I was excited to get my hands on this one after I read the first book in the The Book of Eleanor series. The Traveler: Chimera Revolution picks up right off of where book one left off so I would highly recommend that you read it before you read this one. These books are fast paced time travel and fantasy reads. They have a little bit of everything for everyone though and keep the reader engaged from page one till the last. I loved how this one keeps the suspense and drama deep and strong as you read and feel as if you are in Savannah in 1779. I feel as if I do take a time to travel to the locations and can feel the air and ground as I watch and follow along the adventures taking place. I can’t say enough good things about these novels, even though this one takes the favorite place as of now. This is a series you won’t want to miss and will find yourself thinking about and longing for long after the time you finish reading it. I can’t wait to see what the next book will hold and where it will take us!

I have not previously read anything by Camilla Blythe, but the Calamity under the Chandelier, could not have been a better choice for me to be introduced to her writing skills. I was going into this one with the inviting and attention grabbing cover and blurb but that was about it. I expected a fairly easy cozy murder mystery and felt I got a lot more. This was quite the little murder mystery but the underlying and overlapping story lines kept me engrossed and engaged with the characters as I read. The premise may not have been extremely unique but it was written so well I felt as if I was watching a mystery movie unfold as I read.
Cora Clarke wants to be there and support her best friend Veronica who just eloped and is expecting the meet and greet and divulging this information will be a difficult pill to swallow. She travels with her friend to England at a time when her career is also on the fritz. She is supposed to be in Hollywood on set, not stuck in the cold winter of England during a scary and murderous time for the manor they are in. Things get pretty twisted and turned that you don’t see the ending that is coming. I look forward to seeing what else we will get from this series as well. It appears that there is some available and I am gonna dive into one soon!

Two Hearts Unspoken Targets is the eleventh book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series(and the extended version of the Two Hearts Unspoken story) by Tamara Ferguson. It is a suspenseful, heart-warming wounded warrior contemporary romance. Elizabeth Owen (Beth) is a single mother of severely autistic son, Kyle. She’s been working as an accountant in a plant, which will be shutting down, due to the economy. So, when Kyle is offered a highly desired placement in a vocational facility in Wisconsin, she readily accepts, and they set off for a new beginning in Crystal Rock. As she and Kyle are driving into their new home town, they are startled when they narrowly avoid hitting a dog that runs across the road. They head to the beach at Dragonfly Pointe, where they get out to go for a walk. Being here brought back happy memories of childhood, for Beth. Zach has recently moved to town to take on a position as the new Administrator for the Wounded Warrior facility. He is also quite taken with Beth when they meet, the Sparks fly and their attraction is undeniable. Zach’s injuries sustained whist in service have left him physically and emotionally scarred, and make him very self-conscious and unsure of himself. He doesn’t think anyone could look at his scars and not be repulsed. The two share an unforgettable kiss, but afterwards Zach seems avoid Beth and is holding back. Beth can’t figure him out. What could he possibly be hiding? Would they get the chance to create something truly magical between them? Add in the suspense and danger from the past, which threatens not only Zach, but Beth and Kyle too- and the story gets quite gripping and suspenseful. I was totally invested in the characters and their story, unable to put the book don until I knew how everything played out. I found this story is really very touching and emotionally charged too. The story is really well written and the characters are fully developed, with a realism that only comes from the pen of a masterful author. Ms. Ferguson gave me a glimpse into the toll that war, injury, and PTSD can have on a soldier- and some of the sacrifices they make in service to their country. She also shone a light on living with autism and how that affects the person, and their loved ones. This wonderful story is all about acceptance and overcoming adversity- with just the right amount of danger, chemistry, and intrigue. Superb!

