Loved this book! The bratva is now disbanded and Efrem Popov is trying to strike out on his own. I’m doing so, his new boss Miranda takes a chance on him. He’s so eager to prove his worth, that he gets caught up in a romance, and the lies begin. He is Punk, a predator, and she is hunting him. Can they move past the deceit and secrets? Or will their secrets come back and ruin their lives for good?
This book was amazing! Love the series, but this book has been one of my favorites! Wonderful characters, edgy romance, desire and want fill the pages. The descriptiveness of the feelings and the perspectives from the characters are so well done, you lose yourself in this story. Read this book if you like action, romance, perseverance, and crazy plot twists.

I really enjoyed getting to know these characters through their story. Both, Ace and Ivy have their own battles, yet still come together to find their happiness. I really felt the characters and storyline were well developed, easy to read, and entertaining. I would recommend reading this book.

Twisted Proposal is the third book in the Central Florida Stories series by Victoria Saccenti. This is a contemporary romantic suspense with drama, danger, tension, angst, emotion, agendas, BDSM, Dom/Sub, secrets, and revenge. Victoria Saccenti has crafted fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. Both our MC’s have their own baggage and challenges, which added extra angst, tension, emotion, and interest to the whole story. I don’t have young kids any more as mine are all grown but had this book been around when they were little I absolutely would have read this to them time and time again. It truly is a fun read that had me laughing quite a few times and the illustrations are just gorgeous and complement the storytelling beautifully.

If you want a read that fills your heart and has you believing in love again then this captivating Fairy tale retelling is for you. As other reviewers have mentioned it is a friends to lovers M/M romantic tale and in my opinion is has so much to offer the reader. Yeah man woot woot after much anticipated wait, I got to dive into this. The next installment of the Popov Boys books. Although this isn’t my usual trope(older female/ younger male), this was a really extremely good read.I was so glad I read it, it was yet again another non stop read for me. Boy Efrem and Miranda were made for each other and the chemistry between is wow 😍 This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you read this and the rest of these amazing stories. Ps Mafia world gotta love it. Pps what’s next bring it on 😀 i can’t wait.

This book could occupy me for a long dang time. Where past and present flip back and forth but not in a confusing way. I really enjoyed the interesting style of the author and how well thought out her characters were. Getting to follow the different storylines was so exciting and I honestly just felt like the book gave more bang for its buck. I have never read from this author before and while the dystopian-esque style isn’t my first grab I’m learning it definitely can be. This book will capture your attention and hold it all the way through!

This book was an absolute addiction from the get go! Before I knew it, it was one in the morning and I still couldn’t put the dang thing down! It’s a great forced proximity/marriage of convenience romance, and the way the two main characters just connect with each other is amazing. I love this series, and I love this author so much. These books are high on my list of fantasticness, and I cannot recommend them enough! If you love a nice little cowboy romance, then this is the book and the series for you!!

I have read book one and book three of the Bluestone series and I have loved them both! I enjoy the town that the stories are set in, the characters, and how the story unfolds. I didn’t feel like I was missing anything with not having read book two, although I will because I love Reeds writing, and the series itself, but even though the characters are in all of the novels they are each focused on a different couples story. They also all have a happy, fulfilling ending, so no need to worry about any cliffhangers. If you into quick, fun, fully fleshed romance stories, with some snark, spice, with real world troubles I can confidently recommend Isobel Reeds Bluestone series!

This is a cute story, a reimagining of Jack and the beanstalk. This series by this author is really interesting as it provides new perspectives on old classics. The story is one that many children will enjoy. I enjoy this author and recommend her to anyone with children who love to read.

From the moment they meet Ivy and Ace are attracted but refuse to act on it. They are thrown together for business purposes and it ends up being so much more.
Seeing Ace recover from his both his physical and mental scars was great, when he finally made the leap he went all in. When you have the right person with you anything is possible and that showed in both Ivy and Ace.
Ms. Reed did a great job keeping me interested and wanting more.

