This gripping story might be meant for the YA crowd but had me glued to my screen reading every last word. I felt what Rourke felt. I worried when Rourke worried. I nearly fell apart when he cried at the fire. I mourned the loss of Sam with Rourke. The author understood this young man. The care and concern shown by the author when discussing and handling Carson’s and Grace’s issues is phenomenal. The growth shown by Rourke during this book was fantastic.

Whether you are in middle school or were ever in middle school, have a special needs sibling, know a bully, or have friends, you should read this book.

This is a romance that I fell in love with. Layla is a personal assistant to Max, real estate agent and local cad. She dreams of being an artist. Her idol is Diablo, a comic book hero drawn by Vic Williams. She loves the strength and confidence Diablo shows. Turns out, Layla is a badass creator herself and creates a cosplay costume of Diablo that has even Vic Williams and Daisy Jones themselves noticing her. She and Vic start a long distance romance. Can this work? This was a fantastic book. Having a plot around a Cosplay convention was such a fun story because, as I mentioned, Layla doesn’t realize she is strong and confident. She tends to feel self-conscious around what social media says. I can relate. Long distance relationships are hard and can be a struggle so this was totally relatable. Vic and Layla did a good job of building the friendship but Alex would throw wrenches in the mix. The plot twists were great. They fit into the story just right. Well-written, lots of romance and adventure, and so much fun. I would definitely give this book more than a 5 if I could. I hope the author will do more romance along the cosplay line. Fantastic!!!!!

Rhyann came to New York from Kansas to go dancing school. She got the chance of a lifetime scholarship. Mason is a Titan of Manhattan. These two meet up at a nightclub and it’s an explosion of chemistry. Rhyann’s roommate gets her a job at Mason’s club as a stripper so she can make some money for school. Mason falls for her and that throws a wrench in the works. Oh my goodness, the spice is hot and sexy. The romance is fun and entertaining for the most part. Because of the job and being a strip club, there are some issues. But can Rhyann and Mason work through this? These two are perfect for each other if they would accept it. The author creates really interesting characters that feel like they are people you may have crossed paths with. They are very relatable. You have friends, enemies and just plain schmucks.

I enjoyed this cute romance story. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed and look forward to reading more in the future. I found this book to be a well written story where the characters pulled me into the story from the beginning. They are unique characters that are not only relatable but also have great chemistry throughout. I also enjoyed watching their growth as well. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and is hard to put down. A story that is full of romance with a superhero but also a second chance at love. I really enjoyed this story and what the characters brought to the story. There is great plot growth which makes the story easy to read. This is an entertaining story that brought different emotions throughout. A really enjoyable story that I highly recommend.

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up and have enjoyed reading from their first book. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is their ability to pull me into the story from the beginning. The story is well written and the characters pop off the pages. This story is no different. It is an engaging story that is fast paced and the characters bring the story to life on each page. I enjoyed the characters’ chemistry as well as their growth throughout the story. They bring suspense as well as heating up the pages. Rhyann is determined to follow her dream and fill her goals. What will happen when her life suddenly changes. She finds herself in a world of temptation, lust, and seduction. Mason is a club owner who has two rules, never mix work with pleasure and always keep sex casaul. This seems to work for him until he hires Rhyann as a dancer. As the story goes, he is pulled by his past and she is pulled by her future but together they create a bond that cannot be resisted. What happens with these two, you need to read this story to find out. Their story is worth the pick up for sure. They truly made the story for me. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Wow the author has done it again! I have been entranced in this series and was sad when I finished this book as it means that I finished a wonderful story! In this book, the story is focused on Mason and Rhyann. Mason is another successful man who owns a nightclub who is used to getting what he wants. Rhyann is a girl who has had a hard life who needs money and fast. Who would have thought that a one-night stand would change everything? This is the start of their story, and it is steamy, wonderful and a great read! I highly recommend reading this book if you love great romance stories!!

