Devil’s Dilemma was a great 5 star read and book four in the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter.
Melissa meets Skull one night when she is out with her co-workers. Skull was determined to be with Melissa, he finally got her to go out with him and they had such a great thing going. That is until one night things took a big twist, Skull disappeared and nobody can find him, they come to the conclusion that he must be dead.
In the meantime Melissa is mourning the loss of Skull and another brother steps up to help her. Pyro has liked Melissa since the first day he met her. The more time he spends with her the more he feels for her, but because she belongs to another brother he keeps his hands to himself. Can he continue to keep his hands to himself?
There are some huge twists and turns that really threw me off. I was in shock. With the twist things get turned upside down and throw a heck of a wrench into things. Melissa has some body issues and was surprised when she got the attention she did, overall she is a beautiful woman inside and out. My emotions were all over the place for her, I had some teary eyed moments. I loved Pyro and had my fingers crossed for him. The secondary characters added a great element to the story and were a great support for Melissa as well. The author has done a great job with this story and I can’t wait to read more from her. 1-click and get started today on this great series.

Falling For His Badass by Jessika Klide was a refreshing romantic novel. I loved how easy the novel flowed from beginning to end. I was easily hooked. Lizzy and Brody were excellent main characters and the author did an amazing job on them. They were both easy to relate to and visualize. I loved how Brody seemed to fall head over heels for Lizzy and was patient with her on a few hang ups she had. I also loved how the story plot unfolded. I was laughing at various times with this book. I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down. It is one I had no issues reading in one sitting. I highly recommend it!

PROTECTING HIS HEART is book 2 in the Lawson Family Series and while I think this could absolutely be read as a stand-alone, there are a lot of references made to the Lawson Family as a whole so I think it would be helpful to read book 1 first.
As I prepare to write this review, I realize that this story had no sex and no cursing (if there was any it was minimal enough that I overlooked it). This is the story of family of choice vs family of origin, redemption, forgiveness and love.
This is a quick book. There are some scenes that involve DV which I think could trigger some and was actually surprised that there wasn’t a little bit of a warning. The main characters are two people dealing with demons, some in the past and some in the present. Each is dealing with it in their own way.
I think the way the author navigated a very tough subject was done well. It wasn’t overly glorified and it shows that people do come out the other side with some resiliency, outside help, and the support of good friends.
I look forward to future installments of this series.

Hitting the High Note is the third book in C.A. King’s A Four Horseman Novel. I cannot say enough about the series. C. A. King is one of my favorite authors and she does not disappoint with Hitting the High Note. I would highly recommend reading the first two books. That would give you insight to the series. The characters are fully developed and could see them in the real world, to a point. In this book, Uriel is tasked with not letting the gates of hell open. Uriel cannot imagine how hard this task may actually be. There are twists and turns around every bend. I hope you enjoy this story. I can only hope that Uriel will keep the gate of hell closed.

5 Star Matt’s Swirly World: Children’s Book by Madeleine Matthews ,I read this multiple times to my 18 month old son and my 6 year old nephew and each time my nephew says” his mom did what my mom does” I loved that he connected with a character. As for my son he’s still a bit little but he loves books so he liked the “story” .I love the message this story teaches children. I love, love the illustrations such z beautiful job. I think we can all take away from this story ,We all need to take deep breath and calm ourselves from time to time. I definitely loved that Matt’s mom showed patience as well. I definitely recommend this to anyone with children 3-5 and up.

Drawing Strength From Words is the second novel in the Four Horsemen series by C. A. King. This is my third novel by this author.
Being one of the Horseman is a thankless job for Gabrielle especially when she is portrayed as some sort of brute in history. Begrudgingly she takes a back seat to her brothers, causing her heart to have a shield around it.
Ryder has been moving since his parents were killed, putting through the systems and on the side of the law for crimes he did not do. While he has never felt an attraction to someone before, becomes of the life he leads, that changes when he is thrown in the path of a mysterious beauty.
I wasn’t sure what to make of this novel because it had been a while since I read this series and was a little confused. But the plot pulled me in really quick.
Ryder was an interesting character with a background and history I wasn’t sure how I would be if I was in his shoes. Gabrielle was a strong and fierce woman. I would think she would be considering she has so many brothers. The dynamics and bitterness she had held creating even more of a suspenseful air about her. Wanting to know more about her.
I really enjoyed this story and I am looking forward to the next book. I wonder whose story are we going to read about next.

