This is book one of the series. It was a really good read. You can predict a bit what will happen but it will not stop you from turning each page to find out what happens. This book is different from other shifter books. Elias is a deer shifter. Mila moves away and after a few years she feels a tug calling her home. She has a connection to the animals and a bit more. Ready to read book two.

Wild Desire is book one of The Protector Series by Toya Richardson. You start with Mila Stubbs who came back to her hometown as a forest ranger, then you also meet Elias Crane who has been waiting for his true mate to appear. With Drake Scott trying to torture Mila from her past and get in the way of her and Elias, there is so much going on in this book, I fell in love! You’ve got lots of love, hate, and friendships in between! Great job Toya on an amazing series. I can’t wait to start the rest of the series. So many options it’s great!

Wild Desire is a paranormal shifter novel where the shifters were different than what you would normally expect. I still enjoyed the shifter aspect, and how she brought it out in the story. Mila has returned home years after her parents’ death. Immediately you know she is in danger. Atmosphere was well done as well as character development. I loved the twists in this story. The suspense kept me going – couldn’t put this book down. I look forward to the next books in the series!

Wild Desire is the first book by Toya Richardson that I have read. I loved the connection between Mila and Elias and the way they argued with each other. You can just feel the chemistry. It makes me sad that I haven’t read her books until now. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

I wasn’t sure how to rate this book. It doesn’t deserve a three but it’s not quite a four either. I’ll give it a 3.5. After reading the back of the book, I was excited to read it. After finishing it, I feel a little let down.
Things I liked: The idea behind the storyline was excellent. With all the craziness in the world today, having Scott Tech as the bad guys made the story believable. I can actually see something like this happening in our world. I wouldn’t even be surprised.
I loved the fact that the main characters were deer shifters. The main focus in shifter books is usually on the wolf. It was refreshing to read a story about other shifters.
I liked the idea of a legion of protectors watching over unsuspecting humans. This idea can lead to so many more books.
Things I didn’t like: Mila was up in arms at first about the whole mate and supernatural thing. Within a few hours, Mila (who’s a virgin) was jumping into bed with Elias and totally accepting everything. It was unrealistic to have that dramatic a change within that time frame.
Drake, who is supposed to be her nemesis, turned out to be a spoiled brat who would throw tantrums like a two year old. It was disappointing. Maybe he’ll be a better bad guy in part two.
Lastly, I feel like the characters lacked depth. Because of this, the story didn’t suck me in and hold my undivided attention. I read the book and enjoyed it but not as much as I should have.

I adore a good paranormal romance! Toya Richardson has crafted a great story with many twists involved. Its my first read by her, and will not be the last As we are introduced to Elias and Mila you can’t help but fall in love. They are both fierce, loyal, and strong characters. The chemistry between them is off the charts and the sexual chemistry can be felt coming off the pages. When Mila decides to return home after many years due to feeling the pull she discovers a lot about her hometown. Nothing is as she once believed. There is a whole other world of shifters and protectors, and she is one of them who is powerful in her own right. When she meets Elias she learns he is a deer shifter as well as her mate. She must adjust to this new information and fight against Drake who was her childhood bully, and wants her still for his own selfish needs. This book was full of action, steam, and suspense. It was an all around fun read and I cannot wait for more in the series.

his was my first Toya Richardson book, and I really enjoyed it. Being centered around Mila and Elias as fated mates there is romance, action, drama and a bit of suspense – all the makings for a great Paranormal Romance. The connection between Mila and Elias is well written, and overall, the Characters in the book are extremely likable. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

Wild DESIRE in deed. Dam… this book is just so good, emotional, spice, sexy, great characters, paranormal/fantastic wolrd. I never thought I cpould find a book about this kinda subject so well done and so envolving, it made me feel every single sensation and the way that the autor builds up the attraction and the powerful desire makes you feel like you are living it youserlf. Toya Richardson is my new favorite paranormal author. Her story is fast paced and she leaves you wanting so much more. I was drawn in on the first page and could not stop reading, until the last page had been read. The characters in this story have strong roles and Mila is no push over. She is strong willed and has no problem taking what is hers. As for Elias, he is too hot to handle. The romance between these two people is nothing more than HOT! Hot! HOT! Well Done Toya Richardson! Wow! This was such a good book! So most of the time when you read shifter books, its all romance and sex or fighting and fighting! Wild Desire by Toya Richardson has a perfect mix of that in between that you don’t see often. I’m not sure if I would have picked up this book if I had only read the summary, but the few reviews convinced me!
Mila and Elias pissed me off at first! To tease each other and make a mess of things like they did at first makes you have to read more so you can see how they fix it. I loved this paranormal romance! Wild Desire by Toya Richardson had everything I would need to satisfy my obsession with supernatural beings, if it be shifters, vampires, witches, etc. Mila is a character well written who has major developments happened throughout and the author did not disappoint when writing about her growth. Then there’s Elias who has so much depth and culture written into his character. The growth between Elias and Mila by themselves and together is wonderfully written. I really couldn’t rave about it more! When their livelihood is threatened Elias, being Mila’ mate, would do everything in his power to keep her safe. Being shapeshifters as well as having other powers, has drawn interest from Scott Tech for experimentation and torture. Do they succeed? Do they fail? Or do they do enough to keep themselves and their own family safe? All that and so so much more is here, within the pages of this book. I dare you to find out what happens!

