Georgia Clay (Southern Promises Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by Ashley Dover

Georgia Clay (Southern Promises, #1)Georgia Clay by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Katie Parker is running late for her ten year class reunion. She hates being late, but she doesn’t let that spoil her fun when her best friend Stacey is reunited with her old boyfriend, Brent. Stacey wants her to finally meet someone, so that Katie has a life outside of her work. Katie has become a workaholic since graduating from college which has put her at the top in the insurance business.

Clay Watkins is known as “Georgia Clay” in Nashville. His songwriting career has taken off, and he’s written several number one hits. He attends the same class reunion as Katie. He had only attended Lakeview High School during his senior year, Katie has made his time bearable by being kind. She didn’t know it then, but he has always had a crush on her.

Literally bumping into Clay as she came out of the restroom, Katie is tongue-tied for the first time in her life. What is it about those gorgeous caramel colored eyes that makes her weak in the knees? After a sweet and romantic night by the river, these two people are enamored with one another. But Clay lives in Nashville, TN, and Katie lives in Atlanta, GA. That’s a four hour drive on a reasonable day. Can they make the distance work?
