Devil's Dilemma (Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #4)Devil’s Dilemma by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Devil’s Dilemma, Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #4) by Manda Mellett is a great addition to her Satan’s Devils series. Manda Mellett is a great author and series writer. Her writing style is descriptive and inviting. She knows how to grab your attention and keep it through the entire book. This story is about Pyro and Melissa’s story. Pyro is in Satan’s Devil biker gang and Melissa is a homemaker. Their story takes many twists and turns. I found that I was turning pages rapidly because I had to know what was next. I went on an emotional roller coaster and loved every minute of it. I highly recommend all of Manda Mellett’s books. I will caution you once you start reading her book you will want to finish it.

5-stars

Draigon Weather (The Legacies of Arnan Book 1) by Paige L. Christie was exciting and adventurous. Cleod and Leiel were excellent main characters in this story. I loved every bit of it. Both characters were developed well and the author provided excellent detail spanning their younger years to the current day. Leiel was smarter than most girls of her time and more brave.

The storyline had an easy flow and each chapter was labeled to aid in the books organization. It is told from two different points of view but not once was I confused. The author made it very easy to keep track of time in accordance to what was occurring in the story. This book was well written and I highly recommend it.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Elemental Fae Academy: Book Two was a great 5 star read and book two in the Elemental Fae Academy series. These two authors together are amazing, you get drawn in right from the beginning and don’t want to stop.

We start right where book one left off. With Exos missing, Claire continues with her training with his brother and learning more about the fae world. We get to learn more about Claire’s mates (5 hot as heck men), they each have their own characteristics and talents. I have my favorites but they all hold a little piece of my heart. They are dedicated to Claire and will protect her with all they have.

Will Claire be able to find Exos and defeat the evil?

There is so much going on, action, mystery, romance and so much more. We get six POV’s but it was fairly easy to follow, it was great seeing how everyone was thinking. We get some steamy moments and unexpected twist and turns. Be prepared for a shocking ending that will leave you wanting more, fingers crossed book three comes out fairly quick. I look forward to the final book in this trilogy. 1-click and get started today you will love it.

Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC is the second book on the Colorado Chapter by Manda Mellett. Demon has taken over as President as his father wants to take some steps back and before long Violet comes back, the little girl who used to follow him everywhere. And of course trouble still follows Violet, and the clubs are there to protect their own!
The author has such a way of grabbing you with her story lines, and this one did NOT disappoint. The characters are strong, the story line powerful, which makes any reader lost in a story. I love this author and I love her series. I cannot wait to read more and more. I highly recommend this five star read!

Devil's Dilemma (Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #4)Devil’s Dilemma by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another wonderfully written story by Manda Mellett. She had my emotions on a giant roller coaster! I love how brings these characters to life with her words! I feel with them, cry with them and laugh with them. As I’m sitting reading this my husband wants to know what is making me smile? This book! These characters! They are so enjoyable.

I hated but loved how these two came together. They had trials and tribulations but weathered it all. I LOVED how i could *feel* Pyro’s affection and love for Mel. It was just coming off the pages time fire time. That Epilogue?!?! So perfect! Mel’s role was tragic and she handled it like a champ. It’s nice to see female characters with insecurity and body issues that “real” women have.

I enjoyed getting to go to Las Vegas and meet A lot of the crew. Plus more insight into the Pueblo boys. I look forward to so many more of these. I did read up about the next book and I wonder what that Beth has done?

Also thank you to Manda Mellett for the reading order in the back! As well as the characters list in the front.

To Kill a Fae (The Dragon Portal Series, #1)To Kill a Fae by Jamie A. Waters
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

To Kill A Fae by Jamie A. Waters is the first book in the Dragon Portal series. This book is exciting and fast paced and will leave you desperate to read the next book in the series.
This is a new author to me and yet when I read the description of this book I just knew that I had to give them a go. It was intriguing enough to draw me in before I had even opened to the first page. The story lived up to this expectation as well. I was enthralled immediately. Sabine is fantastic. I loved reading all about her – her journey, her powers, running for her life. There isn’t a single bit that I didn’t want to know.
The way the author builds up the plot is amazing. She knew the exact right moment to give you that bit of information and when to leave you trying to figure things out. The book was exciting and so well written. I definitely cannot wait for the next in the series.

This author has the ability to pull me into her story and make it realistic. It is well written story that I had a hard time putting down until the last page. Her characters are well develped, connectable and full of heart. This story has a little bit of everything from emotions to action to some suspense. This is a journey with an ex SEAL and archologist who run into bad guys and don’t forget to add the romance. Engaging story that I highly recommend, my favorite yet.

