I have been waiting for this story since Flirt. Friend by M.L. Sparrow was a wonderful story about two best friends who finally give in to their feeling for one another. Terri and Jet first met freshmen year and have watched their friends fall in love.
When Terri was attacked one night coming home, everything changes in her life even her relationship with Jet. While they stay behind for Spring Break, Jet makes a point to not let Terri stay cooped up in her room. With these two alone, their relationship starts to change.
Wonderful group of friends happy, great writing and very real events that can happen while in college. If you love college romance books, you need to read this series.

Sparrow – Review by Jessica Leombruno
Flirt: A College Romance (What Happens on Campus Series) by M.L. Sparrow 5 out of 5 stars Flirt is book in What Happens On Campus series written by M.L. Sparrow and it the second book that I have read buy this author. Flirt is an adult sports /nerd romance that hits all the right spots. We get to see plenty of action on this campus. The characters are well written and are mature for their ages especially what they have been through. The plot was believable with college kids and their struggles and triumphs. We also get to see the awesome characters from book one Player…. Things aren’t what they appear to be Riley Murphy has to give up her promising gymnastics career due to a devastating injury, so she decides to join her twin sister at St Joseph’s University in Texas. Finding a best friend in her roommate, Chloe, she nonetheless finds herself going off the rails as she indulges in drugs, alcohol and boys. Riley realizes with all the partying she has done that it turns into something she can’t control… Too ashamed to confide in her friends or family, and with a boyfriend who does nothing but feed her addictions, the person she turns to is Cameron Lucas, someone she knew as a child. Cam has loved Riley since he was a kid and used to go to work with his mama at the Murphy estate, but she was always so far out of his league. Now he’s beginning to realize that he never really knew her in the first place… However, that realization only deepens his feelings. But the question is, how far is he willing to go to help someone who won’t help them self? And can he discover the demons driving her to self-destruct? Can Cam save Riley? Will they have a happily ever after or a tragic ending. I highly recommend this book/ series…

Sparrow – Review by Tracy Manderson
Flirt is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M.L Sparrow. This book can be read as a standalone, which is what I did, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed it so much that I will be going back and diving into book one the first chance I get! This is one of the better college romances that I’ve read to date. It had everything you could want, and then some! I was so engrossed in it that I flew through the whole book in a matter of hours.
As with the other books of Ms. Sparrows that I have read, this book is beautifully written- the storyline definitely pulls you in and before you know it you’re hooked. The characters are so superbly crafted- not merely words on a page, they actually come to ‘life’ under Ms. Sparrows gifted fingers- becoming fully realised and complex individuals who are realistic and believable- with their own personalities, quirks and flaws. This is yet again another style and ‘genre’ from some of Ms. Sparrows other books and prove just how talented she truly is- as she seems to be able to write any subject, any genre… and do it incredibly well.
Riley Murphy’s life had been turned upside down after a devastating incident. She ends up attending university in Texas, where her sister is also enrolled. She manages to form a close friendship with her roommate and is looking forward to the freedom that college life offers. As her social life ramps up, Riley seems set on a course of self-destruction- large does of alcohol, drugs, and college boys quickly become her focus and she begins to lose control.
Cameron Lucas (Cam) has known Riley since they were children and he’s loved her all this time. But will he be able to help her through this, especially when it seems she isn’t willing to help herself? What was the incident that upended her life and set her on a self-destructive path? Will she find her way again, or will her demons win out in the end? What does the future hold for these two?
Another brilliant read from this gifted writer!
Thank you, Ms. Sparrow!

Flirt: A College Romance (What Happens on Campus Book 2) by ML Sparrow is the second book in the series. It follows a college student who has been struggling to find her way after her life long dreams came to an end. The story was a bit of a roller coaster ride, a bit haunting and a bit on the dark side when having to deal with issues of a young adult who doesn’t make smart choices. I wanted to smack some sense into the main female character of this story but it was a good read. Reading YA stories often instill angst in me as a reader and this had a whole lot of them. If you like angst in your YA college romances then this is a read for you.

Player: A College Romance (What Happens on Campus Book 1) by ML Sparrow and is a Young Adult college romance story and the first book in the series but you do not have to be a young adult to enjoy this story. The story is well written and any one who loves this genre will love this. The story is told in the different POV’s of the main characters which, as always, gives you that much needed insight to a character that you would not otherwise get. Unfortunately, running away does not fix problems, they follow you everywhere but learning to live with those problems and forgive yourself, then you will truly heal. Of course a hunky football player and a strong emotional connection with said hunk, certainly helps.
This story will please those of you who love YA college romance stories. I am off to read the next book, Flirt.

