Susan Renee knocked this right out of the park. A romantic and a romance cynic meet and it’s all about changing minds! I enjoyed this book so much! It was lighthearted, steamy and funny! A new author for me and truly glad I stumbled on this one! Author drew us into the story making us feel like we are sitting front and centre with a bowl of popcorn hoping and waiting to see the outcome! I was so engrossed in this book I even burnt a batch of cookies! Really a great read!

I’m pretty picky when it comes to reading about an MC, there are only a couple that have kept me interested until now. An all female MC really peaked my interest so I thought I would give it a try. So glad I did, this is definitely a series I will be keeping up with.
Tink has quite the back story which sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go. She has dealt with a lot but never let it or the fact she is a woman stop her. She has surrounded herself with some incredibly strong fearless women which I love.
L is exactly what Tink needs. He isn’t afraid of her but respects her and it shows. But he is also willing to jump in the middle if necessary no matter the situation.
This author is new to me, but I looked at her catalog and found a few more to read and I have already put the release date in for the next book in this series. I have a feeling these women are going to become close friends of mine.

This was a really great read. I don’t think I have ever read a female MC book. The females were just as tough and intriguing as if it were a male MC. This is a great start to a great new series. Can’t wait to read more.

If I Had a Magic Wand was such a sweet and sentimental story for babies and kids of all ages. It perfectly puts into words the wishes parents have for their children. The story is whimsical and heartwarming. The illustrations are simple while being incredibly diverse to help relay the story. My own kids loved the rhyming, easy-flowing story and the magical pictures. This is the perfect baby shower or book shower gift!

There’s nothing I like better at this time of year than reading a good, holiday romance, and Susan Renee hit this one out of the park!
Tenley and Teagan are not quite enemies, but they find themselves worlds apart on their ideas of finding lasting love. Tenley is a cynic when it comes to romance. She has her own podcast, Practical Adult Relationships, where she trashes the idea of love and has no intention of ever falling in love herself! On the other hand, Teagan has his own blog, and he is known as the Love Guru. He is a believer in finding and keeping love yet he hasn’t found that special someone yet. By chance, he invites her to Hawaii for an all-expense paid trip for a week at a couple’s retreat. It’s more of a challenge…if she doesn’t fall in love, he will donate a hefty sum to her podcast. And, Tenley, being Tenley, cannot resist this challenge, not only for the money but to prove to the Love Guru once and for all that love doesn’t exist. Let the games begin!!!!
The attraction between these two is electric despite their dislike of one another. Therefore, the banter between them is fantastic!!! I also liked the fact that Susan Renee kind of turned the story on its head for me. She made the female character the cynic, and the male character the one who believes in the magic of love. I was on his side from the beginning, and I kept hoping he would get her to fall for him!
She also did something different with her characters’ voices. Tenley and Teagan both have their own chapters. We are given their conversations, but we are also given their inner thoughts, so we know exactly how they feel about one another, even though they don’t! I loved that!!!!!
One of my favorite parts of the book was at the end when Renee went into detail about the other couples who are there. They have appeared in her other books, and she actually included the titles of those books so I can easily find them to read. I’m really glad I took a chance on Susan Renee. She has found a new fan in me!

Amazing! I loved delving deeper into this post-apocalyptic world. I can’t get enough of the Quirk Of Destiny trilogy! This second installment, Return to Gallanvaig, is frightening and emotional with another cliffhanger ending that will have you grasping for the final book in this thrilling series. I know I will be grabbing my copy of Destiny Of Light ASAP! This story really packs a punch, where good vs evil and science fiction meets real science to create a truly unique tale. Return to Gallanvaig really ups the ante with action, danger, and plenty of Genies under the control of Balthazar. I would highly suggest starting with book 1 A quirk of Destiny before reading this book, to get more understanding of Greenall’s world, you will not be disappointed! This series is truly a can’t miss for all sci fi lovers!

This was a cute, uplifting kids book. It definitely wasn’t just a book for kids, as a mom I find it very endearing. Moms (and Dads) are hard-working, love unconditionally, and only want the very best for their children. However, as parents we learn quickly that we are not perfect, we can’t fix everything, and our children will hurt, cry, etc. Oohh, but we all wish we had a magic wand to make sure our little ones never have to deal with the struggles of life! If we did, we would use it all the time. This story reminded me that we are not perfect, but that we strive for that perfection for our children. In addition, from the child’s point of view, the story also lets them in on the secret that while we may not always succeed in the perfection journey, we do try very hard!!

