What happens when your past pounds on your door and you lose the little control you have over your own life?
This was a little rough for me to read.
This story was very quick and jam packed.
Surprise after surprise.
We continue the intensity of this motorcycle club.
This author has a way of making readers connect with each and every character.
I love that each book gives you new characters and keeps the love of others.
Each story goes in depth of the family that this club created.
Who is your favorite character? I do not have an answer.
This is a cute spin on the holidays.
Oh boy, this gets better with every page.
I wish they were longer, I want more of each story.

Until There Was You by G. Colgrove – Review by Tori Werkheiser

Until there was youUntil there was you by G. Colgrove
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ohh my, this book was fantastic. This story follows Regan, a southside local in Boston who meets Jeremy, the rich developer from LA. At first glance, Regan thinks she knows the kind of guy Jeremy is, the typical rich snob but once she gets to know him and they run into each other by chance she sees a different side to him. Can two people from completely different worlds fall in love and get their happily ever after is the question of this book. This love story was spicy and I didn’t expect it but loved it all the same. I appreciated the realness and heavy topics and the drama was just enough but not too far that it was overkill. I’m a sucker for dual POV and the epilogues always get me. This was a winner and it’s only the start of the month but this is a contender for best book of the month for me. 4.5/5

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved this book. It is such a fun romance book that was entertaining. I loved the authors take on these God’s and how she has created a fun story out of it. Although it was a Romance story she really kept the mythical element to it.
The interaction between the characters was great to see. I thought they were all dynamic and really easy to read about. As the first book to a new series I thought this was a great way to start it!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was extremely well written. I enjoyed a lot the portrayal of Beelezebub, as well as the different take on everything. The twist on the angel and demon dynamic was fantastic, as were the characters themselves. I won’t go into details about the plot so as not to spoil it, but you will not be disappointed in this novel. It’s a refreshing take, with characters that are intriguing and all-consuming (pun intended). I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have.

Mermaid and the Rainbow: Mermaid Science By Lois Wickstrom – Review by Stephanie Driskill

the mermaid and the rainbowthe mermaid and the rainbow by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mermaid and the Rainbow: Mermaid Science is such a great little book. My eight-year-old granddaughter is not a science fan but after reading this book, we had to perform the science experiments as they were done in the book. Such a great way to get the littles interested in science by putting the experiments and results in a story. Can I just say that I love all the characters and find it charming that they teaching science geared towards little ones? I love the storyline about Mermaid coming ashore to play with her friends and to share her knowledge to others. It’s a great read and is given five stars by my granddaughter!

She doesn’t like anything about him. Well, maybe a few things…

English aristocrat Bella Orstwell thought helping get her abusive Russian mafia boyfriend arrested would be the end her troubles. It isn’t. Because even though she’s been whisked off to parts unknown to hide out until the trial, she now has to pretend to be the housekeeper to the Delaney Brothers and nanny to their kid sister. And then there’s Levi, one gorgeous bully of a cowboy tasked with protecting her. He might be in charge of her safety, but if he thinks she’s going to follow his every order without question, he’s in for a rude awakening…

Levi Delaney does not need a babysitting gig. Helping raise his orphaned kid sister and running the ranch with his brothers keeps him plenty busy. But an ex-Navy SEAL never turns down a call from an old friend—which is how he found himself in charge of keeping the annoyingly lovely Bella safe. Now, if only he could find a way to keep her quiet that didn’t involve kissing her—or falling for her…

Bella is shaping up to be a real pain in Levi’s behind, not the least the way his brothers keep falling over themselves when she’s around. But he gave his word that he’d keep her safe and that’s exactly what he plans to do. One small problem, the more she fights him, the more he finds her getting under his skin.

After the trauma of Dmitri, Bella just wants to survive, but is that enough? There’s something about her wounded hero that makes her want to heal him. Not that he wants to let anyone in close enough to do that. But he hasn’t dealt with her before.

Can these polar opposites overcome the demons of their pasts and find common ground on the road to happily ever after? Only if he can keep her alive that long…

Deacon (Saints vs Sinners Series) by CJ Warrant – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Deacon (Saints vs Sinners Series Book 1)Deacon by CJ Warrant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A thoroughly enjoyable second chance at love romance which had me hooked from start to finish. When Deacon Saint returns to his hometown, Alama, Tennessee, having left ten years before to start his MotoGP racing career, he knew things could get difficult. After all, he’s mourning the tragic loss of his best friend, leaving behind his racing career, and dealing with his mother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. However, he did not expect to come face to face with the girl he’s always loved and who broke his heart, Olivia Bane. Meanwhile, Olivia was enjoying her perfect life, working as a nurse, having a group of great friends and a boyfriend who’s a doctor, and then Deacon returns and her life turns chaotic.
Suddenly, her boyfriend turns out to be a monster, she’s at risk of loosing her job, and worse of all, she’s at risk of falling in love with the person who previously broke her heart, Deacon. Deacon will need more than his, ‘good old Southern country charm’ if he’s to win her back! I loved the main characters, independent Olivia and, ‘smooth talkin’’ Deacon, and although their past has made them wary of one another, which comes across in the narrative, their chemistry also sizzled off the page. I felt immersed in the storyline, which had plenty of plot twists to keep me happily turning the pages, and I was hoping the couple would get their HEA. An entertaining and engaging read, which I recommend.

