Soulmates, warriors and universal battles An interplanetary adventure of a different kind. This is book 2 and even though I haven’t read book 1 (which I will have to rectify soon) I did not feel lost. Brilliantly written, this book had me anxiously turning the pages to get the answers. Castor and Mia are amazing characters and their emotional pain permeates from the page. There’s battles, lots of drama, a splattering of romance and a hard to accept soulmate bond to deal with as Castor and Mia fight to keep alive. Highly recommend.

Loved this book! This is book 2 of the series but can be read as a stand alone. Tom an Chelsea carry over from book one alone with Nadia an Luke who are the main characters for this book. I enjoyed their story much better. The funny banter between them an sexual tension is great! Along with the loving story of Lukes daughter Esme an the beautiful things he does for Nadia just make it a wonderful love story and great read. Cant wait to read the 3rd book.

This second book is much more action packed but allows you to see more of Julia’s life. There is love, war, and tragedy in this second one. I can’t wait to read the third book and I’m hoping there is some redemption in it.

I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is my first book by this author which I look forward to reading more from her in the future. One of the things that popped for me was this author’s writing skills and attention to details. I enjoyed how the author was able to pull me into the story from the start and made the story come to life. The characters not only have great growth throughout but they are also relatable. They are strong, supportive characters that truly made the story for me. The chemistry between them had me coming back for more. A story where taking a shot is not the only thing fate has in store for these characters. This is a great story that I enjoyed and I highly recommend it

What a series! This is a must get dark romance box set about bold brothers finding love. Suspense, intrigue, action, romance and steam. The books can be read individually, however I would recommend reading from the start as they do all interlink with each other. The author has done a brilliant job in each book building each character with depth and individuality. Happy reading!!

A very emotional romance. This is my first book from this author and I devoured it in one sitting. The main characters Sol and Ember had a great connection and chemistry with very well written character development. This book takes you on a whirlwind of emotions, with a lot of drama and angst. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

I enjoyed this science fiction romance story. This is a well written story about forming alliances, battles for your life and the strong bond of fated mates. I found this story to be fast paced and engaging. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story. There is a great growth with them which made the story easy to read. There are twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and had me on the edge of my seat. A story where love will either survive or will it be the weakness that could get them killed. I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend it.

Very well written. I have not had the chance to read the first book, so I had a little trouble getting into this one. But I will say that if you love Sci-fi that I definitely recommend this book. I loved Mia and Castor’s story. They have an amazing tale of becoming soulmates. The characters are well done and so is the world building. Definitely give this series a try.

Interesting twist in the dynamic between Sera and Cassius. Sera is a high-paid, well-trained assassin. She is on the verge of a mega-deal that would set up her and her father for this life and the next. The only problem is that she is falling for her mark, Cassius.
Cassius is a businessman willing to take calculated risks. These risks have made him a very rich man. Cassius knows when his brother introduces him to Sera, there is more to this woman than meets the eye. Cassius is determined to discover her secret. When Cassius stirs feelings and emotions in Sera that she has not felt in what seems like forever, Sera struggles with completing the contract for Cassius. Will she or won’t she?
The author has a brilliantly paced story that will keep you hanging on until the last word!!

This is the last installment of The Lord Hani Mysteries by N. L. Holmes. This series has been building from book 1 until this book. Hani was introduced in book 1. This installment is set in Ancient Egypt and Hani found himself navigating through politics, society, and royal protocols. In this book, there are historical details, agendas, plots, and emotions. The characters are fully developed and engaging. I loved each of Hani’s mysteries. I highly recommend this book and series, but be warned you may not be able to put it done until you have completed the book.

As someone who struggles with anxiety, I very much appreciate the character of Evan Adler. A former NHL hockey player, he now trains a women’s gymnastics team and is struggling. Callie Pearce is a gymnast who realizes she needs to show him the love he deserves. These two characters together are dynamite! This story has everything you could want in a sports-centered love story: action, intrigue, steam, and plenty of character development to make you fall in love with the both of them. It is evident that this author knows hockey and can create a story with just as much excitement as the game itself. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I am glad I did. This is a realistic story with relatable characters, and you will find yourself turning page after page without even noticing. I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Fantastic, just like the other two books in the series. This book focuses on Krystina and Loucas, long time frenemies who have to work together that turn into lovers. Like the other two novels, Krystina has continued to search for their missing grandfather, which I was very happy to get more answers to the mystery behind. It isn’t very often that I read a Frenemies to lovers novel, but this one is definitely one of the best I have ever read. Both Krystina and Loucas are very relatable characters, and I loved watching them grow as both people separately and together as a couple. So far, all this author has done is impressed me with their writing styles, so I’m very excited to continue reading more of their work.

Between Darkness & Light (War of Destiny Book 3) by Theresa Van Spankeren. This is the 3rd book in this series and its really good. Julia is back and her vampire family is shunning her due to things that happened in the previous book. She starts to hear things that no one else can hear so she really thinks she’s losing her mind. When Simon comes up missing she has to enlist the help of Matthew from the Ka-tet family which is the family she betrayed. Julia asking for help is huge because she’s never been good at that. During all this time Julia is feeling very alone and then on top of everything else Hunter’s arrive. Julia knows something very dark is happening all around and she is terrified. Julia feels like she knows the Hunters and that makes her feel even more crazy. Will Julia survive the whole ordeal or will this be the end for her. Read this fast paced paranormal book!

