This historical fiction book focuses on a murder mystery. The language throughout is a perfect example of what you would imagine 1904 to sound like, replete with surprises. The author did a masterful job of researching the time period to make it accurate and plausible. Go on a journey that will leave you second guessing until the end. Very enjoyable!

Minotaur’s Lair is the third and final book in the Servant of the Gods series by Luciana Cavallaro. I have really enjoyed following along on this epic fantasy series, so this final book was a little bit of a bitter-sweet read for me. On one hand I really wanted to know what happens and how everything would play out in the end. But then on the other hand, I knew this was the final and wasn’t reading to leave the adventure behind. This book proved to be another well-woven and action-packed fantasy adventure- with ancient history, intriguing mythology, gods, dramatic developments, danger, magic, the paranormal, mythical creatures, rich world building, agendas, revenge, and a few surprises. This book follows on from book two, and even though the author does a good job of ‘catching’ the reader up on what has previously transpired, there is something to be said for experiencing it all first-hand…. So, therefore, I highly recommend reading the first two books before starting on this instalment. Evan has been through quite a lot since we met him back in book one, but he’s not going to catch a break any time soon. Thrust into this adventure, Evan has been drugged and has forgotten the god’s quest. So, as you can imagine, nothing good can come from that. Set the scene for epic odyssey. It’s not only are memories and loyalties that are to be tested as all the action unfolds- and what ensues definitely makes for a captivating read. As I have mentioned before, Ms. Cavallaro’s attention to detail and obvious love of ancient history really helps to bring her story(ies) to life. She proves to have an eye for detail, and her descriptive details and snippets of history, as well as her ability to build tension really adds to the intrigue, atmosphere, and overall ‘feel’ of the story. It was so easy to be ‘in’ the story, and ‘see’ everything as it was unfolding. I can see this making a great television series. Happy Reading…

What a cute Christmas romance. Sienna and Connor were a good fit from the beginning in my opinion. They were just what the other needs to be happy.
Sienna made me sad, especially in the beginning of the book. She loves skiing and competing but it’s all she has known her entire life. She has no idea what else is out there waiting for her.
Connor came across as the typical over confident jock who found his worth in how much money and how many women he has. But then I saw past that wall and the real Connor and might have fallen a bit.

This is the first book I have read by the talented Via Mari; the synopsis was interesting and made me curious. The first page had me hooked, Katarina, better known as Kate, is in Aruba for a work conference on a new project. When a stranger suddenly needs medical attention and she performs CPR, before another man appears to help her. That happens on Friday night shortly after she arrived at the resort. Within 48 hours she has completely fallen for the stranger, Chase, that helped her Friday night, and he has fallen for her. Dancing the night away together on Saturday and exploring the island on Sunday. Finally, they kiss, and she asks for him to come into her room only for him to decline, for now. In the moment he strangely tells her to hold on to how she feels about him in that moment and remember it tomorrow. Confused she accepts his decline in the moment as she has a very busy night and her conference starting in the morning. At the same time the CEO of the company that has hired the firm she works for is emailing her, chastising her for working on the weekend while on a beautiful resort, and talks of renegotiating her contract so that she is not allowed to work on weekends. Monday morning everything changes, hurt, confusion and embarrassment are all Kate can feel when she sees Chase, the CEO, the man that hired her, walks into the conference room for the meeting and introduces himself. Will Kate allow herself to break her rule of not getting involved with someone from work? Can she hold on to the intense feelings she has for Chase? What will happen when his secrets come out? The world the author creates is beautiful, but the characters are so relatable that you can’t help but wish everything works out. Less than 20% through the book I couldn’t help but look up the other three books in the series so I could continue this amazing story. I can’t wait to see how their story develops in book 2 Degrees of Acceptance.

This was such a beautiful story! I normally don’t read this type of book, but I am so glad I did. This story is very well written and has amazing characters that you will fall in love with. Emma is young and strong with her whole life ahead of her. Then something happens that will cause her to question everything. The pull of Thorn Ranch and family are strong and will not diminish but she will have to fight harder than she ever has to see it again. I adore her strength and love Kai’s patience. The ending will take you by surprise, but this story is definitely worth the read! I will be looking for more from this author!

Snow in Love is a sweet holiday romance. Gave me hallmark movie vibes. The author wrote a sweet romance between two characters that are broken in their own way. Despite everything influencing their lives these two found themselves within one another. And the way the author perceived that was enjoyable. Sienna and Conner are polar opposites. She’s lived and trained her whole life skiing with her disability. Conner is new to the disability, after a tragic accident in motocross changed his life. Both missing the same part of their leg, these two are training to compete in the winter paralympics in skiing. Which lands them at the same Aspen resort over the Christmas holiday. Sienna, with a love of tradition and a disappointment of having to spend the holiday alone, is blown away by what Connor does to make her Christmas special. Unfortunately life happens so nothing has a happy ending, or does it? This is a book you cozy up with. Under a blanket with a cup of cocoa or tea and enjoy. I’m a sucker for holiday romances and this one definitely pulls at the heartstrings, but it’s so worth it!