Class Clown (Ghost Girl Series) by Allan Evans

Class Clown is part of the Ghost Girl Series and I truly enjoyed reading this YA/Paranormal story. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect going in but once I started I found myself having a hard time putting it down. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what other books they . It started out a bit slow but definitely picked up the pace pretty quickly and the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This is a story about Abbey, she seems to have some pretty cool super powers. These super powers give her the ability to see ghosts and interact with them. She goes to the circus with her parents and a ghost clown follows her home. Abbey finds herself seeing clowns everywhere she goes and when her friends start disappearing from school she she has a feeling the clowns may be involved. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I definitely can’t wait to read more from this Author.

I really enjoyed this fast paced romance. The author does an amazing job with the characters. It’s a real fairytale romance of a poor girl finding a rich guy and all the ups and downs they need to go through to be together. I really loved Regan’s character. She is a young girl who hasn’t got the best family life but who is determined to change and make.her future better. You really feel her emotions, and her embarrassment about her family and where is comes from is evident from the beginning.
When Jeremy and wealthy business man walks into the diner that Regan works at there is an instant connection but Regan isn’t prepared to open up to him straight away.
What follows is a story about 2 people finding out that they aren’t so different and that just because you have money doesn’t change the person you are.
Jeremy is always kind and respectful to Regan. The emotions from him are feelings of attraction but also caring as he gets to know her and her story.

However things aren’t all rosey and when Jeremy’s parents find out that he us dating a girl who is less than acceptable for their son things start to get confusing as Regan and Jeremy fight to prove that others are wrong and what they feel is real and true.

Bottom of the Chains - Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC #2)Bottom of the Chains – Prospect by D.M. Earl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in this series where supernatural and MC’s combine to entice and tantalize. As with the first book Behemoth, Bottom of the Chains is a story that delights the senses. The story was engaging and intriguing. This story is fast paced and enjoyable. There is drama, angst, and suspense as we learn more about these men and their women that DM has created.
We meet with old friends from the first book. The characters are well written and easy to connect with. When it comes to Bullet and Clementine the chemistry between them is flirty and sexy and their banter is fun.
Bullet has had plenty of pain and suffering in his life and has now found the family he needs. But when things go wrong, he feels as if he has let them down and is determined to make things right.
There is so much in the future or the Grimm Wolves MC.

Class Clown (Ghost Girl Series) by Allan Evans – Review by Beverly Finnie

Class ClownClass Clown by Allan Evans
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well I couldn’t put it down, and when I tried a few hours later I had to finish it. I loved it! Class Clown was definitely a book off the beaten path for me. Not usually my cup of tea. What attracted me though was the “Ghost Whisper” aspect of it.
Abbey has a thing, that thing is she can communicate with ghosts. After joining her family at the circus, Abbey starts seeing ghost clowns. Everyone’s worst nightmare, right? What happens when her friends and fellow soccer players start disappearing? She’s still being stalked by clown ghosts and doesn’t know why. She also feels those same ghosts are behind the disappearances of her friends. But, are they? How can a ghost take someone, they are just an entity after all. Abbey does everything she can to get to the bottom of her friends’ disappearances, while helping a few ghosts along the way.
Does she figure it out?
What do the clown ghosts want?
It’s different but really good, I definitely recommend this book to anyone who comes across it. Be mindful though if you’re afraid of clowns, proceed with caution as this book can very well be a trigger of your fear. Otherwise Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this sweet book. It really made me want to reevaluate my relationship with God and learn to trust him with any and all of my life decisions. I felt like Juliet was slightly annoying, I felt like she was more pressuring Jake at one point early on in the book, to accept God, but then realized that he had no problem with religion, it was his broken heart holding him back. I appreciate how courageous, independent and willful Juliet was, she left her home, her friends, her job and all she knew to follow God’s calling to stay in this town to help. The ending had me smiling and I was overjoyed with the epilogue. I can’t wait to check out more by this author.

Interesting read. I will be honest, I did not read the first book, I feel like there were holes that would have been filled had I read the first book, so I definitely recommend reading them in order. I really enjoyed the first part of the book the most. Reading of the life of Small Brother and the tribe. I was devastated with the way the Shaman reacted and handled things, I was fully invested in Small Brother’s life and was excited to see him bond and live with the tribe and Old Father. Reading of Stalker was interesting but not as exciting for me as the first and 4th parts. I was happy to learn that Tristan was able to see Harry again after so long but, Elena was getting on my nerves with not being readily accepting of him. Who wouldn’t want to talk to bugs?

