I absolutely loved this book. KM Lowe created a very moving story and I fully enjoyed being transported into her world. Lisa Coming of Age centers around a werewolf named Lisa and her journey to discovering herself and recognizing how strong she could be. I loved reading a paranormal novel that has a strong female alpha. I will definitely look forward to reading more from KM Lowe.

This collection is an amazing set of stories all based around love. While each story gets to the happily ever after or Happy for now, they all take different ways to get there.
Something for everyone in this and I will be recommending this collection to many. I initially got this for 2 authors I follow and ended up finding some new to me authors that will now be on my to look out for list.

Mountains Loved

Book 3
By Phoebe Alexander
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
This is the continued story of Dr. Sarah Lynde and Lt. James McAllister. This I think was the hardest book to read, as James and Sarah still have struggles. Don’t get me wrong. All relationships have struggles, we have all been there. But for Sarah and James, this is a whole new struggle. Learning to be honest and communication is a real struggle. James sure tried, Sarah and even my patience. So having said that let’s throw in some polyamorous and see who talks first. This is where open communication happens. Do you think these two can get through this? Can Sarah and James work together to climb yet another mountain? Recover and still love each other?

Phoebe Alexander has written yet another book that tore my heart out. I think this series gave so much to their story. You can’t help but fall in love with her characters. Phoebe Alexander writes of strong women, who fight for what they want. She also writes from her heart. This series hit so many feelings. Happy, sad, anger, and communication, let’s not forget trust. This series is for those over 18. Take a chance and give this some reading. Remember to read the series in order. Thank You Phoebe Alexander for this great series!!!

King & Hunt: A Lust / Hate StoryKing & Hunt: A Lust / Hate Story by Brienne Dubh

So Hot!! The chemistry is there from the very first page of the book. Gabriella King is a smart, witty, sarcastic woman who knows what she likes, and who she doesn’t like. Christian Hunt, well hes just smoking hot and sexy, and gives as good as he gets. He is also not afraid to go after what he wants and has the determination to get it. This story pulled me in from page one, and it just got hotter and steamier from there. It made me laugh a few times, and turn the fan on high others. It gets better the more you read, one of those “I’m just going to read a few more pages before bed” then realize its been more than a few pages. I highly recommend this book, if you want something that is truly good with a lot of naughty in it.

Lisa: Coming Of Age (Book 1 of The Guardian Shifters) by KM Lowe – Review by Erica Fish

Lisa: Coming Of Age (Guardian Shifters #1)Lisa: Coming Of Age by K.M. Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lisa: Coming of Age is the first book in the The Guardian Shifters by KM Lowe. KM Lowe put a lot of creativity into her story. She made her shifter story unique. It is a romance book with paranormal roots as well. Her characters are multi-layer which makes seeing them in my mind’s eye easy. This story is about Lisa. Lisa was left on hospital stairs seventeen years ago. She never wanted for anything in her life, until now. She was curious about her birth parents and what led them to leave her on those hospital stairs. She turns to her best friend Markus to help her understand what is going on with her. What will Lisa find out? With her relationship to Markus remain intact? This is a great book and I highly recommend you read this story for yourself.

Mountains Series Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by Phoebe Alexander is a very well written series. These characters have been brought to life by Phoebe Alexander. Her story telling is very detailed and her character development makes you fall in love with Sarah and James. These characters have been through some stuff. They have struggles but are able to overcome them. The wonderful part of this series is that we watched Sarah and James’s relationship start out and grow. I highly recommend this boxed set to watch a relationship grow through all of the good times and struggles.

Forget Nico: Falling for the Wrong Italian (Italian Teens novel 1, The Italian Saga) by Gaia B. Amman is a wonderfully written story that I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till I finished. Wow what a story, it definitely made me think about to my teenage years and I don’t miss them especially all the drama. I’ve read several other books by this Author and I mist say this one ranks up there as one of my favorites. This story is about Leda (Lee) and Nico and the struggles of young Romance. She’s a young girl trying to deal with having feelings for nico and her complicated friendships. I found myself a bit emotional and like I was right there along side them throughout the whole book. Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

A short and steamy read is how the author describes this book and I 100% agree! I absolutely loved everything about this book! It was a great example of an enemies to lovers story – a genre I really like! There was definitely some hatred between the two characters, Christian and Gabriella but there was also a lot of chemistry and lust! I loved reading about them, the banter between them, the flying insults but once that truce between them has been called then the heat level between them begins to rise!
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I cannot wait to read more of her work! I 100% recommend this book!

IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE (Irresistible Romance Book 3)IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE by Tamara Ferguson

Irresistible Valentine anthology is a collection of works by some fantastic authors. I have read all of these authors previously and could not wait to get my hands on these stories.
I really enjoyed how these books were all different from each other. They had the same feel and yet there was never a risk of them all “becoming one” as I often find is the issue with anthologies. Each authors voice was distinctive and easy to hear.
The stories were all varied but well developed. There isn’t one that I didn’t like.
This is a great anthology and one that I would recommend.

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross is an interesting story that is a nice quick read. This is the first book that I have read by this author and while I enjoyed the basis of the story I did think at times it felt like there was something missing.
I think because the book is a novella it felt like the story were a bit rushed. I definitely think it would have benefitted from being a full length novel as the story itself were good and I quite liked the characters. The author clearly has a strong writing style which carried the book forward.
Overall this is a good book and I will definitely read more by this author in the future.

Its been a while since I have been captivated with a shifter book. But this read was amazing, it was so nice to be transported into Lisa’s world. It was a mentally visual read that you couldn’t help but get hooked up in!
This is my first read from this author and after experiencing her writing I will definitely be wanting to read more! I absolutely loved these characters, I loved following their journey and learning along with them. I loved that this was written in various POV’s it really helps you further connect with the characters, really understand what they are really thinking and feeling. Everything about this read I loved, it has drama, passion, romance, action, emotion. I can’t wait to see what else comes to this series, and what else this author brings us! Forget Nico: Falling For The Wrong Italian by Gaia B Amman’s is the third book in The Italian Saga and the first in the Italian Teens series. Leda is a typical teen girl and this is a continuation of her story. What happens when she catches the attention of Alex? Does she have to forget Nico? Amman handles the characters with honesty and humor. Even though set in Italy this story is relatable to anyone who has handled teen strife. I really enjoy these stories and this can even be read as a standalone. I look forward to reading more of Leda’s adventures and seeing her life through the Italian lens.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross was a decent story. It’s a very short, fantasy story, that grabbed my attention but had to work to keep it. The story wasn’t what I was expecting from reading the synopsis, and the ending was a little strange for my tastes. It wasn’t a bad novella though! It just wasn’t my favorite. The story was very well written, I just didn’t have much background information to go on. I’m not sure if it was a continuation of a series, or what. I liked the story, just again it wasn’t personally for me. Four stars for writing, because the writing was incredible.

Mountains Climbed (Mountains, #2)Mountains Climbed by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Phoebe Alexander has done it again in Mountains Climbed (Mountains Series #2). I really enjoyed the first book, but this sequel is also amazing. This book still focuses on Sarah and James as the two main characters. James has gone off on deployment and can NOT get Sarah out of his head. Sarah has tried moving on, but can’t get James out of her head. A distraction seems to be just that to both James and Sarah. All of the things that made the first book wonderful are present again in book 2. You are left feeling all sorts of emotions and want to keep reading. This is a story you truly do not want to end.

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross was a steamy and interesting romance. Witches, Mages, Warlocks, and curses. This was a fun book that I devoured in one sitting. Straight and to the point I could not put it down. Dragomir was placed under a cruel curse and Ida approaches him to help him with it. Her methods are different and it doesn’t necessarily mean the curse will leave but I enjoyed her creativity. This book was not what I expected and I liked that.

FLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGY: Flowers in December, Coming Home, Second Chance by Jane Suen – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

FLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGYFLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGY by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Jane Suen’s Flowers in December Trilogy, so it’s great that the three books are now collected into one volume! When I finished the first book, I was eager to find out what happened next so being able to seamlessly segue into the next book (and the one after!) is a big advantage!
It’s a heart-warming wintery romance story that follows Connor as he copes with the grief of losing his mother and re-evaluates his life. His priority so far has been working his way up the business ladder, chasing promotions at the exclusion of all else. Returning home to bury his mother reminds him of everything he missed. It’s a hard journey but, with the help of Tom the cat (who disapproves strongly to city life) Connor figures out what matters most to him.
I particularly like how we see the broader cast of characters develop over the course of the books. It’s particularly seeing how the relationship between Mrs Rainer and her daughter, Alana, unfolds – especially after everything Mrs Rainer has done for Connor!
When I read the books separately, I rated them either four or five stars. The added convenience of having all the books together bumps this up to a five-star collection! I’d recommend it for snuggling up with on cold winter’s days – it would make a great holiday read!

Lisa: Coming Of Age (Book 1 of The Guardian Shifters) by KM Lowe – Review by Lisa Helmick

Lisa: Coming Of Age (The Guardian Shifters, #1)Lisa: Coming Of Age by K.M. Lowe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story that drew me into It. the writing is smooth and reading it felt easy. It is told from different characters POV which is nice. That way we get to know what each is thinking. At times it did get a little tedious listening to the drama in their heads over and over. Lisa is being taken on an emotional journey. Her life as she knows it is changing forever with a few words to her best friend.

