The Day the Librarian Saved the Galaxy is a fun children’s sci fi story. It is a fast-paced tale that will keep kids interested rather than losing interest. The story is rounded off nicely with the illustrations.
Thoughts of being in the boring library soon change to being frightened as the stinking aliens invade. With the school under attack, although scared Sophia and Aidan help Mrs. Booker the librarian, who is much more than she looks, to save them all.
Children and adults of all ages will enjoy this fun adventure story.

I love a good, strong female protagonist and Margaret Rose is one I have fallen head-over-heels for. In 1940s America, there is much turmoil swirling around and inside for Margaret Rose, and this story follows her as she overcomes not only war-torn environments, but emotionally-torn internal problems. This is a great Historical Fiction full of great characters and vivid settings and imagery. I recommend this book to any reader looking for a character to believe in and root for. I give this book 5 stars and would give more if I could. I promise you will love following Margaret Rose as she navigates life during World War II.

This book was very emotional and I shed many tears as I read. Some sad and some happy. This woman endured many struggles and feats, and its a story that is well told and not to be forgotten. It has immense strength of a 1000 women type vibes, and its an emotional yet beautiful story in itself. I loved the book, but felt emotionally drained along the journey.

This book brought up so many powerful and raw emotions. The fact that it was inspired by a true story made it feel all the more real and made my heart ache even more. It was so well written I was immediately drawn into Margaret’s story and moved by her strength and courage. This story brought me to tears multiple times, it was sad and I loved every second of it. I highly recommend this book!!! I haven’t stopped thinking about it!

This story is one of heroism but not in the usual way. I was impressed not only with the writing but the characters and story as a whole. For a woman so young to have gone through such grief, this story gripped at my heartstrings but in the best way possible. Check out this read!

I could probably count the number of historical or historical women’s fiction I’ve read in my life, on just one hand. When I stumbled across The Scent of Gardenias, I fell in love with the cover and couldn’t help but give it a chance. I really fell in love with the story pretty quickly. The author really told the story with such imagery that I felt like it was my vivid memories being retold. I loved the range emotion that I felt while reading and I felt personally connected to Margaret as I watched her navigate through life. I would highly recommend this book, even if you don’t consider yourself a fan of historical fiction.

I genuinely enjoyed this book! Set during the World War II era, it’s the story of a young girl who wants a better life for herself than the life her mother lived. It takes the reader through careers, marriages, children all with the fears and losses of war amidst it all. I found myself rooting for the young girl, Maggie, in hopes that she achieved her dreams. Through heartache, loss, and an unexpected twist, she does just that. The Scent of Gardenias is not usually the genre of book that I find myself reading but I’m really glad I did! What a great story! Highly recommend reading this one!
Margaret Rose found herself to of love and lost and encounter traumatic experiences at an early adulthood age. After losing her first husband she encounters a huge surprise; however, she doesn’t allow it to doubt her dedication to find her road to happiness, even if she does still have to live at home. In this book you will be kept on the edge of your seat while reading a very inspiring true story, till the last page. The thing I like best about it was that it is a very relatable story, even in today’s world with a ton of inspiration from the main character. This book will make an impact on women, no doubt. In life, things can go wrong…very wrong, and Margaret’s life is full of unexpected issues. To be able to read about the ambition Margaret had throughout all her adversities was very inspiring to me, as a woman myself.
The Scent of Gardenias was a well written piece of historical fiction. I’m sure for someone who really gets into this genre the rating would be different but for me a few things were lacking. Lets start with the positives, This was a wonderful coming of age story that showed what a lot of people in the pre, during, and post WWII era really went through. It also shows the struggle people in that era lived. Margaret has a dream to be a nurse that I connect with on a very personal level. And she knows she can do more and be more! There was such promise to this story that you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. Now for me what took away from this being a 5 star book. As we all come of age, part of that experience is owning our actions and growing from the situations we have been placed in. While it is important to know the main character went through a terrible and abusive relationship with her husband as you move on you can not always be the victim and in this story there is no growth from her. Another important lack for me was that it seemed as I read chunks of time were missing and for me it greatly took away from the story!
Overall this was a well written novel and especially if someone is in to historical fiction. If you are just looking for a good read without delving into and directing it I recommend reading this book!