Spring’s Showers: Romantically Seasonal: Spring Review Penelope Kehrer

Spring's Showers: Romantically Seasonal: SpringSpring’s Showers: Romantically Seasonal: Spring by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Spring’s Shower is the first in the Seasons of Magic series from the highly entertaining C.A. King. It is the story of a bet made between Eros and four other gods; Mother Nature, Neptune, the Grim Reaper, and Santa Claus. The gods believe that Eros has the easiest job of all of them and Eros challenges them to do just that. Each god much make a true love match to win the bet. First up is Mother Nature, who goes by Greta for this story. She travels to a small town and finds a gardener named Spring, who is as in need of love as her plants are in need of water. Greta thinks she’s found Spring’s perfect match in a stranded celebrity but it soon becomes clear that nothing is simple in love and war.

This book was so light-hearted and wonderful. If you’re looking for a palate cleanser after a dark romance or just need something that will give you warm and fuzzy feelings, this book is perfect for you! It is well-paced and the detail is splendid. The unique personalities of the gods and the mortals come alive with King’s word choice. Although there is no spice in this book it is one I challenge you to not smile throughout. I look forward to reading the next book that features Neptune in the summertime!

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

And again another fantastic 5 star read from this author! I loved Marvel and Virginia’s story the way they met was just so unique and different to any of the other stories this author has written. They had a connection born from being in a situation that only each other could understand. I loved reading about how their relationship progressed, it was clear that they were meant for each other but with a few bumps along the way. This is the fourth book in this series and possibly my favourite so far! I am very excited to read more from this author as always.

I absolutely loved this book and what an introduction it was to a new author! I was hooked from the very first page. The writing was exciting and so easy to read. I loved Deacon and Olivia, both of their past gave them reason to resent each other, they both held painful memories. There were some really emotional parts to the story and I really was wrapped up in Deacon and Olivia’s story and I was definitely rooting for them the whole way through. The author did an amazing job with this story and I am really looking forward to reading more from them in the future.

Enemies to lovers in a big way. Deacon comes home after a long stint away, for a funeral no less. He bumps into Olivia and those old sparks fly. This story had the best and the worst of the characters. They were so detailed and in depth you really get a great sense of who they are. Both the characters and the story line are a driving force to this novel and truly make it one story you won’t be able to put down!

Slash & Burn (Nite Fire, #4)Slash & Burn by C.L. Schneider

This is the fourth book in this series and boy was it a good one!! I love the way this author spreads out the details to both the characters and the story line. This story is the continuing antics of main character Dahlia Nite who investigates crimes of supernatural characters. The world this author has built is complex and intriguing and will hook you from book one. This is not a stand alone and you really need to read these in order. You won’t be sorry but be prepared because you won’t be able

Deacon (Saints vs Sinners Series Book 1)Deacon by CJ Warrant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a great second chance romance/enemies to lovers contemporary romance novel that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I had never read any of this author’s work previously but was very intrigued by the blurb and decided to give it a chance. I’m so glad that I did. If this book is anything to go by then I’m going to read more of this author’s work. I’m already excited to read the next instalment as Kyle is made out to be an unsavoury character, so I’m wondering how his story will go.
Getting back to this book, I adored Deacon and Olivia. Both are amazing characters that I could really relate to. This book just oozed angst and I’m a sucker for an angsty book. These two just needed to give into their feelings. But then the story would be over too soon and we wouldn’t get this emotional read that had me gripped from beginning to end.
There is a great storyline running alongside the romance. Set in the motorbiking world there is a lot of drama, danger and intrigue to keep you engrossed and very entertained.
I loved the closeness and camaraderie between Deacon and his group of friends ‘the disciples’ and can’t wait to find out more about these guys as the series continues.

A Bad Boy, Doctor, and Southern Belle walk in a bar….

Well maybe not into a bar. Deacon Saint has been gone for 10 years and so much has changed. His family, friends, and love of his life are all grown up and moved on… So he thought.

Olivia Bane…. She definitely didn’t think she’d see Deacon again.. especially at one of his best friends funerals… But.. there he was.. Just as perfect as she remembered… What would her boyfriend think of this…

Dr. Martin is an outstanding Doctor… but is that all he uses his hands for?