The Men of Holmby Hills: Chase by Allyson Simonian is the first book in the Holmby Hills Series. This is a quick read that is the perfect way to while away an afternoon. Allyson Simonian is a new author to me and this was quite a nice way to be introduced to her work. Although the story itself I didn’t find to be overly captivating it gave me a great insight in to the type of writing this author favours. I found it easy to connect with the characters and though the story was well developed. I do wish the story had been a full length novel. At times the book felt like it was slightly rushed and would have benefited from a more drawn out story. The characters would have had a greater depth to them. However I definitely enjoyed what I read and was never tempted to put the book down at all. This has certainly piqued my interest in this author and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Hitting The High Note (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 3) by C A King
5 Stars
I have loved the first 2 books of this series and this one follows right along, this could possibly be read as a standalone but I would absolutely not recommend it, there’s too much you would be missing and there is a continuing story happening and building in the background.
This might be my favorite so far and that’s hard to say because the first two were outstanding. I fell head over heels for Uriel, he made me smile often and Bekka had my emotions all over the place..I really liked her best friend and the twists in this book had me on the edge of my seat.
This book has me crazy thinking about what might happen in book four and I can not wait! Not going into any of the storylines as I don’t want to ruin any of the books for someone else but just know one clicking this series is something you will not regret. I love this author, she has made me read books and look forward to books I don’t normally read.
Loved it and can not wait for When The Paint Dries… I am seriously considering reading all of the first 3 over again so I can move right into 4 when the time comes..They are that good!!

Protecting His Heart is the 2nd book in the Lawson Family Series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. This book can be read as a stand-alone, however in my opinion you would enjoy this book more if you read Calling The Curveball first as these characters and the rest of the Lawson Family are introduced there. I just knew that I was going to find this book heartbreaking from the knowledge you gain about the 2 main characters in the first book. Police Officer Ian McCleary was taken in by the Lawson family when it became obvious that his father was physically abusing him. Ian can’t help being drawn to the beautiful Rachel when he suspects that her boyfriend Josh is abusing her, both verbally and physically. I loved the interactions between Ian and Rachel particularly as their feelings towards each other grew. Ian is desperate to get Rachel away from her abusive relationship and does everything in his power to do so. I also loved the interactions with the rest of the family. It was great to see Jamie and Kira again and get an update on their relationship. The more I read of Ben Lawson, I really can’t wait to see what the author has in store for him. I’m thinking it might be an explosive read. This book will take you through just about every emotion possible. If you are like me, you may need to keep some tissues handy – just in case you get something in your eye. I thoroughly recommend this book, it’s definitely worth the 5 stars.

I have never had the pleasure of reading anything from Allyson Simonian prior to Chase: The Men of Holmby Hills. I was a bit unsure of what to expect given that but when I saw the cover I was immediately drawn to the story and needed to know how things would unravel between the covers. I am glad that I picked this up, and I ultimately enjoyed the novel enough to be back for more in the series. I did struggle with a few moments and some character situations that arise. I think for me these were mostly personal past struggles came to light and I was connecting in an uncomfortable way. My only technical issue with the book itself was the way this story was rushed. I could have used more details and some more coping and seeing the characters cope than I feel they were given. It did make it a quick read however and I was able to devour it in a single sitting.
Chase is an actor who on the outside looking in has everything. Money, women, and luxuries most of us only daydream about. Now here is where I would maybe add a small trigger warning…. Someone wants to destroy Chase, mainly his character. I was baffled when I found out who exactly was out to get Chase and there is where I wanted some more details and dialog. The first attack on his character comes in the form of a falls rape claim… told you triggered…
Then we get to meet Carrie. Chase finds her delectable and even more so thinks she will improve his standing as far as his character goes. However, when things start to heat up and more and more pressure is put on Chase, Carrie starts to waiver in her belief that the two are compatible or worth the mess. You will have to find out what happens on your own, but I do recommend it as a quick afternoon read for those rainy days you just want to snuggle in with a book and a hot drink. I am looking forward to seeing where the series will go and book two toutes the story of Aiden.