I loved reading the story Center of Gravity (An Ice Tigers Hockey Romance Book 2) by Isabella Cassazza. It is a book that pulled me in from the beginning and I was hooked. It is an amazing romance story that had me not wanting to put it down until the final page. I loved the characters of Emilia Ravelli and Matt Walker. They have chemistry together. Will they get a HEA? Read this book to find out. My emotions went up and down the entire time I was reading this story. The story has heartwarming and romantic moments. Some moments had me smiling or laughing out loud. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters who interacted with Emilia and Matt. I enjoyed how the Ice Tigers worked as a team and how they supported each other. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining book. I would highly recommend reading it.

This crime thriller was definitely a page-turner. The characters were well-developed and complex, and seeing their storylines come together throughout the story was so enjoyable. The plot moves at a strong pace, with enough suspense and detail to keep going. This story surprised me, but it also really moved me. I didn’t really expect that from this book and I’m so glad I read it.

This is a great crime mystery. There was plenty of suspense and drama, and the plot moves quickly. However, in some places, it seemed a little uneven and rushed. The characters were interesting though, with several storylines being woven together. It was a bit of a shorter read so I think more detail could have been added sometimes.
This was such a cute story full of love drama to the brim! I would love to go to a beach weekend with my closest girlfriends, especially after this book! The characters are so well written I felt like I could call Cassie up and say, “listen girl, get it together!” And Harry, the bartender!
There were scenes in this book that had me thinking about booking a trip, downtown dancing to live music, art galleries, and the few other places that were mentioned had me longing to plan a trip to this place. That along with the girls hanging out on the beach with strangers, sleeping in, day drinking, all the things that happen on a weekend out of town I suppose.
Feeling a connection and finding out some horrible things while you are away is never a good thing and having to make some hard choices when you have to get back to reality, is tough. Mya did a great job with this story, it was full of drama, love, friendship, and some tips to help with self care! Now I want to read the other 2 books!!

Tamara Ferguson is a go-to author of mine, each read she creates transports you into an amazing real world, that you find hard to escape from.
This read is no different, this is a great feel-good holiday read that can be read any time of the year! I absolutely loved reading Emma & Nick’s story. Their story had me hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t wait to see where it would take them. This read had the right amount of sweet romance and the right amount of steaminess to make this the perfect romance read, and to add to it it had twists and turns and secrets that you didn’t see coming.
Both of these characters are real, and you couldn’t help but love them from the moment this read begins. Throughout this read that I was hooked by I couldn’t help but hope that these two characters could find a way to work things out and get a HEA.
I highly recommend this read and this author you will not be disappointed in finding this author and being captivated by her reads! Don’t miss this read!
The Frontman is the first book I’ve read by this author and I am not disappointed at all. We dive right in in this story, with the death of Kerry, a rock and roll legend. We get to see the lifestyle of a rockstar, the ups and downs, the hidden and the unknown. I was kept right on the edge trying to figure out what was next, and I love when im so wrapped up in a story I forget I’m reading, and this book did just that. I will be reading more books by this author!

