The House that Adelia Built By Mya O’Malley – Review by Emily Brockschmidt

The House that Adelia BuiltThe House that Adelia Built by Mya O’Malley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! Where to start?! I just love Mya O’Malley’s books! This is the fifth book by her that I’ve read and they all have been so wonderful! In “The House That Adelia Built” we meet Adelia in 1876 and Hope in 2017, two women who love the same lighthouse and live to care for it. Hope is a shy, soft spoken woman who always had trouble making friends besides her roommate, Tracy. Adelia is a lonely woman with only her gin swilling husband to talk to, who is desperate for a real friend. Mya O’Malley beautifully blends the stories of the two women with alternating chapters, giving us a glimpse forward and back to weave the story together. I absolutely devoured this book in a few short hours as it is packed with a great story and even some romance. Mya O’Malley is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine and I’m always excited when a new book comes out and this book did not disappoint! This story has some ties to “Lillie”, another Mya O’Malley gem and I love that she does those little story touches for the people who have read a lot of her other books! If you like romance and a bit of the paranormal then Mya O’Malley’s books will be right up your alley! I give “The House That Adelia Built” five stars!!
