Very good! This is the second in a series, but can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the first book in the series, but am eager to do so after reading this one!
Grace and Ryan are very different, but both struggling through a shared loss, and now through a shared goal! Grace is a determined and independent woman and Ryan isn’t looking to get involved with anyone, but after years of not seeing one another, can they make the best team?
This was an emotional read with amazing characters. The author developed a strong setting and does a great job developing relatable, likable characters. This one will keep you turning the page!

I LOVE books by Debra Parmley! She always knows how to grab my attention from the get-go, and Saving the Bellydancer is no exception. I enjoyed getting to know Cutter even though I would love to learn more about him. His drug of choice is strippers…and while it seems shallow, he truly admires their grace and athletic capabilities. He wonders if he will ever find anyone that will make him feel something more. Zarifah is an ex-gymnast who turned to belly dancing. When she meets Cutter, you can feel the chemistry jump off the page. There are plenty of steamy scenes as well as drama and suspense with Zarifah’s ex barging into one of her performances. Will Cutter be able to protect her, or will their journey end before it truly begins? I highly recommend picking up this book AND this series!

The author addresses young children who are eagerly awaiting their chance to be finished with babyhood. Vivid illustrations accompany each scenario proposed by the main character concerning her future preschool. Readers learn what they might be able to look forward to, at least when it comes to leaving babyhood behind. The main character learns that even though she looks forward to something new and exciting, it is normal to have some anxiety to sort through. The author and the illustrator have done a truly amazing job with their precocious preschool pirate!

Super short read and I went in blind, had no idea what the book was about. It’s set in the late 1800’s and western, so that’s different but the book was decent. Not a typical book I read but it had my attention. Had spice and it made me laugh quite a few times 🤣 A maid is being framed for something she didn’t do and this cowboy tries and helps her out and ends up falling for her. If you want a quick read, about a grumpy Cowboy and a woman in jeopardy, read this.

I am not sure where to start. I was hoping for a raunchy read even though I am not into all the kinks that are displayed throughout the book. This is my first experience with this author, as well. So I thought, why not. I like a good forbidden romance with a little kink.
I can tell you that it wasn’t the kink or kinks (including erotic humiliation, degradation, edging, light bondage, pubic play, and raw sex) that bothered me. I am not into all the kinks and some got to be a bit much but they did not take away from the story. What took away from the story was the strange dialogue, the excess details and explanation, the overall length of the story, and the almost ending. Let me explain, I will try to keep it brief. There was a lot of dialogue, which normally I love! Some of it was stilted and weird, like not fitting the scene or the character. Some of the dialogue even detracted from the established characters. And, then waiting until like page 400 to let the sister/best friend find out??
Xena is Veronica’s (aka Ron and Ronnie) best friend. For years, Xena has been secretly in love with Ron’s brother, Vaughn. Twist! Vaughn has been secretly lusting after Xena for years as well. Vaughn has finally decided that he has waited long enough and wants to be with Xena. The one thing holding Xena back is Ron’s reaction. Ron and Vaughn didn’t have great parents and only have each other. Xena didn’t want to come between the siblings. Vaughn convinces Xena to pursue a relationship with him but agrees to keep it quiet at Xena’s insistence. Enter a secret bad guy. Ron finds out. She does not take it well. Threats are issues, choices made.
Maybe I missed it but can anyone tell me why Ron calls Xena Jay? I will probably read the second one just to know how it ends. If the bad guy gets what is coming to them. If Vaughn finds out the truth. If Zippy gets Finn. So many questions. Not great but not the worst I have read.

This book went in a different direction than a typical story by the author with whom I am most familiar. Sure, there were the usual themes of revenge, drama, organized crime, fighting for justice of women that were used for the sport of their men, and steamy scenes. But the special gifts were an interesting twist. Not bad, just interesting.
Whitney started hearing voices about a year ago. As she grows ever closer to 30, her grandmother says that her gifts will improve. The grandmother is willing to train her to use her gifts. RIght now, she has a pretty insistent voice telling her that Whitney has to help her, Juliana, bring closure to Juliana’s ex-boyfriend. When Whitney agrees to help Juliana, Whitney discovers one small problem.
Dominic has never had an easy life. After his neglectful mother finally left him on his own at 16, he managed to survive. Dominic met a woman that he loved when he was 20. Juliana was everything to him but her wealthy father didn’t approve of Dominic. When Juliana disappeared, her father did everything to blame Dominic, even having jailed and tried for her murder, although a body was never found. Now Dominic isn’t a kid anymore and has more money and power than Juliana’s father ever did. Dominic has long planned to ruin Juliana’s father.
Enter Whitney. One look, one word and Dominic is thrown off his game. How could Juliana be there, in the lobby of his office building? Except, she is claiming not to Juliana, that her name is Whitney. Cue mayhem, revenge, ghosts and bad men popping out of everywhere. Whitney helps Juliana with the closure that she needed, but will it help Dominic?
I am in whenever Anise is writing. So far she has not led me astray. I am there. It is good. This was no exception. Taylor is growing on me. Don’t stop!! I am there for the next outstanding collaboration!!

