I truly enjoyed this imaginative story as we follow Isaac on his captivating adventures. When we find ourselves drudging our way through the everyday mundane, life will unexpectedly surprise us. Isaac finds this out first hand when he is dragged into his favorite childhood story. He finds himself on a series of adventures with danger and excitement around every corner.
Reading this book was a much need splash of color and adventure to help me get through my own “everyday mundane”.

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore is a fantastic fantasy novel that gives you everything you expect in a fantasy novel. You have pirates, magical creatures, far away lands, and battles. You meet a lot of characters a long the way and I will have to say that Nothe really stole the show for me on this one. It was wrapped up nicely but boy do I wish there were some novellas with additional adventures for each of the characters.

This is the first book I’ve read from this author and her writing style surprised me. I love a good fantasy story but this author exceeded all my expectations. She wrote so much detail into this story it felt like I was the one in the story. I was so addicted to this book it only took me a few hours to devour this epic story. I’m so excited to see what she will write about next.
Isaac loves being a sailor. He loves what he does but he also loves his daily meal. Isaac doesn’t believe in fairytales but when a cute little fairy comes to him he can’t say no. He finds himself in his very own story that he thought he would never have in his life. Isaac doesn’t even know what to expect but he is up for the challenge even for the most feared Snowman. Will Isaac get everything accomplished so he can go home or will he be in the adventure for a long time?

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore starts out as a classic pirate story of a fairy tale treasure in another world. Then the story is taken in a completely different direction with the appearance of a fairy looking to get back to her world and needing Isaac’s help.
It is truly a refreshing engaging story with many twists and turns that I was not expecting. The amount of detail in this book is perfect to get the point across and brings about distinct images of the creature and or place. I could not put this book down because I needed to find out what happened to Isaac Moore!

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore by Samantha J. Rose. This is my first read by this author but I loved it. Its a true adventure book like I used to read when I was younger. I was sucked in as soon as I started reading and didn’t want to put it down until I was finished. Its the story of Isaac Moore who has grown up really poor so the only way to have fun is to have a great imagination. In Isaac’s mind he is a sailor and has been his whole life. He sails the seas and devotes his life to his mission. Isaac also finds stories his mom and grandma have read to him becoming part of his “real” life. He ends up being sucked into a world where there are monsters that are called snowman and worms that are huge. This is such a fun adventurous read that will take you on many journey’s. Kids and adults a like will enjoy this tale!

Every once in a while you find a book so unexpected that it takes you on a fantastical journey. That is what I found in this delightful novel, What Actually Happened To Isaac Moore by Samantha J Rose. It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland meets The Old Man And The Sea! This book (for me) felt nostalgic in the best way! It’s the perfect blend of action, adventure, and fantasy that will remind you of your childhood and the fairy tales that existed there! What Actually Happened To Isaac Moore has beautiful character development that doesn’t feel forced and fun relatable characters. This is the first book I have read by Samantha J Rose, but it will not be my last! I look forward to reading The Very Real World Of Emily Adams and other works by this wonderful author! I absolutely loved this book and I highly recommend it to anyone searching for something that they can’t put their finger on!

This is the first book I’ve picked up by this author. I went in partially blind, only reading a little blurb about the story beforehand. It has been a very long time since I have found a story with the same kind of energy and magic as I found in books when I was a kid. I was hooked from the get-go. I love how real and relatable Isaac is. He literally falls into an epic tale of fantasy, but remains rooted in reality, all the while still learning from the experience and becoming fully immersed in the adventure. Even if this isn’t your typical cup of tea, I guarantee you will enjoy following Isaac on his magical journey! It took me back to my childhood as I hungrily flipped each page, wanting to consume more and more of the colorful world the author has created. It is well-written story and can stand on it’s own next to all the great adventures of my childhood reading.

It’s been awhile since I read a good, old-fashioned adventure novel so I was eager to read this and it definitely lived up to my expectations! The creativity and imagination that so clearly runs through the veins of the author made it a delight to read, also living up to the fantasy found in any C.S. Lewis novel! Isaac Moore is a delightful main character, making the journey he goes on even more enjoyable to experience. The author definitely puts in the work of showing his character development through the story, which always draws me in even more, as well as showing that he remains true to himself from beginning to end. I loved the writing style this author had and can’t wait to read more by her!

