Dread by Jeff Wade is a fantastic book that will have you utterly captivated right from page 1. This is the kind of book that will have your heart racing and have you feeling like you are right there next to the character.
I found it really intense reading this book because this author does such a good job at creating the image and the feelings the character must be going through. There were times when it honestly felt like I were the one there, trapped, trying to figure out how to escape. There were so many twist and turns as well that you always felt a little unsettled. You never knew what to expect which is part of what I liked about this book so much.
The writing style the author has adopted is perfect for this horror genre. This was a brilliant book. I just wish it could have been a bit longer – although the shortness of the story could be part of what added to the intensity!