If I could give this book more then 5 stars I definitely would! I LOVE the multi POV between the two main characters. The plot and the way everything ran together was AMAZING! It was sweet, sultry, real, emotional story will have you laughing, crying, and yelling all o the same page! I would definitely recommend this book to everyone to read!

Spring's Calling (Seasons of Magic, #1)Spring’s Calling by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story and start to a new series was amazing from start to finish. I could not get enough! I loved the main character Ezri . She was inspirational in her own way, and tough as nails. With her own version of feistiness. She had and has a lot going on yet, stayed true to all she believed in!

Story was very engaging. It was very easy to lose track of time while reading. I loved the paranormal version, also loved Ezri being a detective and a witch. I enjoyed reading to find out how she came to be, and the stuff that happened to her that she wanted to get justice for. It was great character development through out the entire reading. Leading up to the ending I was on the edge of my sea wanting more! The author wrote a great story and certainly knew how to keep the reader interested! Loved it truly!

Wonderful book and for sure a must read author. I can not wait to read the next installment in the series. I highly recommend this must read book. Defiantly not a book or a book of characters to miss out on!

Deacon (Saints vs Sinners Series) by CJ Warrant – Review by Megan Conley

Deacon (Saints vs Sinners Series Book 1)Deacon by CJ Warrant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first MC romance book and boy did the author deliver! I absolutely loved that there was more than just *spicy* romance. You really get to know the characters, especially Deacon and Olivia, and the good, bad, and ugly of them. This was an amazing way to start off the series and I cannot wait for the next book! I’m totally hooked!
Deacon Saint comes home after being away for 10 year for a funeral he doesn’t want to attend. While grappling with his feelings over losing one of his best friends, finding out his mother has Alzheimer’s, and a life-changing job decision, Deacon runs into Olivia Bane, the former love of his life. He still hasn’t forgiven her for what she did 10 years ago and she hasn’t forgiven him either. Still reeling from the loss of her father, Olivia doesn’t want to deal with Deacon, but she has too…per her father’s will. There’s definitely more to the story with these two and there’s no denying the fireworks and electricity between them. But there are trials and tribulations that they have to overcome together and on their own. Deacon and Olivia’s story is full of twists and turns, but well worth it! C.J. Warrant definitely knows how to hook her readers in and keep them coming back for more!

4 Stars

The Sound of Murder is the first book in a new series, Musical Murder Mystery, by K.L. Montgomery. It’s an intriguing cosy mystery- a whodunnit with crime and investigation, drama, suspense, and likeable characters. It is set in the world of theatre- which gave this book an extra element of interest.
A chorus girl with her first ‘big break’.
A travelling theatre show.
A beloved musical.
Murder.
Intrigue.
A whodunnit element.
A mystery to solve, with a killer to catch.
Bringing danger to the show.
All results in another winning recipe from K.L. Montgomery!
I was quickly engrossed in the story and thought it was a great start to this new series and quite an enjoyable read. K.L Montgomery brought some fun and just a little quirkiness to the table with this mystery- and the result is quite engaging.
Happy reading!

Thank you, K.L Montgomery!

When I tell you I connect so well with this character! This series is going to ruin me.
I thought the first book was good and I lied this was amazing it’s pulling at my heart strings.
Feeling the weight of life, how can Our MC prove to the only family he has ever had that He is worth the trouble? Or maybe the truth is he’s not! It all depends on how much The Grimm Wolves MC are willing to put up with by one of their newest prospects.
I understand the yearn for acceptance and this series isn’t just amazingly written each one highlights a moral and life lesson.
Foster care is dramatic & traumatizing (from experience) and it can shape you or break you.
This book shows the evolution of an empath and the irony of feeling all others emotions while you struggle with yours.
Ugh it’s beautiful.
I will give this every star if I could!

Will Francis, Grace and Damien be able to overcome their problems for a happily ever after or will fate once again cause chaos for them?
This was excitingly good.
The gripping hold that it has from the very beginning with a conclusion that has you ready for book 2.
An empath living a double like ….sexy firefighter and tough nomad.
This will have you screaming with joy and full of wonder.
Only time will tell us what destiny has in store for these amazing characters.
This was a different read then I’m use to but worth every page.

What a ride! Wow this story is filled with action, action, action and suspense. I loved it and could hardly put it down! It starts off with a bang and lets me get to know the Disciples, which I loved. This made me feel for each of the characters….even Randy.

The secondary characters are just as fun and interesting as the main ones. It seems everyone has a secret and ten years is too long to be gone and expect everything to be the same. I enjoy all the secrets as they unravel..so fun trying to figure them out beforehand.

This book is extremely well written. The story flows quickly and smoothly. The characters are memorable and relatable. I do have a ton of notes on every character as they all have numerous quirks, loves and ideals. I can not wait for more from this author or this series!

PS. I did keep a list of Randy’s Rules
