Quick, great read. It was nice to watch Samuel come into his thirteenth birthday and everything that was to happen for him now that he hit “manhood”. Watching him get invited to participate in the Passover rites, I could tell he felt like he was now accomplished. His chosen scripture of Isaiah 53 is the perfect passage to have read for what was to come, and it is so cool that he was drawn to that passage to come into his manhood. Samuel and the Rabbi then discover that the rumbling and disturbance while they were at the Temple was caused by one of the most important moments of all time. I really love that in the end the author asks for anyone who believes to repeat the prayer and be saved.
