A Hundred Wishes (Band of Sisters) by Marianne Rice – Review by Candida Hopper

A Hundred Wishes (Band of Sisters)A Hundred Wishes by Marianne Rice
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Gina is a very strong independent woman. She got injured pretty badly in a roadside bomb and even though she’s physically healed there are some emotional scars. Gina has been through quite a bit of stuff in her life which is why she’s such a strong woman, plus she has a close knit set of friends that she calls her sisters, who are there for her.
Bryce meets Gina at a crafting fair and he finds her very attractive. He tries to talk to her and she shuts that down quickly. These two happen to see each other again and the chemistry is very apparent. Bryce asks Gina out but she turns him down because of a misunderstanding. After the misunderstanding is cleared up they end up enjoying each other’s company but Gina has her heart guarded and tells herself she won’t be anything but friends with him. In this story we see both of them learn more about each other. Can Gina get past her insecurities to make it work? Can Bryce get past his fears? To find these things out you must read this wonderful story. This book hits on a lot of different emotions and makes it a good read. I can’t wait to read the next one. I recommend this book.