I have enjoyed this series, meeting the characters and the world building has been phenomenal. This one though frustrated me more than once. The excess in descriptive words irritated me. Sure there was a lot of action but also a lot of thinking, pondering and descriptive words. Every little thing described in detail is too much making the book overlong. I did get bored and started skipping to dialogue and felt I could still follow the story. I did make it to the last page and was thrilled I finished. The last chapter is written in what I am used to from previous stories and it made me smile fondly. Then that epilogue?? That made everything better. I loved it! What a perfect way to round out the story.
Overall the story picks up speed as it moves along. It is a must read if you have read the rest of the series. This is a nice ending rounding out the series. I will miss Dahlia, Evans and Creed and all their adventures.
I was intrigued by this book because of the beautiful cover, as well as the fact that it takes place partly in Ireland which made it seem unique. I love the paranormal/fantasy genre and this book was full of interesting and original world-building. It was a lot of information to grasp, and I did have to go back and reread some things so I didn’t get confused on the characters or background information. I know that there is going to be another book (or more) so I am hoping that it will be a little easier to follow now that the characters have been explained.
I loved the idea of the individuals with special abilities having a place where they could be with other unique individuals in a place where they were safe and could learn about themselves. I thought a lot of the issues the characters had that came from being different could be connected to our world today, especially recently. I also am a teacher with anxiety about not always fitting in, so I connected with the main female character Anna a lot. I will definitely be checking out the next book in the series.

Dahlia’s back and she is bringing it all to stop the veil between the mortal world and the supernatural world from disintegrating. This is book five and while you could read these separately I think you miss a little bit when you do not read them in order. The characters in this whole series are amazingly detailed, relatable and intriguing. I have had so much fun with this series and I am sad to see it ending. I hope maybe Dahlia will show up again one day in another of this authors novels!! Thanks for a wild ride I will never forget!

This book was so different from the last three books, and I could argue it is one of my favorites so far. Dahlia has grown so much since we first met her three books ago, all of the challenges she has faced, the people she has saved and the dragon queen she has continually outran. This book has heartache, lack of trust, broken relationships and more monsters than can take over the city. After they discover a sink hole, missing pets and more blight, can they come up with a solution before the blight become uncontrollable and destroy everything in their path? Her former partner Alex has come to her for help after not speaking, the deaths could only have been from more monsters. Can he trust Dahlia again? Can they work together and find the solution?

Dahlia Nite is back in book 3 with even more mystery, murders and secrets. Dahlia starts searching for answers as multiple species have been left exposed on Sentinel City’s riverbank. A discovery this big is going to be hard to hide or cover up and Dahlia is caught between hiding the evidence and telling the truth. She starts to distant herself more and more from Alex to try and keep her secrets hidden all while, she helps her sidekick Casey try and find his sister, are the crimes connected? As Dahlias perfectly crafted lies and secrets start to fall apart and the line between new and old life start to become blurry. Can and will these secrets have deadly consequences? Can she keep everyone safe? I love how much the characters grow and evolve in every book, C.L. Schneider does an amazing job at merging, action, drama, suspense, murder, mystery, supernatural, urban fantasy into these books and the plot twists, character growth has me reading these books into the late AM. I am 100% here for it and will continue reading this series.

This was a great read! I absolutely loved this finale for this series. I felt like it was the perfect end to an amazing series. Like always, it was extremely well written and grabbed me from the first few pages. I’m so glad I decided to go on this journey with Dahlia and all the other amazing characters that were introduced. And while I am sad to see it end, I felt like this book did the series a great justice. So thanks to the author for writing a beautiful series and for letting us all enjoy it!

Dahlia Nite and Detective Creed are back, and I could not be more impressed with the second installment of this series. Just like in the last book more and more people are turning up dead in Sentinel City and Dahlia is trying to figure out why? Not only is Dahlia and Creed following leads on the mysterious deaths going on it town, they now have to worry about this new drug that just hit the street. Whoever is behind this new drug is using this town as a guinea pig with no care to the growing bodies piling up. It doesn’t cause the highs and the lows of most street drugs, Chrysalis is causing behavioral, and physical changes to the human body. Dahlia is fierce, strong and persistent and will not back down to a fight.
This book had so much action, twist and turns and I absolutely love a good murder mystery, this series has easily grown to be one of my favorites and I cannot wait to see what book three has in store for us.

