This was a fantastic follow up to the first book in the Guardians of the Garden series. It is a YA fantasy series, but as an adult I am also very captivated by the stories. I think I enjoyed this book more than the first one because it contained some amazing action sequences. I loved how she incorporated the sacred stories with the old wives’ tales. I thought that it really brought the storyline dynamic out. While this is part of a series, it’s my opinion that you could read them separately without having to read in order. But I of course would suggest reading them in order. I do highly recommend this book and hope that you will give it a read.

This is a lovely romance story. It is really well written and the author does an amazing job of bringing the story and the romance to life. Right down to the name of the place Cupid’s Cove. The characters are well written and really likeable. I love Lara’s character. For a young woman she is very determined and knows what she wants in life. I also love that at the end of every chapter is a recipe for something sweet and tasty really bringing the bakery theme and sweet treats to life.

After a failed relationship Lara swears off men and romance and decides to focus all her attention on the family bakery. Things are going good until her father decides to allow another bakery to be open. Feeling betrayed by her dad Lara has a instant dislike for the new place and owner and as the owners plans become more realised she thinks it is all a publicity stunt. I mean who can find love by eating cookies?

Graham has given up everything in his life for this one chance to make his business successful. He thinks he has a winning combination. A bakery selling mouthwatering cookies and a dating app that allows people to find love. What he doesn’t expect is to find love with the sassy daughter of the Mayor who wants to see him as a enemy.

This story has it all to keep the reader entertained and wanting to know what happens next. Will their cookies be a match? But as with most romances it isn’t straight forward, with town gossip, the local radio station and everyone wanting a bit of this budding romance can Lara and Graham make it work?

I don’t know that I was ever able to put into words the angst I felt as a middle schooler quite as wonderfully as this author has. She has opened up a window into the minds of middles schools so perfectly. Rourke is about to start 7th grade and he is so excited for the best school year possible but things just aren’t going his way. Carson is his older autistic brother who just loves his younger brother. Rourke wants to be a great brother and protect Carson but he also wants to be a kid.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has a middle schooler or ever went to middle school.

Behemoth is the first instalment in the Grimm Wolves MC series by D.M Earl. This isn’t the first book of Ms. Earl’s that I have read, but it is definitely my favourite (so far). It is a MC romance- with a bit of a paranormal touch that made this story even more interesting. The author has managed to blend a few popular themes- firefighters, MC, and the paranormal- and the end result is quite an engaging story.
We meet a man, Francis (Stitch) who is both a firefighter, as well as a member of a motorcycle club. He also has a secret that he has carried for as long as he can remember. One that has been a heavy burden at times. He holds himself back from life- taking part, but not truly living. But all that changes when he meets a young boy named Damien, and his mother Grace. What happens next makes for a sweet, feelgood, and intriguing story.
Looking forward to reading the rest of this series. Bring on Book #2…

(Un)Loved (Mixed Emotions Book 1)

As much as I enjoyed this book I also found myself getting quite frustrated with Sophie and Gil I wanted them to just figure it all out and be happy, but good things happen or patience is a virtue or something like that.

Their time in France with his family and the animals was my favorite time, i know i giggled a few times.  I mean how can you go wrong when llamas and other animals are involved?

There are so many little things about this book that made me enjoy it.  Gil’s family definitely took a little piece of my heart with them.

Doctor in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 3)

I have been looking forward to this book since finishing the last and I wasn’t disappointed.   There is something about finding love in the Outback that I have enjoyed.

Scott has watched his twin and younger brother find love and was ready for it to be his turn but didn’t expect to find it in such a remote area.

Franceen held on to the pain and guilt for too long and was okay with being on her own, at least she thought so until she stops fighting her feelings.

This was a great book to get lost in and enjoy.

This second book in the series was just a good as the first story! Anton is a super famous actor who has everything he wants except for someone to share this with. When he meets Elsa when she is showing him a property everything chances in that instance. They are two wonderful characters that go through so much heartache and hard times. Every chapter, every word had me on pins and needles wondering how one was going to react to the other for things happening. If you love a great romance story where the characters overcome or have to go through many hard times on their way to happiness, then this book is for you!

I enjoyed this story. A story of love, faith, life and really just not giving up. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I enjoyed the author’s writing style and attention to details to make the story realistic and kept me coming back for more. This is a well written story that has characters that not only bring the story to life but also keep the story engaging. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down and entertaining to read. I enjoyed how inspirational this story is and took me on a little bit of an emotional ride. The characters are connectable and really just made the story for me. I enjoyed their growth as well as their chemistry. They are strong, supportive characters that pulled me into their story from the start. A truly great story that filled my afternoon with entertainment. I highly recommend this story.