This is a really well-written and intriguing story that is full of twists and turns from start to finish. This is one of those books that truly feels like it could go any way, at any time. I thought the author did a great job of pulling you into the story and making you want to see how it would all play out. I thought the dynamic between all the characters was really well done. They all played their part perfectly and fit into the overall story with ease. This is the first book that I have read by this author but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the book was easy to get into and it kept my attention from the first page to the last. I am looking forward to reading more of this author in the future.

It is October of 1952 and Miriam Becker is on vacation in Argentina. Although the war is over, it still haunts her memories. Miriam was nearly killed on one of her missions as a CIA Agent and she is finding it difficult to move past what happened to her and the horrors of war that she witnessed. When she thinks that she has spotted a war criminal from her past Miriam is uncertain if it is really him or just ghosts from her past resurfacing to torment her. She is still reeling from her discovery when someone else from her past suddenly reappears out of the blue.
Jack Devlin manages to track down his friend and fellow operative in Argentina which surprises Miriam. Although she was supposed to return from her last mission some time ago she decided to remain in an effort to recoup from the horrors of war she had witnessed. Jack has another mission for her that involves smuggling a heavily guarded rocket scientist and his family out of Soviet controlled East Berlin. A mission that could spark World War III if they make one wrong move.
When plans for their mission go astray and Jake disappears, it is up to Miriam to complete the mission on her own. Although she trusts no one she must rely on people outside of the agency to help her get the rocket scientist and his family out of the country. She must also devise a plan to rescue Jake and bring him to safety.
This book was based on real events and was a real eye opener for me about the efforts made by so many behind the scenes not just during the war, but afterwards as well. Miriam is one tough cookie who could think quickly on her feet and come up with innovative solutions to problems. Thinking outside of the box was not only smart but courageous. Miriam was determined for her mission to succeed and for everyone to be safe. This book was full of action, suspense, intrigue, and mystery. A must-read historical fiction!

Caitlin and Seraphine are fed up with their lives being ordered around and planned for them. They long for adventure! One way to get to an adventure faster is to reactivate the Nexus that their parents shut down fourteen years ago. Imagine their surprise when they do such and then find themselves in a completely different community; one they never even knew of existing. They quickly learn that there are more communities like the one they landed in, and they are all underwater. While some of the communities have thrived as best they can, other communities have become more militaristic in their pursuit to stay alive. All of the lessons that they have learned over the years, be it by schooling or punishment, serves them in their very real situation of trying to stay alive long enough to contact home. Can they get back home at all? Or will they have opened up home to invasion by the communities that are struggling to survive? Will there even be a home to return to?
This was a fascinating read for me! Having read this series from the beginning, it was fun to see the girls’ point of view on how they saw things transpire. The book is from Caitlin’s point of view, and she is a 21-year-old struggling to come to grips with what it means for her to have a “special role” to fulfill in order for mankind to even have the possibility of living outside the domes and underwater communities. I think the author caught her angst of wanting to be on her own, but guilt at how she snuck around, and also leading her sister into danger. It was interesting to find out there were whole new communities and their struggles; seeing how they chose to deal with dwindling resources. While some exceeded expectations, other grew hostile and guarded.
I am looking forward to seeing the next installment in this series and what the author adds next!

This is a very quick read so if you are looking for a quick, but solid romance this is the story for you. I will preface this with saying there are some TWs such as domestic violence and abuse so please know that going in. I really loved how well the author handled this topic. Parmley did it with grace and kindness while still underscoring the harshness of it. One of my favorite aspects of the book was Cutter’s relationship with his grandmother. It’s very cute and realistic. Cutter and Zarifah’s relationship is dramatic from the get go, but they each learn that being in a relationship is not only about loving the other person, but also about loving yourself. I loved the quickness of this read but without loosing any complexity. Parmley was able to develop characters and plot lines in a very short amount of time. Great read!