The second book in the series was just as good as the first! Focusing on a new couple, Mia and Nicholas, it was great to see a new authors twist on the forbidden office romance trope, which she excelled at! My favorite thing about this story, like many others, was seeing Nicholas slowly opening up to Mia, as at the beginning of the story he has very firmly closed his heart off to prevent further heartache. I loved watching him learn to trust her with his heart, it very much reminds me of myself, someone else who takes awhile to fully open themselves up to one of the most vulnerable things on the planet, someone else’s love. I also love that they continue one of the side stories in the first novel, trying to figure out what happened to the grandfather of Mia from this book and Kally from the previous. I am hoping to get more answers on the mystery in the next book, which I am ecstatic to read next.

Sera is a very interesting lady. Lorenzo her dad was not a good person he was deceiving. Cassius, I like his character. This is a very well-written romance novel I like how well the characters interact with each other. Devil’s Breath which is set to hit the streets and become the next big thing being an Assassin and all has its perks but what happens when you fall for your target.

I went in to this book expecting just another romance story but ended up with so much more. The characters and the connection they shared felt so real, it was evident on every page and in every interaction. I loved the way they complimented each other. The author has done a brilliant job at representing some tough issues to tall about – especially mental health. It was refreshing to see this done right for once. This is an amazing book that I would highly recommend.

If you want a book that is all about the characters, this is the one for you. I loved watching Mia and Castor’s bond grow. Both had merit in their own right but they both complimented each other really well. The story was fast paced and exciting right from the start. It pulls you into and really holds your interest to the end. The author builds the story amazingly and makes this such a great read. I would highly recommend this book.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Devil’s Breath is a great read. It’s a perfect mix of suspenseful and romance. I had a hard time putting the book down.
Sera is her family’s assassin and shes Damn good at her job. Meeting her next target on her club puts her plans in motion. She doesn’t expect to fall in love. The quote I chose for Sera is: “Anyway, we have work to do. Since you want to bring up my degree, why don’t you put your computer science degree to use before we get caught?”
Cassius is in town to help his brother out. Little does he know that he’s fronting them the money for a fake business. He meets Sera and knows something is up. He finds out what it is, but that doesn’t stop him from loving her. The quote I chose for Cassius is: “Lower your guns. You come here every night. I’m assuming it’s not for an evening rendezvous with a hot lover. My brother, Damion, and Lorenzo are smuggling Adrenochrome. There are thousands of bottles hidden behind the walls.”

Suspenseful, sweet, emotional, and everything in between! When Ellawyn needs to escape her life and start over, Quimby Grove is the place for her! It is quiet and quaint, the perfect fresh start. She especially loves the comfort she finds in Starlight Books. Benji owns starlight books and needs help to keep it going. He enlists his grandson, Beckett to help run things. Beckett does not hesitate to help his grandfather in time of need. Though a wealthy and successful businessman, Beckett finds comfort in returning to his roots. Though he isn’t sure of the allure of Benji’s most valued customer, Ellawyn. Until they work together to help Benji with Starlight Books. When Ellawyn is threatened by an unknown source, Beckett will stop at nothing to help protect her.
This story took me on a wild ride of emotions. I instantly adored the connection between Ellawyn and Benji. Benji is so wholesome and painted so perfectly that I felt like I had known him my whole life. Many of the characters are relatable and so lifelike that you are really drawn into the world of Quimby Grove and Starlight Books. I really felt every emotion with each character as I made my way through page after page. There is no better feeling than truly getting lost in a good book and that is what this story will given you!

Finding Starlight: A Small Town, Romantic Suspense (The Quimby Grove Series #1) by Shannon Nikole
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Finding Starlight is the first book in The Quimby Grove Series. Beck and Ellie are an amazing couple. Ellie doesn’t have the best backstory and it’s a little dark.
Ellawyn leaves her hometown in order to be safe from the clutches of her ex boyfriend. She finds herself in Quimby Grove and feels like she’s finally found her place. Benji finds a place in her heart and she’s devastated when she learns Benji is sick. The quote I chose for Ellawyn is: “Because right now, I’m broken, Beckett. I feel like I’ve been shattered into a million pieces, and I don’t even know where to begin to piece it all back together again. I need to help myself before I can let you back in. This is just what I need to do for me. I won’t feel safe in Quimby Grove, or in my apartment, for a while. I need to work through it first.”
Beckett comes back to Quimby Grove thinking he’s back for a short visit. He doesn’t know that his two week visit will turn into something more. When he meets Ellawyn he feels something he’s never felt before. Will things work out for the two of them? The quote I chose for Beckett is: “From the day you entered my life, you’ve made it better. The challenges we’ve faced, the heartache we’ve endured, and the laughter we’ve shared wouldn’t have been the same without you at my side. You’re everything to me, and I want nothing more than to make you mine. Ellawyn Rose Calloway, will you marry me?”

