White picket fences by Kyle Ann Robertson is a great look into how a family deals with an unexpected death.
Follow Julie Scott and her family through picking up the pieces after her son Curtis passes due to aneurysm. This is a wonderful book for someone who is grieving an unexpected death, it shows that grief is different for everyone. About a year has passed when you meet the family, stuck in not knowing how to move on, but keep his memory alive. Through the story Julie, Michael, Nicole, and heather find a way to bring the family back together as a unit. They create new traditions and start healing. A very wholesome, heart felt read.
