danger, however they meet again at a local bar that both tend to be patroning. The “come get me eyes” are being projected by both of them, but are cut off when her aunt and sister enter the bar to take her back to their haven. In the midst of this event, other vampire and vampire confidants come in and grab the 3 witches. Romano has a bad feeling about this and ends up saving Raven even though it went against his better judgment. This encounter starts an alliance between the two and a budding romance. Can the two of them work together well enough, trust each other enough, to save her family and his reputation in the vampire world?
I have read the entire series thus far and I love this vampire romance. Romano was a great character. Even though he is stated to be an evil beast, I found him to be burly, but with a sweet, loving, and understanding side to him, as well. He is portrayed as a leader, smart, cunning, protective, but also cautious, at the same time. Raven was also a great compliment to his burliness. She is spunky, smart, witty, playful, and comically could stand up to Romano. I loved their dynamic when it came to the romantic part of their relationship. I am not a “let it build up” type of book lover, so when they just let all their feelings out almost upfront at the beginning, I was there for that. This was a quick read, action filled, a twisty plot, with great characters. I am excited for the last book in the series to come out!

Master RomanoMaster Romano by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Romano finds himself on the “questionable loyalty” list with the Consulate of vampires. Tasked with finding where the traitor has escaped to and dealing with the local witches in his territory, he finds himself intrigued with Raven- the niece of their biggest witch rival. When Raven’s sister and aunt are taken from the local bar and Romano sees Raven being drugged and dragged off too, he steps in and saves her. Once she recovers, they work together to find the last of her family. However, the distrust runs deep with her aunt and instead of being grateful, she becomes even more hostile. As things heat up, the traitor’s location becomes known, and in capturing the traitor, Raven is painted as the instigator. Romano has to scramble to clear her name before his boss calls for her death. Will they be able to clear her name? Can they find a way to bridge the gap between the witch and vampire community before all is lost? Or are they always destined to be enemies?

I like that the author veered away from the female being cut down and having to be changed to save her life. Raven is a young witch that just wants to have fun and is thrust into her power rather quickly. I liked that she is equal to Romano in power and surprises him with some of her tricks, too. This book ended in a big cliffhanger, and I am anxiously awaiting the last installment to tie all the things together!

Master Trentino (Masters of the Consulate Book 3) by Sylvia Black – Review by Desiree Ottinger

Master TrentinoMaster Trentino by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Trentino is instantly intrigued by Angel from their very first encounter; despite meeting her by
breaking and entering into her house… When he returns to find out more about her, he stumbles upon her family being slaughtered. As she lies dying in his arms, her brother- who happens to be one of his mortal enemies- gives Trentino permission to do anything that could save her life; even though they have been raised to hate and fear vampires. When Angel wakes up “changed”, she struggles to make sense of what exactly happened, and how to reconcile all that she’s been taught about vampires. She’s pleasantly surprised that her previous ability to communicate with the dead has greatly increased. With the vampires in the middle of ferreting out a traitor in their midst, she finds her new abilities tested and pushed to the extreme. Can she come to terms with her new life in time to help Trentino find the traitor? Can she protect her heart from someone she was raised to fear?

I found this to be a different twist on how the previous books transitioned their ladies. I liked that Angel had to struggle a bit before she could come to terms with her family’s position on vampires and her brother knowingly giving permission for her to be changed. The depth of love for another was well written. The overall plot of the series is moving forward quickly. I was definitely surprised by who the traitor ends up being. I did NOT see it coming.
