Bonds That Beckon by Kelli Kimble is the first book in the Daughters of Anubis series. This is a young adult paranormal story with a strong premise. I enjoyed the overall story on this book and could clearly see what the author was trying to achieve. I did at times struggle with the characters a little, I didn’t always fully connect with them. However their journey combined with the story made for a great read the whole way through.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and while I felt there were a coupon of bits that could have just done with a bit more work I definitely enjoyed reading it. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
