This box set was really good and i enjoyed reading it during my long weekend. The books in this box set are part of the Hero High series and the names of the books are Denial, Anger, Bargaining. These books are fantasy and they drop us smack dab into a supernatural world. Friday is our main character and she is pretty awesome. She is supernaturally gifted and she is training at a special university. There is romance, suspense, and alot of action. I really enjoyed this set and i am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future! Happy Reading!!

Well if I could find nothing else to say about this book, I can say it was quite unusual for me. I have never read a book that had alternate endings and I could not imagine how that could turn out. Perfect by Tricia Copeland turned out to be a great story. I like how Chloe did not limit herself. I like her boldness and how she has these internal conversations with herself and her honesty. Let’s face it we lie to ourselves more than anybody. I can’t say how I wanted this to turn out and it may be that I need to mull it over a while. The ending was quite a surprise for me. A good clean romance that was not uncomfortable in any way.
Perfect is written by Tricia Copeland and is the first book I have read by this author. I really enjoyed this romance story; I came into it thinking it would be like the others and its not. This is a book I will suggest to friends anytime they ask for a good book. This book follows Chloe and her many romantic possibilities while searching for the perfect man. I loved Chloe and seeing her grow as the pages passed, the author did a great job with capturing everything so perfect for this story. This story sucks you in and doesn’t let you go. It can be read as a standalone.

Humiliating Revenge is the first book I’ve read by T. Christensen and for that reason, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. I was afraid this book would be a lot like most second chance Romance stories but it really was an emotional rollercoaster. There was a lot more depth to the characters and storylines than I was anticipating. The book itself really exceeded my expectations. I found myself interested from the very first page and my interest never faded. After reading this 4 star book, I would definitely read more from this Author in the future.

Perfect by Tricia Copeland was a good 4 star read. It took me just a bit to get pulled in, it felt like Chloe’s thoughts were all over the place.
Chloe is in a long distance relationship with her highschool sweetheart. She was missing him immensely, however when he shows up one day surprising her and sharing some news with her, she ends up making a very hard decision. Chloe has a vision of her future and the life she wants, she is determined to get it.
Who will she choose for her HEA?
Moving forward Chloe has quite the journey to finding her HEA. I had some LOL moments along with some hard moments with her. This was a great story of finding the Perfect life for yourself and being happy. I really enjoyed Chloe and all of the other characters, they added a great element to the story. Forgotten Promise is the second book in the Forgotten Trilogyby Virginia Wine. This continues Bryer and Nathan’s story from book one, so I highly recommend reading the first book before starting on this one. Just when things seem to be going great and the future looks bright- the past comes back with a vengeance and will test their relationship like nothing before. With all the obstacles they’ve managed to overcome- this may just break them! Again, as with the first book, I had some trouble connecting with the characters and their story. The frustrated me so much. I really wanted to shake them both! Cash is a real piece of work- a major POS!!! And we are left with another cliffhanger, with more details and developments to be revealed in the next book. I am interested to see how everything will come together in the end. Wonder what Forgotten Chance (Book 3) has in store for us….

A story about a young love cut short, full of regret when they come face to face several years later. Olivia Crawford seems very uncomfortable in her own skin. There is so much Olivia worries about as a daughter who is abused with very few she can consider a friend.
Calum Breen was the guy that was dumped, who works hard to become an MMA fighter and come home to show the girl who humiliated him how well he is doing now. The interactions between the older Calum and Olivia starts to show him that maybe he missed something back in high school.
The story was well written and I appreciate how the author showed growth and change in the characters.

Hero High: Figure In The Flames by Mina Chara. This series has captured a bit of my heart, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this set not because it’s written poorly or anything but because it’s not my first reading type. But this author knows how to capture readers and keep us coming back for more. The characters are complex and relatable while taking you on an incredible journey. There’s definitely times I lost track of book world and real world. I had a hard time putting any of these away to join the real world again. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Each book gets better and better. I’m anxious to see where the author takes readers next. Four stars and highly recommended!

Forgotten Promise Book two: The Forgotten Trilogy by Virginia Wine. Once again this author truly knows how to capture my attention and I couldn’t put this book down. I highly recommend reading this series in order. Once again this author gives us a bit of everything I love in a great story. Som suspense, mystery and a whole lot of romance. These characters truly draw you into their world and you can definitely forget the time of day while you spend it with them. From the get go these characters had me hooked and I’m so ready for more. It’s a well written story and it’s paced nicely. Five stars all the way and excited to see where the author takes readers next. Highly recommended!

Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen is a good, entertaining read. This starts with the typical girl dumps boy, and he remakes himself to return bigger and better. Luckily, the author takes this and runs further and deeper with this storyline. The characters are complex and multidimensional. I enjoyed the story and the characters. People were deeper than I first thought and this helped to propel the story. I enjoyed the fact that I was surprised by the story because my first assumptions were this would be a typical cookie cutter story. There was good character development and story development. This is a good romance if you like Alpha males and strong, determined females. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Hansel and Gretal (Down the Rabbit Hole) Anthology 4 Stars
I’ve always loved fairytales. The authors in this anthology definitely wrote their own version of this classic. There is a bit of everything in these stories so they should satisfy most readers. I prefer stories that have a twist with some horror therefore these were my favourites.
The Surface by CeeCee Elaine
This leans towards a dystopian vibe. Most of mankind has died off because of an airborne virus. Two people escape an underground bunker and return to the surface. The story has a crazy twist at the end that you never see coming.
The Reaper Within by Jess Bagnall
A boy who has been shunned his entire life by the village grows up to be a hunter. He hunts the monsters in the forest helping the doctor with his experiments. With a twist you don’t expect, it’s definitely not a happy fairytale but it will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Shadows that Move by Lorah Jaiyn
Witches and curses abound in this story. What do you do when no one believes you? When you’re terrorized but end up being blamed. If the truth doesn’t flow with everyone’s beliefs, does it pass as mental illness? Read the story and decide what you believe.

Spouse Trap: Madeline Dawkins Mysteries (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 1) by Cynthia Hamilton. This author isn’t new to me and I find myself draw to anything I can find she’s written. I find it refreshing to see a author who can write different types of stories. This book took me a little bit to sink into but once I did I was completely hooked and couldn’t put it down. The characters are probably where I had a bit of trouble connecting but I’ll be honest I couldn’t think they would be better any other way, sometimes characters are exactly how the story should have them be and it’s by no fault of the author I couldn’t connect with them right away. So while the characters weren’t my favorite they still were exactly what the story called for and the storyline really drew me in and kept me turning the pages. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Four stars and highly recommended.

This is my first book by Allison M. Boot. I appreciated what this book was trying to convey. More positive representation of disabilities in the media is a good thing. The main female character is – Misty Miles, a princess living in a kingdom called Starryton, which exists in an anachronistic universe that contains monarchies, movie theaters, phonographs, and trolls. She’s in love with our male main character Prince Derrick of Mooncrest. It was an interesting telling of the tragic love that needs magic to make it happen.

Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen was so much more than I expected. Main character Olivia is ready to let go of her past with Calum until he shows up at the bar she is working at. He uses this opportunity to seek revenge but instead of it stopping there, secrets begin to surface and there is confusion. Is Olivia really the batch everyone thinks she is, or did Calum actually see the real person beneath the façade?
I was in tears at times while reading this book. I hurt for Olivia and what she struggled with. Her secret was huge and the life she grew up loving with her dad? Wow. I was so angry, sad, and frustrated at times but she was selfless. Calum irritated me at the start of the novel but as time went on my opinion changed. By the end of this book I was in love with them! I also might mention that I read this in one sitting. It wasn’t planned but when I started this book; I couldn’t stop. I highly recommend this novel.

Humiliating Revenge is a contemporary romance novel by T. Christensen. Olivia is in love with Calum, she always has been since their painful break up 4 years before. Olivia broke Calum’s heart but what he doesn’t know is she also broke her own in the process. Now he is back in her life, but things have changed. Neither of them are the same as they were before. Calum is a hardened fighter, at the top of his game in MMA and he is after his revenge. He is back in town and isn’t going to let Olivia forget what she did to him, but he doesn’t know the whole story.
Humiliating Revenge is a wonderful romance novel, your heart breaks for the characters and what they have been through. I wanted to stand up for Olivia and scream at Calum for not noticing. I give a massive thumbs up to any book that can pull me in that way. Definitely recommend to other lovers of this genre.

