Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven Book Two) by AJ Renee was a really good read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. This is the second in the series, and although I haven’t read the first installment yet, I didn’t feel too confused without reading the first book. I feel like reading the first book would definitely help, but I was fine without it. The characters were really well written to me, and I enjoyed the storyline. It was a very entertaining novel, with a lot of romance and some really steamy scenes. I can’t wait to read the next installment! Also as a warning, this definitely ends with a cliffhanger!

Goddess of Everything is a psychological thriller that will keep you turning the pages. This is not a quick read as there are many layers to the story. The imagery paints a vivid picture that you have to take your time to savor, and the characters are well developed and you feel as if you are living right alongside of them as you read. The author has done a great job of blending psychological and spiritual elements to weave a wonderfully dark tale.

Second Chance Spirit: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen is the second book in the Haunted Ever After series. As with any book that I have read by this author it is highly entertaining and one I just couldn’t put down. Carrie Pulkinen has a way of creating brilliant story supported by strong and exciting characters. You really connect with them and get drawn into the story – this one no exception. Right from the word go I was hooked. Tina and Trent were so good – I loved the fact that they had history together as it felt like it added even more depth to the story. The book is a great addition to this series and it has made me even more excited to read the next one.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this read but it was the season of love and a short story at only 17 pages so I figured why not! This book did not disappoint and packed a punch for the shortness of it. What a world that Maria DeBlassie formed so quickly. We get a unique spin on a love story that takes place after a zombie breakout changes the world and the dating landscape. I enjoyed how this flowed fast and well but also left room for more if the author wanted in the future to make more. I think this is the perfect alternative read to the normal sappy romances we get inundated with in the Valentine’s season.

This is the story of a summer, a summer unlike any other in Ben O’Rourke’s life and one which will change his life forever and one which is brought back to him while he makes a phone call 36 years after it occurred. Ben is the typical white prep school privileged boy who has gotten into an Ivy League College and is in a group of friends who are the same and made to grow up and live lives like their privileged parents
It is the summer of 1983 and Ben has just graduated from high school and is going to parties with his friend Clint and the rest of the guys he hangs out with, but this one particular party, Ben has been getting stoned and drunk, he talks to people, one girl in particular, Claire talks to him longer than most, so while searching for her to tell him where the bathroom is, he accidentally falls upon something which is as distasteful to him as anything could be, but in his current state is nothing that he can do anything to help the girl involved, apart from to lock a door and hope for the best. After attending mass and trying unsuccessfully to concentrate on it, Ben decides to call his sister when he is alone in the house and ask for advice about the situation he cannot stop thinking about, but he is basically told to forget it ever happened and move on with his life, but when he finds out that it is Claire, he is even more disgusted with those involved.
As the days move ahead and graduation and homecoming are looming, thoughts turn to that and the holiday to Europe he is going on with his family, but Ben is still trying to avoid the girl, especially when their schools are collaborating on the school events and when they are both over, Ben, Clint and their friends head to another wild party, but when Clint leaves him on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere after to make his own way home. As he is trying to walk around, he experiences some unusual things and blames the things he sees on all the drink and drugs he consumed at the party, fortunately, he is saved from walking any further when he is picked up by two siblings, Puppy and her brother in a beaten up old truck, it turns out he was trespassing on their land, so he apologises and offers to pay for the petrol they used to take him home.
The next time he talks to Clint, it turns out that he wants to go and buy some flowers for his mum, so he agrees to go and so they go out of town to get them and it turns out that the girl who picked him up works their and the way Clint behaves around her is awful, makes Ben come to the realisation that maybe it isn’t a good thing to be friends with Clint if he treats him and others in that way. It is after this that Ben decides not to go on holiday with his family and that he needs the time to become used to being on his own instead, they aren’t happy about it but they agree and this is where Ben’s real summer starts.
This coming of age romance is a whirlwind of emotions and experiences which are well worth reading as you experience everything with Ben and relive the summer which changed his life.