This book was a fantastic read and one of my new favorites that I have read in a long time. The male character, Caspian, is a strong character who works hard for what he wants. When his uncle is dying and tells him that you either do what I want, or you lose your place in the company this changes the course of the story. While Caspian is reeling with this revelation, he runs into an old acquaintance in the hospital, literally. Paisley is at the hospital trying to come up with a way to have money that will allow her to pay for her mother’s care as she is in a constant coma since the incident. This pivotal moment between characters changes everything and starts their amazing story. If you love a good romance story that has you on the edge of your seat needing to know what is to happen with a steamy romance story unfolding, then this book is for you! I cannot wait to read more books by this author!!

Graham has had enough of the big city job and stress, quitting his job as a marketing specialist he decides to set up his own business and where better to set up a dating app and bakery than Cupid Cove, the town itself will promote his new venture, but there is one thing in his way, Lara who already owns a bakery in the town and just happens to be the mayor’s daughter. Can he survive the competition and the back lash?

This story was full romance and just an all-round feel-good story. I loved the character of Lara who was sassy and a strong female character who worked so well with the banter and sparks which flew off the page between these two characters. The add element of the wonderful dialogue had this story jumping off the page, with the vulnerability of Graham leaving his secure job to follow his passion was lovely to read and the way the sparks fly between him and Lara it was a good to read.

I have read many books by this author and this book does not disappoint, can wait for the next book.

This is a book that I finished in an afternoon. The author has a wonderful way of writing and telling the characters stories that made me not want to put it down. This is the first book that I have read by the author, and I cannot wait to read more stories! Regan has not had an easy life and she no longer believes in happily ever after. Jeremy has nothing to lose as he tries desperately to prove that he is the best one to run the company. When they collide after all of these years’ sparks and anger flies. The book had a wonderful ending and if you love a good contemporary romance, then this is the book for you!!

But when things take a shocking turn, now the men are wondering who will win her heart and be the one for her. The second book cannot get here fast enough as I need to know what will happen and who Stella will choose.

Stella Magi is not a person who is known for her relaxing nature, her life is always at one hundred miles an hour. So, from her youth of drinking and partying she is now sober and in control of her career as a surgeon, but her love life is and will always be a train wreck.

She is living life to the full of three men on the go and managing to enjoy all the perks there is to offer but when something happens, and she then revaluates her life she wants more than friends with benefits relationship. Can she decide if one of the three is that man or does she need to look out for something else.

This story is full of chemistry and passion which seeps out of every character. Dr Stella Magi’s character is full of sass and determination, and I loved reading her story. The story was full of twists and turns and in the end some surprises. I enjoyed exploring the world of Stella and loved the interactions between all the characters within the book. The story was well written and the characters brilliantly crafted.

This is my first book I have read by this author, and I can’t wait to read more in the future.

I absolutely loved reading this fast paced short story that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. My only thing is I wish it was longer. I had many “laugh out loud moments throughout the book. The story flowed and the characters are fun and fully developed and I just loved them . I’ve read every book this author has written and this one just may be my favorite yet. This is a Paranormal story with a bit of Romance and its got a great mix of magic, drama , humor and romance. How will one Gumball change ones life? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next . I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

If looking for a quick read, this story will definitely fit the bill. The rumor of the legendary Dr. D circulated around Eastport Hospital. His sister refused unless an emergency required the procedure. His co-worker advised him to take a night off for himself. This is such a heart warming story. It’s really a journey through life and all of the difficulties and obstacles that can pop up along the way. Jake and Juliet seem like complete opposites at first, but they are brought together for a reason. Each is what the other needs most, if they can just let go and take a chance at life and love. Jack has been through so much and Juliet had given up on finding love but as they grow closer together, they both begin to change their outlook on life. This is such a good book that once I started reading I just couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Stella is living it up! This book absolutely sizzles! Stella is a surgeon at MetroGen and she lives life to the fullest. It’s so nice to see a woman being portrayed as in touch with her sexual needs and not afraid to have a little fun. Too often it’s only men that are portrayed that way. She has a whole lot of fun with three different men and there is a major plot twist along the way. I did not see the ending coming, my jaw literally dropped because it’s such a cliffhanger. I love how unique this story and the ending are and I cannot wait to read the next books in this series.

I have read a few of this author’s books and she always blows my mind. This is the third book of the Welcome to the Bunya Junction series. This book can be read as a stand alone. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the end and I can’t wait to see what she will write next.