When your dumped in the most humiliating way in high school from the girl you thought you would spend the rest of your life with it cuts you to the bone, but when Calum comes back to his home town to confront the spoilt brat Olivia something is just not right but Calum can’t quite put his finger on it.
Olivia has a secret that nobody knows, she had to let Calum go although’s many years ago to protect him and his family. The hurt from that day stays with her always but he will be the only boy/man she will ever truly love.
The story opens a few years on from High School when Olivia goes to see Calum in his first major MMA fight near her home town but this is no reunion she is in the shadows as she has always been watching his career, he has never left her heart but they just can’t be together or he and his family will be in peril.
Calum decides to track Olivia down to humiliate her just as she did although’s years ago in school, making him think he was not good enough for her but now he has the money and the celebrity he will show her and rub that stuck up nose it. Once he locates her in the local bar working something does not seem right, with the feelings for her still strong he tries to rekindle the relationship but with Olivia blowing hot and cold all the time he can’t quite put his finger on it.
I loved this story, the vulnerable side to Olivia your heart could just break for her, wishing Calum would take that big head of his out of his backside and see the whole story but of course it takes his Dad to bring the whole thing to light. I would love to have learnt what happened to Mayor Crawford and how the relationship between Shelly and Eric turns out but I will have to read more of the stories to find out if this continues. I thought the whole telling of the interactions between Olivia and her father were hard to read but the writing was brilliant. I look forward to reading more by this author and recommend this story.

My emotions were all over the place and I don’t think my heartstrings have been pulled quite like this story did in a while. This is about love, loss, and finding yourself after being lost. Meg and Drew are simply amazing characters that I loved reading about. He finds himself living a pretty lonely life after a tragic accident occurred . After a tragedy strikes she finds herself on a journey going from place to place .Then these two meet ,both of their pasts are haunting them. Can they get past there pasts and move forward? Will she stay or continue to run from place to place? Can these two have a future together? I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. This contemporary YA romance by author T. Christensen sent me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it, it’s so much more than an enemies to lovers story. The book had me hooked from page one due to its fast paced storyline and great characters. Rich, snooty, spoiled town princess Olivia Crawford was ‘famous’ for being all those things whilst Calum Breen was the easy-going, adored high school athlete. Having been childhood sweethearts, Olivia then not only ended the relationship with Calum but did so in such a way that his humiliation at her hands and anger drove him away and he joined the MMA. Now successful as a MMA fighter, Calum is back in town and as he is no longer the love struck boy he once was is determined to get his revenge on Olivia. However the more he learns about the mayors daughter the more he realises things are not as they seem. This book definitely has a “Hot Alpha Male and a Determined Heroine”, I loved Olivia and Calum as the main characters and their chemistry sizzled off the page leading to some steamy moments. I thought the storyline of Olivia being abused by her controlling father was dealt with sensitively and realistically and gave the story added depth than just another teenager romance. The book was full of twists and turns and unexpected secrets coming to light which kept me turning the pages and I was immersed in Olivia and Calum’s world. I was cheering them on to a HEA. A great read and the first book I’ve read by this author and I now look forward to reading other books by T. Christensen.

Meg and Drew’s story is one that I was emotionally invested in from the get go…and it was quite the ride. Meg has sold off everything she had and is running from the tragedies of her past. Drew is a former football star that has suffered his own tragedy. Finding her way to Green Springs, Meg and Drew cross paths and their relationship is explosive from the beginning. However, as they both try to deal with their own pain, they need to figure out if they can heal each other or if they are better off just continuing the way they have been.
This book is full of emotions. Each of their situations pulled at my heartstrings and made me invested in their story. I really enjoyed every word of this book. We are also introduced to secondary characters that, if I had to guess, will be the subject of future books in the series. I will definitely be checking them out because this little town has grown on me!

These two are so intertwined I can’t help but see them get together or not. The friend connection, the relative connection and their jobs all make them an easy mark. But what’s not so easy are their personalities…they are like oil and water at times then others..PBJ. I just never knew what I was getting from page to page. Happy couple or fighting couple. I will say that her nastiness at the job did get old when she should be in the happy happy stage of love. I struggled with Caroline more than once and it was both her attitude and actions that caused me to question her. It kinda turned Charles into a begging man which I didn’t really think fit him at all. He is a kind romantic guy. These two have many highs and lows between them. Overall it’s a nice story. I did read it fairly quickly. The secondary characters (his family and Casey) added some much fun to this story.

This is a cute enjoyable story! It made me chuckle at times but usually I had a smile on my face. Each of the MC had a devastation in their life. Maybe not recent but there are still repercussions as a result. I liked them both together and it’s clear they need each other. They have nice sweet, sexy, potty mouth filled times together. She is smart mouthed and he is kind. She is a take no prisoners lover…oh and so is he. They each adore Nana and the townsfolk of Green Springs. This is an enjoyable quick read and I look forward to the next one.

