The Guard: A Soppranaturale Series: Book 2 by Ashley Pagano. I recommend reading these books in order. This may be on the shorter side but it still packs a punch with a great storyline and great characters. Characters that draw you so completely in that I was happy to be lost in its pages for a while. Each character brings something unique to the storyline and they are so easy to connect with. The storyline is unique in it’s own right and I loved every minute of it. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next. Four big stars and highly recommended.

This second book may have just surpassed the first – which I didn’t anticipate being possible. Pagano has done a beautiful job continuing this series and making it fresh and exciting. I love Ommily and Link and reading more of their journey with the Soppranaturale. I truthfully don’t want to give anything away because it is just so beautifully written and worth the reading experience. Beautifully done. A must read for all fantasy lovers!

This is the second book in the Soppranaturale series. I highly recommend reading book one to understand the characters and what they have been through already. This story is full of action, adventure, magic, supernatural, and danger. In the first book, we were introduced to Ommilu and Link. They are the last two Fae and their journey has not been an easy one. In this story, they are Guards at the hotel. They are pushed to limits they themselves cannot expect. This is a fast paced story, The pages just fly by and the book can be read in one sitting. You will want to read the whole book to see what happens to Ommilu and Link.

This is the second book in the series and I would recommend that you read the first part to fully understand this one. Fairies are so rare and now there are two in the hotel. After winning the gauntlet, Link and Ommily joined the guard. Not everyone is happy about that but they need to put aside their differences if they are to overcome the battle that awaits them. Sacrifices need to be made and some may need to make the ultimate one.

This is a romance filled with action and fantastical creatures. Magic abounds within these pages. The author pulls you in and keeps you wondering what will happen next. This book was a great addition to the series. The ending leaves the author room to take the story in a multitude of directions. I’m excited to see what will happen next.

The Guard by Ashley Pagano is the second book in A Soppranaturale Series. First, read the book prior to this one before delving into this book. This book picks up shortly after where the first ended. Ommily and Link are back and have a lot to get through. There is no rest for them in protecting the Soppranaturale Hotel as the two remaining fae. This book takes the reader to a new and interesting world, which keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. I stayed up late into the night to finish this because I had to know what was going to happen. I just couldn’t wait. I enjoy that this is not a straight up fantasy but has a bit of romance, action, and plenty of twists and turns. It was a great way to spend a rainy day. I look forward to reading more from Ashley Pagano in the future.

The Guard by Ashley Pagano a fancy five-star read. This is number two in a Soppranaturale series and it is best to read them in order to get the most out of them. This was such a well-done paranormal story, it has so many fast-paced lines that hook you in and don’t let go. There is something for everyone in this series and this story, action and passion and romance, a story that will run you through the emotional wringer, but you will still love it. I don’t want to say too much, so I will just say you need this story!!

This book is an awesome second book. It’s not too often that a second equals or is better than the first. This is one special book because it does that! It is a continuation of book 1 and tells how things are since winning the Gauntlet. Each of the characters is moved forward personally but they also grow together. I loved seeing each of them and their powers.

Do you like action, romance, paranormals? Yes, Yes, Yes?..Me too! This has all that and more! This is full of wonderful characters. I loved wondering what Ommily and Link would do next, who they would run into and what kind of paranormal they were. Or maybe they were human.

Overall I really loved this! Excellent idea (hotel) for the story. The characters are fun, sassy and annoying. They even made me tear up! I would love to see more of these characters anytime!

I would highly recommend reading The Gauntlet (book 1) before reading this. There are a few overlapping stories as well as the first time Ommily comes to the hotel.

Yes! Book 1 was epic, this is even better!

This book was once again written brilliantly, with brilliant descriptions and epic high fantasy, romance, action & adventure, It was a captivating and engaging read from the very beginning.
This book picks up right after book 1 so I highly suggest that you read them both in order to get the full experience of the characters stories and journeys from the very beginning.