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore is a wonderfully written Fantasy that will take you on quite the adventure. It’s a intriguing story that me turning the pages because I had to know what was going to happen next. This author knocked it out of the park with this epic Fantasy. Its packed with adventure, action, magic, drama, and so much more. This is a fairly new author to me but I’m already a fan. Her imagination is like no other her characters pop off the pages. I don’t want to give anything away but I highly recommend reading this book to find out what actually happened to Isaac Moore. I look forward to reading more from this Author. Peculiar and unusual A curious tale that takes the reader on an unusual adventure filled with magic, paranormal, mystery, alternate worlds and a roller coaster of emotion. The story is offbeat but delivered well with Isaac finding himself in a fantastical world. I was engaged from start to finish and enjoyed the quirkiness of the story. Isaac Moore is a sailor who has devoted his entire life to the sea. Growing up poor he learned to have a vivid imagination and wove grand tales of his life and adventures. Isaac never expected to become part of one of his own fairy tales and he certainly never expected to end up in the storybook his mother gave him as a child. After being drug away by a green fairy with hair made of vines, he finds himself standing at the River that was in the storybook his mom used to read to him. As he stands and watches it flow from world to world, he finds it hard to believe that he is now a part of one of his magical fairy tales in his favorite storybook. Suddenly Isaac is on adventures with giant flowers with eyes, enormous worms, and a man called Snowman that frightens poor Isaac.
This book was absolutely brilliant and imaginative. When I started to read it, I was not sure what to expect but was not disappointed. The book sucked me into the storyline, and I wanted to know where Isaac Moore would end up and what (mis)adventures he would go on. This book was colorful, fun, intriguing, full of adventure and mystery. Highly entertaining! Give it a read!

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore is an exciting nautical fantasy. There’s a long-lost map to a possibly real land full of treasure, it’s a classic story! But there’s so much more, unexpected twists and features along the way that make it stand out and keep the reader hooked.
I like how down-to-earth Isaac is. Like, at one point a character is carrying a ball of flame to light the way and he’s wondering why they don’t just make it into a torch to at least appear normal. Childhood lessons from his mother keep him grounded and persevering through the strange challenges he has to face.
There’s some fantastic world building in this story as Isaac enters into a magical, terrifying storybook world. Readers are really taken on a journey!
This book gets five stars from me! If you love pirate and adventure stories with plenty of fantasy elements give this a try, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

This is an original and intriguing story, which had me hooked from the start and kept me captivated throughout. The unique storyline revolves around a sailor, Isaac Moore, who at the moment that he thinks his life is over, finds himself thrown into an unbelievable adventure, but is he dead or not? Isaac is used to the open sea and the canvas sails, but he didn’t expect to find himself standing at the edge of the River from the storybook he had as a child. Issac finds himself in a fairytale, the River, from the book his mother used to read to him, flows from one world to another, as far as he can see. Issac is amazed that he’s even made it that far though, as to get there he’s had to fight a vicious little old man and his air dragon, and that was after a beautiful but angry green fairy with vines for hair dragged him there. All he wants to do is return home, to eat his dinner of mashed potatoes and turkey, but he has many more obstacles to face, least of all the terrifying Snowman. This is an epic fantasy adventure, which had me gripped, and at times a little confused. However, the world building is amazing, as the detailed descriptive narrative really brings the setting vividly to life, along with the wired and wonderful creatures, such as shapeshifters and large flowers with eyes. The quirky characters all have a part to play, but the focus of the story is on Isaac, who seems just as confused as to what is actually happening to him. This is an enjoyable and engaging read, and I recommend picking it up to find out the answer to what actually did happen to Isaac Moore!

This was the first book I have read by this author, but it won’t be my last! This was such a whirlwind of action, adventure, and fantasy; I couldn’t put it down until I had finished the story. What actually happened to Issac Moore is a really good question. In this incredibly smooth, well written, fantastical adventure novel we are left wondering just that. This was my first book by this author and I was taken aback by the creativity and imagination it took to weave together a story of this caliber. I did read the excerpt of the story and acknowledged many of the fantastical elements like giant worms, flowers with eyes, battles with air dragons, enslaving vines, and being brought back to life after a brain bleed, but I was still unprepared for what this book actually contained. I believe this is the best way to go into this book because I don’t think you can ever really prepare for Issacs journey. He really just wants a good nights sleep and some good food but he is thrown into a whole other world. This is an intriguing, wild, enjoyable read.