Wonderful! This was an excellent fairytale style story, something I haven’t read before. If I were Cathal it would be hard to forgive my grandmother for the suffering growing up, but Cathal is an amazing human and could understand her reasons and still loved her and cherished her. I love Cathal and Eala as a couple, they are super sweet, kind, caring and just all around great people or magical creatures and deserve every bit of happiness, especially with how they have both lived thus far. Eala enslaved to the king for years and Cathal always getting punished in place of his evil brother. The way the story flowed so nicely and everything came together in the end, it truly read like a fairytale. I highly recommend for any romance and fairytale lover.

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is the first book in this series and what a start it is. I can’t wait to see what this author has for us next in this series. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the creative, unique characters. The author’s use of details made the characters not only pop but also made them come to life on each page. This is a faster paced story that has twists and turns that kept me turning pages fast. A story that is full of action plus a man from no place kills, and an immortal child that could be the key to the whole thing. A fast paced story that has connectable characters that had me coming back for more. There is alot going on in this story but the author did a great job of transitions and keeping things flowing. I really enjoyed this hard to put down story. I highly recommend it.

This is a story that is full of action, romance and twists and turns that will leave you turning pages fast. Where the characters are connectable and have great chemistry. I enjoyed watching their growth as well as the growth of the plot. I found this story to be fast paced and hard to put down. This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up. I never hesitate to pick up one of her books as I know what I am in for. I was pulled into the story by the creative, engaging characters. I enjoyed their growth throughout the story which made it easy to read. They are connectable and had me coming back for more. They bring a lot to the story. This is a shorter, fast paced story that I read in one sitting. This is a story about how the MC took in a prospect but keeps letting them down. Now is faced with showing that he is worth their trouble and can be useful. You don’t want to miss what happens in this story, it is worth the pick up and a must read. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous book as it is that great. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Juliet’s Journey to Love (Great Smoky Mountain Getaways Book 1) by Elsie Davis – Review by Jenni Bishop

Juliet's Journey to Love (Great Smoky Mountain Getaways, #4)Juliet’s Journey to Love by Elsie Davis
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A clean Christian romance that is set in a small town, and it is about loss and love and testing one’s faith. It is bit of an emotional heart felt tale.
Juliet is strong and knows what she wants. She is compassionate and she is helping others to heal in mind, body, and soul and loves what she does.
He is a grumpy grizzly bear of a mountain man but underneath it all he really was just a cuddly bear and meeting Juliet was just what he needed.
What I didn’t like was the way our main character seemed to force religion on others even when they were not wanting it. I believe if you want religion, you will seek it yourself without it being forced on you and that is what I felt this character was doing. You don’t have to believe in God to have faith.
If you love Christian romance stories, then you will probably like this one.

Love's Full CircleLove’s Full Circle by Cherry Christensen
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a clean Christian romance story where lost love has the chance to become more once again. The writing is good, and the premise is to, but I couldn’t really connect with the characters. They were together in high school and him being a hormonal teenager wanted more but she stuck to her guns (good girl), and he moved on. I wanted to smack him.
Years later coming face to face with their past he knows he made a mistake and wants to fix things. He wants to see if they can make things work now as adults. She is his one that got away after all. However, she is unforgiving and unable to let go of the past. I don’t condone what he did, but they were kids when she was hurt and I understand her hurt BUT she is and adult now, but she doesn’t act like it. I really wanted to smack her too at times.
All in all, I was really frustrated with the way these two were regarding their relationships past and present, but the writing is good.
There is a message in this second chance romance to believe in yourself and know your morals but there is also room for forgiveness.
Just because it didn’t gel for me doesn’t mean you should not give it a go especially if you love clean romance stories.