This book fully captivates you into this world the author has created and you get lost within the pages, it feels like you are there within the story living it out alongside the characters. You will never get bored while reading this book, it’s fast-paced and will leave you wanting more! I can’t wait to read more from this author and to see what else will come to series! I really enjoyed the second book in the Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano. I don’t usually read this particular genre but I really liked book 1 and the authors writing I felt was really engaging and enjoyable to read. Again I was quickly absorbed into what I was reading; the author’s descriptive language makes for great world building. The characters are very creative and I liked reading about them. I enjoyed following Link and Ommily again in this story, they definitely had some obstacles to face this time – I loved reading about them! The story does have quite a few layers to it which made it more exciting to read, I found myself easily lost in what I was reading!
I think this book definitely needs to be read after book 1 to fully understand everything going on. I definitely recommend this series!!

YES! I had high hopes for this novel after reading the first in the series, which I recommend that you do as well before diving into this one, but this knocked it out of the park. I really have grown to love taking an escape type vacation to a magical world of the Soppranaturale. The way this book is written you are transported to a land you could only imagine in your wildest dreams with all kinds of magic and inhuman creatures.

This book picks up just shortly after the last with Ommily and Link finally finding each other and in the Guard but with a whole new set of obstacles in their way. There are several layered elements between the Guard and the romance between the two that there is hardly a moment to breathe let alone get bored. I found myself reading this well into the night to see how the culmination of everything would turn out. Not one missed wink was missed. I look forward to seeing what will come next from Ashley Pagano!

The Guard is the second book in The Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano. It is a really intriguing paranormal fantasy, and a really original and fun read. I loved the first book and couldn’t wait to dive into this story and continue the adventure. Full of magic, secrets, supernatural and paranormal beings, discovery, action, danger, and more.
We discovered The Soppranaturale Hotel in Book One- the ’undercover’ sanctuary for paranormal & supernatural creatures who all do their part to keep things running and contribute to The Soppranaturale. We met Ommily and Link- the very last two Fae, as they proceeded to connect and then conquer the Gauntlet. This book sees them being tested like never before, as rouge supernaturals enter the picture- placing everything they hold dear in grave danger! What happens next kept me avidly reading to discover if they win out in the end.
I highly recommend reading book one before starting on this book, as there is important backstory and interesting details contained there, which will enhance your appreciation of this book.
So, if you love a well written and incredibly intriguing paranormal fantasy- then you really won’t want to miss this story/series!
Looking forward to more!

Thank you, Ms. Pagano!

I loved reading the book The Guard (A Soppranaturale Series Book 2) by Ashley Pagano. It is a story that includes action, danger, romance, and magical beings. It is a book that pulled me in, and I was hooked. I love the characters of Link and Ommily. They have found each other and reading about their feelings for each other made me believe in true love and soulmates. This story has suspense and I found myself turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. What will happen when evil forces rise against the Soppranaturale hotel? Read this book to find out. The author does a wonderful job in world-building and making both the storyline and the characters come to life on the pages. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that interact with Link and Ommily. Many of them are helpful and help them take a stand against the forces that come against them. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining story that you will not be able to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

I enjoyed this book. This is book two in this series, I highly suggest you read book one before this one. It will help your enhancement of this series and get to know where the characters come from and where they are now. This is a great second part of this story. Ommily and Link’s story picks up where they have just found each other and have been accepted into the Guard. Their journey continues as they take a stand against supernaturals rogues. Their relationship is pushed to limits they did not expect. Will the Guard come out on top or will the hotel fall? What happens to them you don’t want to miss. They bring lots of action and some romance too. It is a fast paced story and easy to read. This book made a great afternoon story and I highly recommend this book.

Her works usually center around a powerhouse female protagonist (which reflect her own personality), who progresses through many wild and extreme obstacles, including falling in love. Ashley loves to write stories that end with a cliffhanger, that have the reader begging for more and questioning what happens next. Her most recent novel sets the stage for the fairy love saga of the century and includes vampires, witches, shapeshifters and werewolves who just love to get in the way of true love. Sky to Sea: Crimson Sash Book 2, by Amanda Marin was a very good read. It was reflective of our society at this time in our country and the different feelings and attitudes about immigration. I enjoy books that reflect on our present society it helps to understand or consider a perspective that you may not have considered before. And it’s just a good story. The relationship between Neve and Micah is fragile and strong at the same time. Their struggle to help each other in the best way that they know how is a wonderful story. This book is a great read all on its own but if you haven’t read the first in this series North to Nara: Crimson Sash Book 1, you should. The background story will double your reading pleasure for this one.