A shifter romance that’s spicy spicy 🥵 nearly the whole way through is a fabulous escape from reality. 😍 Mila and Elias have an entertaining relationship from their first meeting. I found myself gasping and clutching my imaginary pearls with some of the very alpha comments that Elias made. Mila handles it well from a woman’s point of view. The antagonist in this book is a group of vile science type people, led by the daddy’s boy Drake Scott. Drake Scott has had it out for Mila since she was in grade school and there are no limits to how far he will go to terrorize her life. I was on the edge of my seat a good portion of this book and was not disappointed by the ending. I’ll be keeping an eye 👀 out for the next book in this series.

Wild Desire (The Protectors Series Book 1) by Toya Richardson is one of the best shifter/romance books that I have read in a long time. This great novel has a Alpha male that knows it’s his job to protect his mate and his pack and he knows just how to do it. Meanwhile his mate is not just a meek girl like so many authors portray them but she is fiery and feisty. But between the writers intense writing, incredible details, and just the overall story Ms. Richardson will have you hooked by the end of chapter one. Fast paced full of suspense, drama, and more, trust me when I say that you won’t want to put Wild Desire down once you start it.

Wild Desire by Toya Richardson is the first book in The Protectors series. This is a good story with some likeable characters. There is a great mix of paranormal and romance, neither one seemingly to overshadow the other. There were a few times in the story that I wish there has been a little more detail or it hadn’t felt quite a rushed but I think overall the author has created an enjoyable story. This book has set the background for the next books to follow. I thought this was was a thoroughly enjoyable book and I am looking forward to next one.

I thought this was a good book as I have never read anything written by this author before. I wasn’t sure what to expect from her but found that her writing was very sexy and suspenseful. I thought she did a wonderful job describing the characters, so you felt connected with them emotionally and physically. There were several twists and turns along the way that I was expecting so she did have me biting my nails in certain parts of the book. I am excited to see what she does with the story and the characters from here on out.

Mila and Elias set the pages on fire!!! I absolutely loved the first book in The Protectors series. The first interaction between Mila and Elias is priceless. He lets his emotions take over and doesn’t think before he opens his mouth to firmly stake his claim. I couldn’t help laughing out loud at that. Once I picked this book up I couldn’t seem to tear myself away. There is the perfect combination of romance, heat, danger and action in this book and I really loved all of the other characters that were introduced. I can’t wait to read their stories next! The world that the author Toya Richardson built is like a warm, welcoming extended family that you can’t wait to have a cup of tea with, and just immerse yourself in their magical world.

This is the first book in The Protectors series and its such a good book. I love paranormal romances and this book was really good. The author does an amazing job with the characters. I love how strong and protective Elias is of not only his mate but he whole family, and u also love how strong and fiesty Mila is. They both complement each other and their relationship and bond is so captivating.
Mila returns to her home to work in the forest. When her old high school bully messes with her house she is scared and angry. After meeting Elias, their first meeting doesn’t go well. Why does Elias claim she is his? Why does she feel such a strong connection towards and with him.
As everything Mila thinks she knows comes unravelled and she realises fantasy and fiction actually exist she needs to learn how to deal with her fated mate and her new skills, all while trying to save herself from the people trying to capture her for their own wicked ends.

Wild Desire is the first book in The Protectors series by Toya Richardson. As I started further into this fantastic series, it has been great to go back and ‘see’ where everything began. This is a superb paranormal romance, with shifters, fated mates, drama, danger, suspense, trauma, fear, action, agendas, and emotion. Mila Stubbs has had a traumatic past but is hoping her new job will be another step towards a brighter future. The only problem is that being a forest ranger means it will be placing her a little close to her past- one she would much rather forget and leave behind. She knows she might be inviting danger back into her life- but a chance meeting might turn fate in her favour. If you love a great paranormal story with action, adventure, suspense, and a wonderful romance- then you need this book in your life! I’m so glad I went back to the beginning!

Wild Desire was a good read. This is the first book out of this series I’ve read before. I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect when I picked this book up besides some romance and paranormal shifters. I was not expecting the steam! This book was probably about 70% steam and spicy content. This book had a great storyline, but I feel like it could have been executed better. There was a ton of chances to throw some suspense in there and more action and excitement and it was kind of just skipped over for more sex scenes. I enjoyed reading this book it just didn’t hold my interest like I really wanted it to. I hope the next books in this series gets better! This has potential to be an amazing series!

