Call of the Alpha by Brooke May is the second book in the Powder River Pack series. The only way to describe this book is simply amazing. I enjoyed the first book in the series so knew this one should be good. However I never expected it to blow all expectations out of the water. Rylie and Mason have become two of my favourites characters ever. The force of their connection was palpable! There wasn’t a second I was reading about them where I couldn’t feel it! I have read a few books by this author now and hands down this is my favourite one so far – I honestly don’t know how she will ever manage to top this although I will definitely be willing to read more of her work to see if she can. I would highly recommend this book!!

Call of the Alpha (Powder River Pack Book 2) by Brooke May is a great addition to the paranormal romance series. With werewolves and love, action and bitterness, heartache and pain, passion and more. I really enjoyed this story and love the characters that Brooke has given us. They are well developed and interesting and worm their way into your heart. There are also times where you find yourself laughing out loud. Rylie is about to start her new job and can’t wait. Convinced by her bestie to celebrate they find themselves meeting much more than they bargained for. Mason has one thing in his life he loves more than anything and is content with life. One night at work he finds the one thing that will make his life complete, but will she accept is true self and his son? If you love paranormal romances then you will need to grab a copy and enjoy.

I’ve read books by Brooke May before, this being the second one I have read from the Powder River Pack Series. I was once again completely captivated and hooked by this author’s amazing read!
I love a good supernatural romance read, especially when it involves Werewolves. This author most definitely has a way with words she has once again created an amazing read with a brilliant storyline and some incredible characters.
Rylie & Mason have a quick deep meaningful connection that develops straight away. But everything about it is real! It’s a connection that anyone would wish for. Throughout the whole read, I was rooting for these two to get a HEA and hoped that nothing would get in their way they were just perfect for each other. I loved getting introduced to new characters and revisiting old one but my favourite has got to be Archer, he pulled at my heart the whole way through this read! I loved that this read was written in dual POV’s it really gives us a better insight into the characters thoughts and feelings and makes me love them even more!
I cannot wait for book 3, I can’t wait to see who’s story we following next, I’ll eagerly be waiting for more from this series and this amazing author!

This story is impressive! It surpasses the first book by a lot. The author has made interesting and relatable characters. The story moves along and easily kept my interest. I loved it! I loved Rylie’s job and the element of danger it brings, the protectiveness and sneakiness of Mason as well as the playfulness of the story.
The connection between Mason and Rylie was *felt* and at times coming off the pages at me. Well done! Even the relationship between Archer and Mason was great to watch/read them together. I could really feel the vibe they were putting out!
All the characters were wonderful. The pack together at the bar was fun. The bond between brothers(Mason and Miles)or Carter and Rylie was great. The teasing and being there for each other was perfect. Archer at times seemed a bit old for his age but I guess he is future alpha so maybe that’s expected.
This is the second book in this series. I really enjoyed this one and could hardly put it down. I am glad I gave it a shot. This can be read as a stand alone. I look forward to more from this author and from this pack.

A Sun So Bright by K.G. Fletcher is the third book in the Reigning Hearts series. The great thing is this can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I was drawn in by the cover and had not read the synopsis so when I started reading I was unpleasantly surprised to meet the character, Fiona. I really wanted to dislike this character because of her being rich and snapping her fingers to get what she wants. Let me explain, don’t give up because she proved me wrong. She is a good character who is deeper than I expected so she surprised me. I wanted to see where this arrangement with Chris would lead and hoped for a happy ending. Overall, I enjoyed this book and want to go back and catch some of the others in the series.

