Just Exes By Charity Ferrell – Review by Emily Brockschmidt

Just ExesJust Exes by Charity Ferrell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Just Exes” is the third book in the Blue Beech series by Charity Ferrell but can be read as a standalone as I did. This wonderful story of love, loss and forgiveness is about Gage and Lauren, High school sweethearts who didn’t last. Gage has tried to move on with his life and pursued his dream of becoming a cop while Lauren followed her dream of being an ER nurse. Ten years of space stands between them when they see each other again after Lauren’s apartment complex catches fire and Gage in on the scene, to arrest Lauren. This story is so much more than your normal boy meets girl or boy and girl hate each other(but do they really?) type books I have read in the past. This story is deeper and more emotional than one would think from its description. I couldn’t stop reading this book. I got completely pulled into the story and loved it! The depth of the story and characters was so beautifully written. I can’t say a whole lot more about that because I don’t want to ruin any of it with details here, but do yourself a favor and lose a few hours to this book. As I mentioned, I didn’t read the previous stories in the series about Lauren’s brothers, but after reading this book I think I have to! I love the family that Charity Ferrell has written about and can’t wait to find out more! Five obvious stars to “Just Exes” by Charity Ferrell!
