This book hit my sweet tooth just right. That includes both the romance and the delicious sounding treats. The humour was also well done. I got some looks for laughing out loud at some of the scenes. Lara and Graham’s story was a delicious one!

3.75/5 stars This book gave me the hallmark romance fix I needed! It’s a very cute, romance read that is written in a unique way. I loved Graham’s character and his interactions within the book matched him very well. I didn’t really enjoy Lara and couldn’t really connect with her. I think the reason for her being in Cupid’s Cove was a legit reason, I just don’t think the weight of how her mental health was impacted was written in a way that conveyed authentically what she was experiencing.

My Valentine’s Day Cookie Match is part of the Welcome to Cupid’s Cove series. The series is set in Cupid’s Cove, written by different authors. I grabbed this one because I have read many books from this author, and they never disappoint. Graham is new to town and has a great dating app connected to a bakery. Lara works in her mother’s bakery and does not like the new competition. This is a sweet romance that I read quickly and left me in a great mood. I liked the characters and their will they/won’t they story. I look forward to reading more from this author soon.

Graham is quitting his city job to move Cupid’s cove and launch his new matchmaking app and coffee shop. He is banking on people making it popular in their quest to find love. Lara runs a bakery with her mother in Cupid’s Cove. After her recent breakup, the bakery is all she has to keep her sane. That is, until the mayor (who happens to be Lara’s father) approves a new coffee shop to open up in town.
However, when Graham’s business opens up, Lara finds herself spending more and more time with Graham and their chemistry and banter is there in spades! But, as it is with small towns, his ex comes through town and stirs up some drama and families meddle under the guise of doing what’s best. Can these two make it work despite being rivals (and the age gap)?
The story was a cute small-town rivalry story. It was a quick read and a quick-paced story. Using the radio intros was something I enjoyed reading…and the recipes sprinkled within the pages sound yummy!

This is a great, heart-warming contemporary romance that I devoured in a few hours. It’s a feelgood romance that was great to read after having read a heavy, dark romance before it. I enjoy both types but this was just what the doctor ordered at the time. Marketing specialist Graham has decided on a career move, opening a cookie shop with the added bonus of having a dating app based on your purchases. Very apt in a town called Cupid’s Cove. What he doesn’t expect is Lara, the mayor’s daughter, whose family own the local bakery. Intent on hating Graham for proving competition, she’s surprised by how much the two of them click. As always, true love never run’s smoothly and Graham and Lara’s love is put to a very big test to prove just how true it is. This is a great read, which I really enjoyed and would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you are looking for a quick, heart-warming read to lose yourself in for a few hours.

This is such a great book. It was so much fun to read. I loved the radio personalities sprinkled throughout the book. Lara is a small town girl who just wants to take a break and figure everything out. That is until a new coffee shop comes to town. Now she needs to make sure that her family’s bakery survives the competition. Then she meets the competition. Graham is the owner of the new coffee shop. Graham and Lara’s attraction are obvious, but there are obstacles in their way. Can they make it through? If all that wasn’t enough there are the most wonderful sounding recipes that you can make.

Squeal! What a treat! This book has characters who reluctantly fall in love, and are willing to do what is best for one another. We see family members looking out for one another, without being intrusive. We glimpse the tourism industry from the perspective of a small town. We also have characters in the periphery of the story, who have a story of their own unfold throughout the tale

I LOVED THIS BOOK! What a fun, sweet romantic story the author has written about a bakery owner that finds love when she least expects it. The author did such a great job, as she usually does, with the chemistry between the characters. This was a quick read, but I didn’t want to put it down. Also, might I mention that there are recipes included for different baked goods? Yeah, and I tried one of them last night for the macadamia nut cookies. They are delicious. And they are all gone. I can’t wait to try the others. If you like heart-felt romances then please pick up this book. You won’t be disappointed.

This book is a very cute, romance novel. Set in the Idyllic town of Cupid’s Cove where the residents thrive off all things love. The characters are pretty typical with a new spin on finding love.
Graham is a successful marketing executive just looking for a change of pace and new way of life. Deciding to open his own business which is a coffee shop/bakery, and launching a new app that offers users the option to get paired based on their taste buds. Essentially what they order, and it seems everyone is not only fond of this new dating idea through Cookie Match but Graham is now the most eligible bachelor in Cupid’s Cove. Enter Lara , who is not only the mayor’s daughter but also runs the only other bakery in town. When their paths cross, sparks ignite, but there is one big secret Lara is keeping from Graham. When the secrets are exposed and the two have to deal with figures from their past will this make or break what they have started? Is a match truly in the cards for Lara and Graham or will the mayor veto it all?
This book has an interesting plot, though it can get a little confusing bouncing back and forth between the radio hosts and the recipes that are thrown into this book. I however, am excited to give the recipes a whirl to not only see if they are legit but how they taste. I will read the other books in the series if only to see what happens in Cupid’s Cove, a charming little town I almost want to live in!