Another awesome love story full of thrills from Debra Parmley. Edith Smith is a former competitive gymnast turned American Belly dancer, who goes by the stagename Zarifah. Navy SEAL Cuttino, or “Cutter” as his friends call him, has a penchant for going for strippers, saying he only goes after them for their athletic build and grace, much to the dismay of his grandmother, who wants nothing more than for her grandson to settle down with a nice girl and start a family. Edith’s ex-fiancé just will not leave her alone, and is demanding that she marry him and give up dancing, but Edith is have absolutely none of that, and tells him she never wants to see him ever again. When Zarifah and Cutter meet, the connection is instant and electric. Zarifah has finally found someone who supports her dancing, and Cutter has found someone who he can actually take home to his grandmother. But Zarifah’s ex just can’t stay away. He shows up at one of her performances, with a loaded weapon no less, Cutter is put to the test to see if he can save the day and Zarifah!
It’s a short read, so I highly suggest it to get the juicier details of their love story!!!

No names, no contact, no information on the other person; just a night filled with passion. And unbeknownst to both of them, from that night of passion was born a child, a boy named Bryce, their son. After Bryce turns 2, Stan is out of prison, and he finds Pippa and Bryce, and kidnaps both of them. Thankfully Diesel, (our handsome gladiator) is a Navy Seal, and was already on his way to find Pippa after finding out she has a son, and the child is his. I highly recommend reading this book with all its twists and turns and suspense and thrills! I promise you’ll love it!!

Lilly Saint James has had a good life travelling and attending prestigious schools throughout Europe where she has been taught manners and proper etiquette. Throughout her travels and schooling she has also mastered several different languages including French, Italian, and German. Lilly has never wanted to attend these schools and instead yearned to be home with her mother. When her mother suddenly dies in 1938 Lilly feels lost and angry that she was not able to be there. She lashes out at her stepfather and becomes desperate to find her way in the world. All Lilly really wants to do is to help with the war effort but is unsure how she can do so.
When Lilly is discovered by the OSS (Office of Strategic Services), an agency newly formed by the government, it gives her the opportunity to work undercover as a spy. When Lilly stumbles onto an opportunity to become a nanny for a German Army Colonel she is able to gather valuable intelligence to take back to the Allies. Lilly’s life is at risk at every turn and even more so when she is captured and tortured by the enemy. Will Lilly survive the torture? Will she get the intel into the hands of the Allies?
This book had me intrigued from the beginning and I fell in love with Lilly’s character. Not only was Lilly intelligent, but she was quick to think on her feet as well. The sheer bravery and determination it took for her to continue going was admirable. Lilly found a way to survive the harshest of conditions and keep going under circumstances where many others would have just given up. Lilly never gave up hope that she would get her vital intel into the hands of the right people. I found myself cheering her on as she trudged through snow and the cold. I prayed that she would find food and shelter. I cringed and cried when Lilly was captured and brutalized. I hoped and I prayed that Lilly would continue fighting and reach her destination.
This book gave me valuable insight into the lives of the brave men and women who risked life and limb during the war. Many of whom worked tirelessly behind the scenes and did not receive recognition for their sacrifices. It made me appreciate even more so the heroic actions of those who fought in the war and what they sacrificed to keep us safe. To all those who risk their lives to keep us safe, thank you.