Doctor Franceen Lewis is starting all over again. She just got over a horrible divorce and all she wants to do is help women. Franceen is hired at a small town hospital as an OB specialist. She is all business until she meets the handsome Dr. Carruthers. Franceen knows that Scott is her boss but she can’t help but being attracted to him. They start to fall for one another but she is afraid of getting hurt. Will Franceen be able to let her walls down or will the past be too hard for her to move on from?

My imagination went crazy with this book! Being a novella there was soo many things encompassed in the story to bring it to life. The author did a great job in making this story hilarious, quirky, romantic, dramatic, and everything needed to take a story outside the box. The characters fit perfectly together and in the story giving it a larger than life effect.

Hope is such a unique young woman with special abilities and a traumatizing past. She is just trying to survive and then “meets” Russ. Russ is such a sweetheart and he cares about his loved ones and will do anything for them. He’s just a normal guy trying to help out. Katy Hunter delivers a good one in the first book in the Mixed Emotions series, (Un)loved. The characters are well developed, although Gil seems a little too perfect (even with his fear of commitment) and Sophie is very dramatic (fitting though, since she is an actress). I like the change in scenery from France to L.A. although neither setting seemed to be the main focus in the story (France did get a little more read time as the more important scenes take place there). Overall, (Un)loved is a fairly quick, easy read. The love story here plays out a bit more realistically than most romance books, even though both characters are celebrities. I was impressed with Katy Hunter’s mix of characters as none of them were too similar to another. I would definitely read another book by Katy Hunter.

Lingering Spirits is the 4th book in the Soul Connection series. It shouldn’t be read alone, as you likely wont understand it. While this book focus’s on new characters Hope and Russ, the groundwork has been laid in the previous 3 books. The characters all build upon each other and are very close friends/family that work together. Each of them have their own past that has lead them to where they are today, which is not a simple explaination. This is a very interesting story, unlike anything I have read before. It is filled with paranormal, including talking to ghosts, having premenitions, telepathy abilities, out of body experiences, and more. I was really into this book, even more than the others. I stayed up far too late to finish it, but it was so worth it. I can’t wait until the next book, as the groundwork was already laid for it. I was left disappointed that we didn’t get to know what it was leading to, but at the same time, I look forward to the next book. The characters are all ah-mazing. Hope is a voice inside Russ’s head for months before they actually meet. He thinks he is going crazy, and doesn’t understand. But, based on his friends and their abilities, he keeps an open mind. This book will give you all the feels!

This was a 3.5 star read for me. I honestly really like the story, and I laughed more than once. It has the potential to be an amazing story I just couldn’t get that into it. The writing felt off to me. Not the story itself, but how it was executed. Is it supposed to be diary format? A journal/diary was introduced in the first chapter but it didn’t read like journal entries. And the timeline was so off I couldn’t tell where one scene ended and one began. Like I said above, I love the story itself and enjoyed the humor of the book. It was just off to me and this would 100% be a 5 star read to me if I could just make more sense of the time and how the scenes are executed. It felt a little rushed to me, may be what I’m trying to say. Either way I did enjoy this book and would read more from this author in the future!

All I can say is wow, what a great 5 star read. I was pulled right in and didn’t want to put it down. Dr. Stella Magi, oh my. She is a very busy Dr. in many ways, she has friends with benefits with three hot docs and loves it. That is until she starts to feel like she wants more. Will one of the hot Dr’s be willing to offer her more? There is a twist that makes things even more interesting.

Overall this was a very hot and steamy read. All of the characters were great. I will warn there is a heck of a cliff hanger that has me chomping at the bit for the next book. I need to see the next book now. If you like steamy reads then I suggest you 1-click and get started today on this one. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I continue to just love this series..The author does a fantastic job weaving in not only the main characters of this story of Scott and Franceen, but also continues to include other characters from the previous books, which I love. Scott is a smart, dedicated CEO of Waratah River Hospital but he is also fair, just and all about family. Franceen is the new OB-GYN doctor at the hospital who is a strong, determined and totally focused and I totally loved her character. Scott and Franceen have the perfect amount of spark and sizzle but also have to overcome obstacles of their past. Will they find the love they both deserve? Definitely read and find out.

Steamy, hot, fun!! A good story overall. More of a novella than a novel and I was able to read this one in about three to four hours. However it was three to four hours of enjoyment!!! Desmond and Emily are the perfect couple who are the absolute definition of opposites attract!!
This author gives a great read with in depth characters and a plot line that is both character and story driven. The characters become a central part of the plot and bring this story to life!! My only complaint is the end didn’t jive with the story line and a lot was left unfinished… maybe there will be another story to complete this but over all I say it’s a great, comfortable read.