The Fifth Daughter of Thorn Ranch by Julia Brewer Daily is a western read with romance and science fiction tied into it. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but I doubt it will be my last. I love the way she made you feel like part of the story with her descriptive landscapes and strong female protagonist. Without giving anything away, I’ll say that the concept of this book is well written, helping guide the reader on this adventure with Emma. There were a few things that felt manufactured just to progress the story, but despite these pulling me out of the story for a few brief minutes, there was always something to draw me right back in. The drama, different era feel, and romance were all interesting aspects to read. I hope this is going to be a series, because I’d like to see what happens next.

I just loved this story. Sienna and Conner are not the couple you think would work but the chemistry is off the charts. She is the sheltered golden girl and he is the typical bad boy. I just couldn’t help but love these two and route for them to make it. The ski lodge setting was just perfect too!

Straight off ending the second book I jumped straight on to this one. I could not wait to see where Luciana was taking this story. Minotaur’s Lair is the third and unfortunately final book in the Servant of the Gods trilogy. There is a cast of many but they feel like old friends now we are approaching the end. Imagine thrust back in tome to a world where mythological creatures and beings, gods and monsters reside. Imagine being shipwrecked without your memory of where you are and why you are there. Curses in practice, danger at every corner, enough drama to last a life time, tensions running high and palpable this and more is what you can expect in this epic mythological fantasy read. The stakes are high in this last leg of the quest to find the relics needed to stop the annihilation of the god’s an Evans way home. Luciana’s passion for all things Greek mythology shines through with this original, complex and cleverly crafted tale. I look forward to reading what comes next.

Once again myths and legends, mixed with action-packed tale, ancient mythology, mystical places, time travel, modern technology and historic events all rolled into one story, that had me once again not being able to put this book down. The drama was nonstop from the beginning all the way to the ending. The book was filled with maybe unexpected twists and turns throughout the story which really made up for an exciting read to the end. Highly recommend this story of Evans time traveling, God, myths and an amazing tale of adventure.

Once again Luciana’s passion has given us an engaging and unique story born of mythology. There is a seamless transition for readers from book one (which finished on a cliff-hanger) to this one as Luciana recaps details. The Labyrinthine Journey is another original and lovingly crafted tale from Luciana. It is woven with ancient Greek mythology giving the story much more realistic depth. This cleverly constructed fantasy tale will captivate you and make you feel like you are the one on this time travel adventure. Danger is high when Evan finds himself transported from current times back into ancient Greece in mythical times. On a quest to save the Gods Evan and his Atlanteans friends find things don’t go the way they should as they are thwarted by those opposed to the god’s survival. With a whole host of characters, mythological creatures and beings, gods and monsters this vividly rich and well-crafted and complexly woven tale draws in and is only limited by your imagination. If you like mythology and fantasy tales where the characters are believable characters then this series is for you. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

As the title suggests, Snow in Love is a fun festive romance. Two paralympic skiers are set to spend the holiday season training together. Their coach hopes they will focus on skiing and not get too distracted by each other. That goes about as well as you’d expect…
What I really like about this book is how it explores the differences in experience of two people with seemingly similar disabilities. Both have a lower limb impairment, but Connor’s is the result of a fairly recent accident which ended his motocross career whereas Sienna was born with a partial leg. We see not only how this affects their approaches and outlooks, but also the assumptions they make about each other.
This is a great book for fans of sports romance, particularly if you like winter sports or parasports. The otherwise unoccupied ski resort makes a great setting for a wintery romance! This book gets five stars from me. Definitely a good comfort read!

This is a new author to me and I was intrigued by the story line in the synopsis and decided to dive on it. This is a very well written story and I really enjoyed this book.
Thorn Ranch has been passed down from generation to generation and Emma is 5th generation to run Thorn Ranch. During her ride out into unfamiliar territory in her vast land, she must take refuge after losing her horse in a cave. Emma is rescued by “The People”…….. but will “The People” allow her to leave so she may return to her home? Will Emma know and learn from ancient secrets that Thorn Ranch may hold?
This story is interesting….I really enjoyed the characters and story overall. Romance, intrigue, twists….and I love the details that the author provides…..wonderful!!

The Labyrinthine Journey is the second book in the series by Luciana Cavallaro. I was not able to start with the first book, however, I was easily able to catch on to what was going on. You can tell there was a lot of effort put in to these characters and researching the time and place Evan is in. The book kept my interest throughout. I love mythology and this was a perfect fit. Definitely would recommend this read.

This was such a sweet romantic read! I really enjoyed this authors writing style and how she describes the scenery. I love both Sienna and Connor’s characters and how much they have overcome. They are two totally different people and come from completely different worlds. Connor is not what I expected at all in his character, and I love it! There is one character that I was not a fan of and am glad things worked out the way they did. There is some awesome character building as well. I absolutely love the ending to this book and loved that there is an epilogue!