I was thoroughly ready and excited to get my hands on this third book in Naomi Valkyrie’s Life is Hell series. I knew that the adventure that awaited me would suck me in and keep me until the last page, so I settled in and dove right in. This book in my opinion should be read after the first two. We get familiar with the landscape and the world that has been created by Valkyrie. It is a vivid one and you will feel as if you have dove right into the story and are experiencing things right along with the characters. I really was excited to see what Teivel and Oran would get as far as a story. I must point out too that I normally don’t enjoy M/M genre reads because they can turn into a bit overwritten and with not much couth so the romance is lost for me, but this one was just right and not overly written that it was a beautiful love story layer to the book. I won’t give much more details to the story away because this is one world you must experience for yourself! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment!!

This college romance will sweep you into its pages and have you embracing every emotion. Copeland does a beautiful job weaving this story well and having it feel very relatable regardless of which stage of life the reader may be in. I enjoyed following Amanda on this journey. I know what you are thinking this book is about… that cover and title really draws your attention right away. I had never read/listened to anything from JD Frettier before so I had no idea what to expect. JD Frettier, you are a clever mind! I adored this fast ride to the afterlife. At just under fifty pages we get a big story in a small package that makes you feel the gambit of emotions.
In Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine you have the story of Bonnie McMillan. In the summer of 1969 bonne and her husband met at the infamous Woodstock. A life of hippie style love and sex, is what they have lived for a wonderful forty-seven years. All of that is changed and ripped away in one night of raunchy fun together. Bonnie finds herself in what they call ‘the green room’. She embarks on a mission to reinvent herself and find a way back to ‘sixty-nine’. What a journey it is too! I can’t wait to see what will come next in the second book in the series.

I have yet to come across a India Kells novel that I didn’t absolutely adore and devour and this one, Night Justice, is no exception to the rule. I do enjoy the way that India Kells can weave a deep and emotional, yet gripping story that has a clear and loud plot mixed in with the passion she writes so well. I sincerely love the suspense novels that she does and this one would have to be on the top of that list of favs.
In Night Justice, A Chicago Vigilantes Novel, we get to follow Orla, a determined reporter with a mission. She must find a way to stop the distribution of a new drug that is terrorizing Chicago while also searching for a Vigilante with his own ideas of justice at play in the city. These will develop a team that will be unstoppable if they can get over their feelings and insecurities. Will she be able to do all of this and find love in the process? This book will take you on a crazy ride through Chicago and bend your mind as you try to figure out all pieces of the puzzle and where they fit! This book definitely took me back in time to my childhood, reminiscent of the Nancy Drew books I devoured one after the other as a young girl. The buccaneers of St Fredericks Island is about a young group of aspiring detectives who raise money for a group of children in NYC. The money is stolen and their clubhouse is burned down. These young, brave kiddos set out to solve these mysteries and find out if they are connected. Little do they know they will uncover a deeper threat to the people of the Island. The illustrations were a nice added touch to the story. I’d say the book is aimed at younger children in the 8-12 category or so but I found myself becoming invested in these characters and enjoying the story as it went on. The characters were fun and the tale intriguing. Overall this was a very pleasant, easy read. I look forward to letting my children enjoy this lovely mystery as well.

Gunner is the 6th book in the Eidolon series by Maddie Wade. Maddie Wade is an author I have become a huge fan of after reading the Tightrope book and the Fortis Security Series. I have the boxed set of the first 5 Eidolon books on my kindle and I’m sad to say that I’ve only read the first one so far but after reading Gunner and getting to know the Eidolon guys (and their better halves) I can’t wait to read the others in the series. Gunner has become estranges from the Eidolon team after an incident involving his sister but needs their help when Lacey Cannon, a woman he has rescued in the past becomes in danger. I absolutely loved Gunner and Lacey’s story and I have to admit to it having me in tears on several occasions, particularly in the prologue where I cried ugly tears. This is a fantastic story that will drag you through every emotion. If you are an emotional sod like me then I’d advise tissues. Gunner’s past has truly has a major effect on the man he has become and his story both fascinating and heartbreaking. I adored Lacey too. She’s admired Gunner from afar ever since he saved her previously and she has to rely on him again when her life becomes in danger. I love how Maddie Wade can entwine a great romance story with a fast paced, dramatic, dangerous, thrilling story that runs alongside and keeps the reader gripped from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go. Would give this more than 5 stars if I could.

