Hoosier Dad by Elizabeth Seckman made me chuckle at the very beginning and managed to continue to do so on and off all the way through, but it also really pulled at my heartstrings.

Rich is a single dad with two daughters with a sizable age difference between the girls, and all I could think about was my daughters and their relationship with their daddy. When Sarah wasn’t making me laugh she was making me mad. She refused to be an adult about a lot of the matters that came up but I will say she stepped up when she had to which did redeem her in my eyes.

Stacey won my heart so many times and her love for Rover just tipped the scales towards her being my favorite and helped me enjoy the book just a little more.

I have not had the pleasure of reading anything by Ms. Seckman before but I do hope I get the opportunity to read her again in the future.