I loved this story! Mila and Elias are so cute together! This was such a unique twist on a shifters tale. I really enjoyed it. It had just enough fire of the heart and true danger to keep you sucked into the story. I really liked Mila’s character and just that she followed her calling no matter the cost. Elias makes you just melt with his words and just all together sexiness!! You won’t regret reading this!! I can’t wait to read more of the series!

Wow, this book had a whole lot packed into it; it’s definitely not your typical shifter romance!
Characters- Elias is such a sweetie, I love how down to Earth and thoughtful/understanding he is. Then the author also goes, oh he’s a guy I have to make him do a few stupid things too! Love it! Mila at first reminded me of a girl in a horror movie or a drunk girl in a bar bathroom calling her ex- running right into danger and throwing all the common sense out the window, thank goodness Elias is there to ground her and bring out her badassery! Special note- I wish Lily was my sister (wouldn’t hurt to be her either)!
Plot-this was not what I expected at all! I loved that it still had the shifter coming of age/returning to where you belong, but still brought something new to the table with what they are fighting against!

This book was perfectly fit for me I truly felt. I love anything paranormal and myself being a Earth Sign, I love nature and forests, so even the setting fit well with my soul and heart! I was entranced from the beginning, learning of the main character, and as we dove into the deeper parts of the forests, I was just wow, this is put together so well I told myself I need to read more by this author immediately!
I loved how the introduction to the novel as well as this new series for me started out. I found there was mystery and intrigue for myself as the reader leaping off the page. And to me, that is always a definite plus when I start a new book or series! Mila was a strong character who had her burns and scars from life, she had lost a great deal that meant basically a lot to her, and that was her family in well a unfortunate incident. Doing her job is what made her life worth living, and all she needed so she thought. What was in the forest, maybe even Mila would not be prepared for it, in one way or another?
Elias meets Mila. He instantly knows she is the one. They seemed to click right away, but in truth would they both give into the nature of the forests with the trees being their guides? The sexual tension between these two souls was literally was going to make my Kindle not be able to hold books for reading anymore lol. The sexual chemistry was ground breaking and brought more intrigue to my mind than I expected As I read on, things get a bit dark and the story takes off more, for Elias and Mila’s story. I was shocked, stunned, and simply on the edge of my seat at times. I honestly loved the writing style of this author and the characters this author has brought to life!
The book itself brought mystery, intrigue, suspense, and of course paranormal. I enjoyed how it made my mind fill with wonderment and wanting to know more about Elias and his kind, and I wanted Mila and Elias to have the love story both deserved and the passion they could both give one another. Yes, I was constantly cheering for these two souls. I loved how the style of the writing went about and how the novel and all that it contained came together so nicely. I loved it, and I truly need to read the next in the series, as well as more by this talented author! Seriously, read this book, you will have no regrets!

The Story of Elias and Mila feels like a story of love that has overcome so many odds to be. Mila grew up being bullied for being different. She preferred animals to people. Who doesn’t? I know most days, I do. She felt the pull of the forest. After he parents where tragically killed and after being bullied by the jerk, Drake Scott, she left town. Now she is back as a forest ranger….and she put herself right in harm’s way. Drake has her back on his radar. Elias has a few secrets to hide but he has been waiting for a long time to find his mate and now she is here. He throw himself into protecting Mila. These two learn during time of trouble about each other. They go through fire and hell and come out loving each other more on the other side. Mila meets the other supes and together they battle the evil that has befallen on their community. This is a tremendous book. The action sucks you in. the characters all blend together and work in such a way that it just blends naturally. The plot just goes like a river. I couldn’t put the book down. I will be reading the rest of the series. You have to find out what happens. This is a book that leaves you, the reader, feeling like you are part of the community. You just can’t be left hanging. Great book. One of my must reads of the year! Highly recommend!

Wild Desire (The Protectors Series Book 1) by Toya Richardson. This was a great book in fact I read it in one sitting. Its the story of Mila Stubbs who has been drawn back to her hometown as a Park Ranger after her parents were killed. She is looking into their deaths because she’s not believing what she’s been told. During her investigation she meets Elias Crane who has spent centuries trying to find his soulmate and when he meets Mila he realizes she is it. Mila doesn’t know she’s his soulmate so he’s giving her time to come to terms with it. The more time they spend together the more the chemistry is heating up. Will Mila find the answer’s to her parents death and her soulmate situation? Mila is full of fire and I’m sure she will get answers one way or another. I can’t wait for the next installment!

Wild Desire (The Protectors Series Book 1) by Toya Richardson is a paranormal romance. I have read a couple of books in this series and realised that I had not read the first one. This is not your normal shifter story as there are a whole variety of shifters. There is lots of danger and drama, suspense, and action that just pops off the page and you feel like you are fighting right alongside of them.
With beloved fated mates and lives on the line they will stop at nothing to keep them safe from the evil so intent on destroying them.
I love a good paranormal story with action and adventure, suspense and romance and this book and series ticks all those boxes.
