My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Claimed Royalty was a great 5 star read and book one in the Crowned and Claimed series.
I was pulled right in from the beginning.

We start with Fiora preparing herself for the trials, she is a princess looking forward to her role as Queen. She wants to make her people happy and prove to them she can be a good leader.

Matheas has been with Fiora for years as her protector and trainer. They have grown closer through the years, you can feel the attraction between them, but Matheas knows he can never have her.

You won’t disappoint any man, Fi. Your kiss is like a smooth liquor. It touches in all the right places – Matheas

Matheas really struggled with the monarch trials and suitor phase, jealousy kept rising in him. She had to be courted by four royal men and lets just say it kept things very interesting. There are some blue ball moments and some hot and steamy moments. This was a different genre for me and I loved it. All of the secondary characters were great, Luther grew on my a little as well. Just as we think things are coming together, there is a big twist and we end on a huge cliffhanger. Now I’m impatiently waiting for the next book in the series. Betty Shreffler has once again pulled me in with another great series.
