Virtue & Vice (Spicetopia Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander
My Rating 5 out of 5 stars

This book is steamy, and a perfect follow up to the first book Sugar & Spice. The change in point of view was a surprise to me, but not an unwelcome one.

In this book we read from Moon & Katja’s point of view. Cy and Jolie met this couple while vacationing in Greece. Jolie jokes about making and adult theme park, Moon and Katja are kind of hesitant at first but jump on board.
The couple has their own secrets and problems to sort out, and watching their friendship with Cy and Jolie while working on this new venture is beautiful. The steamy scenes are perfect, but not over the top, we still get so much story and its a perfect balance.

I would highly recommend this book, but I definitely suggest you read the first book, Sugar & Spice, not only is it worth the read, but it gives more story behind this book as well. Phoebe Alexander is an amazing author, I really can’t wait to see what she has in store next!

Devil’s Dilemma: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #4) by Manda Mellett. I love this series and I love Manda Mellett. This is the story of Melissa who has been in a relationship with Skull, a main member of the Colorado Chapter. Melissa is so easy for me to relate to because of her body image and her opinion of men. She doesn’t feel comfortable in her own skin until Skull takes her in. She loves the Family life of the Club and is devastated when Skull doesn’t come home one night. The Club starts searching for him but its like looking for a needle in a haystack. My Life Series : Box Set: Prequel to Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone – Review by Heather Bass

My Life Series: Box Set: Prequel to Brothers of CamelotMy Life Series: Box Set: Prequel to Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series is a prequel to the Camelot Brothers. I absolutely love mafia romance. When I got these books I stopped everything and started to read it. I could not put these books down. These stories tied up all the questions you might have from the Camelot Brothers. This series has three amazing books My Hidden Life, My Tragic Life and My Free Life. I could not help but fall in love these characters as well.

My Hidden Life
Alessandra was born as the Princess to the Canzano Family. She is the daughter of a very powerful man. Alessandra is to be the head of the Family when the time comes. She has to train everyday to make sure that she has the skills to fight. Her Uncle dedicates his life to love her like his own. They have a bond that can never be broken. Alessandra wants to be a normal girl but she quickly realizes that she is not normal. She has to protect her family and friends. Alessandra is on a trip and she sees a handsome guy. She can’t get him out of her mind. Alessandra learns some family secrets that will change her life. Will Alessandra be able to have a normal life or will she just be her father’s puppet?

My Tragic Life
This book picks up where the last one ends. Alessandra is the Princess to the Canzano Family. She is going to the Boss when her father passes it down to her. Alessandra has been training ever since she was six years old. She is now trained to kill and she is even better than some of the men. Alessandra is now a teenager that wants to do teen things but she can’t. She is growing to hate her roll in the family. Alessandra has to be on guard at all times. One day her world is turned upside down. She makes a promise that will change her life but will she be able to do it? Will Alessandra get to live her life or will she stay in the cage her father has her in?
My Free Life
Alessandra is now about to graduate University. She is now in her early twenties and she still loves only one man Greyson. Alessandra has a new roll in the Family she is now the Cappo Donna in Italy. She is now the boss. Alessandra starts to see all her friends find there Ones but she is still under command by her papa. She is so happy for her friends but she now wants the same for herself. After all, she made a promise to her mother that one day she needs to be free. Alessandra starts to put the plan of her escape together but who can she trust? Will Alessandra finally get her freedom or will still be forever a puppet to her father the Cappo?

I absolutely loved this series. It is in my top three mafia romance of all time. This talented author will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. I loved that this story was told in a few different characters point of view. This gives you a better understanding of what that character is really feeling. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.

Devil’s Dilemma: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #4) by Manda Mellett – Review by Lisa Brydalski

Devil's Dilemma (Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #4)Devil’s Dilemma by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Devil’s Dilemma is the fourth book in the Satan’s Devils MC – Colorado Chapter by author Manda Mellett. After Melissa’s boyfriend pulls a disappearing act, she is left with no choice but to lean on his brothers with the Satan’s Devil MC and especially Pyro who has become a good friend to Melissa. From the start Melissa thinks she is less than, her boyfriend leaving doesn’t help this and Pyro and the guys of the club band together to make Melissa feel better about herself. But nothing is what it seems and the club must once again deal with problems they never saw coming.
I think this series just keeps getting better and better! I think Melissa and Pyro are now my favorite characters. I loved the way Pyro supported Melissa with everything and couldn’t love her enough when she needed him. There were points in the story that I would have loved to have reached into the book and shook people but never Melissa and Pyro they were awesome. I look forward to seeing what will happen next…hopefully back to Las Vegas!!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stalking the Stalker by Laura Hawks I the second book in the Valley View Mystery Series. This is a great old fashioned whodunnit type of book that will keep your guessing to the end.
This book grabbed my attention right from the start. It is definitely a little different to what this author normally writes however she has made the transition well. The book was interesting and has a great story. It was full of twists and turns the whole way through and you were kept guessing.
The story was well written with a great pace to it. I enjoyed the variety of characters throughout too. This was a great book and I can’t wait to read more.