Wow, absolutely phenomenal read! A Quirk Of Destiny by Catherine Greenall grabs you from the very first page and will not let go! A Great introduction to a series that delivers so much more than it promises and zombies, or Genies are only the tip of the iceberg. With cover ups, twists and turns, corruption and conspiracies, and an ending that will leave you hanging needing to know more. Greenall creates an engaging and strongly written world that bleeds through the pages and sends a message that I won’t soon forget. What really is in our food. With that terrifying thought and how creepy the genies were this book gave me the chills. It really makes you think more about what we all put in our bodies and the consequences it could someday have. This is not your average apocalyptic sci fi thriller, within its pages are so many good ideas that we as a society should think about for our future. I cannot wait to start reading Return To Gallanvaig, her second book in this eye opening series. This book is definitely a must read with some scary realistic thoughts of where we could be headed.

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Tink is the first book in the Devil’s Handmaidens. The author knows how to write words. I love this book and can’t wait for more.
Tink is the one who likes taking care of everything. She knows something is missing. She doesn’t know what it is. She is looking for something but can’t seem to find it. The quote I chose for Tink is: “Raven, go grab Shadow. Tell her she’s up, it’s a go. Don’t want it done ’til everyone is settled down. Take them to the old homestead. It’s her call, quick or send them to hell slowly but bottom line; I want them with good Ol’ Satan at the end. Make sure there is no evidence left. Tell her to do the usual. Got it? While reading this book, I was constantly thinking – thinking I knew the truth, thinking I was a step ahead and then thinking I had no idea what I was talking about. Each chapter dove deeper into a complex dynamic between several people, with no clear understanding of truth. The author does a great job at developing characters who are ever changing, or perhaps the author just gives the perspective of change. This book had me curious to the very end and left me thinking about how anyone can have a multitude of stories based on different people’s perspectives.

When I started this book I honestly didn’t know what to expect but I was blown away by how fantastic it was. Firstly, I loved the era it was set in. I really felt like I was transported there while reading the book. The fact that the book was also telling three different stories just added so much extra depth to the story. All of the characters added so much to the storyline. They were interesting and unique, offering a great dynamic between them. They all fit with the timeline and the story that the author was telling. As this first book in the series I feel that the author has started as they mean to go on. This was a strong opening and has enticed me enough to want to read more. I can’t wait to see where this series is going.

I truly enjoyed this second chance romance. The characters were completely loveable. I also felt that the storyline was completely believable. I also loved that I could feel the butterflies between Brad and Mary even though they were years out of high school. I know that I could relate to misunderstandings in high school. I love that this misunderstanding is given the chance to be set right. More importantly I love that you could feel their emotions jump off the page. If there is one thing this story definitely had going for it was that the author is able to pull you in to it. I found myself thinking about my own high school experiences and wondering how I would handle it if the opportunity presented itself to correct these understandings. It definitely got me thinking about how time changes people and how in as many ways as you change you might also stay the same. I loved this second chance romance!

This book was awesome! The banter back an forth between this couple is hilarious! Its like the elementary school phrase “the more they tease it means they like you”. **Trigger Warnings: Human Trafficking & SA** I’m a sucker for badass females and D.M Earl has delivered! I will say though…this book needs to come with trigger warnings because right off the bat it throws some very gnarly stuff the readers way. I am not usually triggered (typically because I’ve read the warnings and have been able to prepare myself) but this caught me off guard and I actually had to put the book down and take a minute to collect myself. Now, I’m sure it’s not that way for everyone, but be warned there is talk of human trafficking and SA. Like I said, I would have been fine if there had been a trigger warning just letting me know. I absolutely love the way Earl develops her characters. They have this tragic backstory and instead of breaking them, they take it and use it to make themselves strong and resilient but not hardened. And I love a well-rounded female badass who is tough and independent, but doesn’t let that stand in the way of being vulnerable. The heat between Tink and Noodles is a perfect sizzle. I love how Earl uses this first book in the series to introduce us to many of the characters we will see in the follow-up books without loosing focus of Tink and Noodles. The plot line of this book is an emotional one and sometimes it’s hard to read, but D.M. Earl does it tastefully and respectfully. I love the premise of an all-female MC bringing down these horrible trafficking rings, rescuing the people, and bringing them back to their ranch to recover. Add to it that most, if not all, of the females in the MC have tragic backstories themselves, and it just means that much more. I really do recommend this book and I can’t wait to read the others in the series. Just please be warned…there are very sensitive topics discussed.

