World Tree Girl (Shadow Valley Manor #2) by Kerry Schafer – Review by Jenni Bishop

World Tree Girl (Shadow Valley Manor #2)World Tree Girl by Kerry Schafer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

World Tree Girl is the second book of The Shadow Valley Manor Series by Kerry Schafer. World Tree Girl continues from where the first book finished so I suggest you read Dead Before Dying first to understand to get the backstory of the characters. I really enjoy reading Kerry’s books she has just the right amount of intrigue, mystery and paranormal.

Maureen is an ex FBI investigator getting on with her life after being shot. And is trying to adjust to being the new owner of Shadow Valley Manor. When the local Sheriff brings a new case to Maureens door, she can’t help but jump at the chance to show that a local death is more than it seems. Along with the usual troops from the first book, you have a paranormal front seat along with the team as they unearth things you can only imagine. Will the team be in more danger than they realise? Will the team survive to find the truth.

Kerry has written a complex yet compelling plot that you don’t want to miss. This story is well written with lots of twists and turns and surprises. If you like crime, mystery and paranormal and the X files then you will enjoy this series.

World Tree Girl (Shadow Valley Manor #2)World Tree Girl by Kerry Schafer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

World Tree Girl is the second book in the Shadow Valley Manor series and follows the adventures of Maureen and her team in the investigation of the Paranormal.

Maureen is no stranger to the unknown as she was on a team within the FBI regarding the strange and unknown after an accident she is now working out of a residential home that was be-quested to her from a former colleague. There is something not quite right within the county and they are twists with ghosts and unexplained phenomena that the team will how to find out what is going sown.

The story is full of the weird and wonderful and the fast pace of the book has you hanging on the til the very end. I enjoyed the story line and though it was well written with the twists and turns as you turn every page. This is the first book I have read by this author and although I could follow the story with not having read the first book, but I will definitely be looking to download it and start reading it straight away.