This was an interesting coming of age story. It is written from a first person point of view and we follow Ben through his journey from leaving school to university and life beyond.
There is an event that happens just before he graduates which leaves him reeling and feeling guilt and remorse. He finds a young girl naked on the bed at a party and it seems she has been raped by several of the party goers.
Because of his response or lack of response he spends his life feeling guilt for his lack of action. And a promise he makes that summer comes back to haunt him.
The story twists and turns but it all revolves around that experience and how it made him feel and react. It was interesting to read the story from a witness to the crime and seeing how it affected him instead of just being the view of the victim and criminal.

This is the third book in the Life is Hell series. This is a Paranormal Romance novel and comes in at around 150 pages. This story follows Teivel, a demon, and Oren, a demon hunter. Oren is new to this whole demon hunter thing. He recently found out he was a hunter, but there is no one that can assist him on how this all works, so it is a tad overwhelming. Like trying to figure out how the whole demon/demon hunter relationship will work was not tricky enough, a baby gets left on Oren’s doorstep. There was so much to love about this book and a totally unpredictable twist thrown in too!

This story is a crime thriller and comes in at around 250 pages. This story follows Cade, an investigator with the State Patrol in Minnesota. He is tasked with finding a killer who is murdering women. The killer has been murdering blondes and making it look like an accident. Definitely a thrilling read with plenty of twists. I thought the plot was good and the characters were well written.

This isn’t my first read by this author and it definitely won’t be my last, each book that Amy McKinley brings you can guarantee that you will be hooked from the very beginning, and this one is no different. This read is fast-paced, action-packed, suspenseful, it has romance, heartbreak and danger. It has twists and turns that have you on the edge of your seat and high emotions throughout that left me wanting more. I absolutely loved following Kayla and Jaxson’s story, it captivated me from the very beginning and I couldn’t help but hope that after everything they go through that they find a way through and both get a HEA that they both deserve. I highly recommend this read and this author, this is a series not to be missed!

Learning to Live by Kira Adams is book one of the Infinite Love series.
I could not get enough of this book! I read it in one sitting and definitely wasn’t expecting it to turn out the way it did. I couldn’t stop reading until I knew what was going to happen! Ciera is just trying to make it through each day. She has to deal with bullies and mean pranks but she just had to get through the days. Topher is accustomed to living life a certain way. He didn’t really care too much about anyone other than himself. All it took was one look at Ciera after a little shopping trip with Madalynne and Topher is intrigued. Ciera took everything Topher thought and flipped it on its head. Ciera thought for sure she’d have to rely on herself to make it through her senior year. She had no idea she really needed Topher.
This book had so many emotions. I found myself in tears more than once! So heart breaking but there were some cute moments between Topher and Ciera. He turned out better than I had expected. His character definitely grows on you. I can’t wait to read more!

I laughed from the start and didn’t stop until the story was finished. Carrie knows how to give her audience something to take them away from reality and immerse themselves in a fun and entertaining world. I love the way she writes her characters who are a little quirky and have idiosyncrasies.

This story was a beautifully crafted dark read. The author takes you on a journey across the ocean. The world is never what it seems. Lives are at stake and either their bond will save them or destroy them. I was so shook while reading this story. So much happening that you’re constantly in a sense of thrill. Paranormal is a genre that keeps on giving. The author did amazing with the style and flow of this story. The characters were well written. The heroine was brilliantly written. I’ve never read a story with such intensity in the dialogue. Seriously had me looking for more it was so good.

At All is the third book in the Adam Brothers series by Mindy McKinley. This is my favourite of the series, so far- which took me by surprise, because having met Sebastian previously I wasn’t sure I was going like him at all. This is an enemies to lovers contemporary romance- with drama, music, tension, steam, and emotion . This is Sebastian (Seb) and Maelie’s story. Seb’s bad choices have resulted in his forced time away from the band. He’ll need to prove he’s recovered, before he’ll be allowed back. He decides to give lessons as a way of filling in time and keep him connected to music. He thinks it will be a breeze. Bet reality proves him wrong. Add Maelie to the mix, with her own complications- and this story had me avidly reading to find out how everything would play out. A wonderful addition to the series!