I fell in love with Necie Navone’s writing while reading the My Life Brothers of Camelot Prequel series. So when I found out that they were being released in gorgeous boxed set to devour in one sitting I just knew I had to scoop it up. This is a wonderful series full of emotion, romance, suspense, and intrigue bound to keep you up well past your bedtime as you read. This is where you want to start if you are going to read The Brothers of Camelot series form Necie Navone as well. I love when authors make books available in the boxed set because not only is it convenient it is a wonderful way to spread the love of a book series you enjoy with your family and friends you think will also love it. Below is my individual reviews for each book that is included in the set. I sure hope you enjoy them as much as I have! Now off to grab The Brothers of Camelot!
My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 1) Necie Navone was a completely new author to me when I first picked up ‘The Only One’ which is the first book in the Brothers of Camelot series that ‘My Hidden Life’ is the prequel to. I would recommend that you read both of these before you jump into the rest of the series. These are the type of books that are going to need to be read in the right order to make sense, but don’t worry it will be worth it! Necie Navone is one wickedly good story weaver!
There is a lot, and I do mean a lot, going on in this book. We get to know all about Alessndra Canzano or more commonly referred to as Aless, in this book. We start off when she is very young but grow right along with her as she comes into age and her role as the next in line to take over the family name and “business”. The thing is… this is not your average family “business”. Not only will her life be at stake but all those that she holds near and dear will be in danger too. Can she keep her life hidden? There really is a lot more layers. From action, violence, even some romance, not a lot but a bit, and I think that there will be more to come in the next installment that we will get with her story. That one is the ‘My Tragic Life’ and it is available so I am planning to go start that one as soon as I finish this review. I can’t wait! Thanks for another great read!
My Tragic Life: Prequel to the Brothers of Camelot: Book Two “My Tragic Life” is the second part of the prequel to the “Brothers of Camelot” series by Necie Navone. I have to say it is a bit of a departure from the a-typical one shot prequel that you are used to seeing for a series. This one gives us an up close personal coming of age story about Alessandra, the ‘Princess’ of the Canzano family. This is setting us up for the Brothers of Camelot. I would HIGHLY recommend that these are all read in order. I will admit that at first, and when I finished the first book, I wasn’t sure if I was a big fan that this was going to be a three part prequel. I really liked the first book in the Brothers Camelot and I kind of just want to get back to those stories. As it is that promises to be a long series in and of itself. But I am playing along and giving it a go. I do believe that I am a bit more of a fan after this one though. This brought all the feels to the table much as the first in the Brothers of Camelot did, and I am glad that I didn’t give up after the first book.
All that said, this one shows us more of Alessandra, this time more as she grew into her teenage years. She still is forced to face things that are more for adults and I wanted to shield her from them. I found myself torn apart as a mother and tearing up several times throughout the story. She has to make a lot of decisions that she should never have to make, but when you are faced with choosing family and keeping them safe or the alternative, you generally are forced to make some very difficult choices. I can’t wait to find out what the next installment will bring, and where we will find Alessandra in the end. Most of all, I want to see a light at the end of the tunnel for her. Thanks for a great and emotional read Ms. Navone!
My Free Life: Prequel to The Brothers of Camelot (My Life Series Book 3) This is the final book in the prequel series to the Brothers Camelot series by Necie Navone. I would HIGHLY recommend that you read these three books in order. You will be so lost if you don’t. I have a hard time keeping up with things from time to time in this story line so I can’t imagine if you haven’t read the previous novels. I also might add that Necie is a very gifted storyteller. She has weaved a wonderful mobster boss story told from a woman’s point of view and done it flawlessly.
In My Free Life we find Aless grown up, well past her numbered age of 20. She has taken on the role of Capo Donna and is doing the best she can with the circumstances life has thrown at her. She is watching those she loves and holds dear enjoy a life full of happiness and freedom to live normally. She craves this so much for herself. She made a promise to one day be free and enjoy those happiness to her mother before she died and she is determined to make that happen. Can she really escape the role life destined her to fulfill though?
This book is fast paced, full of feeling and emotion, and really has a bit of everything in it. I am sad to see the My Life series come to an end but I am also looking forward to diving into the Brothers Camelot now and seeing the stories of the men in the family. I am off to pick up book one right now, The Only One. Thanks for a great prequel series Ms. Navone!

