Theo and Tia are two of the most well-written characters I have come across in a bit. Tia has escaped from an abusive relationship and has walls up around her. You feel them as you are reading. You feel the emotions she is experiencing. Theo is in law enforcement recovering from an injury. Their paths cross and he feels she’s hiding something. He’s attracted but wants to help her. The chemistry is off the charts! I love how its set with an alternative medicine touch. Her ex is downright creepy and dangerous. The tension is real; the characters are relatable. Toss a little spice in there and you have a terrific story. I’d give it more than a 5 if I could. Highly recommend.