Overall this is a nice story. It didn’t wow me but I didn’t hate it either. It had enough action to keep me interested in her plight. This is a new author to me. I see Jaspers story Is next. I will probably give it a go.

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross – Review by Angela Hayes

Black Cat SecurityBlack Cat Security by Katerina Ross
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Stars

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross is an original paranormal romance with a bit of a zany storyline. I would love to have read a longer version of this story, as this would have given the story and characters more time to develop. Because there were times through this book where I felt I was missing something, that there was something lacking- and other parts where the story felt a little rushed. It is definitely entertaining- but didn’t live up to my expectations, or in my opinion its true potential.
The characters were intriguing and quite quirky- but, I didn’t connect with them the way I had hoped to. Maybe that is just me- maybe I was just having an off reading day. So, having said that, I will go back and revisit this story in a few weeks to see if I still feel the same way.
Not sorry I read it- just wish it was ‘more’.

Thank you, Katerina Ross!

Black Cat Security
By Katerina Ross
5 out of 5 stars

The story Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross is a paranormal romance book. The story is a short, steamy, and intriguing one. I loved reading about the characters of Dragomir and the pretty witch that he meets. Dragomir has a curse upon him and makes a living by entering illegal boxing matches. One night he meets a witch that says she might be able to change his life for the better. Can she help when no one else has been able to? Read this book to find out. This story pulled me in from the beginning and I found myself reading it all in one sitting. There are moments that make the temperature in the room rise. The character of Dragomir is very skeptical of the witch’s claims. Does the witch only have wicked plans for him or will Dragomir also learn from the experience? I found the witch to be secretive, bold, and very confident in herself. Don’t miss out on this story. Recommended reading.

Lisa grows up knowing that she’s adopted. Around the age of seventeen, she learns that she is a wolf shifter. The truth about her birth parents is hard and she’s in denial for most of the book. The next few weeks of her life put her and her loved ones in danger.

The premise of the book was good. The book placed an importance on family which I liked. I loved the fact that the story was situated in Scotland. The author added a few Scottish words here and there although I would have expected more. I found Lisa’s childish tantrums redundant and somewhat off putting. There was too much unnecessary drama surrounding her denial. I liked the other characters in the book especially Jasper. I’m looking forward to reading part two because it’s about him.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lisa: Coming of Age is the first book in The Guardian shifters series by K.M. Lowe. If this book is anything to go by the rest of the series is set to be fantastic. I have come to this party quite late, as this is my first read from Ms. Lowe- and there are also several more books in this series that have already released. But, now that I have a taste of her work, I will definitely be exploring the rest of the series, as well as her other books.
This is an engaging paranormal coming of age story- with a friends to lovers romance, shifters, drama, angst, discovery, danger, adventure, banter, love, friendship, family, emotion, surprising developments, suspense, and tension.
Lisa has her world and everything she thought she knew turned upside down when her past is revealed- turning up secrets she could have never imagined. She will need to wrap her mind around this huge, life altering revelation- and come to terms with this ‘Coming of Age”. This is an adventure that will change her life forever.
I have already added the other books in this series to my TBR list- and can’t wait to find out what lies in store for us- starting with “Jasper: United Together” (Book #2).
Engaging, fun, and emotive!!

Thank you, K.M. Lowe!

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross – Review by Jonell Collins

Black Cat SecurityBlack Cat Security by Katerina Ross
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross starts out as a very interesting read. She builds a well described world, very interesting characters, (I mean magicians, can it get any better) and the flow of her writing is easy to read, and her world is easy to envision. It then takes a dark turn that took me by surprise. Ida, a witch, and a dominatrix takes Dragomir (who is surprised but not exactly unwilling) under her wing. Erotica is not a genre I read but different strokes for different folks. Dragomir has some serious anger issues and self esteem problems. Although this is erotica and will be very uncomfortable for some, I would be remiss if I did not point out that some of the things that the author points out about self-loathing, and how we think of ourselves, is of value. If this is a genre you like, I think you might get a lot out of this story.

King & Hunt: A Lust / Hate Story By Brienne Dubh – Review by Gail Guerrero

Four Stars

I love a good love/hate story. Gabby and Hunt can not stand each other. But once they get that first sinful taste all bets are off. You can’t continue to hate someone you’re falling in love with. I didn’t understand why they hated each other. It was simply miscommunication. Instead of verbalizing what the issue was they continued to be nasty to each other. Not caring how their relationship was affecting those around them. I found it extremely childish. I liked that Christian wasn’t just a douche that dressed like a 13 year old going through a emo faze. The author made it a quick light read and it wasn’t bad. It was very to the point you didn’t get too much filling in between them meeting up. Overall a nice read that doesn’t leave you guessing or wondering what’s next.