I really enjoy reading about people who escape cults, fiction or non, but Rebel Nicks O’Dey tends to make you feel as if you are reading non-fiction sometimes. These characters’ stories really shine and make you feel so many feels that you can’t help but become invested in them and feel as if they are very tangible and real. I have followed The Fisher Men series from book one and I am glad that I have. These books say they can be read as standalones, and I suppose if you are really just looking for one book but I can promise that this story builds and unfolds in a way that will make so much more sense if you have all the books under your belt. Plus each one has been fabulous and well worth the time spent.
This is the third book in the series, The Fisher Men On The X, and most likely my favorite one yet. Once again we meet ex members of The Seh cult, this time being Becca and Zach. These two are so beautiful together it is almost poetic. Each works hard to build each other back up in order to find their footing in a world that shouldn’t seem so unknown to them. Becca is one back chick that I adored reading and Zach is the type of book boyfriend everyone will be fighting claim over. These two were so much fun to follow and I look forward to getting my hands on book four which promises the story of Morgan. I have a feeling he is going to be a new favorite!

This is the second book in this series and PI Delarosa is back. This is a story full of action, suspense and mystery even some sitting on the edge of your seat page turning. In this installment Delarosa is back on a case. He takes on a case he thinks will just be a typical case until he has to invest his two friends help in solving it. These are a great group of characters that make you feel right there with them. I highly recommend reading this book and the previous one in this series.

A great read about secrecy. Sabine is a Fae living in disguise in the city of Akros. One night, she is tailed and ambushed by a group of men. She is saved by a man who is more than he seems. Sabine seeks to find out the truth of who is hunting herd despite the safety risks, fearful someone knows her identity. As events unravel, powerful forces come into play and the past returns to haunt her. Can you ever turkey stay hidden forever? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Sabine fierce and brave but caring underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the overprotective Dax or the more tender Bane. I lived the visual detail throughout the novel like with the crypt with winding paths and standing stones for a sense of ancient magic and mystery. Or with the bar with the tree with the glass and the vines as beautiful in a deadly place. Or with the kaleidoscope with ti’s bold beautiful colours for a sense of wonder so vivid it’s as if you’re actually there.. I loved how the book drew the reader in at the start with the action and magic in a fantasy world. I also liked the use of suspense as details about the attackers and or Savines past were revealed slowly to keep you reading to find out what happened. A great example of world building with fantatsical beings and creatures living alongside humanity with their own rules and laws and societies and customs. I loved the wide range of creatures like goblins and fae and demons giving the feel of a mixed society full of life and character and wonderfully written. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Devil’s Dilemma: Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #4 by Manda Mellett is a MC romance that is a very emotionally charged story with lots of drama and angst, deception and lies, pain and suffering. Wow what a ride, I absolutely love these books and the men and women in them. Manda has mastered this genre and I never fail to jump when a new book comes my way. I am tired and emotional after reading this and wouldn’t want it any other way. I have become invested in the characters and found myself balling my eyes out. I also only put the book down to work, I found myself saying just one more hour but that quickly turned into three as I turned page after page. It’s really hard to say BUT this may be, just maybe my favourite yet BUT I always say that after finish each one as Manda’s writing of the clubs and situations just calls to me.
Melissa always wondered why someone like him would want someone like her, after her world was turned upside down, she discovers the truth and the hits just keep on coming. But then as if nothing could be worse than what she has gone through something unimaginable happens and fate dealt the final blow, something she thought she would not come back from. But the unlikely family and the support of those around her made her survive, made her fight, made her see that the one thing she needed had always been right there beside her when her world fell apart.