Devil’s Dilemma: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #4) by Manda Mellett – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

Devil's Dilemma (Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #4)Devil’s Dilemma by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Devil’s Dilemma is the fourth book in the Colorado Chapter branch of Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC series. As I’ve come to expect from the series, it’s an action-packed romance that’s at times tragic and heart-warming.
Melissa is the protagonist of this one. I was particularly drawn to her because of her love of baking – I read a good chunk of this book while waiting for things in the oven! She’s uncomfortable about her weight and worries about her appearance but grows to trust others and how they see her and overcome some of her anxieties.
The path to a happily ever after is rarely smooth, and for Melissa there are some pretty big twists and turns along the way. It’s a real page-turner, and particularly satisfying as things start making sense.
As well as continuing the story of the Colorado Chapter, Devil’s Dilemma gives us an insight into the Vegas chapter of the MC. I really like how the stories link together, allowing us to catch up with familiar characters and introducing us to new characters who we’ll see developing later. There really is a sense of family and it adds depth and makes you care a lot more about the characters.
For me, this is a four-star read. I’d never read any MC books before I started on this series, and it’s got me hooked! There are various places you could start – perhaps at the beginning of the main Satan’s Devils MC series or in the first Colorado Chapter book. Or, you can jump in here and discover the Satan’s Devils through Melissa’s eyes!

Run from Love (Bowser Belles Book 2) by Teddy Cat Hester – Review by Angela Hayes

Run from Love: A Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary RomanceRun from Love: A Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary Romance by Teddy Cat Hester
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Run From Love: A Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary Romance by Teddy Cat Hester is an easy and fun read. This story is as sweet as cherry pie- with interesting and likeable characters. There is some witty dialog, funny banter, and antics- which made this such a fun read. But, there were times I wanted to knock their heads together in frustration, too.
Even though the story isn’t dramatic or complicated- there was plenty to keep me engaged and entertained.
Scarlett has a rule she sticks to when dating. No relationship goes past six months. She doesn’t do complicated, messy, or awkward. Walking away in the end with no regrets. But her rules are about to be tested- and boundaries pushed, when Nick enters the picture.
If you like a lovely, sweet romance- then this is definitely the book for you!

Thank you, Teddy Cat Hester!

Diamonds & Deception (Karina Cardinal Mystery, #3)Diamonds & Deception by Ellen Butler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Diamonds & Deception by Ellen Butler is the third book in the Karina Cardinal Mystery series. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the series in order. Karina has gotten herself into another scrape but this time with not all on her own. Jillian, her sister, has gotten into some intrigue because of her friend Sadira. This is a fun, thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The location is D.C. and there are Russian Mob, gang members, diamonds and more. I highly recommend this read and bet you won’t want to put it down either.

Matt’s swirly world: Children’s Book Helping Parents Raise Mindful Kids, Understand Tantrums and Relieve Stress, Anxiety by Madeleine Matthews is a book for children and their parents. Matt is having a rough day when it is time to leave the playground. His mom comes up with ways to help him instead of a temper tantrum. This is a good book for parents and children to read together to open up the conversation about getting angry and disappointment. I will reading this to the nieces and nephews to help them understand their feelings.

This is my second book by this author, with the first being book 3 in this series…Still have to go back and grab books 1 and 2 and then will read all 4 back to back. I LOVED this one as much as I loved #3. This author’s writing style has me completely hooked, this book was my first of this holiday season and it made me want to grab as many more as I can 🙂

This was such a sweet story and I read it in one sitting. Ashley escaped her hometown a few years back and moved to Denver to prove to her twin sister and her small town that she really was over her ex. Now she returns to stand next to said sister in her wedding to said ex boyfriend. She knows she’s over him but no one else believes her…Enter Jennings, someone Ashley has history with who agrees to stand in as a love interest so Ashley can once again prove she is perfectly ok with the upcoming wedding. Problem is she wants what her sister has, not who her sister has but as things get complicated with her stand in BF, misunderstandings and trust issues arise, along with issues from the past.

I again absolutely loved this story and there was a scene towards the end that completely took my breath away…I’ve only read two of these and had no problem, so they can be read as stand alones but it has made me want to read them all so Id recommend grabbing them all.

Amazing!!!

The Higher Elevation Box Set includes books one through three of this series.

I will be honest; I had a difficult time with the first part of book one. It felt like it moved slowly and I had a challenge getting into the story. I stuck it out though, and it turned out to be a great read. I loved the period references of the VW and the eight track tapes, lol.

