This is the second instalment of The Echo series, another enjoyable romance. This series can be read as standalones as each book focuses on a different couple.

Once again, the author has created vivid imagery of both the scenery and the characters. I found myself picturing each scene with ease and feeling like I had stepped into the story to join them. The writing style used was smooth and flowed very well, making the experience more enjoyable.

Calliope has had some trauma in her past which throws a spanner in the works for the budding relationship between her and Brandon, however the development she goes through shows how strong she is.
Brandon also experiences some character development and I love his character a lot, but Calliope’s resilience and strength make her my favourite.

Please be aware domestic violence is addressed in this book, but it is not graphic. I would still advise anyone who is affected by this topic to consider this prior to reading.