This curious tale, was definitely one of the more interesting ones that I have read this year. The author crafts her tale in such a way that you never know what’s coming next, and you just simply can’t stop reading. There are parts that will break your heart and others that will warm them. While you will laugh plenty you might also want a box of tissues, needless to say this book was an amazing roller coaster ride. But over all this book was amazing and I will personally be looking for more from this author.

Wow, what a crazy ride. I am left speechless at the imagination and creativity it took to write this book. There were a couple of times where I got lost but found my way back into the story. Elise, at first I couldn’t stand her, she seemed like a terrible person and very manipulative and sneaky but, she really was just trying to find her way home. It was fun for me to find out how Elise knew Isaac for as long as she did, the many different instances in his life she was there for. There are many different characters along this ride, and at one point I thought Isaac was going to ditch them and go back to his normal life but, he doesn’t and I think I would honestly rather be on a crazy adventure too. Isaac and Sister Maria’s relationship just seems volatile and I wouldn’t mind hearing more about their time together. Again very imaginative book and definite recommendation.

I decided to read this book based on the title, expecting it to be some mystery to unravel. This book was nothing at all like I expected it would be but it is so much better. I was captivated by the story and the way it unfolded. The author really created something that is interesting and attention grabbing. I really enjoyed watching how things developed. I have read a couple of books by this author now and I can definitely say she is one I enjoy. This book has to be my favourite so far but I am looking forward to discovering more.

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore by Samantha J. Rose is and intriguing and thought-provoking read. I really didn’t know what to expect going into this story, but the blurb made me curious to find out more. So I snapped up a copy and set off to explore. I really don’t know how to explain this story without accidently giving too much away and spoiling it for you. I really think that you would be better off diving in blind and letting the author and story sweep you up in the crazy adventure- and surprise you, in a good way. It’s fantasy meets adventure, with action, mystery, magic, zany/quirky characters, paranormal elements, humour, dramatic developments, emotion, and a bit of a mystical feel. Happy Reading!

This was my first book by Samantha J. Rose so I didn’t know what to expect. Very quickly I realized I was going to love it! Samantha has crafted a curious tale with What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore. Nothing can prepare you for this. Even Isaac himself cannot believe the world in which he finds himself. Is it even real? Is this what happens in the afterlife? Is it even the afterlife? It is certainly not what he thought it would be if that is the case. Imagine being thrown, quite literally into a crazy world that resembles story books with different worlds and the most unusual of creatures and beings. With clairvoyants and shapeshifters, rivers from childhood, Fairies and giant worms (gulp), dragons and fighting mean little old men, and so much more it will keep you engaged and wondering what poor Isaac has gotten himself involved in. This quirky adventure is full of heartache at times and is heart-warming in the next. There is tragedy yet there is humour. There is laughter to be had and the need for tissues in the next moment. Samantha certainly keeps you on your toes. Isaac has seen a lot in his life but this warped world is not reality. It couldn’t be, right? or is it? Does this the end of dinners with mashed potatoes?

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore by Samantha J. Rose was my first book by this author, and wow, does she have an amazing imagination for storytelling. The world that she has weaved with this expansive story and the unique characters was phenomenally crafted. From the first page, I was already so invested and curious about where this magical story was going to lead me to, and I was not at any point disappointed! This story unfolded into such a beautiful and emotional adventure that left me feeling all the feelings. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone, despite book genre preferences. Read it!

I found this book to be quite entertaining. There were adventures that left you feeling all the emotions. I found myself laughing, crying, etc. Each chapter brought a new tale. I thought the story line was quite enthralling. I know it grabbed my attention from the beginning. The characters were just that. Some big personalities in this book. Samantha J. Rose is a forever-student at Utah State University who will one day have her Masters Degree in Psychology, and is the author of the award-winning novel, The Very Real World of Emily Adams. She wrote her first novel in permanent marker on her sister’s vanity chair when she was three-years-old. It wasn’t well received.