This was a lovely story about 2 strangers who meet by random. Its a really well written story and the characters are likeable and easily to relate to.
Nick and his friends were on holiday in Bali when they come across a group of woman on holiday too. The attraction between Emma and Nick was instant but since Nick was getting over heartbreak he didn’t want to risk it again.
However, the connection between them is so strong neither of them could forget it.
Its Christmas again when they next meet. Can the spirit of Christmas help them finally give into to their feelings for each other? Or will problems in their past stop make them stronger or tear them apart?
Holiday Hunks- St. Nick’s Christmas Wish by Tamara Ferguson is part of the Hot Hunks- Steamy Romance collection (Book #7). It is a sweet contemporary romance, with plenty of chemistry, spice, intriguing developments , and wonderful characters. I have said this so many times before that Ms. Ferguson is one of my ‘one-click- no questions asked’ authors- as I know that she will always deliver a story that I won’t want to leave. Her stories are ones in which I can lose myself completely, and easily having me invested in the story and wonderful characters- and this story was no exception. This is a very quick and easy read, with a great pace and a smooth flow. I devoured it in practically no time at all. As usual, I loved Ms. Ferguson’s attention to detail and all the interconnected elements she weaves into her stories. It gives her stories added interest, as well as some charm. Nick is a friend of Rand’s (from Rand’s Resolution: After Hurricane Nina Series) who meets the lovely Emma while in Bali- one night is all it takes- but things are never quite that simple, and this story has a few surprises in store. Intriguing developments woven around a sweet Christmas romance- and I was hooked! One of my favourite stories from Ms. Ferguson- one that can be enjoyed any time of the year, but especially leading up to and around Christmas! Looking forward to whatever Ms. Ferguson does next.
Calamity Under the Chandelieris the first book in the Sleuthing Starlet Mystery seriesby Camilla Blythe. It is an interesting cozy mystery with just enough drama and suspense to keep me entertained. Cora Clarke, a Hollywood starlet, has come to England to support her friend Veronica James, who scandalously eloped with the son of a duke. This caused quite a stir amongst the aristocracy and meets the scathing disapproval of his family. Now with Christmas upon them Cora arrives for the festivities- but when a murder occurs throwing suspicion on her friend- Cora dives into the role of detective. Calamity Under the Chandelier is a very quick and easy read. While it was a little predictable in places that didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the story. Looking forward to seeing what sleuthing adventures Cora gets up to next!

Virtually Gone is the first book that i have read by this author and i thought it was an interesting suspenseful story. I thought this book was well written and i enjoyed the edge of my seat feeling i had throughout the entire thing. I liked all of the characters especially the main character Julie. She is a Investigative reporter that stumbles on a case that is a lot bigger than she was expecting. This story was one of those that had me turning page after page and i am looking forward to reading more crime novels and more books by this author as well. I would recommend this to anyone that likes a good mystery/crime novel. Happy Reading!
This mystery kept me wondering who the killer was. I loved the interaction between Matt and his partner Conner in solving the rape and killing of a teenager. Add in to that Conner’s news reporter girlfriend Julie and her boss/friend Tayler, which helped make it a more relatable story.
I was very happy to find another awesome author, Jacquie Biggar, to my reading list. You won’t be disappointed reading this book. And I will be looking for the other books in this series. So cool that they are written by different authors.
I was introduced to author Lawrence Parlier from a facebook author takeover. I fell in love with the author before the book. I decided to give it a try, and my library is better for it. I loved this book. In The Frontman we get the story of Kerry, a now deceased music legend. He dies at the beginning of his latest tour and people are starting to question if things were accidental or if there is foul play- drugs and what not-you know the hearsay. I cannot express how much this book was so much- absolutely recommend. Great read, writing style and characters.

Holiday Hunks – St. Nick’s Christmas Wish is the seventh book in the Hot Hunks Steamy Romance Collection by Tamara Ferguson. The title of this book, and the collection even, did not disappoint. Nick is a hunk, who’s been burned by love in the past. He’s lost all confidence in himself since breaking off his engagement because he caught his fiance cheating. While vacationing in Bali with friends, he spots the beautiful Emma, who is also with friends. Emma tends to run away from men when things start getting serious. Sharing one hot kiss, Nick is determined to get to know Emma more, despite the fact that he isn’t sure if she is after him or his family’s money. Their paths cross again in Crystal Rock during a Christmas charity. As Emma watches Nick play Santa for the kids, she realizes there may be more to Nick than his rough personality. Reading how Nick and Emma start letting their guard down with one another was very heartwarming. I liked the way the author thoroughly introduced Nick’s childhood in the beginning chapters, as it would play an important role for Nick’s personality. I really enjoyed this book and plan on reading others in this collection.
C. L. Schneider has done it again with The Wandering Isles: A Crown of Stones Novella (The Crown of Stones Novella Series Book 1). Although not a part of the Crown of Stones trilogy it does feature some of our favorite characters. Having left Ian and Jarryd on a boat at the end of the trilogy we get to travel with them on their journey. Dealing with the past is never pleasant but Ian and Jarryd have a past that is particularly difficult. The new characters and the world the author creates is quite interesting and I think new and unique. C. L. Schneider will forever be on my read list.