This is the first time I have ever read anything by this author, and I have to say I am quite impressed. The characters have a lot of depth the writing of this book is amazing, has me coming back for more. The books start off with Dahlia and her past, she had grown up with heavy influencers in her life that manipulated her and made her believe she had to follow The Guild of Dragon’s orders and directions at any cost. She was exiled from her home almost a hundred years ago and now has found solace in the human would, as a half human, half dragon Dahlia has gotten good at hiding her dragon side from the humans and has dedicated her life to protect the human world. As more mysterious and gruesome murders continue in her new hometown and more bodies are found she realizes these are the shape-shifters doing. Why after all this time is her past catching up to her? After all this time and swearing to never return to her old life again, what choice will she make? This book is the perfect mix of supernatural and murder mystery, can’t wait to read book two!

Here it is! The moment we have all been waiting for, but also have been dreading because we all know this story is coming to an end. C.L. Schneider has done such an amazing job on this series and I cannot wait to read more from this author. The apocalypse has finally come and this action packed book begins! Dahlia has so many things going wrong, old enemies are returning, she has missing team members all while she is trying to save the world. Her dragon and her powers continue to grow, but even still is seems like she is fighting a losing battle. Although there is some losses in this book, there is also some wins. This is a very fast paced book that doesn’t let up until the end.
Flames and Crystal Thorns is a wonderful, adventurous read. The main characters are so easy to fall in love with. Chloe is not your normal badass heroin that you normally see, she actually is the complete opposite. While she is badass in her own way, she is very timid and freezes in the moment of any dangerous situation. She currently is living in the mortal realm as an apothecary, and a very talented one at that, with the help of a Faerie book. That is until her past shows up and tells her that she is the only one who can save Faerie. She has sworn to never return, but now her sister is in danger, as well as both the Farie Realm and the Mortal Realm, what is she to do? Quintus, a Fae, is adamant she is the only one who can help. Mortals are trying to take over Faerie and have captured her older sister. I absolutely love the way the author went in a different direction than most magical storylines go. Children born from a mortal and a fae are born either fully mortal or fully fae. I admire that Chloe does not want to try and fit into the fae livelihood, but instead completely embraces the fact she is human and wants to be with her own kind. The lessons that Chloe learns through are both relatable and realistic.
There is a tension between Chloe and Quintus, but you do not know exactly what the history between them is, which I think is a missed opportunity. It does not affect the story in a significant way, but I believe that if the author went into detail early on, what their past held, it would be easier to understand why they interacted with each other the way they do.
I highly recommend this book to all fans of YA fantasy. I am very excited to read the next book in the series!

I love reading fantasy stories. The author has created a wonderful world to let me slip in to discover. This is a classic story of fae vs mortals told with flair and history. The characters are diverse and plentiful. They made me smile and root for them to win.
I do have a few issues with the storytelling and time frame. There were numerous times it mentioned eventful things that had happened in the past between the characters. After a but I had to look and yes there are other stories in this realm. So it will either make you want to read them or irritate you. I felt it was confusing since I have not read them and made me feel like it was a continuation. Past histories/tragedies, past relationships and how the faerie was then. Gar! That is not for me. Secondly is the time frame. This is a LONG book, which is normal for fantasy, that moved forward very little. There are too many pages of “in her head thinking/doubts”. It became tedious after a while and led to me skipping ahead. It also slowed the storyline down.
Overall the story is cute and interesting. The author does a good job with the various characters. While I love fantasy stories this one I became frustrated with the slowness.

I personally love fantasy novels so when I saw the cover of this novel I just knew that I had to read it. I have personally never read anything by this author but this wonderful fantasy blew me out of the water. While I have never read anything from this author before her writing is beautiful, her character development is great, and storyline is perfect. Chloe has returned to the mortal world and sworn to stay away from Faerie. It has been a number of years since she left it behind, however she still uses protection against them. She full well knows the dangers of the Fae. With a stolen book she became the town apothecary to occupy her time until a face from her past shows up. Quintus, a Fae, has come to the mortal world to bring Chloe back to Faerie. He is adamant that she is the only one who can save his world. A mortal that is familiar with their ways. Humans are attacking with iron and her sister is in danger. Can she save her sister and the whole of Faerie?
A new story to dive into that sends the reader into the realm of the Fae. Unlike other stories it reveals that children born of mortal and fae are born as either full fae or full human. It was an interesting difference that I enjoyed while reading this story. I also enjoyed our main character’s attitude about wanting to remain in the mortal world with her own kind. The complex desire to be in a magical world yet knowing you don’t belong there is admirable in Chloe.
I am fully invested in this cast of characters and cannot wait to continue the series.

