Rowan Sheridan is a Celtic Warrior living in modern times, he had his family have been protecting regular humans from The Morrigan, a fearsome Goddess hell bent on their destruction for generations, but time is running out for Rowan as his twenty eights birthday approaches, he has yet to find his talisman, the woman who fate has matched him with and the only one who can work with him to defeat the triple threat of vengeful goddesses, rogue warriors and zombies. Alyssa Macaulay is a young woman with the personality of a wallflower and a stubborn streak to match, she was orphaned at a young age and raised by her Grandmother, but she is not just a normal human, she just doesn’t know it yet.

One evening, Alyssa and her best friend are having a normal weekend outing at a bar, people watching and having a couple of glasses of wine, however, when two drop dead gorgeous men enter the bar, they find themselves having some unexpected company, Alyssa knows she doesn’t stand a chance when compared to her flawless friend, she is surprised when one of the men chooses her and her best friend goes home alone. Rowan cannot believe his luck when he sees a woman across the room and steers his companion towards the two women there, but when he tries his sign on one of them, he finally finds his talisman, so after a quick discussion, he ends the night. Now Alyssa isn’t one for one night stands, albeit Rowan is, but she cannot deny that she is attracted to him and he to her, so when he drives her home, the last thing she expects to happen is to uncontrollably want this man, she would rather talk, but her body and Rowan, both have other ideas.

After they are physically spent, Rowan tries to explain their connection to Alyssa, but when he realises that she has no knowledge of his world and has never been told who or what she is, he is shocked and knows he has to bring her up to speed quickly, thankfully she is smart and a fast learner, despite the shock his revelations create in her. Can Rowan teach Alyssa everything she needs to know before danger comes calling, or will they be ripped apart before they can really begin? This is a fantasy adventure full of Celtic lore married with modern times in a seamless and exciting way, where revelations are around every corner and danger comes not just from supernatural beings, but emotions as well in this tale of steamy paranormal romance and supernatural action.