Calamity under the Chandelier by Camilla Blythe is the first book in A Sleuthing Starlet Mystery series. This is a fun, cozy mystery which blends Hollywood starlets and Cora Clarke’s best friend marrying an English earl. The story is well written and a fun read. The mystery takes place while Cora is in England, visiting her friend. I always enjoy a good whodunit and this didn’t disappoint. The characters are entertaining and I enjoyed the mix of Hollywood and proper English folks. If you are in need of an entertaining read this is a good story to pick up. I look forward to reading more in A Sleuthing Starlet Mystery series.

Into the Lion’s Den (Reverend Margot Quade Cozy Mystery Series Book 1) by Sarah Biglow, is a sweet little mystery. Very fast read. It was a great little book to indulge my reading habit with. You know that habit you have when you really should be doing something else. This little story is guilt free. It was a great little mystery, interesting characters, and a page turner for sure. If you are looking for a good story to scratch that reading itch this is the book for you. You can read this book and get the housework done before the kids get off the bus. Good clean fun, no surprises here.

The Frontman by Lawrence Parlier, did not sound like a title that I was expecting much from. It just sounded kind of plain. Boy was I surprised. This is such an awesome book. On so many levels. The scenario in the book is unique, the characters are all marvelous, and there are many. Each one is so well described that they are firmly set in your memory, you feel like you know these people. Another very intriguing thing about this story is there are several stories going on and they all come together in the end. Romance, and who doesn’t like a little romance, without the icky factor, regret, forgiveness. This book has it all. This book is awesome and I just can’t say enough good things about it without sounding redundant. Read this book! I am hoping there is another book in the works, the way this story reads I think that could be a very real possibility. I would sure like to see Calliope and Harry figure things out.

I enjoyed this friends to lovers hockey romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her. This is a story that is about one magical night but everything has a consequence even if it is magical. This is Emilia and Matt’s story. They are well developed characters that brought the story to life. They made the story easy to read and really made the story pop for me. They pulled me into their story with ease and kept me engaged to the end. They both seem to be lost, will one of them save the other? Will Matt realize there is more to life than just hockey? Their chemistry is strong and they heat up the pages. I highly recommend this book and this author. You don’t want to miss this one!

The Frontman by Lawrence Parlier is an intriguing and story full of suspense that will have you absolutely hooked from the word go. I was drawn instantly in to this story and knew immediately that it was going to be good. The author really knows how to capture your attention – nothing could have stopped me reading the book to find out what had actually happened. This is the first book that I have read by this author and if it is any indication as to what his work is like then I am already a fan. I loved the writing style and I loved how the story had me on the edge of my seat. I was kept guessing as to what would happen which just made it all the more exciting. This is a fantastic book and I am already looking forward to my next read by this author.

Julie Crenshaw is the Investigation Reporter. Matthew Roy is the Detective tracking the raped and sexually abused. Their goal is to find who is terrorizing the city, and stop them. The two strong willed people are on a blazing trail. As for you, the reader, load up on the ride you’re about to read.
Jacquie Biggar is a new author for me. I was not disappointed. I love the story line as well as the characters in this book. The women are strong and determined to get answers. This was one rollercoaster I truly enjoyed. I will be looking for more from this writer. Job well done Jacquie Biggar!
I enjoyed this book. This is an author that I have been impressed with her writing style and skills from the first book that I have read. This book is no different. She brings the story to life and makes it easy to read. The characters are well developed and really made the story for me. This is one of my favorites by this author as I am sure it will be yours too. This is a romance story between Tasha and Josh. I loved their characters, I felt part of their story. They are strong, relatable and connectable. Their chemistry is great and kept me turning pages fast. This is a shorter story and it brings heat and adventure, you don’t want to miss this one. I highly recommend their story and this author.