Mountains Wanted is the first book in what looks like being yet another awesome series by Phoebe Alexander. Phoebe Alexander is now an author that I jump at the chance of reading. I have previously read the Eastern Shores Swingers Series and the Spicetopia Series and both series are among my favourites. Having now read Mountains Wanted I can predict that this series will no doubt be among my favourites. Dr Sarah Lynde is a sociology professor, mother of 2, who loves sex. Not just sex with one person, she is polyamorous. So she’s quite happy when gorgeous Sergeant James McAllister comes into her life and into her bed. He could be deployed at any time so let’s just have fun while we can. Well, both of them thought that, until they spent more and more time together and their feelings grew deeper. This has to be the most angsty book that I have ever read from Phoebe Alexander. Sarah is so conflicted over her growing feeling for James and constantly pushes him away. There were so many occasions that I really wanted to bang their heads together, or scream at the author, to get those 2 to see what was in front of them. Although Sarah was also having a relationship with Pawel, you could just tell that James meant so much more to her. This new series is in 8 parts and books 1-3 give us James and Sarah’s story so I knew that their story was not going to be complete by the end of this book but I was still not prepared for it to end (silly, I know). Thankfully I already have the 2nd book in my kindle waiting for me, so I can read more of Sarah and James’ story. I really can’t wait to see what Phoebe Alexander has in store for these 2.

I have followed and loved Mark Nolan’s thrillers with suspenseful twists in the past so I was super excited when I saw the first three books in a gripping new series was to set to release soon. I scooped it up and fell in love with the adventure and drama that is never in a shortage with these novels.
Book #1: Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie: This novel kicks off a new Jake Wolfe series from Mark Nolan. I loved how this book literally hits you in the face with action from the very beginning and keeps you on the edge of your seat until that very last chapter. I felt like I got so much with this novel and I am super excited that there will be more to come in the series with these characters.
This starts off with Jake Wolfe, a military vet who is working as a photojournalist in the prime of his days. At the moment he is following a hot lead on a story that will thrust him into the life of a high ranking lawyer. His goal is to simply dig up some details for his story and instead witnesses the lawyers murder! From there the ride is wild and full of twists and turns that are completely unpredictable. I can’t wait to get my hands on book two!
Book #2: Vigilante Assassin:
This was such a jam packed and gripping read. Continuing the tales of Jake Wolfe in book two Vigilante Assassin, we find Jake hired to protect a mother whose husband goes missing, Lauren Stephens. Turns out the secrets her husband was hiding were a lot more volatile than she could have ever imagined and the lives of her and her children become greatly endangered. Things take turns that you won’t be able to predict and you will find yourself so immersed that the ending is before you know it and well past the bedtime you had hoped for. I can’t wait to see what will come about for Jake Wolfe in the next installment!
Book #3: Killer Lawyer:
Yes! This book was everything I had hoped it would be and then some! In Killer Lawyer we find the continuing story of Jake Wolfe and more of his dog Cody. Jake now has his law degree and is living his best life on a yacht. A case that will bring him into the direct path of a psycho serial killer that is ravaging the streets of San Francisco, takes you on a wild ride from the very beginning until the last page. I couldn’t figure this one out and I love when a book can do that for me! I sincerely can’t wait to read what will happen next!

Why do werewolves intrigue me? Couldn’t say. Animal magnetism? Always so much intense heat and passion? All of the above? But boy do I love a good pack story. And this one – yes please!!!! The story flew off the pages and made my mind race. It flowed easily and I dove head first into the storyline to walk alongside these amazing characters. I’m so excited to read more from May and am just as thrilled to learn of the series that will continue to feed my pack addiction. Loved it!

Call of the Alpha is the second book in the Powder River Pack series by Brooke May. Brooke May’s attention to detail draws me in from the very first page. Her characters are amazingly close to real that I would want to belong to the pack. This story is about Mason and Rylie. Their story has lots of ups and downs, twists and turns, and a bond that makes a regular relationship boring. Rylie is moving back to her hometown. She comes back career focused biologist. Somehow that changes when she meets Mason for the first time. Mason is the pack leader and once he finds someone he wants a mate he goes and gets them. Will there be a relationship between Rylie and Mason? Will there be trouble for Mason and Rylie? You will have to read the story to see for yourself.