J.D. Frettier had me belly laughing again with this, the second installment of The Green Room Chronicles. Linda, Bonnie and Dee become the infamous trio and takes over the Green Room with their HILARIOUS vengeance plans. The spell that Edwina did…… hell has no fury like a woman scorned. If you’re looking for a laugh you’ll definitely enjoy this.

Learning to Live: An Enemy to Lovers Ugly Cry is the first book in the Infinite Love series by Kira Adams. I was so not ready for the emotional walloping that comes with this book. This is both a heartbreaking and touching love story- bringing up a myriad of emotions as I followed the characters through all their ups and downs. I loved Ciera and really felt for everything she went through. I wasn’t so keen on Topher at the beginning- but he did win me over after a while- much to my surprise. There is a sweetness to their story too- which I wasn’t expecting either. But that ending- no words- sooo many tears. GAH! I really don’t want to go into the story and give anything away which would ruin it for you. But if you love a heart-wrenching and emotional reads- then this is definitely the book for you.

I don’t generally like zombies or the apocalyptic theme but having read the author’s writing in the past and knowing this story was less than 20 pages I figured there was nothing to lose. Honestly, I am lost for words. I have so much to say about this short story, yet no way to articulate how it made me feel. The imagery was fantastic. The characters were eery but symbolic of dating in the age of social media. I could write a hundred words but never be able to give Hungry Business ( or Maria Deblassie) the credit it deserves. Highly recommend.

This was such a unique and interesting paranormal romance. There are creatures in this story we don’t see much of in this genre. In this day and age, it becomes increasingly more difficult to not read about the same creatures over and over. The way the author uses them is also different but at the same time oh so entertaining. The main characters are real and endearing. Emma comes to learn and accept more and more as the book goes on. To me, the best part of the story was the tests. This is where the characters and story really shine. Not to mention that it is set in England, where there is already so much history and magic. I hope there will be more books set in this world with these characters in the future.
If you are a fan of paranormal romance, this fun story is for you. I could not put it down until I was finished.

Killer Blonde by Allan Evans was a thrilling 4 star read. You get pulled in right from the beginning and you put your detective cap on right along with the characters.
Cade is a detective with some experience under his belt. When he gets called to the scene of an accident he quickly discovers that there is more than originally thought. There are several cases that seem to have a connection, blonde sophisticated women dying in car accidents, but are they really?
The killer likes to stalk his targets and learn their patterns before he attacks them. Will Cade be able to figure out who the killer is before any more lives are taken?
Overall this was a thrilling nail biting read. We get a dual POV between Cade and the killer, which I loved. I like books that keep you guessing to the end on who it can be. This fell a little short for me since we discovered who the killer sooner than I would have liked to. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.

I enjoyed this book by Kat Caulberg. It introduced to me something new to me as I had not ever heard of the legend of a Shuck. I found this legend very interesting. Kat Caulberg created a vibrant world and I found myself lost in the wonder of that world. I also enjoyed the story of Tobias and Emma. I found it very moving and really liked following their journey to finding each other. Kat Caulberg is definitely an author that I will enjoy reading more from.

Gunner: An Eidolon Black Ops Novel by Maddie Wade is a is a romantic suspense story. Maddie is an accomplished writer where her narrative is enthralling, engaging and compelling and leave you wanting more. Maddie is a master of weaving intrigue and bringing it all together to bring us something truly masterful. Gunner is full of action and danger, drama and secrets that will have you on the edge of your seat and heart pumping. Her characters make you fall in love with them and make you feel like you are part of their lives and their families.
Gunner needs to make amens for walking away from his brothers in arms, but will they accept him back? Along the way he meets one of his rescues and maybe, just maybe they were meant to be something more for each other and a way to heal from their pasts.
I look forward to reading more of Maddie’s work and what she brings us next.