This is my first book by this author. This is a murder-mystery story that I enjoyed to the end. It is a well written story that has characters that make the story easy to read. This is an interesting story that you never know who can be trusted. Hani is sent to investigate a murder but what he finds is so much more. As things get complicated for him will the superiors accuse the wrong person? This story did start a little slow but after a couple of chapters things picked up and it became fast paced. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next and if the murderer gets caught.

The Frontman is a great crime thriller by Lawrence Parlier. This is an author I had never read before so was very unsure what to expect from this book. What I got was a great thriller with a fantastic story line that kept me gripped from beginning to end. Following the death of music legend Kerry Vance, some of his friends and family are far from convinced that he died of a heroin overdose as the media are saying and embark on a literal journey to discover how he really died and to give him the send-off that he really wanted. There is quite a large cast of characters who play a large role in this book and I have to admit to getting confused a few times as just to who each person was. There are 2 main characters, in my opinion, both of whom are fantastic characters and are probably my favourite characters in the book and those are Avery and Calliope. Calliope is such a strange character but she takes absolutely no crap from anyone and is one of the feistiest women I’ve ever read. I adored reading about her. This is a crime thriller with a difference. Although you find out the truth about Kerry’s death long before the end of the book, the story is far from over and the remainder of this story is so far from what I would have expected. I may not have read this author before, I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to read them again. A great read.

This was a great crime thriller and makes you think you never know who is watching you.
When a young girl turns up murdered and raped the signs point to a couple of other assaults that happened before but no leads to the suspect. Matt and Connor are working the case trying to find the person responsible but neither of them realise who far back this reaches.
Julie is a reporter who wants this story and to find out who the suspect is. Will she get her story or will she end up in danger.
Its a great story that keeps you guessing who the suspect is right until the end of the book.
Confidentiality (Scope of Practice #2) by Jessica Aiken-Hall
Jessica has outdone herself once again. Being the second book I’ve read by her I can say she’s a very talented writer. This is a page turner and will leave you wanting to know more.
Val is still running her group and things have taken a turn for the worse or maybe it’s for the better. She is living the life she didn’t know she even wanted. The quote I choose for Tim is: “Val, there’s nothing you could do to make me stop loving you. I’m afraid you’re stuck with me…forever. You know…until death do us part. What’s going on? Is there something you want to talk about?”
I do highly recommend this for anyone who loves a good mystery. Being the second book in the Scope of Practice Series I do recommend reading the first one. This will have you wanting more by time the book ends.

I liked this story. It is shorter and sweet with a few bumps in the road. The story flowed nicely. Although the ending seemed a bit abrupt. The characters are lively and easily drew me in. Each of these two have a little issue. One a fiancée the other can’t seem to forget and forgive his past. I felt the story has a bit of cheating element. So that made me not care for Jules. She seemed to think it’s okay for her to act a certain way (and her married friends) but not Cassie. Bachelor/ette parties are difficult because they are “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” deals.
Overall it’s a good story that kept my Interest. I did read it fairly quickly. I did enjoy Harry and his ideals and thoughts. It’s nice to see him (a bartender at a resort) as a person, not just a guy who flirts with a new girl every day/week.

The Wandering Isles: A Crown Of Stones by C.L. Schneider Five Stars
The Wandering Isles is the first novella in a series that takes place after The Crown Of Stones by C.L. Schneider. These novellas can be read without having read The Crown Of Stones series but if you love fantasy books, you are definitely going to want to read that series also. The Crown Of Stones was the books that introduce me to that genre and I can’t seem to get enough of it now. The Wandering Isles is just as amazing. The characters are original and so detailed. The storyline just sucked me in from the first page and I couldn’t put the book down until the last. I’m glad to be following Ian and Jarryd on this dark fantasy adventure. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in this series. I highly recommend all of C.L. Schneider’s books butif you haven’t read any yet, this is a great place to start!