Call of the Alpha (Powder River Pack Book 2) by Brooke May
5-Stars
Call of the Alpha (Powder River Pack Book 2) by Brooke May was an excellent 5 star read. Family, love, romance, secrets, and steamy scenes made for an addictive read. I was hooked from page one. This book is part of an amazing series but can be read as a standalone. I love all the characters but favored the mains Mason, Rylie, and precious Archer. They were realistic, relatable, and developed well. The story had excellent flow and was organized. I loved Mason’s personality as well as Rylie’s. I loved that she was a tomboy and also how much she loved being outdoors. This was an amazing novel and I highly recommend it!

Mountains Climbed (Mountains Series #2) By Phoebe Alexander 5 out of 5 stars
The story Mountains Climbed (Mountains Series #2) by Phoebe Alexander is the next amazing book in the continuing story of Lt. James McAllister and Dr. Sarah Lynde. It is a story that I couldn’t wait to read and found myself lost in the story once I started. Sarah is a woman who is moving on. She has found a new man in her life. That doesn’t stop her from thinking about James. Is Garrett Stone the distraction that Sarah needs? James is far from home and can’t seem to get Sarah out of his mind. As time moves forward why does it seem as if he can’t get seeing her once he is home out of his head? What does the future hold for Sarah and James? Will they both find a way to move on and label themselves as friends or will their feelings for each other be too hard to ignore? Read this book to find out. I love Sarah as she is a woman who is open about who she is and her belief system. She is strong, independent, and stubborn. She wants the same openness from a partner. As time moves on will James and Sarah find out that there are no more mountains that they will climb together? This book will have your emotions going up and down the entire time reading. I know mine was. I found myself wanting Sarah and James to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that appear in the story. Many of them are from the first book and I enjoyed reading about them as they interact with James and Sarah. Don’t miss out on the next story in an amazing series that you won’t want to put down until you have finished the final page. Highly recommended.

Call of the Alpha (Powder River Pack Book 2) By Brooke May 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading this book. Call of the Alpha (Powder River Pack Book 2) by Brooke May is a story that will pull you in from the beginning and doesn’t let you go until the final page. I love reading about werewolves and this book had me reading far into the night to finish. I love the characters of Rylie Press and Mason Fischer. Rylie is a woman who is intelligent, independent, and strong. She is a biologist who loves the outdoors. If only she could understand the feelings that she has when around Mason. Mason is alpha of the Powder River Pack. He is also a single dad. He knows that Rylie is his fate when he sees her in his bar. There is out of this world chemistry between Rylie and Mason. What will happen if she finds out all of Mason’s secrets? Will she be accepting and understanding about his kind? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. The heat between Rylie and Mason is off the charts. I grew to care about what happens to Rylie and Mason with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. There are other characters that I enjoyed reading about who are family and friends of Mason and Rylie. There are moments that are touching and others that will have you wondering what is going to happen next. This is a story that I would highly recommend reading.

I loved this book. This author has continued to impress me with her writing skills and her ability to pull me into her books right from the beginning. This book is no different. I was pulled into a world where shifter meets human. Rylie and Mason are great characters with great chemistry that made the story more enjoyable to read. What happens when your mate appears and you are not expecting it? Mason will do anything to make Rylie his but the problem is, he has a past with secrets. Will Rylie accept fate or will the secrets push her away? I highly recommend their story, it is a must read. You won’t regret picking it up, I didn’t.

This author has been one of my favorites since I picked up my first book by her. Her stories are creative, well written and engaging and this book is no different. In this book we get to see Dr. Sarah and Lt. James story continue. We get to meet Garret who throws a twist into their relationship. As Dr. Sarah tries to move on with her life will Garret be enough or will she go back to James when he gets home? They are great characters with great chemistry. They make the story come alive and made me feel as if I was part of the story with them. I highly recommend this book, it is a must read.