This is only the second book I’ve read by C. A. King and the same quick, easy read as before. My Valentine’s Day Cookie Match is a witty, sweet, romantic story about two very different, but wildly similar individuals who find love in the most unexpected way. Lara is the daughter of a local bakery owner in small town Cupid’s Cove; Graham is the owner of the newest bakery in town (rival of Lara’s bakery) and the inventor of the new dating app that connects with the bakery. Sparks fly between the two and awkward encounters follow. I couldn’t put this book down. If you’re looking for lovable characters, a fun holiday themed town, and a wonderfully quick romantic read, then My Valentine’s Day Cookie Match is the book for you!

A Flavoursome five-star read. This was such a sweet and romantic read, there was a little of everything in this story, a little sweet, a pinch of sour and a dash of drama, it’s a quick and short read that packs a delicious punch. I enjoyed the rivalry, I enjoyed it all, there was just something about this one that captivated me and made it so I couldn’t put it down, so it’s a good thing its only short as I really didn’t have the time for a full story but couldn’t put this down, it’s a great welcome to Cupid Cove.

I loved how this novel was set up. With the radio station and the recipes after Every few chapters. This book screamed hallmark movie and I am here for it. I hope it does become a movie. It’s so cute. Graham’s determination to open his bakery despite the backlash from his (ex)girlfriend and the uncertainty of the reception he’d receive in his childhood town, is special. I thought the premise of his bakery was cute too. Cookies and matches. This is actually the first book I’ve read of the Cupid’s cove series and now I’m gonna read them all. I love lighthearted, feel good romance novels.

This is such a sweet romance. Graham and Lara are absolutely adorable together! The town of Cupid’s Cove sounds like the perfect Hallmark movie small town. I was drawn right into this book from the very first page and the cookie recipes that are sprinkled throughout the book made me love it even more! A bakery and a special app bring Graham and Lara together. They start out as rivals but quickly find themselves drawn to each other. Lara is the daughter of the Mayor though so that by itself is an obstacle that they have to overcome, along with a few more that pop up along the way. This is a really unique romance that you won’t want to miss and I am so excited to read more from this series.

Short and sweet are the words I would use to describe this book! It was light and definitely what I wanted to take my mind off the heavy. The main characters in the book are called Graham and Lara. They are great main characters and I liked watching their story unfold and all the messes they got into in their bakeries. Sparks flew between the two and so did the flour! I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future!! Happy Reading!

Graham is ready for a change of pace. He decides to move and open a bakery. Where better could he use the gimmick of a dating app partnered with his bakery than a town named Cupid’s Cove. When Lara finds out about the family bakery’s new competition she does not understand how her father, the mayor, allowed this to happen. When Lara finds herself at Graham’s bakery unwanted sparks fly. Will only one bakery survive? Can they learn to co-exist? Will Lara and Graham act on their feelings?
I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. It was well written, had dynamic characters, and the scene was well set. It really was a quick light hearted read. While this was the first time I had read King, I will definitely be reading her previous books while waiting for the next in this series. My Valentine’s Day Cookie Match was worth the read.

King – Review by Sarah King
This is the first book I have read by this author and I am not at all disappointed. I look forward to reading more in the future. Lara and Graham are rival bakery owners but his has a twist. This story is based in a small town and it is a town that has romance and all things love abounding day in and day out. This is a quick and well paced story. You will definitely be turning the pages to see what all the love is about in Cupids Cove. KLH

King – Review by Kelli Harper
This was a cute romantic quick read. This story takes place in a small town called Cupids Cove. This story had me laughing and enjoying all the sweet moments. There are some great characters in this book. The chemistry between the two main characters was jumping off the page. I have read other books by this author and I am never disappointed. Graham has just left his corporate job to start his new business in this small town. Lara finds out there is competition with her family bakery and she is unhappy about the situation. What will come of their attraction? Can they get past the fact that they are in competition? Did I mention that Lara is the Mayor’s daughter. There was some great banter between characters in this book. This is a good read and it’s my suggestion that you don’t miss out.