This is a great little story. It’s a book that adults will enjoy reading with their littles and the littles can read on their own. It’s a nice reminder of how innocent kids are and how they see the world around them.

Adrik and Annika’s story might just be in my top three favorite reads for 2022. I did read this as a stand-alone without any problems but you can tell other characters have a story to be read so I’ll definitely be going back to read the rest of the series. There’s so many amazing things about this story, the characters pull you so completely into their world it’s hard to leave when the end comes. Once I started this book I simply couldn’t put it down. I read it in one night and wished I could have slowed it down but I was just way to invested. I’ll definitely be rereading this one though. Well written with characters you’ll fall for. Five huge stars and highly recommended!
A cute book about a boy named Caspian who meets a cat who he names Stuck while playing frisbee with his grandfather. Stuck and Caspian have a few adventures together. Kids will enjoy this read!!

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance with a feel good festive feeling. Sienna Markum, a Paralympic skiers favourite time of year is Christmas, as she loves all the traditions, but most of all the time she can spend with her family. Sienna is training for the Paralympics in the hopes of winning Alpine gold, so is looking forward to a much needed break from training over the holiday period. Meanwhile, Connor Shoemaker, the bad boy of skiing, plans on continuing with his training for the Paralympics, and so has no plans for Christmas. Ever since a motocross accident took one of his legs, Connor had also lost his confidence. When the pair meet at training, Sienna is not happy as she was told that her training would be private, however, she soon starts to enjoy being with her new training partner. When Sienna’s Christmas plans fall through it’s Connor who comes to her rescue, however, she has to decide if she’s willing to balance her training with a relationship. Connor, meanwhile, is hoping to regain his confidence on and off the slopes, and to also have a chance at love with Sienna. This was a lovely, heartwarming romance with great characters and a magical snowy setting, which kept me happily turning the pages. I loved the fact that the two main characters were Paralympic’s, and dealing with disability issues, as this is unusual in romances. The couple had amazing chemistry and I was hoping they would get their HEA, especially for Christmas!

When I reviewed book 2 I said that the authors creative storyline, descriptive detailed writing, wonderful characters and intriguing combination of Ancient History, Mythology and Fantasy would 100% keep you captivated from start to finish and it absolutely continues in this 3rd and final book for this truly amazing series! With such an action packed, adventure filled storyline and an ending you may well find unexpected you will cement your love of this very talented author for sure!! I know I have. From now on just seeing her name on a book will be enough for me to want to read it.

This is a fantastic and detailed story that draws you in and makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. The author has created imagery so strong that you can vividly imagine what is happening. As the final book in the trilogy this book really ends on a high. This is easily my favourite book out of all of them and I didn’t want it to end. I loved the Greek mythology element to this. It made it so much easier to engage with the book as there was a lot of information that I was already aware of. I really enjoyed going on Evan’s journey with him. He was easy to relate to, despite being a 12-year old boy. This is a fantastic series that I have loved from start to finish.

I loved that Connor fell first, he is kind of a simp for her, paying attention to her competition color and her favorite wine. And I can’t believe he asked her to wait and get to know her better! So cute!! And their flirting is also very cute. Sienna’s mom is a total itch and her dad is a tool. I liked the pop culture references, they added a little fun and humor to the story. I also really liked that they both had different experiences/feelings about their legs, and how the author explored both the differences and similarities of losing a limb vs being born without one. Overall, very good holiday book!

Wow where do I find the right words to review this book! I know that no matter what I say I won’t do it or the author the justice they truly deserve! I made the mistake of starting with book 2 so I will be going back to the beginning and starting again. Don’t get me wrong if like me you started with this book your enjoyment will in no way be hindered by that but let’s face it when something is so amazing why wouldn’t you make sure to read everything possible to truly enhance the experience. The Authors creative storyline with plenty of twists and turns, descriptive detailed writing, wonderful characters and intriguing combination of Ancient History, Mythology and Fantasy 100% keeps you captivated from start to finish. Personally I simply can’t wait for more. I need more Evan!!!!

I loved this story. It was so cute and wholesome. It follows Amaleigha, a 5 yr old who loves the outdoors and nature. She comes up with a brilliant idea and with determination and the help of others, she brings it to fruition. She proves that even young children can have a powerful impact on their community and the world. I hope you read it with your young ones, and I hope it encourages everyone to go out and do your very best for this world. Most of all I hope it encourages everyone to go out into nature more often.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book was sooo good, it had so much angst and I personally love that because it makes me feel so much. Their love is beautiful but complicated and I love how we were able to travel everywhere while reading about Enzo and Phoebe’s love as well. The writing itself was a bit confusing at times but nothing too bad. It can be very triggering so be sure to check the trigger warnings but it really is worth reading. Highly recommend this book.