Protecting His Heart: a Lawson Family Novel (Lawson Family Series Book 2) by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is a sweet emotional romance story that will pull on the ol’ heartstrings. The story and the characters have a depth to them that is both broken and loving. There is a lot of power to forgiveness and once achieved it leads to healing. It touches on the darker side of life where one of our characters has a past that continues to haunt him into adulthood. The other has learned there is a better life out there if only to reach out.
Ian has grown up as part of his best friend’s family where he learned what love and happiness is. He feels being a cop helps due to his horrible childhood but hoping to help the one person who needs it the most turns out to be harder than he ever imagined. When he comes face to face with his past he doesn’t know what he should feel.
Rachel wants a happily ever after but knows what she has now is anything but, but how does she get out of the mess she is in now and survive doing so?
The story is well paced and well written and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I highly suggest reading the first book before this one to help your enjoyment of this series. Once again, I was pulled in to Tails and Brodie’s story. Their story is full of page turning twists and turns. They are great characters that kept me engaged until the end. In this installment they are trying to forget their past. Is it even possible to do that or believe that the war is over? Could it be that simple? I highly recommend reading their story to find out what happens next to them.

~ Leslie Garcia ~
Leslie P. García grew up lost among a crowd of six siblings and a menagerie that included more than twenty horses and ponies, uncounted dogs and cats, possums, raccoons—even a lion and monkeys. Then she moved to Texas, fell in love, was disowned—and embarked on her real adventures, raising 4 children, teaching hundreds, and loving 9 grandkids through forty years of marriage. The fabric of that colorful life has always been writing. In A Love Beyond, Leslie celebrates two of her passions—unusual love stories and the ever present chance at redemption in spite of past mistakes. Leslie loves hearing from readers and can be found all over cyber space.
~ Melissa Keir ~
For my wedding in Vegas, my books and computer came with me but there wasn’t enough room for my wedding shoes. It’s all about priorities! As an avid reader, I was probably born with a book in hand. Luckily my mom was also an avid reader, so it was easy to “borrow” her books when my books were finished.
I was reading from an early age about dashing men on horseback riding to the rescue of strong willed and capable women who didn’t really need rescuing. I came to expect that women in fairy tales should have fought their own battles. When I was older, I found Margaret Atwood and realized that women could re-tell history in their own way and I experimented with changing those basic fairy tales.
Fortunately for me, my husband allows me the opportunity to be myself (spend my salary on books) and still takes care of the really important things for me like killing spiders and opening jars. As an elementary teacher, teaching children about the many worlds inside of books is a gift that I’m lucky enough to do for a living. Teaching the next generation to love reading is a lot of fun! Reading the right book can make a new world come alive!
Currently living in the near the South Carolina beaches with my darling husband, princess cat and spoiled dog, I enjoy getting away through a book to many different worlds.
I’d love to hear from you!
~ Debbie Desmarteau ~
I started writing years ago, something I had wanted to do most of my life. Then it all stopped. It took good friends and reassuring encouragement to start again. So glad I did!
When I’m not writing, I get immense pleasure in stocking my shelves with home canned goods. I love to experiment with new recipes using the fresh herbs and veggies I grow. My goal is to publish a cook book someday, with all the different dishes I’ve created and to share my family secrets. Whether it’s about a love inspired romance or cooking, creating a story and sharing it with you is a dream come true.
I would love hearing from you!
~ Stephanie Berget ~
Stephanie Berget was born loving horses, a ranch kid trapped in a city girl’s body. It took her twelve years to convince her parents she needed a horse of her own. She found her way to rodeo when she married her own, hot cowboy. She and the Bronc Rider traveled throughout the Northwest while she ran barrels and her cowboy rode bucking horses. She started writing to put a realistic view of rodeo and ranching into western romance. Stephanie and her husband live on a farm, located along the Oregon/Idaho border. They raise hay, horses and cattle, with the help of Dizzy Dottie, the Border Collie and Cisco, barrel and team roping horse extraordinaire.
~ D’Ann Lindun ~
Falling in love with romance novels the summer before sixth grade, D’Ann Lindun never thought about writing one until many years later when she took a how-to class at her local college. She was hooked! She began writing and never looked back. Fifty manuscripts and numerous awards later, she is an Amazon bestseller! Romance appeals to D’Ann because there’s just something so satisfying about writing a book guaranteed to have a happy ending. Her particular favorites usually feature cowboys and the women who love them.

