As they explore the chemistry between them Mickey’s ex decides to interfere and has Mickey worried that she is going to ruin what he and Toni are building.
This was a fun quick romance. I liked the chemistry between Toni and Mickey. Mickey radiates charisma. Looking for a short holiday romance this is a good one to pick up.

Annie Miller and her siblings set out on a new adventure. Annie has found the perfect place for her B&B. Her next goal is to get her B&B up and running. Craig has come to Montana to see his cousin get married. So while on vacation he needs to find something to do. Two very different people, one bound to Marietta and one lives in Portland. This is a small town romance that had me within the first couple of pages. The story is romantic, funny and unexpected. The author may be new to me, but now she is not. I will be looking for more as this story captures my heart. Even if it did mess with my emotions. It was well worth the time and money spent on this book. This is a must read for those romantic readers.

What a delightful installment to the series. This time Emma has taken us on a journey to Paris and the Paris Exposition. I love how the mystery started right off. Who sent the tickets? Who is this society? ????? The author does such a nice job of setting things up right from the beginning. You just can’t help but being pulled right in. Things are never as they seem with Emma’s mysteries and she will always get to the bottom of it. I found the writing to be wonderfully detailed. Such extravagant details of the food and the lifestyle, it felt like you were there. The journeys to get there, hearing about Tim and Dora’s friendships, so much going on and yet, so easy to keep up with. I enjoy this series and this author’s writing. The characters are always so colorful. I enjoyed this one and I cannot wait for the next in the series.

Having never read any of the series, I was impressed this read as a stand-alone, but intrigued me enough to check out the other notebook books!
I loved when Jules called the Eiffel Tower the “vulgar” iron structure- my family (in a lighthearted manner) calls it similar names (or unfinished!). My favorite quote from the book was “The Case of the Vanishing Lady” and “The Woman Who Knew Too Much,” which summarizes the cases Emma, Jeremy, Tim, and Dora unexpectedly fall upon while visiting the 1889 Paris Exposition. I also enjoyed learning about the exhibits through the fictionalized story, and appreciated the “real” facts at the end of the book.
Be prepared to drool over all the wonderful Parisian food treats as you try to solve the mysteries in this book!
Annie Miller has had tragedy in her life, losing both your parents is a trauma but when you lose them together in the same accident you become lost but knowing she had to look after her brother and sister they decided to make a break and move to a town which held both good memories and a new start for the family.
Marietta was the place that her parents had taken them on holidays and the right place to make a new life, buying the B and B and making it home was all Annie was thinking about. Her sister was getting married in a few weeks and all the arrangements were getting sorted, but Annie worried about the business, she had a few bookings but nothing to make it a living which she needed to do. Although Janie has suggested her godson a big marketing man from Portland, Annie had reservations about working with the handsome man from the big city.
Craig O’Sullivan is becoming disillusioned working for a big firm, with the new contract they have just won meant that a smaller marketing company folded and that does not sit right with him, so when his Aunty Janice calls saying she needs help with his cousin’s wedding plans he sees this as an opportunity to escape the race for a bit and unwind. When he arrives to the small town of Marietta, he is pushed into helping Annie with her marketing strategy for the B and B but once he meets her the sparks fly and he can’t get her out of his head.
They decide to see where these sparks go but can they both agree on the short-term fun or when its time to say goodbye can they or are there hearts too invested in each other.
I loved this story; it was fully of swoon moments and just a good romance from start to finish. This is the first book I read by this author and loved the storytelling that flowed from the page. The character of Annie was lovely and although her confidence had been hit with a shovel by her ex-partner, I loved the willingness in the end to take a chance and go for what she wanted. Craig’s character was a perfect accompany to Annie and although he seemed confident and sure on the outside there was the doubt in him that he would be hurt and abandoned just like his parents had done all those years ago and that giving your heart always meant heartbreak.
The secondary characters were brilliant and enhanced the story and showed the families merging as one, please tell me that Riley and Mitch get together in the end as that chemistry was also jumping off the page and deserves a book of there own lol. Thank you for letting me invade and feel that these people could be my friends to.

This book was a great remake And I loved how Goldilocks came in and fixed everything. The six simple machines are used for many different things as pointed out in the book. Wedge, Inclined plane, wheel and Axle, screw, lever and Lastly pulley. Great twist to an old favorite.