Troy Cullen comes from a dysfunctional family that is barely held together by his mother. His father is abusive to Troy’s mom and is downright cruel to Troy. His upbringing has made it difficult for Troy to socialize well with others and he prefers to keep to himself. When Troy comes home from work one day and discovers that his mother is dead something in him suddenly snaps and he starts to spiral out of control.
Then to make matters worse his ex-girlfriend Veronica pops back into his life and announces that she is pregnant. This is a girl that has not been able to understand that he does not want a relationship with her and that he wants nothing to do with because he thinks that she is crazy. Veronica has no intention of going anywhere and intends to make Troy love her so they can be a perfect, happy little family. Troy feels as though he can no longer control anything in his life. Now that tiny thread that has kept Troy from losing controlled has broken and Troy sets out to seek revenge on everyone that has ever hurt him.
The closer Veronica gets to Troy and his family the more she realizes that something is not quite right. She has questions about his family, so she starts to dig into Troy’s family history. That is when she discovers the killer gene that gets passed down from generation to generation. This concerns Veronica because she is worried about how it will affect their baby, but she loves Troy and wants to make things work.
This book plunges you deep into the story from the very first pages and hooks you right from the get-go! I have never read a book that sucked me in and held my attention like this one! I took Criminology in College and am an avid reader of True Crime books, so this book caught my eye, and I knew that I had to read it. It was impossible to put down and took so many twists and turns that I had no choice but to continue reading to find out what happened next.
The characters in this book were ones that the reader cannot fall in love with nor relate to but they are intriguing. Troy comes across initially as being meek, mild, and perhaps a bit mousy. However, when the one person he truly loves dies something in him snaps and his dark side comes out. Years of trauma and abuse that he has pushed down have surfaced and he can no longer contain them. You can understand why Troy has snapped based on how he was bullied and abused through school as well as at home, so you want to feel empathy for him, but his actions make that impossible. It is obvious that he should have sought counselling in his earlier years but if there is indeed a killer gene in his family then perhaps counselling would have been useless anyhow.
Veronica is a girl that cannot and will not take no for an answer. This quality in others might be commendable but in Veronica it is clearly not the case. She is obsessed with Troy and resorts to stalking and bullying her way into his life. Veronica intends to make Troy hers and will stop at nothing to make that happen. When she starts talking to Troy’s father, she uncovers some dark family secrets that make her want to know more. Rather than run from the crazy family with the killer gene, Veronica embraces it and immerses herself farther into Troy’s life.
This book was a fast-paced, grab-ahold-of your-seats, intense psychological thriller that plunges you deep into the dark and troubling world of a boy who suffered abuse, bullying, and trauma from a young age. It leaves you feeling sorry for the way Troy was treated throughout his life and at the same time perplexed that he took such a dark path to deal with the abuse. My emotions were all over the map as I tried to figure out the complex character of Troy and determine whether the trauma was what motivated him or if it was the killer gene that he was unable to control. The way the different storylines melded and wove themselves together kept me riveted. I felt the ending left the book open to a sequel with what may become of Veronica and Troy. Will their story continue? Will Troy continue on his path of mayhem and destruction, leaving bodies in his wake? If Troy has the killer gene which makes it impossible for him to stop then it would not be out of the realm of possibility for him to become a serial killer. Now, that would be an intense sequel. Perhaps he ends up with Veronica by his side after all? This is not only a fantastic read, but it would make an amazing movie! Highly Recommend!

A great book, but unfortunately a very short read. I would have loved to have seen more detail in both the characters and the plot. The author did a great job of keeping me on my toes, but it ended all too quickly. I enjoy a complex book, but this lacked that complexity that I love. I can say that I cannot wait to dive into the rest of this series because I want to know what happens next!
The romance is there, but not as in depth as I would have liked to see. Honestly it is difficult to talk about this novel without giving anything away because of how short it is. I guess you will just have to pick this book up for a quick read!

I have to say.. I was on the edge of my seat with each paragraph I read. I was eager to know what happened next. In some instances, it was predictable, but other times I was surprised. There was an incredible amount of detail in each paragraph, that there was a deep understanding for the characters and what they were thinking. The way the author wrote about the characters and the plot felt like I was watching a movie.
I cannot get over the detail. Troy comes out of the book and you feel sorry for him but you get frustrated with him at the same time. And then you get to know Veronica more, and that is all I will say about that. You will have to read more to know what I mean. Be careful though, once you pick it up you will not be able to put it down.

Kelleher</a><br/> My rating: <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5343797958″>5 of 5 stars</a><br /><br /> I cannot say how I thoroughly got caught up in this book, it is one of the few ever that I felt I needed to finish as quick as possible (to see how everyone ends up) but also I did not want it to finish, as I did not want it to come to a stop, yes it is one of those books.<br />The world building and character development is extremely well done.<br />We meet Aubrianna 2 years previous to the main story, setting us up for the main story by her meeting an unknown man whilst trying to get back into the family area of the castle one night. Fast forward 2 years and the whole world changes for Anna.<br />An arranged marriage to someone she does not know, ends up showing Aubrianna just how strong she is, bringing forth the historical lineage of the women of her line.<br />Larkin is the playboy nephew of the queen, the fates have dictated and the stars have aligned for him to meet his Anna again. 5 Star’s Saving the Bellydancer (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 3) by Debra Parmley
Saving the Bellydancer is the third book in the Green Brotherhood:Seal TeamXII and is a Military Romance that I read in o e sitting. I’ve read other books by this author and this is my favorite yet. What’s not to love about this book. Navy Seal, bellydancing and romance and so much more. This is a fast paced short story that about a Bellydancer,,her ex and a Navy Seal. There is definitely chemistry between the dancer and the Seal. Can Toni actually settle down with one woman? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading many more books by this author.

This is the first book in the Delilah Crumbworthy Mystery Series, and it was a very cozy novel. All about new beginnings and starting over with a murderous twist! It was an easy read and had a whole host of interesting characters that kept me intrigued. I will definitely be following along with the series to see where Delilah ends up next.