This book was fantastic! It is the second book in the Colorado Chapter Series and i liked it just as much as the first book, if not more. I read it in one setting because i couldn’t put it down. This story is about Demon and Violet. They were really great MainC’s and i found them very likable. Demon is the son of the former president of the MC and he made a promise that he ends up not carrying out. This ends up bringing huge consequences his way and he isn’t sure how to handle the situation. Violet is an awesome single mother that is on the run. She has loved Demon for a long time but does he see her the same way? Will she always be on the run from her problems or will they eventually catch up to her? And i will they ever be together? I enjoyed this story and i am looking forward to reading more by this author! Happy Reading!

Falling For His Badass by Jessika Klide is a very sexy contemporary romance- there is also military aspect to the story, some drama, sparks, chemistry, secrets, and more. From the very first sentence to the very last this book moves along at a pace that is AWESOME. Each and every situation these two war vets are in takes the reader on such a visual adventure it feels like we are being dangled from a helicopter along with them.
Any story that lets us understand the dog’s language is a five star story for me. Both protagonists are so vital to the tale. They co-exist perfectly.
I feel like I used every interjection I learned from “Schoolhouse Rock” while reading this story. I also really appreciate the author taking the time to address the reader and educate us as to what is real and what is not.
While this can be read as a standalone, I think it would be best to read the series in order.

Finally C.A. King is giving us Uriel’s story in her Hitting the High Note that is the third book in her Four Horsemen series! For the ones who are just now stumbling on the series, you need to read the stories in the order! Also, as a short reference to get your juices flowing, it is an interesting twist on the four horsemen legend – the writer gives us an urban fantasy with drama, adventure, demigods, jealousy, good versus evil, brotherhood, romance … I can keep going for ever! Hitting the High Note is Uriel’s story! He is one of the four horsemen and he is one of the four guarding the gates to hell: “The guardians of the four gates remained faithful to their cause through the ages – seeking out and destroying demons trying to free their forefather from the confines of the hell he had been sentenced to live in. Thousands of years later, a new threat appeared on the horizon…” His ‘person’ is Bekka and she was not so nice to him when they first met (and you need to read the story to find out why). She loves music and she does not like socializing and Uri comes and turns her life upside down … I promise you one heck of a ride where you do not know what might happen next! AND there is one more guardian left!

Devil’s Due is the third book in the Satan’s Devils series by Manda Mellett and I have to say while I have read the others, this one was my favorite. To protect spoilers, I won’t say who this book is about because, you HAVE to read to find out!! After taking off the patch and going Nomad, he never thought that right outside his front door he would save a girl and start a war with those he doesn’t need or want to. But now he must realize with his MC come through and can he make it out alive! THIS BOOK, I could NOT put down and was taken into this amazingly written book from page one and until the end. The story line grabbed me and the characters were strong and so easy to fall in love with. I give this book five stars!
Matt’s Swirly World by Madeleine Matthews is a good resource for parents. Madeleine Matthews did an amazing job coaching parents through some tight situations. The story is for kids but it is a great story for parents and caregivers to try to use other methods to calm the behaviors of the child. This story is a great story to aloud to the child and show the pictures. The story is engaging and the pictures are wonderful and great talking points of what happening to Matt and how to deal with the Matt’s behaviors. I highly recommend this book to everyone and anyone who deals with children.