Anticipation. Having read two of the previous Popov Boys books, four (Thief) and five (Beast) I was very excited to read the next instalment in the series. This book takes place a few years after the previous book. Thanks to Efrem the Bratva is no more, and the family businesses are now all legal ones. Told from a dual perspective, we have Efrem Popov and Miranda Patton. Efrem is the youngest male in his family and while a hopeless romantic that was picked on by his cousins, he is the last to find his happily ever after. Punk, his alter ego of sorts is the local vigilante of L.A., capturing criminals of all kinds and leaving a note for the police of their crime always signed “Punk”. Miranda is a record label CEO, after catching her husband cheating with three groupies, she files for divorce that gets nasty quick. Her previous bookkeeper was a friend of her ex-Mick and when he quits, she has no choice but to hire a new one. Efrem, being a genius with numbers like his father shows up in her office with an offer she can’t refuse, she accepts if only to have a little eye candy for the short trial period. Quickly the chemistry between them is evident and hard to deny, both giving in briefly before pulling back, trying to keep professional as boss and employee. Without realizing they share a similar secret, Efrem is Punk and Miranda is hunting for him. Will Miranda allow herself to enjoy being wanted and forget about the superficial excuses? Can Efrem find redemption for his past sins? Knowing the book has a happy ending, the best part of the book is learning the journey the characters must endure to reach it. Once again, I love seeing this world and getting little updates about the previous books’ characters. Also, the author’s ability to introduce characters so early in the series but then show that it was only scratching the surface and that no amount of guessing could have prepared you for the story to come.

This is the first book in The Reeds of West Hills series. It is about The Reed family, Frank and Jon (twins) discover they have special powers. Frank can read minds and Jon can see the future. They come by this gift from their mother. They get sent to a school in Washinton State to learn to adjust to their new gifts, and with magical adventures ahead. This book is wonderfully written and perfect for kids in middle grade. I personally can’t wait to share it with my grandson who is 10 and loves to read. As an adult I loved this book and can’t wait to see what other adventures await.

I’ve read the first book of this series and was so eager to read more of this series! One thing I worried about is feeling that I’d be lost without having to have read the second book in the series but with only a few things that do come up about the previous series characters, it can be considered a stand alone story. This book involves Ivy, who has inherited her grandparents’ ranch and she is trying to keep the ranch afloat. Ace, a retired Marine, has been living on Ivy’s ranch and helping her however he can. In his efforts in helping her, he attends a meeting Ivy has set up with a businessman to help the struggling ranch but after seeing how Ivy is being treated, the notion of their “engagement” comes into play to help secure a better team for the ranch. As the “engagement” trail reaches out to others, the attraction towards one another begins to affect. See where this all leads as you read to see what happens next! So worth the read!

This book… was wonderful, let’s just start out by saying, I had no idea what I was in for with this book and author. It was complete and utter torture, the slow burn is real with this novel and it made the climax ten times more wonderful, I loved every second of it.
The relationship that blooms between our handsome french man and his student makes my toes curl, the attraction between the two being almost instant and having to wait to see how things played out built the narrative between them seamlessly. Chandler and Cassandra relationship is what my dreams are made of, their age gap, sudden attraction, will they won’t they, fierce protectiveness is all a girl can dream to have. Chandler is a dream boat and a wonderful male lead even through all of his attempts to push casa away and fight his undeniable attraction to her. And Cass was just a lost girl, who’s become a woman who knows where she belongs, and always has and that’s next to Chandler.
This is my first novel from Liza Snow but I can say it will not be my last.
The first chapter or two was a little slow for me, I had no idea that by continuing to read I’d be thrust into this intriguing world of love, sex, betrayal, games, mystery and more. Be warned though, before getting hooked like me, this story will leave you on a cliff grasping to hold on. This book has a awesome amount of suspense and intrigue to it, not just some sappy love story to swoon over( though it is completely swoon worthy) and though the suspense and angst between the two main characters had me face palming more than a few times, I couldn’t help but fall in love with them.
Anyways, I highly recommend giving this book a shot, you might be pleasantly surprised like I was, and unable to put the book down, you never know.

What Do The Plants Say? By Lois Wickstrom is a cute story about Alex the inventor. Alex believes that the plants are talking to her so she invents a translator. She then talks to the plants and find out that they want to fly. The story is completely adorable and shows how young children can be so creative. Many of the stories I’ve read by this author are scientific related and while this was not, it is still important to allow children to be creative. I would say this is more for ages 5+, I typically read these to my 2.5 year old but she didn’t really understand the imagination just yet, she did try talking to her plants through!