Spouse Trap is the first book in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. It is the first time that I have read any of this author’s work and I this book is anything to go by then I’ll definitely be reading more as I absolutely loved this book. Spouse Trap is a fantastic mystery novel that grabs you from the very first page and does not let you go until the very end. I was totally hooked on this story and could not put it down. Madeline Ridley has it all. She has a perfect life in a perfect house with a perfect husband. Or does she? When she wakens up in a strange hotel room with no recollection of how she got there or what happened in the room, her life takes a dramatic turn she could never have envisaged. To make matters worse her husband produces damning photographs of the night in the hotel and demands a divorce. This book has a fantastic storyline with amazing characters. I just loved Madeline and the way she took control of the situation and did everything she could to get to the bottom of the situation and turn the tables on Steven with the help of a private investigator. This story builds up towards Madeline becoming a private investigator herself, aided and abetted by long term friend Mike which I am sure we will read much more of in the future books in this series. I for one, can’t wait to read more of Madeline and Mike’s adventures.

Be Brave with me is a romance story set in a small town of Green springs. Meg has had a tragic incident and is on a road trip to let go of the demons of her past. Drew lives in Green springs for a living, he has lost a leg in an accident and is also mourning a loss of a loved one. When they both meet, sparks fly, they are attracted to each other. But Meg cannot let go of her grief so easily despite Drew time and again comforting her to be brave with him. She still wants to continue her road journey to reminisce her past. Both of them have to fight their internal battles to let go and start their lives afresh. It is an enjoyable novel and I really liked the small-town details, especially how the people in the small town are so friendly and caring towards each other, the small restaurants which serve delicious food, the bar, the repair shop and the shops. Everyone goes about in good spirits and help each other which pulls up the spirits of the reader. It is a good book, but I felt there were too few characters in the novel. More characters and more interaction in the small town would have made the story a lot more interesting. It has a very good storyline but certain twists and turns would have made the plot a lot more promising. It is a breezy quick read. If you are looking for a light romance book, this book is for you.

After suffering her trumatic experience Meg leave her home and everything she owns behind her. She is running away trying to find peace but finding it no where.
Drew suffered an accident which ended his promising career and killed the woman he loved. He has his demons to deal with as well.
When they meet neither of them is expecting the attraction between them that happens. Can Drew help Meg overcome her fears and learn to love again or will Meg be too scared and just keep running.

4 out of 5 stars Be Brave with me is the first book in Finding Love in Green Springs written by J.B. Havens and C.A. Miconi. This is an emotional and second chance story that brought me to a few tears. The main characters Meg and Drew are both emotionally unstable that can’t move past their past they just keep reliving the past. The characters are well written and the plot is awesome even if the plot was depressing and emotional. Will Meg and Drew move forward in their lives? Or will they live in the past and miss out on life? Can these two help each other and move forward with their lives? Will they get a happily ever after or will they be miserable for the rest of their lives? I recommend this book and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

It took me a few chapters to get into this book, but once I did, it hooked me. The one thing that could have been different is that, while I love a good sex scene, the ones in this book seemed to go on for too long. Or, maybe it was just the timing or the way they are written that throws you out of the moment. I think this particular story could have carried itself without the extended physical interaction.
The characters and the plot are great. You get emotionally invested in the push and pull between Olivia and Calum as they start unraveling the past. The villain character is disturbing and is part of what truly makes this story so intense.

Not So Far is the third book in the Love Grows series and again as with the first two I really enjoyed it. I find Ms Regent’s books so easy to read; they are always enjoyable and have great characters. I really loved Silas and Audrey – I really felt the connection that they had with each other. Audrey was strong and independent and after what happened in the past with Silas I knew she would struggle to build a connection with him again now he is back in her life. I did love reading about their relationship, the high and the lows. They were both really likeable characters and I was rooting for them the whole way through! I 100% recommend this story and I look forward to more from Ms Regent again in the future!

Perfect by Tricia Copeland. This book will grab you and hold onto you throughout the entire time you are reading. There are plenty of ups and downs and twists and turns. I loved how Chloe changed and how her character grew throughout the book. I could not put this down until I was completely done. I fell in love with this story and the author’s words just flow. I highly recommend this book.