I love a good love story. I also love a good heroic story. This book has amazing characters tied into an even better plot. This is the first all female MC book I have ever read and it did not disappoint. There does need to be a trigger warning regarding sexual assault. As strong women do, Tink takes to helping human trafficking victims after going through her own traumatic experience.
Noodles comes into the picture and turns Tink’s world upside down. Or is it really the other way around? Regardless, these two are a cute duo trying to find themselves and help each other. I truly loved everything about this book and highly recommend to anyone who enjoys romantic novels.

Snow in Love was such a great Holiday romance read. I don’t typically choose to read romance books, but I am so glad I did. I really enjoyed this book. It’s the perfect time to read it also. The book was short but it was worth it and I read the book in 1 day.

This is book 1 in the Dragonpets series. This is a young adult fantasy adventure and it is definately a story that grips you from start to end. I really loved the lead character of Rilla. She is a very strong and determined young woman who takes things in her stride. She has suffered so much loss and her connection with Vidar was unexpected but so lovely to read.
Rilla lost her family and her home when a dragon attacked. The next thing she knows she is tied to a rock face waiting to be sacrificed to a dragon. The dragon who she is sacrificed to isn’t the same one responsible for her parents death and Vidar doesn’t want to eat her. As they go through their experiences together and try to stop the enemy their feelings and relationship grows. Its beautiful watching their relationship progress and seeing just how far they are prepared to go to protect each other and their world

Kamana Wanalaya by Susan Renee. I loved this fun holiday read. Its the story of Tenley who has a podcast about relationships. Tenley gives practical advise and she’s often grumpy and cynical. Teagan is the “love guru” and thinks everyone deserves love. He goes on another podcast and calls Tenley out and tells her he will take her on a all expense paid vacation if she will have an open mind and fall in love. If she doesn’t fall in love he will donate $10,000 to her podcast. Win/Win situation right so of course she takes him up on it. While on the vacation they spend a lot of time together and there are laughs, tears and fun all around. I loved the chemistry between the two. They are like fire/ice in their personalities but they do well together too. Read this fun, laugh out loud romance with a little spice to start your holiday’s off on the right foot!

Knight in The Museum is the fifth book in the Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery Series. The cover and title pulled me in without realizing this was the fifth book in the series. Don’t let this stop you from grabbing this book. It was easy to read as a standalone without feeling lost or out of touch with the characters and the story. Jorja (not Georgia) Knight is a fantastic PI who gets herself into some interesting situations. I always liked stories with art or antiquities built into the story, and this one kept me intrigued. I will not give any plot points because I do not want to wreck the story for anyone else. After reading this book, I can’t wait to dig into the other books in the series. It is always great to discover a new series and author.

I love a strong female MC who goes beyond her past to make a better future, not only for herself but for others around her.
Through this book I couldn’t stop yelling “go Tink” throughout this book and cheering her on. I kept turning the page, and saying one more chapter. Then I realize what time it is and that I should REALLY go to bed.
D.M. Earl wrote this outstanding, page turning book, that I could not put down and I cannot wait to read more in the series. I cannot believe how great the storyline is, outside of the romance. Just what Tink was doing for herself and others around her. I immediately fell in love with Tink as the character and you could not ask for a better person!

This was a real page turner of a MC novel, which had me hooked from start to finish. Maggie “Tink” Rivers’ is President of the Devil’s Handmaidens MC, and along with her club she’s determined to rid the world of human traffickers. However, Tink is feeling overwhelmed between her club president duties, running her business and continuing the search for her sister who she fears is in the hands of human traffickers. Tink also feels as though something or someone is missing from her life, and then former Navy SEAL Ellington Rutledge walks into her life. Ellington is relocating to Montana for a fresh start and once he meets the fiery and beautiful president of the Devil’s Handmaidens MC, he hopes that she will be apart of that new start. As Tink and Ellington grow closer, Tink’s past comes back to haunt her, threatening to destroy them. When Tink’s life is in danger and her club is at stake, Ellington must save both Tink and the club before it’s too late. I was gripped throughout by this storyline and I loved the main characters, especially the badass Tink. Her and Ellington definitely had chemistry which sizzled off the page and I enjoyed how their relationship developed. The descriptive narrative brought both the characters and the setting vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the story. I loved the idea of an all female MC, full of independent and strong women, as usually MC novels focus on male MC’s, which made this a unique read. The plot kept me guessing and happily turning the pages, as I could not put this book down. A great first book in a new series and I look forward to reading the next one.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Revenge Honeymoon was a funny little read. Going on a friend’s honeymoon because an ex leaves her would be fun. I got to live that experience by reading this.
Emily is on a cruise with her best friend. Not just any cruise. A Honeymoon Cruise. Newly wed couples. Now Emily is stuck pretending to be Ruby’s wife. Things start to take an interesting turn when she meets Max. The quote I chose for Emily is: “You were? But you said you were a photographer and that Penelope—That she was a model for you.”
Malayeka has her work cut out for her. She loves her job as a helper for Cupid. But as usual it’s not that easy of a job. She must deal with feuding families and a town who has their sides they are on. How is she supposed to get them together? What about Billie and Leo? Will they be able to bring the families and the town peace and form unity? This is a quick read filled with romance and I could not put it down. It is fast paced and exciting to read. The characters are also easy to fall in love with. The author has quite the knack for well written romances. I enjoyed this story and I know you will as well.