This book was easy to follow and intriguing to say the least. I was excited about the murder mystery itself but the further you read, the more you get caught up in the lives of the characters, how the business is going and Snowflake Valley itself. The Muffin Shop Murder by Holly Tierney is the first in her new Delilah Crumbworthy Mystery Series. It follows baker Delilah as she opens a bakery in Snowflake Valley, Idaho. Within the first few pages we are introduced to Delilahs’ down-to-earth, bubbly personality. Soon after the intrigue begins as mysterious letters, late-night visitors, and odd occurrences begin. The story is a nice and light read, however, I had imagined a murder mystery when I picked it up so I was surprised when there was no murder in the first few chapters. That being said, it is a good mystery with some interesting twists.
Antipodes by T. S. Simmons is a very intriguing book. Not only have I learned several new things but also the characters are very relatable, especially Cam. Reading this book definitely brings a different perspective on how people from different ways of life come together to work towards the same goal.

Elizabeth Benoit has returned back to her home town, newly divorced and elected as Sheriff she is trying to balance the roles and people in her life. There has always been a nagging memory from her past which she can not let go of, when her best friend turned up dead and the police just swiped it under the carpet since coming back, she has been destined to find out who killed her.
One Halloween night a body turns up exactly where her friend was found can she keep her emotions under wrap and help solve who is the killer. Lila has come back from her ordeal and the first case she gets is to investigate the murder of a school girl but as she works through the investigation she finds links to her boyfriend Kyle and the sheriffs best friend but what dirty will be uncovered in the small town.
I am glad to be back into Eckhart County with Elizabeth and Lila, this story can be read as a stand alone but there are some references to the previous book just as in the relationship aspects of the flow. This does not disappoint as right off in the first chapter you are drawn into the story and I enjoyed discovering the past of Elizabeth and understanding why she return to the town of her childhood. This story draws you more into the inner workings of the town and understand the relationship between all the major characters. I loved the twists and turners, trying to piece together all the elements and getting to see inside the relationship of Rafe and Elizabeth.
I can’t wait to read the next book and see what these brilliant characters get involved with going forward and how each of the lead relationships work out and progress along the way.

This is book 3 of The Green Brotherhood series. They can be read as a standalone as each book focuses on a different member of the brotherhood. This is a romance story where the Seal is handsome and charming and definately a man who isn’t ready to settle down. Our leading lady in this story has just got out of an abusive relationship and her ex isn’t quite finished with her yet.
You can’t help but fall in love with Cutter and Zarifah. There has never been a woman that could hold Cutters attention for long until he met Zarifah. Zarifah on the other hand loves how supportive he is towards her dancing and the chemistry between them grows and sizzles. However there is one shadow lurking in the background. Zarifah’s abusive ex. When he turns up to her dance show can Cutter be the man to protect her from the danger her ex is planning? Will their attraction grow into something more? Will Cutter’s granny finally see him settle down with a nice girl? These books are short reads but they are action packed and full of sizzling chemistry.

Lila is running away from her past, she thought she would be safe in the sleep town but when she is called to a dead body thing start running away from Lila.
When Lia was in the Chicago PD she investigated a gruesome serial killer but as they were getting closer to the killer he decided to shut Lila up. When she attacks the killer left physical scars but also emotional ones to, settling in the new town as a Deputy she thought she could push all the nightmares away but when a dead body turns up with the words that were whispered to in the final stages of the attack, she believes he has followed her to finish the job, but when a blast from her past turns up thing just spiral into chaos.
Sheriff Benoit is new to the job but not to the town having grown up there she is determined to clean up the corruption which has rotted in the police department for years, but when dead bodies start showing up and they are linked to one of her deputies, things start taking a turn for the worst and throw into the mix a State trooper and it will be a competition to rush to find who the killer is.
I have just pick this series up at book 2 and I read this easily as a stand alone book. I have not gone back at the moment to read the first book but will do in time. This book had me griped from the first chapter and was intrigued to consume as much of the book in one sitting.
I loved the characters of Lila and Elizabeth two strong females leads and both just as sassy and stubborn as each other, the secondary characters enhanced the story and injected more mystery into the story. I do have to say the plot and twists and turns where excellent and the story flowed and held my interest all the way through. I can’t wait to read more of this duo in the future.

Cristy and Adam are like gasoline and matches, their chemistry is palpable. She is a mega pop star with a past, and he is one of the stars of the rock band Balefire. Together they make more than fire! This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I must say she did not disappoint! I cannot wait to read more, I appreciate that I didn’t have to read the other books in the series first to understand what is going on, but I must say I definitely want to read the rest and see if they are truly a standalone series or if they all tie together like I suspect (even subtly).

Strong characters and baseball Really enjoyed this sports based romance. The author has put a little bit of everything in this book about a fake relationship turning into something more.
