Soul Redeemed (War of Destiny Book 5) by Theresa Van Spankeren – Review by Santana Hicks

Soul Redeemed (War of Destiny #5)Soul Redeemed by Theresa Van Spankeren
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is the fifth book of the ‘War of Destiny’ series. Julia is still struggling with control of her powers of speaking to the dead. For years she thought she was crazy, now that they are catching on that her past actions have to do with her powers, they are trying to teach her more control while getting ready to convince the council that Julia is sane and remorseful of the past.

Julia has no faith in herself but knows that she will have to step up for the sake of her ka-tet. When it came time to convince the others of her powers, she called upon Valerie in hopes that what is said is convincing enough. On top of that, she has a vision that Jonathan is planning to ambush a group. Julia acts quick and makes a plan to change the outcome of the vision. Unfortunately, some believe it was a vision while others believe she is still attached to Valentino and that’s how she knew about them being there.

It’s hard enough to work together when there is so much distrust let alone the possibility of Valentino coming back into the picture.

Although this isn’t my favorite of the series, it was still a great read. The rollercoaster of emotions I have had for Julia throughout the series is crazy. I liked her, then loved her, then hated her and now I am back to liking her. The author did a great job writing the redemption of the ka-tet.