This is the second book I have picked up by this author and this makes the second book by this author that I have enjoyed. You have Emma, heir to The Thorn Ranch, young Emma, and Josie, Emma’s moms point of view throughout the book. The Thorn is a ranch that has been in Emma’s family for decades, and while it’s not your typical line of succession, this ranch is passed down to the only child in each generation, always a daughter. As a strong willed, smart, well rounded, independent woman Emma’s makes a great main character. The Thorn is so big that no one has ever been able to properly explore the land because there is an entire community existing below ground, and in caves on the property. Emma accidentally stumbles upon these people who call themselves The People, and desperately trying to protect their secret refuse to allow Emma to return home. After Emma accepts that she will be their awhile and starts to work closely with them I began to appreciate and even enjoy Chatpa, and Kai, and hoped that when competition for Emma’s hand began he would enter the competition, compete, and he ultimately won. In the process of wowing her Emma begins to fall for Kai and is torn by if she really wants to return or stay with The People until other males bring back a group of woman for wives and introduce a grave sickness into the community and everything begins to turn bad. I was a little confused when Emma began referring to the ‘sickness’ as Covid immediately although she had been kidnapped almost a year at this point and couldn’t have known what it was unless the woman that were brought into the fold said so but I don’t remember that happening. I appreciated having both Emma and Josie’s point of view because that keeps you up to date on what’s happening in the real world vs in the caves. Although I was sad at first with how I assumed the book was going to end the author surprised me and set the ending up beautifully to maybe continue with another book for a series but ultimately thrilled Emma seemed to be remembering Kai and she was starting to see a future between the two of them with him helping her with the ranch. Who knows maybe some of the traditions are due to change in the future.

Tink by D.M. Earl is a book that covers some intense, potentially reactive subject matter like rape, abuse, stalking, and trafficking of children, and adults. This series, The Devils Handmaidens MC, focuses on a women’s motorcycle club instead of your typical male dominated motorcycle club, even though they are mentioned throughout the book, for example The Intruders, and the Grimm-Wolves, which I thought was a new, refreshing take that I haven’t read much of. I loved Tink, a fierce, sassy, independent woman, and Noodles, an ex Navy Seal, and their romance, but I think Shadow, as Tink’s best friend, really stood out throughout the book. The focus of this club was to find and break up trafficking rings, support, and rehabilitate the survivors/victims. Tink and Shadow are tortured by their own private demons that they keep hidden because of something that had happened in their pasts. When Tink meets Noodles he begins to pull her from a darkness of her own making until the past comes to call and brings all her nightmares front and center. This is a suspenseful, thrilling book, that I couldn’t put down, and I’m incredibly glad that I took a chance on. I’m looking forward to book number two and seeing who manages to thaw Shadows ‘black heart’.

Kate and Chase have an interesting beginning coming together in a way to save a man’s life. Little did she know, she was talking to the man who hired her. I thought the characterization of both was well done. The setting being in Aruba lends even more romance to this story. It’s a little slow at the beginning, but the romance and suspense start to build soon. It’s a great story and I really enjoyed it.

The art in this children’s book is beautiful, I really like the style and the way the characters are acting out the dialogue in each scene. This book is really great at teaching perseverance, Carl didn’t let his sister’s antics and attempts to ruin his castle stop him from trying again and again to thwart her attempts in the future. It really shows how some siblings fight and act towards each other, seems like standard kids annoying each other. In the end they both had so much fun trying to outsmart each other that they wanted to do it all over again. Nice book, I do wish we could have seen them maybe work together in the end.