4.5 stars Notebook Mysteries ~ Parisian is the sixth book in the historical crime series Notebook Mysteries by Kimberly. Make sure to read them all in order even though they could be read as standalones, but you get to learn about Emma and watch her grow. I was excited to see Kimberly had another Notebook Mystery for me to get my hands on. I have grown to love with the multi-layered characters Emma and Jeremy who once again put their super sleuthing skills to the test in Gay Paree and the 1889 Paris Exposition. Having been to Paris makes it all the more exciting because it makes it easier to imagine the places and goings on. Kimberly has become one of my favourite writers and her narrative draws you into the intrigue and mystery, suspense and drama. The story is well written, and I was invested and engrossed with every twist and turn from start to finish. This adventure has it all to keep the pages turning from danger to murder to kidnappings to threats and crime and much more. It’s easy to get lost in with the vivid scenes of Paris from the city lights to the Eiffel Tower to the river Seine. If you love an historic sleuthing story, then this great new addition to the series is for you.
This is the 3rd book in the Buckeye Fall Series. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone and still enjoyed. This is a small town romance and the author has a really unique way of bringing the characters to life and making them relatable. This book really hit hard for me as it is about a couple who love each other dearly but who due to life commitments (work, kids,commitment to others) they lose themselves and their relationship. This hit me as there has been more than 1 occasion I have found myself in that position too. I understood everything Natalie and Anthony were going through. I felt the love they have for each other but also the despair they felt when they realised that in the chaos they were losing themselves and their relationship and how hard it feels to even try and regain what they once had as a couple.
I found myself willing for them to both see that even though its going to take work they can find their way back to each other again but are they both willing to put in the effort needed to do that or will it be too little too late?
This is a moving story which could have been based on my own personal relationship. I related to it so much and the characters as well as their struggle to do it all for everyone while trying to resurrect their marriage.

This was a quick read for me. I had a really difficult time liking Phoebe. She agitated me and I had a difficult time connecting with her. With that said, it didn’t take away from the overall plot for me. I really liked Laurent a lot and he saved my overall feelings for the story.

Aimed at children aged 4 to 8 years old they will delight in this unique retelling just like my Grandbabies did. Simple and colourful pictures showcase this original tale of 6 simple machines that help in a variety of ways. Lois stories engage young minds and inspire their imaginations. I mean if Lois’s imagination creates all these wonderful children’s books imagine what a child could create as they hear the tale. Be sure to have this book on hand to read to kids.

The author Bree Kraemer did an amazing job on Zara Dewan’s character and on Noah Ashe. All that Zara wanted was fun in a non-relationship but love can bite you back when you ignore the fact that there is always one male or female who wants you but for a serious relationship. Bree gave these two characters life in a world where sometimes you can have both or nothing at all. Zara is my type of girl who wants to be free with no strings attached but having someone to love you is not that bad at all… Love this book.
Laurent has lived in and worked at his families Vineyards for what seems like forever, but getting to his position in the company has taken hard work and determination, although he always felt like he was missing something in his life when his best friend and really love of his life Phoebe left all those years ago.
Phoebe left the small town which had her heart years ago, leaving everything and everyone was one of the hardest decisions he has ever had to make but with all the tragedy that has happen in her life she wants comfort and familiarity and to collect on a promise hopefully Laurent has not forgot about. Leaving him was the hardest thing of all but over the years of roaming the world and not wanting to settle down it always leads her back to Vine Valley and the unconditional love of a man.
Standing there in the tasting room was the scariest thing Phoebe had done but seeing him all the old feeling came flooding back and will he be able to forgive her and help her in this dilemma.
This is the first story I have read by this author, and it was a heartwarming read, the chemistry between the two main characters was a joy to be a part of and the angst and pain felt in some of the conversations were real and to the point. I love a flawed character and Phoebe unfortunately was a product of mental abuse and sheer tragedy in her life, with her only escape was running.
Laurent character was a great counter to Phoebe’s but with his utter loss and being heartbroken when she left not knowing where or why she vanished as imprinted on him and with him wanting to trust and be with her moving forward. I also thought the secondary characters added to the flow and depth of the story.
I can’t wait to read more by this wonderful author and hopefully more in this series.

I love the two main characters Caitlin DeDanann and Evariste Gage. Who knew that reincarnation of his wife would be Caitlin? When I was reading this book, I thought Evariste Gage was human or at least normal and Caitlin was the vampire but it is an amazing story of how he felt like his wife was in her all this time. Love this story and the author did an amazing job.