Taming Zane (Almost Perfect Series Book 2) by Lisa Lanay
5 +++++ Stars
Loved this so so much!! I think the only thing I’m upset about is I don’t know who is getting the next book and it’s driving me crazy LOL
I love this series, I love how this author can make you believe these could be predictable kind of stories (which I love also) but then actually has you believing that there’s no way to fix the hurdles between these characters and there will be no happily ever after. I love that things happen in these stories that feel so real. I was actually feeling the anxiety that Shannon was feeling at the start of this book, being in a strange city, knowing no one and needing help would have broken me. Not sure I would have had the guts to make the phone call she made, but so thankful she did because it was the start of one of the best stories, I cracked up during the kitchen scene at the beginning..That would have so been me!
I loved Shannon’s family dynamic, it made me smile and LOL more than once and it was so awesome to check back in with Jake and Kimberly. I can not pick a favorite of the two books so far..I enjoyed both of them equally and can’t wait for more. I love how smoothly these books flow and before I knew it I was done, left wanting so much more. I can definitely see myself reading these again.

A Sun So Bright is the third book in the Reigning Hearts series. This is the first book I’ve read in this series and I had no trouble following the story.
This is a reverse millionaire arrangement/fake relationship type of tale. Most of the time you see men in the wealthy position, but this time it’s Fiona. She’s a character you love to hate, at first. Thankfully, Chris (who is freaking hot) can look past appearances. As you follow their journey, you’re going to be taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. You’ll probably want the tissues close by, lol.
Definitely worth the read. (Just not in public if you don’t want to have to explain why you’re crying, lol).

A Sun So Bright (Reigning Hearts Book Three) by K.G Fletcher 5 Stars
Every time I read a book by K.G Fletcher, my emotions go through the wringer. This author has a special talent of drawing you into her stories and getting you personally attached to her characters. This book was amazing! It didn’t matter that it was book three in the Reigning Hearts series. It can be read as a stand-alone because I never got lost. I adored Chris Ballard and even though I wasn’t impressed with Fiona, she quickly grew on me. I was right there with them through their ups and downs. I was crying my heart out and emotionally exhausted by the end. I’ve never been disappointed after reading a book by Ms. Fletcher. I definitely have to read the first two books in this series.

Such a sweet, sexy, and drama filled story! I really enjoyed reading the drama that came along with Jax, his new found daughter Lola and his ex Darcy. I was nervous that Darcy was going to be and even bigger witch than she already was, and I was disappointed I didn’t get to see a real resolution to the character of Mitch. It seems like Jax and Arianna do this dance with each other around their feelings and level of attraction to each other until finally it happens. Then some hearts break, and I can fully understand why, but communication is always the best policy! The secondary characters that make up a part of the group Ari and Jax hang out with, were fun to read about and brought some comedy into the mix. I would definitely recommend giving this book a read!

This book is a love story filled with excitement and intrigue. It brings you into other realms of reality and fantasy. This story goes on a wild ride with a mystery of what happens next. The cat and mouse game Ink and Beth play keep the reader tuned in for more. You find yourself wanting the best for both characters as Ink is putting himself in a fight for the life he knows it as he’s in jail. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I really enjoyed reading this book. M.J. Masucci does a wonderful job of describing the characters but also the scenes so it makes it so easy to completely immerse yourself in the story. We started the journey with Lexi finding out she was going to be working for her ex fiance. There’s a lot of internal struggle from Lexi as she faces new tasks and challenges she’s faced with balancing her new job working as well as a soon to be husband. This juicy read comes with a plot twist in the end that I did not see coming but I love how the book ended and set itself up for the possibility of a second. I would definitely recommend this book to read and I look forward to the second one to come!

The Runaround is the long awaited (at least by me!) sixth book in Sylvie Stewart’s Carolina Connections series. I am sure you are thinking she must have read all the books in the series and YOU ARE RIGHT! I absolutely love the series and though one could say that you can read all the books as standalone then I will tell you “Read the in order so that you get every minor reference and you know every single person you meet in the story!”. The Runaround gives us Ari and Jax and if you have read the rest of the series then you have met them before and like me you are gleefully sitting at the edge of your seat and ready to hit the road with them! These two make you laugh so hard you almost pee your panties, and they make you roll your eyes and then it gets way too hot and you need to turn up your AC! I love the way the writer makes us feel so close to the characters to you feel invested in the like you would with your best friends and yes, it might feel a bit too flirty with those two and you might not like that they hide their relationship from the rest of the gang, you will still keep your fingers crossed and hope for a happy ending as their story is like a rolling ocean that you cannot escape from! I truly hope that this is not the end as I am sure there are many more Carolina Connection stories hiding in Sylvie Stewart’s imagination!