This was my first read by this author and it will not be my last. The story was well written. It keeps you wanting to turn the page to find out what happens next to the boys. The book is about a group of boys in a juvenile detention center. The boys are referred to as the boys of Alpha Block. It follows them in their struggle to escape to freedom. The experiences they go through pull at your emotional strings. Will they find freedom or become trapped in the abusive system?

Fee, Fi, Fo, Grow: The Real Magic of Beans by Lois Wickstrom was a very cute adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk. I love reading these adaptations because they each have a little bit of science in them that is easy to explain to my 2.5 year old. My daughter loved this story. We talked about beans and how they grow. How we can plant seeds to grow more plants/beans and so on. I think it’s important to talk to our kids about this so I’m very glad that Lois has taken some old favorites and added in just enough for young minds!
I’m already captivated by this book and that’s just from reading chapter 1. So if that doesn’t convince you to read this, i don’t know what will. I knew I was going to be obsessed because every other book in this series I’ve LOVED so much. Please read the other books in this series before reading this one, you won’t be disappointed. Okay back to finish the book and I’ll be back to let you know my thoughts…okay I’m back and I only read the second chapter 👀 lmao. I didn’t expect that twist but wow, I’m in for a ride! Okay back to reading. But I’m going to tell you to read this just based off the first 2 chapters! I’m already invested! I LOVE EFREM! This was a very cute story about how animals possibly see us humans. How we live must really be very peculiar to them and even rather scary. My 4 year old granddaughter found the story amusing. She really liked the illustrations too. I would definitely consider purchasing this book for gifts as well.
This was a interesting retelling of Sleeping Beauty. Retellings are stories I enjoy because I like to see how authors make a well known story their own. The main characters in this were names Ayo and Yi. They had a sweet MM romance that was very angsty more times than not and just an fyi this story isn’t written in the 1st person so it was a little harder to connect than my normal stories but you got more sides of the story besides just the thoughts of the two mc’s. I thought the characters were good and their overall story was interesting! Happy Reading!

Beast is Book Five in the Popov Boys Series. Although this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. This was a beautifully written story about two scarred souls who form a friendship that builds into a romance. Adrik has earned the name Beast because his face is badly scarred from having been attacked by a dog when he was a child. He feels that he has no hopes of ever finding love because of how he looks. Annika is a mafia princess who Adrik has been assigned to protect after she was attacked so viciously in the past that she was temporarily in a wheelchair. When her attacker resurfaces and threatens to finish the job Annika is put under the watch of Adrik and one other bodyguard and kept in a safe location. Adrik and Annika begin to grow close as they spend time together sharing painful secrets and confiding in one another about feeling like outcasts. When Annika’s attacker seeks to follow through with his threats, Adrik vows to protect Annika at all costs.
The storyline of two scarred individuals forging a friendship that turns into more over time is what grabbed my attention. The characters were wonderfully written and lovable. Beast/Adrik’s past is painful as he comes from an abusive home. He vowed to become something and has worked hard over the years to work his way up in the Popov Crime Family as their interrogator and thug. Having been viciously attacked by a dog as a child has scarred him on the inside as well as on the outside and he feels as though he is a monster that is unworthy of love. He has always admired Annika from afar, but she has been off limits to him because it is his boss’ daughter. What he does not realize is that Annika has always been curious about him, and she also does not feel like she belongs. Annika is not a spoiled princess but is kind, compassionate, empathetic, and loving. As they spend time together Adrik realizes that this beautiful woman can see past his scars. This book was wonderful with action, suspense, mystery, drama, friendship, forbidden romance, passion, and a few twists and turns to keep you reading.