The Prisoner of the Dead: Zombie Thriller Dystopia (Dead World Book 1)The Prisoner of the Dead: Zombie Thriller Dystopia by Megan Mackie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Megan gives us an interesting apocalyptic dystopian world tale where the characters are in the midst of a virus outbreak causing zombies to run rampant. They are in a never-ending cycle that just keeps on going as the virus keeps on returning and along with it the undead keep rising.
Baron is a survivalist and has been through hell and back and he is no stranger to killing. When he finds an immortal, she may just be the key to ending it all.
Overall, the book was entertaining, and Megan’s world building is interesting. There is lots of action, thrills and mayhem and surprises.
If you love zombies, you will like this tale from this eclectic author.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Clowns and I on a good day don’t mix. But now I read about a clown apocalypse in this creepy YA tale. Unique, suspense, mystery, and thriller describe what the author has going on in this tale. It is fast paced with an intriguing plot. There was something just out of reach around each corner to make this a story spookier. With drama and angst, ghosts and dead clowns, people missing and teenagers there is something for all to enjoy.
Abbey’s always been a bit different but that different is not something she relishes; no if she had her way, she would rather not have that something and now her world has turned upside down. She is going to need all her strength and determination if she wants to stop this invasion.
I am sure YA’s and those that aren’t afraid of clowns will absolutely love Abbey and her ghostly adventure story.

I liked the flow of the story. It is very smooth and easy to follow along with. I did have a few different places I struggled. I almost feel incomplete. The storyline with the issues of Grace and Damien did not get closed. Then after half way the story turns to the club and all kinds of different possible future scenarios. Again nothing was completed…sounds like it will all continue in the next book. My personal opinion would be for the club business be mixed in with the romance.

Stitch had my heart breaking for him from the beginning. I really thought he would have issue with forming a relationship..not jump into calling her baby. Damien is a godsend! Little kids add so much and Damien is no different. Grace had her struggles but seems to overcome them easily and move forward.

Overall this is a good read. Since it rolls along and is smooth I will give it three stars and a half. Just don’t get too hung up on proper protocol in the MC or how one thing stopped and another started half way. Seems like two stories added together.

It Just Comes Natural (Powder River Pack Book 3) by Brooke May – Review by Kerry Carr

It Just Comes NaturalIt Just Comes Natural by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoy this authors books. I love the paranormal romance and how the story evolves. This the 3rd book in the Powder River series. Even though reading from.the beginning will enhance the story its not essential as this book can be read as a standalone. The author does an amazing job of making the paranormal feel normal and the growth of the characters through the books keeps the reader hooked.
In this book we follow the story of Brandon and Macy.

Brandon is part of the Powder River werewolf pack. He has his life mapped out and is happy with his choice to join the military. That is until the night before he is due to leave when he bumps into a woman who is his fated mate. Now torn between doing what he was going to do and being with this woman he just met he decides to leave but can never forget her. After he returns he decides it’s time to finally find and be with his fated mate.

Macy has a lot of expectations placed on her. She struggles to constantly be a good daughter and do the right thing. So when her friend drags her away for one night of madness she gives in and goes wild. This one moment of madness ends up with her losing everything.
However Macy is a strong determined woman and through all the ups and downs she gets through it all but she feels like something is missing. Could it be something to do with Brandon? Is she feeling the pull towards him as he is to her?

This story is definately a rollercoast of a ride that keeps the reader gripped. This book is full of drama, love both lost and found and shifters falling in love. What more could you want for a fantastic romance with surprises along the way.

The Prisoner of the Dead (Dead World Book 1) by Megan Mackie – Review by Shelly Kittell

The Prisoner of the Dead: Zombie Thriller Dystopia (Dead World Book 1)The Prisoner of the Dead: Zombie Thriller Dystopia by Megan Mackie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was a sweet change from your usual end-of-the-world zombie tales. Baron is just trying to survive a zombie apocalypse and finds himself prisoner to Thalia. Once you start you just can’t put it down. Baron is just trying to lay low but once he finds trouble all hell breaks loose. The characters are fantastic. Baron is rebellious, yet he’s just trying to survive. Thalia is a bit badass, yet just trying to save her people. The supporting characters cracked me up. They just all meshed together. The plot all came together. I found it to be refreshing. As I said, a nice change from the usual zombie plots, thank you! I would give more than a 5 if I could. Now, from one reader to the other, get out there and buy this book. You’ll love it.