This author has caught my attention from the first book I have read of hers. I never hesitate to pick up her books, she didn’t let me down in this one either. The story line is fun, easy, and engaging. Her characters are connectable and made the story realistic. They bring steam and fun to the story. Lizzy is a little shy with relationships and goes for safe guys. She goes on a trip where she meets Brody, not her typical guy. Will she find herself falling for him? This is a must read.

Pieces Of A Lie by Rowena Holloway – Review by Liz Vrchota

Pieces of a LiePieces of a Lie by Rowena Holloway
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been an avid fan of Rowena Holloway since picking up her Ashes to Ashes series and I never looked back just for more good books by her. Pieces Of A Lie was actually Rowena Holloway’s debut novel, and upon finding that out I was even more impressed with her writing skills that seem to never fail to take me away on a whirlwind of an adventure that I will never forget taking. This book did not deviate from that and had I not done some extra reading I would have never known this was a first. It is written eloquently and with a pace that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat trying to guess what will come next and how things will eventually come to be in the end.

I loved that this was set in Australia, also Rowena’s native country and so it was literally like being on a vacation while reading. The dialog reflects perfectly the setting and makes you feel very submersed in the whole ordeal. Mina and Linc take one heck of an adventure together with so many twists and turns that you will be hooked from the very beginning till the end in one sitting. I know I was and I look forward to seeing what else is out there as well as what will come from the ever talented Rowena Holloway.

Love this club and this group of characters. Love this author and how she writes. Action packed, violent, sexy, twisted. Just a few of my favorite things!

The characters and story line follows the first book in this Colorado Series and should be read in order. There are many characters, some are minor and only play minor parts in this story, but have the possibility of becoming more.

Vi and Demon are friends thanks to Vi’s brother Nathan. But without Nathan is there something
more? Demon’s first big test as Prez brings about many changes. Vi also has to face some changes. And the twists that come about with Theo and Demon oh my!

“It really doesn’t matter what his parentage is, it’s all down to how we raise him.”

I wish all people could take this to heart. Life is tough enough.

Definitely recommend this book and this series!

Elemental Fae Academy Book 2 by Lexi C Foss and J.R Thorn was a magical steamy read. I would give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. As the second book in the series this book starts right where the first one ends. I really enjoyed the transition of the different point of views. The plot thickens and you can feel the tension and growth as the story develops. The characters come to life and you really find yourself pulled into the story. I felt the book come alive like a movie behind my eyes; the passion, the plot, and the pace just flowing from chapter to chapter.

Battling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother Romance by T. Christensen – Review by Karyn Taylor

Battling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother RomanceBattling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother Romance by T. Christensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Battling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother Romance is a great enemies to lovers & step brother/sister romance novel from T. Christensen. I had never read anything by this author before but these are 2 tropes that I enjoy reading so decided to take the plunge. I’m so glad that I took a chance on this book as I thoroughly enjoyed it.
17 year old Greer and her mum have just moved into her mum’s new fiance’s mansion. Her soon-to-be step brother Beckett does not like this one little bit as his dad has always told him to be wary of gold digging women. He certainly does not want Greer at his posh private school, so decides to make her life hell.
I absolutely adored Greer as I see so much of myself in her. I have to admit that for a big chunk of this book I really did not like Beckett although he grew on me and became more likeable. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Greer and Beckett, both trying to deny their growing feelings for each other. As well as the two main characters this book has some really great secondary characters who add a lot to the story. My favourite of these was Beckett’s father, with the way that he did so much to make Greer feel part of the family.
Although set in a high school this book has adult content, so may not be suitable for younger teens. I would definitely recommend this book for more mature readers.

Chicken Scratch is the first book in The Sister, Texas Mystery series by Becki Willis. It is such a great cosy mystery- and also my introduction to Ms. Willis’ work. I really enjoyed this story, it was such a fun read- well woven, with a fantastic plot, a great pace, interesting and quirky characters, well-developed suspense, originality, lively action and antics, and witty humour.
Madison Reynolds returns to her hometown after losing everything. Her husband. Their business. Her home. Her friends. And her savings. She had nowhere else to turn, so she packed up her twins and moved in with her 80 year old grandmother- till she can get back on her feet. She decides to start a temp business- doing whatever she needs to pay the bills. Her first real job involves working at a poultry farm, not her ideal choice of work- but beggars can’t be choosers. Her first day was going quite well- till she discovers a dead body. The body of the man who hired her. And so, this story begins. When it’s discovered that the man had been murdered, an arrest is made. But then Madison gets an unexpected call from the accused man’s mother, pleading with Madison to investigate the murder and clear her sons name. Maddy knows she’s no PI, but she can’t afford to be turning away paying jobs- so she agrees. What happens when someone seems to have it out for Maddy? Is she getting too close to the truth? Secrets Never DieSecrets Never Die by Laurie L.C. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Laurie Lewis has written a masterpiece of suspense and intrigue that keeps you glued to the pages from beginning to end! It keeps your mind spinning with guesses of what is going to happen next and how everything will eventually piece together. It is a complicated plot that will have you a bit frustrated at times because you will want to solve the mystery so badly! I kept wanting to skip to the end and find out how it all works out! But every page is definitely worth the read!