Thief is Book Four in the Popov Boys Series. This author was new to me, and I have yet to read the first three books in the series, but I know that I will be going back to read them. With that being said, although this is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. This book will suck you in from the first few pages and have you hooked on the characters of Dominik and Leah and the undeniable chemistry between them.
Dominik works for the Russian Mafia and is known by his name Thief. When Dom tries to steal Leah’s car, things do not go as he had planned. He certainly did not expect the car’s owner to jump in the front seat or confront him. When Dom discovers that the car’s owner is a famous country star, he decides to let her go but she must not tell anyone about what happened. Dom knows that she will not say anything because he knows of the dark secrets, she carries that will ruin her career if revealed. He puts it behind him, or thinks that he has, until he runs into her again while visiting his brother. As the two spend time together the attraction between them grows and the chemistry becomes intense. When Leah’s secrets and dark past come back to haunt her and put her life and future at risk Dom vows to protect her at all costs.
This book was fast paced, had a fantastic storyline, and great characters. The way in which Dom and Leah meet is unusual to say the least. When Dom and Leah meet, it seems as though they could not be more opposite in how they live their lives and who they are. Dom is used to keeping a low profile, is a bit rough around the edges, and refuses to become attached to anyone. Underneath that tough exterior is a man with a big heart who finally meets his match and lets his guard down. Leah is a celebrity who is used to being in the spotlight and having all the attention on her. Under the glitz and glamor is a woman who has been harboring secrets from a dark past and who has been living under a false identity. When the two meet the chemistry between them sizzles and the attraction between them grows. This book was full of action, suspense, mystery, intrigue, secrets, lies, chemistry, passion, and twists and turns that will have you reading until the end.

Ivy has done everything she can to save the ranch, but with sexist views on how a woman’s place is to be seen not heard amongst other things she is struggling to prove herself. Every time retired Marine, Ace is around though he finds her in the most embarrassing situations, but when Ace sees how things are going for her he steps in. Pretend engagement has Ace moving into Ivy’s place, the attraction is intense but for Ace he can’t believe anyone would want him in a physical way due to his scars. Ivy though sees past it and just sees Ace for who he is. Can they Ivy and Ace keep everything platonic or is the attraction between them both that has been simmering about to sizzle?
Really good story. I thought Ivy was so entertaining, every scene with her is delightful. I really liked Ace he is full of swagger. Great series, definitely an author to keep an eye out for.

Punk is book Six in the Popov Boys series. Although this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. The series keeps getting better with each book though, so I highly recommend reading the first five books. Each book gives a bit of background information on the different recurring characters, and then focuses on one character for that book. This storyline is centered around the attraction between a younger man and an older woman.
Efram is a bit of a wild guy with a few inner demons and baggage that he has been carrying around since his aunt’s death. Trying to flee from his past he goes out at night as Punk and pursues criminals to bring to justice. His nighttime activities as Punk put his life at risk so he attempts to give it up. He applies for a job as a bookkeeper at Miranda’s record company and Efram and Miranda feel an instant attraction to one another. What Efram does not know is that Miranda thinks that Punk is responsible for killing her brother and she has vowed revenge against him. She is also in the middle of a messy divorce from her rockstar husband after she caught him repeatedly cheating on her. Miranda does not want a relationship while in the middle of a divorce, especially one with a younger man. However, Efram feels a connection to Miranda and is determined to be with her. Will this attraction lead to more? Or will it sizzle out before it ever gets a chance to start?
Another phenomenal story by this talented author. I will admit that this one intrigued me because of the younger man and older woman storyline. (My husband is fifteen years my junior and we have an amazing relationship, so this naturally captivated my attention.) So often it is older men with younger women, so this was a refreshing change. The added elements of danger, secrets, lies, hidden identities, and crazy exes really made this a riveting read. The characters of Efram and Miranda are written beautifully and the attraction between them practically explodes off the pages. Efram comes across as a bit of a wild card as he pursues criminals to bring to justice but underneath that rough exterior, he is trying to work through a past that haunts him. Wanting to leave that behind him leads him to Miranda. She too, is working through inner demons and carrying around baggage. Miranda is a smart, determined, hardworking businesswoman with a good head on her shoulders. She tries to deny her attraction to Efram but the chemistry between them was explosive and undeniable. This book was full of action, suspense, drama, secrets, intrigue, mystery, suspense, chemistry, passion, romance, and twists and turns that will keep you reading until the end.