I was a little skeptical going into reading this book since I haven’t read the 2 preceding in the series. I was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t feel like I was missing anything by not having read the others. I loved the storyline and main characters. I do wish there was more background than there was, more detail in childhood and so on with both main characters. Yes you get the over all picture but I feel like it was glanced over and just got the bare minimum for the story to work. Kind of a spoiler but I didn’t like the drama with the brother as there wasn’t a whole lot of detail and it could have been better. Overall I really liked this book and finished it in about 5 hours or maybe a little less.

This is a cute retelling of Goldilocks & the three bears with a science twist. Goldilocks uses her knowledge of simple machines to help out the Bear family. The story is kept pretty much the same, but I especially like the recap at the end of the book explaining each of the simple machines and the example from the book. Very cute and educational!

Second chances and baseball This contemporary sports romance is the third book in the Playing for Keeps series. It follows Kia and Jeff as they navigate their second chance romance which comes with a ready made family. I really enjoyed their story and it was easy to get swept up in the dialogue and storyline. Another great addition and looking forward to the rest of the series. Recommend.

Engaging and excellent FMC This is a well written motorcycle club romance. Taz is a strong character, she carries a lot of secrets but has her MC family. Her past catches up with her and she needs to draw on support from unlikely allies. Being the third book in the series there’s a bit that is explained in the previous books so it would be good to read the series from the start. There’s a lot between the pages that will appeal to a wide audience. Recommend.
Sliding Into Home is the fourth book in the Playing for Keeps series by Lauren Fraser. It is a contemporary sports romance with a secret baby trope, angst, drama, chemistry, single mother, professional baseball player, jealousy, meddling, tension, and emotion. This is Kia and Jeff’s story- who had an encounter six years earlier that left more than an impression on them. Now, secrets are about to come to light. What happens makes for a great read. If you are looking for a quick and easy sports romance that has some emotion, angst, interesting characters, and drama- then this might be the book for you. Taz is the third book in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC: Timber-Ghost, Montana Chapter series by D.M Earl. This is another fantastic MC romance- a romantic suspense with so much emotion, danger, action, darker themes, drama, suspense, secrets, lies, family, chemistry, tension, intensity, and much more. I love this series so much- even when Ms. Earl rips my heart out, stomps on it, and then sews it back in my chest… so I was really excited to get my hands on this third instalment. I dove right in as soon as it landed on my Kindle, and stayed glued to the pages until I had read every single word. All I can say is WOW- this story makes choosing a favourite even harder, as every new instalment just seems to get better and better- making for a sublime series. As I have said numerous times now, I can always count Ms. Earl to deliver a heart-pounding, emotional, and tense read- she never fails to instill plenty of heart and soul into her stories which makes for a very memorable read. I am hooked on the Hidden Valley Elite series and was so excited to see that we are moving on to Phoenix’s story. Phoenix is Shane’s twin brother who does not do relationships, unlike his twin who’s been dating the same girl for the past two years…until now. Phoenix meets Aspen and it is lust at first sight for the both of them, too bad Aspen is a virgin and Phoenix doesn’t do relationships, or will he? I love how Isla Vaughn continues building upon the relationships of her past characters while bringing in new love interests for our main men. They are all such well-developed characters, that they feel like people you went to school with when you were a teen. This book definitely took a turn that I was not expecting for the talented football player. Of the two twins, Phoenix had always seemed like he had his head on straight and his eye on the prize of the NFL. Too bad a one-night stand may have caused that to take a turn in a new direction. What is he going to do with this strong pull that he has for Aspen, will they be able to work things out, or will their situation change everything? I’ll admit this book originally threw me as it was not entirely what I was expecting but then that was a good thing! I fell more in love with the characters as I went along and loved all the sidekicks, plus the fact that the leads were not your typical alpha male and stunningly beautiful but unaware heroine. It was definitely a page-turner with plenty of laughs sprinkled in – a great read!

This was a good 4 star read. I was pulled right in with the author’s writing. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I had several LOL moments. We get so much from these two, love, pain, LOL moments and so much more. These two haven’t seen each other in years. When Ryan and Christy see each other again the old spark comes alive. Can they make it work the 2nd time around? Will Ryan be open to being a dad? Overall this was a good read. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone.