I remember when I read the first book in this series and the authors writing almost sang to me off the pages, so I have to admit I was really looking forward to reading the next book in the series and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Again the authors writing was such a pleasure to read, the storyline had a lovely flow to it. I love Neve and Micah, they are just such lovely and genuine characters and I enjoyed following their journey. The authors beautiful descriptive language made me feel like I was right there with the characters experiencing some of the scenery and things that they were. Dystopian reads aren’t usually my go to genre but I am really enjoying this series! Sky to Sea should be read following the first book North to Nara as it is a continuation of that story – both wonderful reads and I don’t think readers will be disappointed at all!!

Sky to Sea: Crimson Sash- Book 2 by Amanda Marin
4 of 5 Stars
Sky to Sea is book 2 in Marin’s ‘Crimson Sash’ series. It continues the story of Neve Hall and Micah Ward which began in the first book, ‘North to Nara’. It is set in a dystopian world with two waring factions the ‘New Republic’ and the ‘Nation’. Neve and Micah find themselves in a refugee shelter trying to convince the immigration officials that they are worthy of citizenship to the ‘New Republic’ but as a Sufferer, an empath Micah is wanted back by the ‘Nation’. Torn between the two places the couple find themselves in the middle of conflict and are kidnapped and held hostage, but underneath it all they just want to be together and find the freedom to love as promised by the New Republic. Sadly for the couple the myth and fantasy is not like the reality.
I loved Neve and Micah, I found the couple likeable, realistic and ‘normal’ in this dystopian world. I was cheering them on throughout the book and I really cared about their outcome.
This is a well written book with a solid storyline, great characters and it moves along at a fast pace. I was gripped from page one and found myself immersed in Marin’s dystopian world.
Although this is book 2 of a series, I read it as a stand-alone book and was able to enjoy it and understand the storyline, however I think if I had read book one, I would have had more of the characters backstory and their reasoning behind certain decisions they made. I am keen to read, ‘North to Nara’ now.

Sky to Sea (Crimson Sash Book 2) By Amanda Marin was an interesting and fascinating read. The author transports readers to another world. It was fascinating to me to read how the world was divided and the different types of governments that existed to rule. The Nation sounded like a cruel and terrifying place to live. I was shocked with the horrors Micah and Neve were forced to face before escaping. The story begins with them at a refugee camp trying to attain citizenship ship in the New Republic. This was definitely a book I don’t usually read and I enjoyed it.

I didn’t read the first novel, but this one grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let go. I couldn’t stop reading it! I can’t wait to read the first one and the last one! Sky to Sea (Crimson Sash Book 2) By Amanda Marin. This is the second book in this series and I really think you should read the first one to really get the story. I’m not a huge fan of this genre but I loved this book. Its the story of Neve Hall a strong, independent young woman and Micah Ward a young man that has been thru a lot. They find themselves in the New Republic and think they are home free but in reality they are having to prove themselves worthy of being citizens there. They must convince the Immigration Case Manager that they will be productive citizens to the New Republic. Neve and Micah find themselves at the center of a battle when tensions occur between the New Republic and the Nation. They are kidnapped and held hostage and until the Nation meets their demands they won’t be released and one of the demands is Micah must return! This is a wonderful book that will keep you turning the pages. Read it to find out what happens to Micah and Neve! You will love it!

Marin has created a beautiful world for the backdrop of this dystopian book. Her characters just fly off the page. This story is about Neve and Micah. They are living in a shelter for refugees as they are trying to get citizenship before they are deported back to the Nation.I have found myself flipping through the pages as I wanted to know what lies ahead for Neve and Micah. It was a roller coaster for sure. I love the twists and turns. What will happen to Neve and Micah? Will they be trapped in between the worlds or will they be able to gain citizenship to live in New Republic?