Flirt: A College Romance is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M L Sparrow. This story was a lot heavier than I was expecting even though I knew what Riley was like in the first book. Found myself wiping tears away a couple of times.
Riley was hurting and didn’t know how to deal with it. Instead of talking to friends or family she starts partying and it goes down hill rapidly.
Cameron is a sweetheart and I wasn’t sure if he was right for Riley for that reason. He hasn’t had the easiest life but is making sure he has a better life in the future.
There were a few instances I wanted to just shake Riley and everyone else because of the way they were acting with her and found myself having a hard time being sympathetic even though I knew I should be.
I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series and hope it comes out soon.

Sparrow – Review by Robin Rankin
What a great story! Flirt is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M.L. Sparrow. You can read this book as a standalone but I would recommend that you read this in sequence. So this story follows Riley and her journey with loss of a career, addiction and finding who she is. This story also follows Cameron. The boy that has been in love with Riley since he could remember. While Riley goes through her tough times she comes to find love with Cameron. Cameron really helps her with her growth and shows her what true love means. Riley was headed on her way to the Olympics as a gymnast when she hurt herself and wasn’t able to continue her career. So she decided to go to college with her twin sister. Those two couldn’t be any different! But college wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. Riley met a guy who introduced her to all kinds of addictions. This story was definitely a roller coaster but thankfully one that has a HEA. There weren’t too many sexy scenes. This story didn’t need a whole lot of them. But the ones that were there were pretty steamy. Addiction is difficult for anyone, even a rich girl that had huge aspirations. But its how you deal with it that counts and that’s what this book is all about. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I would recommend this series to anyone!

Sparrow – Review by Melissa Agena
Flirt is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M.L. Sparrow. This book picks up around where Player left off, but this book can be read as a standalone (recommend reading Player). Riley is a little lost after losing her gymnastics career and wanted to try the college life. Well, she tried the wrong college life – drinking, drugs dealer “boyfriend” and sleeping around. Cameron is your typical good guy; he loves math and science, doesn’t drink much and go to church. Cameron has always been in love with Riley since they somewhat grow up together. Riley needed someone to put her on the right track before something really bad happened but is Cameron the right person and why is Riley really acting like this?
I really liked this book; Riley and Cameron were just the right balance for each other. At times I couldn’t believe that Riley was so selfish and didn’t think of anyone else. I wanted to smack her friends for waiting so long to do something about it. But I guess you have to let someone fall before you help to pick them up.
I’m looking forward to the next book but I have a feeling I’m not going to like what happened to Terri. A box of tissue will be on standby.

Sparrow – Review by Jessica Leombruno
The first instalment of the What Happens on Campus series, Player is a new adult sports romance that hits all the right spots. Set in a Texan college, this book had everything I was hoping for and more. I cannot recommend it enough and have already downloaded the next book to read!
Full disclosure, I love a sports romance. Literally any sport and I’m obsessed with whatever book it is, especially if our leading man happens to play American football; even better if he’s the quarterback! As an English girl, like our leading lady Chloe, this allows me to escape into all of my fantasies. Basically, I’ve decided that I am Chloe and her story is now my own. I love this character and everything about her. Having suffered a traumatic event just a few years earlier, she is still learning how to cope with her new life. I love the mix of vulnerability and independence that she has and how despite everything, she has still found the strength to continue with her dreams. I not only want to be her, I want to be her friend, too. What more could you want in leading lady?!
Chloe has something else I want, too: Parker’s attention. What a dream of a man. Yes, he is a bit of a player, but what girl doesn’t love a bit of confidence? He’s a confident, cheeky athlete who also wears a hat (yes, I’m a sucker for this), so he’s basically my own personal version of heaven. While his timing sometimes leaves a lot to be desired, I really loved his and Chloe’s relationship. I won’t ruin the whole story for you, prepare yourself for some emotional moments!
On top of everything else that is perfect about this book, I loved the cast of supporting characters that supported Chloe and Parker. Riley is a particularly interesting character and I can’t wait to find out more about her past in the next book in the series, Flirt. This was a truly brilliant read and I’m about to throw myself straight into the next one!
