You Are Special is the first book in the Buddy the Blue Corgi series by Suzanna Lynn. It is a sweet and uplifting story that encourages us to accept our differences as they are what makes us special. It is a story about embracing our differences and loving ourselves. It comes with very cute, bright, colourful, and engaging illustrations that help to deliver some valuable life lessons. The story finishes with a scripture passage that helps to reinforce the messages in this book.
My grandson loved reading this with me- and thinks Buddy is the cutest… he wants a puppy just like him.
Looking forward to more Buddy stories as the rest of the series unfolds..

You Are Special is a heartwarming addition to the Buddy the Blue Corgi series that gently explores themes of self-acceptance and individuality. The story centers on Buddy, a charming blue corgi puppy who begins to feel out of place because he looks different from the other corgis.

You Are Special by Suzanna Lynn is the first book in the children’s Buddy the Blue Corgi series. The colourful illustrations help to capture young one’s imagination making the story come to life.
Buddy is a sweet and curious character, and children will quickly take to his endearing charm. In this fun adventure tale Buddy with the help of his mum learns that there are differences between others and himself and that is okay. This picture book is engaging, and cute. My grandsons loved reading this with me and seeing all the different animals and farming life.

You are Special is book 1 of the Buddy the Blue Corgi series and this is such a sweet and enjoyable story. This book is more toward from ages baby – 10 years but even the young at heart, like me, really liked the story of Buddy the Blue Corgi. Learning that you may be different is not a bad thing and there is nothing to be ashamed of. I love how we can all learn from Buddy it is ok to be different…

This is a great story full of beautifully colorful illustrations. I am already looking forward to more Buddy the Blue Corgi stories!!

I am always looking for cute children’s books to pass along to my grandchildren or to anyone that has a child that wants to get them interested in reading. This book I think will do that. It is short, it has a lot of pictures and it has a special message, telling them that we are special in our way.

If you are looking for a book that you can read to your children or grandchildren and that they can later read it to themselves I think this one is it. Check it out, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Author Suzanna Lynn is a happily married, full-time mother of three beautiful, energetic children, and lives in a small town nestled in the deep rolling hills of Missouri.

 

Growing up in the Ozarks, Suzanna spent her childhood wandering the fields and woods surrounding her home. While most children avoided the dark corners of the woods, she sought them out; imagining them to be filled with fairies, dragons and all number of creatures.

 

Having not lost her childhood imagination, Suzanna has written numerous poems, songs and short stories that won various awards in high school and college. Her dream was to, one day, be an author.

 

In 2014 she decided to stop wishing she could publish a book and made the dream a reality when she released The Bed Wife.

 

That first novella gave birth to two more books, completing the series, and stirred the embers of her five-book series called The Untold Stories. She has since published stand alone novels, and has published several children’s books.

 

When she’s not busy writing, illustrating, or spending time with her family, Suzanna loves to travel, go horseback riding, and growing flowers. She also has been known to volunteer with her children’s school, the Ladies Auxiliary, and even her local zoo!