Tallie Brown was raised by a mother who never showed her much love. Or she did in her own way, by raising Tallie to be smart, always aware of her surroundings, and cautious of everyone. They moved around constantly with no explanation until they finally settled in a park ranger station for the past seven years. When Tallie’s mom suddenly dies, Tallie finds secrets hidden within her mother’s belongings that lead her on a dangerous journey to find out her true past. She ends up in a small coal town in West Virginia (the state I live in so this made the story that much more intriguing to me!) where she finds resistance from the towners and where she meets Jackson, a journalist who is also an outsider in town looking for information of his own.

When Tallie and Jackson’s paths cross, they are wary of each other at first but determine they could both use a friend and decide to team up and help each find the information they are looking for. The result is a journey of twists and turns that will keep you up all night in anticipation of what will be revealed next! Five stars from me for Secrets Never Die! So dive in and plan for a sleepless night!

Battling Beckett stands by itself in comparison. Beckett lives with his dad and they are very comfortable. All his life his dad has always told him to becareful because women will be after him because of his money. Beckett goes to an elite high school, he’s the most popular guy in school and the quarterback to top it off. Before Beckett knows what’s happening, his dad is engaged and his fiancé Vivian and her teenager daughter Greer are moving in. Beckett keeps his eye on them and doesn’t really give them the time of day because he thinks they are out to get their money.
Beckett is expected to be nice to Greer and help her along. She sticks out at her new high school like a sore thumb. She is very uncomfortable there. Once everyone knows she knows Beckett, she watched even more by her classmates. Beckett’s team members seem to be smitten with Greer and Beckett doesn’t like it one bit.
Greer is attacked in the bathroom one day and as soon as Beckett hears about it, he changes his toon and tries to protect Greer any chance he can. That only brings more attention to Greer and whomever is out to get her gets even more angry because she wants Beckett for herself.
This book had the reader feeling a lot of different things. I disliked the way Beckett behaved in the beginning but as the book went on I loved him. He is an honest stand up guy and will do anything for this he cares for. Greer and her mom Vivian are very stubborn and work for just about everything they have and refuse handouts. I felt horrible for all the torture Greer endured because of Beckett. I cannot wait to read more from this author. 5 stars isn’t enough for this book.

Ailey of Skye by Wendy Hewlett – Review by Michelle Austin

Ailey of SkyeAiley of Skye by Wendy Hewlett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ailey of Skye was a great 5 star read.

Aileen is traveling to Scotland, her grandmother left her money and her house. Aileen is looking to get away for awhile and possibly sell the house. Although, when she shows up at the house she is surprised to see a man already living there. When she finds out who the man is she is shocked, and that’s not the only shocking news that she will get.

Aileen is a recovering addict and has had a not so great experience in life. As she learns more about her family, she is going through many different emotions. As the story moves forward we find out that danger lurks in the shadows. Why did her father make the choices he did?

Can Aileen get past the demons and dangers and finally get the life she truly deserves?
Can her family keep her safe?

There is so much more to this read. All of the characters were great. My emotions were all over the place, I had some teary eyed moments. There are some scenes that could be sensitive for some. Wendy does a great job with her writing and you can’t wait to see what’s coming next. The Scottish language in the book made me think of The Outlander. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.

Battling Beckett ( A Contemporary Step Brother Romance) by T. Christensen – Review by Heather Bass

Battling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother RomanceBattling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother Romance by T. Christensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read from this author and I loved every minute. I love a good enemies to lovers book and this talented author exceeded all my expectations. When I got this book I couldn’t put it down. I felt like I was back in high school all over again. It only took my a few hours to devour his amazing story.

Greer’s life changes in so many ways her senior year of high school. She was loving school but when her mom fell in love with one of the wealthiest lawyers of their town it all changed. Greer now lives in a beautiful home with a new family. She also has to go to a new school with her new soon to be step-brother. Beckett is a football god and he can have any girl he wants. He is a jerk to Greer in the beginning. She doesn’t understand why she is drawn to him. Greer sees the good in him but is it all for show? When danger threatens her will Beckett protect her or will he watch from the side lines?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, suspense, and forgiveness. You can’t help but fall in love with these characters. Greer is a beautiful young lady inside and out. She wants to see her mother happy no matter how miserable she is. Beckett loves football. He is very arrogant in the beginning due to his past but he has a good side to him. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. I loved that this book was in both characters points of view. It gives you a better understanding on how they really feel. This author will keep you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what she will write about next.