This is the 6th book in the Popov Boys series and can be read as a standalone however after discovering the author in December reading the previous 2 books, I highly recommend you read from the beginning of the series!
Once again, the author has proven why they became a fast favourite. They’ve created another set of characters to fall in love with and root for and hooking me from the very start.
I’m once again left with a longing for more of this series and an impatience at not being able to dive straight into another new read in the series.
I though the age gap was written well and made believable. Given everything Miranda has going on in her life, she proves herself to be a strong and independent mother. I love how she was written and how things build between her and Efram.
It’s not just the romance that keeps you reading either, there’s more to it than that. The secrets and suspense were incorporated so nicely, it really came together well.
I’ll be honest and say I had my doubts as the blurb didn’t seem like the rest of the series, but I was blown away by how much I loved this instalment.

One thing that I have come to expect when I see that Lois Wickstrom has published a new book is that this book will be one that I will want to share with everyone that I see. This is such a fun look and twist on the classic fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk. It contains some of the same elements but adds new and whimsical twists. In this story the giants are in trouble and only Jacqueline can save them. This is such a fun twist on this story and it definitely shows kids the importance of sharing what you have.
Wow! Each and every book in the Bluestone series is better than the last. They definitely all can be read alone, as they each focus on different people in the small town, but I won’t recommend doing this because you miss the charm of Bluestone by reading them in isolation. In this story we meet Ace who is a former Marine who has come to Bluestone to start over. He was injured very badly in an accident and wants somewhere small where he can feel hidden. He starts living in a cabin on the property of Ivy. Ivy inherited a ranch from her grandparents and she wants it to continue to succeed. He brother helps financially but he does not help out physically. That’s where Ace comes in. He is working to stay in a cabin. Ivy thinks she can handle anything that is thrown at her, but she didn’t expect the old boys club that is ranching. Ace comes to her rescue and the rest is well its found in this amazingly written book. I loved this book so very much, Ace and Ivy definitely were great characters who were flawed and who really needed each other. I found myself rooting for them at every turn. I also cried like a baby throughout this one as each keeps thinking they are doing what is right. This book is fantastic and I can only hope that there is more to come in Bluestone!

Bound by the Hinterlands is a fantasy romance tale and is an intriguing read. The development of the story was done well. Her world building and her vivid words make the world seem real. The journey is full of darkness, panic, tension, turmoil, danger, and drama this story gets more interesting as things unfolds. What is within the oppressive darkness in the forest? The characters were well written, crafted, developed and real. There are those you will love and those not so much. If I came face to face with some of them, I would give them what for a taste of their own medicine. Cressida longs for a life of her own. To be free of the constraints placed upon her. Unfortunately, that is not in the cards. Cressida is one of those characters that you become invested in. So much so that you want to grab by the hand and help her get to where she wants to be. Will she find what she is looking for? Will she be seduced by the secrets in the darkness? Will she lose her way? I am looking forward to seeing what Bree has in store for us next and where she will take us.

This book is freaking fantastic. This is the first book in the Bluestone Series and I definitely cannot wait to read the other books. Bluestone is a small, rural ranch town and this book definitely gives so many good feels of a small town. It features two of the most amazing characters. Lilly is running away from London, from the life she knew. She is running towards … Well she isn’t sure. She knows that her father, that left her when she was little, has left her a hardware store and an apartment in Bluestone. She knows that she maybe wants to know something about him, but she also knows that she isn’t happy in her real life right now. Jake is working on a ranch with his sister. He has never had a real, serious relationship and the new girl in town has caught his eye. What he doesn’t know is that his sister also has caught the new girl’s eye and they are about to become the best friends that the other needs. This new revelation complicates things, because if he wants the new girl he can’t do what he has always done. But he is also the first to admit that Lilly (the new girl) has a different effect on him. He definitely feels things that might seem like this relationship might last. Lilly and Jake have an amazing relationship. Their banter with each other is amazing. Each is very flawed in a very relatable way. I know I related to Lilly on so many levels. And Jake he just seemed so genuine. I also liked that Jake knew Lilly’s father. I feel like that really helped add depth to the story. I love knowing that this is a series as there were so many characters that were introduced that I really want to know more about – Sam and Duke, Lilly’s sister, Teddy at the bar. I love the small town feel and it made me want to up and move to Bluestone, it seems like a place that would feel like home.