A plus for getting this box set is that you get to binge read it! This series contains all of the things that make a story great-mystery, suspense, danger, romance, and a little sci-fi. It is a great escape for a few hours.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Higher Elevation Series: Books 1-3 by Renee Regent was a very mysterious supernatural read. I would give this three book series a five out of five stars. I found myself starting this series without knowing anything about the series or the author. I was very shortly hooked on the characters, the plot, and the pacing of the story. I loved the variety of characters and their individual stories. Throughout the three book series you meet a lot of people and they are so unique that you can easily separate one voice from another. The story and plot really pull you in, I was in from the first chapter and could not wait to figure out what happened next. The pacing is fantastic and really helped build the story in an addicting. I loved the book set because it made it so easy to just start the next part without having to wait.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The third of the Four Horseman Novels, Hitting the High Notes was every bit as spellbinding as the first two stories in the series. Action packed, with suspense and several little surprises. Our hero in this story is Uriel. He is quite a bit different than his siblings but every bit as lethal. Our heroine is quite a surprise. C.A. King gives us a bit of mystery in this one which makes the story even more riveting. A light romance, easy to read, and well worth your time.

This is the second of the Four Horseman novels and I find myself anxiously anticipating the next two. In this quick little romance poor Ryder never seems to catch a break. One mess after another. He just can’t keep it together. Then the beautiful Gabrielle walks into his life. Will he make a mess of this too? Gabrielle, beautiful, strong and coolly intelligent. Will she take a second look at this poor mess of a guy? Everything is not as it seems, and the mysterious Dante complicates matters immensely. You will need to pick this little novel up and give it a quick read. In Drawing Strength From Words, C. A. King gives us strong characters and a unique little adventure.

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Randall Murphy

This book is full of interesting characters and plot lines. It’s “Undercover Boss” meets Harlequin Romance and “Exit to Eden” with a bit of standing up for employee rights. While that may sound convoluted and twisted, it’s actually pieced together in a way that grabs your interest and has you hoping the right decision is made by Cy and that Jolie forgives him. While this isn’t like most of the romances that I’ve read, it definitely was one that I enjoyed and found myself wondering what the next volume in the series would be about.

Devil's Dilemma (Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #4)Devil’s Dilemma by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Devil’s Dilemma by Manda Mellet is the fourth book in the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter.

Holy cow this book wasn’t what I expected, it was so much better! The story with Melissa, Pyro and Skull was a lot deeper then I realized and I found myself shedding tears a few times during this story.

Melissa deals with so much pain and heartache and it made me feel so bad for her. I wanted to hug her, and try to make her feel better.

What can I say about Pyro? He’s an amazing man and though he is a big burly biker he has a heart of gold and he shows Melissa and us that several times throughout this book.

I fall in love with this series and the guys in Colorado a little more with each book and I’m so looking forward to keeping up with them and their lives.

Run from Love: A Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary RomanceRun from Love: A Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary Romance by Teddy Cat Hester
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Run From Love is a Bowser Belles book by Teddy Cat Hester. It is the second book in the collection, but the first I have read. It can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone book. I would love to read about the other supporting characters from the book, but don’t feel like I missed anything by starting with book 2. It is a quick romantic book about Scarlett and Nick. Scarlett has a 6 month rule for dating, she cuts them loose at the 6 month point. She makes that clear from the beginning, so the guys know what they are getting into. Nick is no exception. He knew he was on a time limit, but thought he could charm his way into buying more time.
The two are complete opposites in every aspect, but it makes them work. Scarlett wears bright colored clothes, dyes her hair wild colors on a rotating basis, loves her dogs, and puts on skits at elementary schools for a living. Nick is commonly seen in dark suits, and works at a prestigious firm where he is trying to make partner. He has a son, and wants a family again. Can the spark between them be enough to make Scarlett break her own rules? Can Nick charm his way into Scarlett’s life for the long term? Read to find out! Its a quick fun book, you won’t regret it.

CLAIMING THE COWBOY FOR CHRISTMAS is Book 4 in “The Hills of Texas” series and can absolutely be read as a stand-alone .

This is a quick and easy read. There is a teeny bit of angst and some really sweet moments. It is a story of forgiveness and second chances. Told in first person with dual POV this story moves at a good pace and is very holiday centered.

I enjoyed this story and the other books on the series.

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Michelle King

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1)Wayward by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Billionaire Bodyguards series is a spin off from the Torzial Affair books, only told from the point of view of the Bodyguards that take care of the Billionaires. In this first book, we learn Jay’s story. He is the head of security and set to own his own division of the company. He met Sasha in the Torzial books and was infatuated at first sight! He hasn’t been able to forget her or get her out of his mind. Sasha is a ballerina and at least in my opinion, a bit of a weak and needy individual. She has extremely low self-esteem and doesn’t believe that anyone could possibly want her for more than a night. Even though I didn’t care for her character, I did enjoy the book immensely! There is action and adventure, travels around the world, and sexual tension that cannot be ignored! We learn so much more about not only Jay and Sasha, but others from the Torzial Affair books. It was extremely interesting to see the events we read about in the last series from a different perspective. Great start to a new series!

The three books in this boxed set features interconnected stories with recurring characters. The story is multilayered and had a little bit of everything. Romance, supernatural, friendship and life changing decisions.

I have always enjoyed this author’s tales and I recommend this boxed set.