This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It is an engaging romance story that took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I was pulled in to the story right from the beginning and kept engaged until the end. The characters are strong, independent, and supportive and they made me feel as if I was part of the story. Ivy is a woman who has lost her husband and has gained a summer house along with the secrets it keeps. Will she keep it or sell it? Will she renew an old crush? This is a sweet romance story that I highly recommend.

The Runaround is the story of Ari and Jax. Ari has a dream of one day running her own website design business. While building up that business, she is also a receptionist and karaoke deejay. She designed the website for Jax’s company about a year ago. During the time she was working with him, they shared some flirty banter that she was hoping could lead to something…until he ghosted her. He shows up months later at the bar where she runs karaoke to ask her for help with singing lessons. However, the lessons are not for him…instead, they are for his teenage daughter that she knew nothing about.
Turns out, Jax just learned about a year ago that he has a teenage daughter. Their relationship is icy (at best). When his daughter’s mom brings up singing lessons, Jax knows just who to ask. Ari has an amazing voice and knows she will be the best person for the job. Quickly their flirtatious banter starts up again. However, Jax realizes that he must keep both his and his daughter’s feelings in mind when it comes to Ari. His daughter has been hurt by his mother’s past relationship and Jax does not want to bring someone else into his life that could lead to more hurt for his daughter.
This story is a back and forth between what the heart wants and what Ari and Jax think is best for protecting their hearts. I found myself wanting to slap the characters when they did something stupid…but wanting to hug them when they got it right. The supporting characters were interesting, and I want to go back and read their stories. It looks like some will be getting their own books in the future, so I will probably check those out as well. This is the first book I have read in the Carolina Connections series…but it will not be the last!

The Runaround was so good! I laughed, I cried, I wanted to punch Jax or shake some sense into him several times! I could hardly put this book down! It was so well written, I felt like I was right there in the story with them. Super heartfelt, Sylvie Stewart did a great job showing what true love feels like. I highly recommend, this book would be a great read with a nice bottle of wine!

REBOUND is the fourth book in the Rewind series by Rowan Shaw.
Noah’s life is turned upside down when his long time boyfriend Hugo ends their ten year relationship. Thankfully Noah has his friendship with Adrien and with the help of his friend he starts putting his life back together.
I love who Noah ended up with and think they make a perfect couple and I don’t know where to start with my joy over this new couple.
I found myself getting very emotional during the book and think its because I get so attached to the characters I love and this is a group I’m totally in love with and I think of the reason is because they aren’t what society would consider normal, but the depth of love they each have for their partner is beautiful. If only all couples were so loving to one another.
I’m hoping this is a series that doesn’t end any time soon.

Broken by Love written by M.J. Masucci is the first book by this author that I have read. I really enjoyed reading this book so much that I read this in one sitting… (Thank goodness it was a Sunday, so I didn’t have to do anything) LOL. So, the characters are great and well written I enjoyed the plot even if it was frustrating at times was great and different. I wanted to strangle Lexi, JC, and Noah. I loved the quirkiness of the characters. This is a second chances romance, with drama, love, betrayal, angst, forgiveness, and a few twists.
It seems Lexi has a hard time keeping fiancés… Everything is going great with her now fiancés Noah when she finds out the new boss is her ex JC. Things seem to unravel as she works with JC and she finds out the Noah is keeping secrets. She doesn’t have to worry about Noah he is her present and future he is her rock she can trust him, right? As things at work heat up things at home are blowing up. She now realizes that JC is still in love with her, but he is her past, isn’t he? Now she finds out that he isn’t her rock she doesn’t even know him did she ever know him. As tensions rise and betrayals unfold, Lexi is soon left questioning the strength of her bond with Noah and whether she’s marrying the right man. You will have to read this great book I can’t wait until February so I can read Hunter’s story