Get the boxset…don’t even consider getting 1 just to see if you’ll like it…you will. These books are addictive and engaging and fast-paced and seductive and so much more. I absolutely love the way India Kells creates and develops her characters and how each character is an imperfect match for the other. The amount of push and pull between the Brothers and each of their Sparrows is riveting and each book has just the right amount of spice. I positively love the way Kells weaves each of the Brothers and their Sparrows stories together to build on each story as we progress in the box set. We still get to see characters that were the focal points of other stories while not losing sight of the main characters in this story. India Kells is quickly becoming one of my favorite, go-to authors. I will definitely be reading all of her stuff!

Amazing! It is crazy to think that back in the 1800s a seventeen year old girl could marry a thirty-seven year old ma with no one thinking anything of it. I understand Isabella wanting to find something stable, especially after the loss of her family. Donald seemed really shady to me when they were out shopping, and he was making all of the decisions and quickly without giving any thought to what Isabella would want. I was broken hearted for Isabella on her wedding day, her wedding night, and her life for the next days after marrying Donald. She seems like such a sweet heart and should only be treated with all the love and respect she deserves. I was so happy when she met Tom and had a feeling he would be a big game changer in Isabella’s life. Excellent book, definitely recommend. Short and sweet with lots of emotions.

Perfect! Everything about this book was perfect! The elements of romance, action, space, different planets and different creatures all came together nicely. I did not read the first book, and at one point in the beginning I did feel like I was missing some things, but picked up quickly. I will definitely be going back to read it though. I love Castor and I love Mia, and I love both of them together. What Mia has endures in first portion of the book is just awful, nobody should have to withstand any of it. I was hoping someone would come and save her and thus we get Castor. They are soulmates and their journey to escape from Throl is super entertaining and had me on the edge waiting to see what would happen next. I really hope to see a 3rd book to this series to see what becomes of Not and Athena.

Vive la Resistance by Seelie Kay is a Vampire/Were paranormal romance and is the third book in the Donovan Trait series. Now there is a huge war brewing. The Vampire Coalition wants to eliminate Half-Blood Vampires and Weres and those who have even the faintest trace of their blood. This includes Donovan Trait’s family and their two infant children. Unbeknownst to the Coalition, there are literally millions of Half-Bloods and they are prepared to fight for their freedom. And the Trait’s certainly won’t give in without putting up a fight.
I highly enjoyed all of the Donovan Trait books, but this one was by far my favorite! If you love books with vampires, weres, war with a dose of romance, you may find yourself really enjoying it as well. I certainly did. I definitely recommend reading the first two books before picking up Vive la Resistance. The previous books have a lot of information, situations and character building that entwine with the third book. Otherwise, pick it up and enjoy getting submersed into this fun world with adorable characters!

This is for sure a mus read book I would say. This was a new author for me, and I will be for sure reading more by this wonderful author. I was deeply touched with the writing, it truly impacted me!
This book was so much more to me than it was at first glance. I am someone who has my own mental battles, and my husband has helped me through it in so many different ways. The writing of this very talented author was amazing. I was so invested in the writing that I could not let go of the words that I was reading. The characters were connectable and impossible not to love..there was more to the issues addressed than just mental health, that were very personal to me. I loved reading that and seeing the story come to light with triumph. So many emotions were felt, I loved this book with all my heart!
Such a perfect and crafted book. I felt emotionally attached and in love reading. I was sad to see it end, but it was bittersweet seeing how all tied together at the end. Certainly a must read and not one to be passed up for any reason. A must read for sure! I very much highly recommend this wonderful book and author!

The first book was amazing from start to finish and this one was just as amazing, if not even more! I loved how this one had even more character development and the writing really pulled you in even more!
I personally was hooked with this one. Reading on Desiree and how she really had her light to shine with her determination really shined bright I would say! She became a very determined leader in this one. She had her sights on something and she went after it. Very admirable reading what she was the first round and seeing her now in this round! Theron and Jaxon are wonderful and the three of them made a wonderful trio. They all had different reasons to be who they are and their dealing with vampires. They each contributed to the story in this each own way. I loved this story and the writing that it possessed and words created!
This book was so freaking good! Could not put down! Was in constant anticipation! I loved this book and the writing so much! Highly recommend this must read book! Not to be passed up for sure! Loved it!

Brazeau – Review by Lorrene Huisman
First, We Kill All the Lawyers by Seelie Kay is the first book to the Donovan Trait series. The confident, handsome Donovan Trait is a vampire casanova that chose to stop aging at 35 years old, but has been around since the late 1700s. Needless to say, he is very well versed with law… and the judges. But suddenly, someone is killing off lawyers and he has to stop whoever this serial killer is and protect himself and the ones he holds dear. Especially his newfound love, Judge Shirley Magnusen.
This was a very fun read for me and I was pulled in from the very beginning of the story by Donovan’s charm. While I love a good vampire romance, this one struck with me differently. It was unique from any other I had read before. These are not your typical vampires, so don’t expect this to be similar to anything you’ve ever encountered, regardless of how many vampire books you’ve read. Definitely recommend if you love vampires, romance and suspense!