This book took me to a whole new world! I enjoyed every second! it was so well written with a story that flowed so well! I loved the authors progression of the characters and couldn’t get enough of the dynamics. This appears to be book one of the Far and Crystal Thorns series and I can honestly say I cannot wait to see what else is to come! A great book to get lost in for a few hours or until its finished, because lets be honest, I couldn’t have put it down if I tried!

This is not the first book by this author I have read but is the first book in this series. I love her writing style and description and she is one of my favorite young adult authors to read. I always pick her books up the day they are released. This was no different. I loved how she intertwined the betrayals and the friendships into the storyline. It made it absolutely fit together with the rest of the storyline. As usual, I was unable to put this down to go to sleep until I had read the entire story. I highly recommend this story if you or your young adult are into fantasy folklore tales. Once you read one of her books you will be wanting to read them all.

Magical faerie adventures Absolutely loved this book. Chloe is a strong character and has quite an entertaining relationship with the Fae. This is a fast paced read, brilliantly written and engaging from start to finish. I didn’t realise that it was a spin off from another series, The Fae of Bitter Thorn, but now I am keen to read that series too. With action, suspense, Fae, magic and a touch of romance this book is an absolute winning read. Really need book 2 now!

I have enjoyed books this author has written. I really felt the connection with this none though. The characters really came to life with everything that was going on in their lives, and were all connectable in some way, shape, or form. I really enjoyed this one and growing with the characters! Amazing writing!
I do love my sports, so of course I enjoyed the play of sports used as a connection barrier sort to say in this wonderful book. I loved the chemistry between Kendall and Pete. I found Pete had a lot of character growth through out the book, with his mind heart, and personality. Kendall was a awesome character you could feel her attraction to Pete, but yet at the same time the care for her brother she didn’t want to mess up her relationship with him or Pete’s friendship with him. The book was a deep dive of emotions, and really made me feel things. It was a great read! To put into simple words, I freaking loved it!
Again, to make myself clear this is an amazing book written by an amazing author. I loved it truly, the characters, the plot , etc.! A must read all around! High recommendation from myself! Don’t miss out!

This is book six in the Mafia Elite series and it is every bit as good as the rest in the series. This story is a very sweet second chance romance but where the Mafia is concerned nothing is sweet and innocent for long. The reader is sent on a journey with twists that you don’t see coming which keeps the reader guessing from start to finish.
This story is about Trey and Hailey.
Trey is part of the Mafia family but also an amazing surgeon. After losing the love of his life he threw himself into his work and became a shadow of himself. He resigned himself to never feeling alive again. Until Hailey came into his life. After meeting Hailey at a party for the hospital the attraction was instant and he started to feel alive again. However it was too soon and the loss of his love made him move away from what could have been happiness.
Fast forward and when Hailey is kidnapped her step father asked Trey for help finding her. When they meet again the spark is still there and as they work towards figuring out who was behind her kidnapping and why the connection gets stronger.

Yet another amazing entry into this series. I can’t believe that the next book is supposed to be the end. This book is great, and can be read as a standalone, but trust me, you won’t want to stop here. I can’t wait for Rivals to release later this year, as I never want to leave the world of these characters. I feel like they are family!
This book is about Trey, the doctor/surgeon to the Five Families of Mafia in the Chicago area. He is unexpectedly reunited with Hailey after he is brought in by her stepfather to investigate and hopefully solve her kidnapping. When the pair first met, Trey wasn’t in a good place mentally, and was definitely not in a place to want any part of a relationship with someone outside of “his world” of mafia families. Through trying to figure out Hailey’s kidnapping and what led to it, the couple gets closer and Trey realizes he can’t be without Hailey. My only advice is this: always remember, people aren’t always what they seem.
And if the passing references to Tony are a question by the author about rather readers of the series want to see more about him and see him get his happily ever after, let this review serve as a resounding YES! I never want to see this series end!

I have been loving this series since book one, I find each one I am hooked with the characters that are introduced and I am left breathless, immersed, and most of all swooning from those certain moments!
Its so hard to pick a favorite book in the series, but this one we got Trey’s story! I must say his story was very much worth the wait. his story brought things to the table I did not expect in the least at all. I found his story had a darker side, with suspense and a mysterious aura as I read. Hailey was great too! I loved her personality and how she was in the mind set. Her and Trey were great together, and I m just not talking those “swooning” moments, but also being a team! I loved reading their story and watching their story take off! This book was amazing start to finish. I was left wanting more! Freaking loved it!
Seriously, if you have not read the series yet you certainly must! This book alone was a fantastic read AND I certainly recommend this book and series as well as the author! Must read all around!
